PDMS membrane pervaporation coupled with fermentation is a promising process for efficient bioethanol production since ethanol inhibition is relieved or eliminated. From the perspective of process operation, membrane separation performance, ethanol fermentation performance and the subsequent processing on membrane downstream are the three key issues. This review aims at contributing a comprehensive overview on the operation performance of the integrated process. The state-of-the-art of the three key issues related to the operation performance is focused. | 3 | A shedding soluble form of interleukin-17 receptor D exacerbates collagen-induced arthritis through facilitating TNF-α-dependent receptor clustering显示文摘Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)is exacerbated by TNF-alpha signaling.However,it remains unclear whether TNF-α-activated TNFR1 and TNFR2 are regulated by extracellular factors.Here,we showed that soluble glycosylated interleukin-17 receptor D(sIL-17RD),which was produced by proteolytic cleavage,enhanced TNF-α-induced RA.We revealed that IL-17RD shedding was induced by the proteolytic enzyme TACE and enhanced by TNF-αexpression in macrophages.Intriguingly,sIL-17RD was elevated in the sera of arthritic mice and rats.Recombinant sIL-17RD significantly enhanced the TNF-α-induced proinflammatory response by promoting TNF-α-TNFR-sIL-17RD complex formation and receptor clustering,leading to the accelerated development of collagen-induced arthritis.Our observations revealed that ectodomain shedding of IL-17RD occurred in RA to boost the TNF-α-induced inflammatory response.Targeting sIL-17RD may provide a new strategy for the therapy of RA. | Sihan Liu Yanxia Fu Kunrong Mei Yinan Jiang Xiaojun Sun Yinyin Wang Fangli Ren Congshan Jiang Liesu Meng Shemin Lu Zhihai Qin Chen Dong Xinquan Wang Zhijie Chang Shigao Yang | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,8: | 1 |
| 4 | A leakage particle-wall impingement based vibro-acoustic characterization of the leaked sand-gas pipe flow显示文摘Solid particle leakage detection in double-wall pipes is industrially important,especially in chemical and petroleum engineering.Here,we developed vibration and acoustic sensor approaches for the characterization and comparative study of the applicability of leakage sand particle detection from the flow of gas pipes.A specific wideband vibration sensor and pressure-field microphone were selected to identify the vibro-acoustic characteristics within 50 kHz of the particle leakage.The vibro-acoustic time-behaviours and characteristic frequencies of particle leakage were observed by the time-frequency method.The leakage gas flow noise was verified by coherence analysis and minimized by a digital bandpass and band-elimination filter.Corresponding experiments were performed,and good agreement was found between the release pressures(0.1-0.3 MPa)with different leak sizes(0-8 mm)under different sand masses(120μm)and vibro-acoustic Root-Mean-Square(RMS)levels.In the comparison of the two methods,the vibration method has a better frequency response for the leakage flow and is good for identifying whether there are particle leaks.The acoustic method has a time behaviour response and is good for establishing the relationship between the particle mass and signals.In addition,the acoustic method has frequency shift features with a better signal to noise ratio.The acoustic method lays the foundation for future work of more complex leakage detection combining the advantages of vibration and the acoustic method. | Kai Wang Yinan Hu Min Qin Gang Liu Yichen Li Gang Wang | 2021 | Particuology2021,19,2: | 1 |

| 8 | Moxibustion for COVID-19:a systematic scoping review显示文摘Objective:Moxibustion has been widely used in the prevention and treatment of COVID-19.However,there is no systematic review of current topics and clinical findings on moxibustion for COVID-19.We conducted this scoping review to systematically summarize and analyze the themes and findings of published articles,and to provide an overview of current knowledge and practice of moxibustion for COVID-19.Methods:PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,China National Knowledge Infrastructure,SinoMed,Wan Fang Data,and VIP databases were searched from inception until April 2022.The relevant data were presented through bar graphs,structured tables,and figures along with descriptive statistics and analysis.This scoping review was conducted based on the PRISMA-ScR Checklist.Results:A total of 76 articles were reviewed:47 reviews,19 clinical research studies,seven systematic reviews(all were protocols),and three guidelines.All the studies were conducted by Chinese researchers and published from January 1,2020 to March 14,2022.The feasibility of moxibustion in the prevention and treatment of mild or moderate COVID-19 is based on the consensus of therapeutic mechanisms and effectiveness.The most adopted approach was the suspended and gentle moxibustion,and the most frequently applied or recommended acupoints were found to be ST36,CV8,CV6,CV4,CV12,GV14,BL13,LI4,ST25,and LR3.Conclusions:As a convenient and safe traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)therapy with its specific feature,moxibustion has been significantly effective at ameliorating mild or moderate symptoms among COVID-19 patients.Further large-scale,welldesigned research and international cooperation are still warranted in clinical evaluations of moxibustion. | Meng Xia Bo Pang Shaowei Yi Xinjue Shan Shizhe Deng Yinan Qin Tao Jiang Hai Lu | 2022 | Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine2022,2,3: | 0 |
| 9 | Research and Application of Example-Driven Surface Deformation Method显示文摘Despite the large work made in interactive mesh deformation, manipulating a geometrically complex mesh and producing realistic deformation result is still a challenging work. Example-driven deformation methods distinctly simplify the modeling process and produce realistic deformation result by incorporating knowledge learned from shape space. We introduce a rotation invariant feature representation and a reconstruction framework to accurately reconstruct the vertex positions.Our feature representation allows both interpolation as well as extrapolation and can effectively blend multiple shapes. Based on this, we achieve an example-driven approach to mesh deformations. By using a collection of models as examples, our method produces natural deformation results guided by them even with large movement of handles. We will apply our representation and reconstruction method to semantic deformation transfer.
