1Tai Ji Quan as antihypertensive lifestyle therapy:A systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Professional health organizations are not currently recommending Tai Ji Quan alongside aerobic exercise to treat hypertension.We aimed to examine the efficacy of Tai Ji Quan as antihypertensive lifestyle therapy.Methods:Tai Ji Quan interventions published in English and Chinese were included when they involved healthy adults,reported pre-and postintervention blood pressure(BP),and had a non-exercise/non-diet control group.We systematically searched 11 electronic databases for studies published through July 31,2018,yielding 31 qualifying controlled trials.We(1)evaluated the risk of bias and methodological study quality,(2)performed meta-regression analyses following random-effects assumptions,and(3)generated additive models representing the largest possible clinically relevant BP reductions.Results:Participants(n=3223)were middle-aged(56.6±15.1 years of age,mean±SD)adults with prehypertension(systolic BP(SBP)=136.9±15.2 mmHg,diastolic BP(DBP)=83.4±8.7 mmHg).Tai Ji Quan was practiced 4.0±1.4 sessions/week for 54.0§10.6 min/session for 22.3±20.2 weeks.Overall,Tai Ji Quan elicited significant reductions in SBP(-11.3 mmHg,95%CI:-14.6 to-8.0;d+=-0.75)and DBP(-4.8 mmHg,95%CI:-6.4 to-3.1;d+=-0.53)vs.control(p<0.001).Controlling for publication bias among samples with hypertension,Tai Ji Quan trials published in English elicited SBP reductions of 10.4 mmHg and DBP reductions of 4.0 mmHg,which was half the magnitude of trials published in Chinese(SBP reductions of 18.6 mmHg and DBP reductions of 8.8 mmHg).Conclusion:Our results indicate that Tai Ji Quan is a viable antihypertensive lifestyle therapy that produces clinically meaningful BP reductions(i.e.,10.4 mmHg and 4.0 mmHg of SBP and DBP reductions,respectively)among individuals with hypertension.Such magnitude of BP reductions can lower the incidence of cardiovascular disease by up to 40%.Yin Wu Blair T.Johnson Shiqi Chen Yiyang Chen Jill Livingston Linda S.Pescatello 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,2:11
2Sialic acid-engineered mesoporous polydopamine nanoparticles loaded with SPIO and Fe3+as a novel theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual-mode MRI-guided combined chemo-photothermal treatment of hepatic cancer显示文摘diagnostic and therapeutic capability are highly needed for the treatment of hepatic cancer.Herein,we aimed to develop a novel mesoporous polydopamine(MPDA)-based theranostic agent for T1/T2 dual magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)-guided cancer chemo-photothermal therapy.Superparamagnetic iron oxide(SPIO)-loaded MPDA NPs(MPDA@SPIO)was firstly prepared,followed by modifying with a targeted molecule of sialic acid(SA)and chelating with Fe^(3+)(SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs).After that,doxorubicin(DOX)-loaded SA-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs(SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+))was prepared for tumor theranostics.The prepared SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs were water-dispersible and biocompatible as evidenced by MTT assay.In vitro photothermal and relaxivity property suggested that the novel theranostic agent possessed excellent photothermal conversion capability and photostability,with relaxivity of being r1=4.29 mM��1s��1 and r2=105.53 mM��1s��1,respectively.SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively encapsulate the DOX,showing dual pH-and thermal-triggered drug release behavior.In vitro and in vivo studies revealed that SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs could effectively target to the hepatic tumor tissue,which was possibly due to the specific interaction between SA and the overexpressed E-selectin.This behavior also endowed SA-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+)NPs with a more precise T1-T2 dual mode contrast imaging effect than the one without SA modification.In addition,SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs displayed a superior therapeutic effect,which was due to its active targeting ability and combined effects of chemotherapy and photothermal therapy.These results demonstrated that SAPEG-MPDA@SPIO/DOX/Fe^(3+) NPs is an effective targeted nanoplatform for tumor theranostics,having potential value in the effective treatment of hepatic cancer.Gaofeng Shu Minjiang Chen Jingjing Song Xiaoling Xu Chenying Lu Yuyin Du Min Xu Zhongwei Zhao Minxia Zhu Kai Fan Xiaoxi Fan Shiji Fang Bufu Tang Yiyang Dai Yongzhong Du Jiansong Ji 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:4
3Dynamic edge-based biomarker non-invasively predicts hepatocellular carcinoma with hepatitis B virus infection for individual patients based on blood testing显示文摘Hepatitis B virus (HBV)-induced hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major cause of cancer-related deaths in Asia and Africa. Developing effective and non-invasive biomarkers of HCC for individual patients remains an urgent task for early diagnosis and convenient monitoring. Analyzing the transcriptomic profiles of peripheral blood mononuclear cells from both healthy donors and patients with chronic HBV infection in different states (i.e. HBV carrier, chronic hepatitis B, cirrhosis, and HCC), we identified a set of 19 candidate genes according to our algorithm of dynamic network biomarkers. These genes can both characterize different stages during HCC progression and identify cirrhosis as the critical transition stage before carcinogenesis. The interaction effects (i.e. coexpressions) of candidate genes were used to build an accurate prediction model: the so-called edge-based biomarker. Considering the convenience and robustness of biomarkers in clinical applications, we performed functional analysis, validated candidate genes in other independent samples of our collected cohort, and finally selected COL5A1, HLA-DQB1, MMP2, and CDK4 to build edge panel as prediction models. We demonstrated that the edge panel had great performance in both diagnosis and prognosis in terms of precision and specificity for HCC, especially for patients with alpha-fetoprotein-negative HCC. 4An adaptive integration surface for predicting transonic rotor noise in hovering and forward flights显示文摘In this paper, a new permeable adaptive integration surface is developed in order to evaluate transonic rotor noise in accordance with FW-H_pds equations(Ffowcs Williams-Hawkings equations with penetrable data surface). Firstly, a nonlinear near-field solution is computed on the basis of Navier-Stokes equations, which is developed on moving-embedded grid methodology.The solution calculated through the present CFD method is used as the input for acoustic calculations by FW-H_pds equations. Then, two criteria for constructing integration surfaces are established based on the analysis of the quadrupole source strength and the nonlinear characteristic.A new surface is determined adaptively by the pressure gradient or density in a given flowfield,eschewing the uncertainties associated with determining cylinder-shaped integration surfaces. For varying hover cases, transonic noises are simulated with new integration surfaces for a UH-1 model rotor. Furthermore, numerical results of the new integration surface derived from the density perturbation value conform better to experimental data than results derived from the pressure gradient.Finally, the integration surface given by jrqj being 0.1, which is an applicable criterion obtained from hover cases, is used to predict transonic rotor noise in forward flight. 5Investigation of spherical and concentric mechanism of compound droplets显示文摘Polymer shells with high sphericity and uniform wall thickness are always needed in the inertial confined fusion(ICF)experiments.Driven by the need to control the shape of water-in-oil(W1/O)compound droplets,the effects of the density matching level,the interfacial tension and the rotation speed of the continuing fluid field on the sphericity and wall thickness uniformity of the resulting polymer shells were investigated and the spherical and concentric mechanisms were also discussed.The centering of W1/O compound droplets,the location and movement of W1/O compound droplets in the external phase(W2)were significantly affected by the density matching level of the key stage and the rotation speed of the continuing fluid field.Therefore,by optimizing the density matching level and rotation speed,the batch yield of polystyrene(PS)shells with high sphericity and uniform wall thickness increased.Moreover,the sphericity also increased by raising the oil/water(O/W2)interfacial tension,which drove a droplet to be spherical.The experimental results show that the spherical driving force is from the interfacial tension affected by the two relative phases,while the concentric driving force,as a resultant force,is not only affected by the three phases,but also by the continuing fluid field.The understanding of spherical and concentric mechanism can provide some guidance for preparing polymer shells with high sphericity and uniform wall thickness.Meifang Liu Lin Su Jie Li Sufen Chen Yiyang Liu Jing Li Bo Li Yongping Chen Zhanwen Zhang 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,4:2

11Progress and challenges in the fabrication of DPS shells for ICF显示文摘To improve the quality of deuterated polystyrene(DPS)shells,the synthesis and purification of DPS as well as the fabrication of DPS shells are investigated.The molecular weight and molecular weight distribution,measured by GPC-MALLS,are about 350 kg mol^(-1) and less than 2.0,respectively.The results of TG and GC-MS indicate that the residual solvent is almost completely removed.DPS shells with;300 mm–2500 mmdiameter and;10 mm–100mmwall thickness are successfully prepared by a microfluidic device.The monodispersity of the diameter ismuchbetter than that of the wall thickness in a batch ofDPSshells.The vacuoles can be suppressed by both reducing hydrophilic residues in DPS and adding some salts into the outer water phase(W2).The defects appearing during the drying process decrease by heat treatment,ethanol exchange,and lowered drying temperature.The results presented in this work not only provide guidelines for the preparation of DPS shells of better quality,but also indicate challenges for the future.Meifang Liu Yawen Huang Sufen Chen Dawei Pan Miao Chen Qiaomei Chu Yiyang Liu Qiang Yin Zhanwen Zhang 2019Matter and Radiation at Extremes2019,4,1:1
12Mechanosensitive Ion Channel TMEM63A Gangs Up with Local Macrophages to Modulate Chronic Post-amputation Pain显示文摘Post-amputation pain causes great sufering to amputees,but still no efective drugs are available due to its elusive mechanisms.Our previous clinical studies found that surgical removal or radiofrequency treatment of the neuroma at the axotomized nerve stump efectively relieves the phantom pain aficting patients after amputation.This indicated an essential role of the residual nerve stump in the formation of chronic post-amputation pain(CPAP).However,the molecular mechanism by which the residual nerve stump or neuroma is involved and regulates CPAP is still a mystery.In this study,we found that nociceptors expressed the mechanosensitive ion channel TMEM63A and macrophages infltrated into the dorsal root ganglion(DRG)neurons worked synergistically to promote CPAP.Histology and qRT-PCR showed that TMEM63A was mainly expressed in mechanical pain-producing non-peptidergic nociceptors in the DRG,and the expression of TMEM63A increased signifcantly both in the neuroma from amputated patients and the DRG in a mouse model of tibial nerve transfer(TNT).Behavioral tests showed that the mechanical,heat,and cold sensitivity were not afected in the Tmem63a-/-mice in the naïve state,suggesting the basal pain was not afected.In the infammatory and post-amputation state,the mechanical allodynia but not the heat hyperalgesia or cold allodynia was signifcantly decreased in Tmem63a-/-mice.Further study showed that there was severe neuronal injury and macrophage infltration in the DRG,tibial nerve,residual stump,and the neuromalike structure of the TNT mouse model,Consistent with this,expression of the pro-infammatory cytokines TNFα,IL-6,and IL-1βall increased dramatically in the DRG.Interestingly,the deletion of Tmem63a signifcantly reduced the macrophage infltration in the DRG but not in the tibial nerve stump.Furthermore,the ablation of macrophages signifcantly reduced both the expression of Tmem63a and the mechanical allodynia in the TNT mouse model,indicating an interaction between nociceptors and macrophages,and that these two factors gang up together to regulate the formation of CPAP.This provides a new insight into the mechanisms underlying CPAP and potential drug targets its treatment.Shaofeng Pu Yiyang Wu Fang Tong Wan-Jie Du Shuai Liu Huan Yang Chen Zhang Bin Zhou Ziyue Chen Xiaomeng Zhou Qingjian Han Dongping Du 2023Neuroscience Bulletin2023,39,2:1

16Toward transparent projection display:recent progress in frequency‐selective scattering of RGB light based on metallic nanoparticle’s localized surface plasmon resonance显示文摘A transparent display simultaneously enables visualization of the images displayed on it as well as the view behind it,and therefore can be applied to,for instance,augmented reality(AR),virtual reality(VR),and head up display(HUD).Many solutions have been proposed for this purpose.Recently,the idea of frequency-selective scattering of red,green and blue light while transmitting visible light of other colours to achieve transparent projection display has been proposed,by taking advantage of metallic nanoparticle’s localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR).In this article,a review of the recent progress of frequency-selective scattering of red,green and blue light that are based on metallic nanoparticle’s LSPR is presented.A discussion of method for choosing appropriate metal(s)is first given,followed by the definition of a figure of merit used to quantify the performance of a designed nanoparticle structure.Selective scattering of various nanostructures,including sphere-shaped nanoparticles,ellipsoidal nanoparticles,super-sphere core-shell nanoparticles,metallic nanocubes,and metallic nanoparticles combined with gain materials,are discussed in detail.Each nanostructure has its own advantages and disadvantages,but the combination of the metallic nanoparticle with gain materials is a more promising way since it has the potential to generate ultra-sharp scattering peaks(i.e.,high frequency-selectivity).Yiyang Ye Zhen Liu Tupei Chen 2019Opto-Electronic Advances2019,2,12:0
17Rapid Quantitative Determination of Isoprene Monomer in Living Taraxacum kok-saghyz by Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography Tandem Mass Spectrometry显示文摘Taraxacum kok-saghyz(TKS)is rich in natural rubber(NR),a natural organic macromolecular compound composed of cis-1,4-polyisoprene,and may become the second NR-bearing plant for biochemical engineering development.In this paper,a rapid and quantitative ultra-high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLCMS/MS)method was established for determination of macromolecular biosynthesis substrate(dimethylallyl pyrophosphate,DMAPP)and initiator(farnesyl pyrophosphate,FPP)contained in TKS.A Kromasil C18 chromatographic column was used for separation,and the multi-reaction monitoring mode(MRM)of triple quadrupole mass spectrometry was used for detection.Quantification was performed by external calibration method.The results showed that the limit of detection(LOD)and the limit of quantitation(LOQ)of DMAPP were 2.42μg/L and 7.26μg/L,respectively,and the LOQ and the LOD of FPP were 1.02μg/L and 3.05μg/L,respectively.At a concentration of 1—1000μg/L,both analytes had good determination coefficients(>0.999)of calibration curve.The recoveries of DMAPP and FPP were between 99.0%and 117.1%.In real samples detection,the contents of DMAPP and FPP in TKS samples were between 23.32—82.77μg/L and 12.03—85.67μg/L,respectively.Thus,this approach is a reliable method to quantify DMAPP and FPP in TKS.Xiang Tong Guo Tianyang Zhang Xi Chen Yunhan Dong Yiyang Zhang Jichuan Ma Qiang Zhang Liqun 2020China Petroleum Processing & Petrochemical Technology2020,22,2:0

19Rice sl-MH-1 mutant induces cell death and confers blast resistance via the synergistic roles of signaling systems显示文摘Serotonin is ubiquitous across all forms of life and functions in responses to biotic and abiotic stresses.In rice,the conversion of tryptamine to serotonin is catalyzed by Sekiguchi lesion(SL).Previous studies have identified an sl mutation(a null mutation of SL)in several rice varieties and confirmed its increase of resistance and cell death.However,a systematic understanding of the reprogrammed cellular processes causing cell death and resistance is lacking.We performed a multi-omics analysis to clarify the fundamental mechanisms at the protein,gene transcript,and metabolite levels.We found that cell death and Magnaporthe oryzae(M.oryzae)infection of the sl-MH-1 mutant activated plant hormone signal transduction involving salicylic acid(SA),jasmonic acid(JA),and abscisic acid(ABA)in multiple regulatory layers.We characterized the dynamic changes of several key hormone levels during disease progression and under the cell death conditions and showed that SA and JA positively regulated rice cell death and disease resistance.SL-overexpressing lines confirmed that the sl-MH-1 mutant positively regulated rice resistance to M.oryzae.Our studies shed light on cell death and facilitate further mechanistic dissection of programmed cell death in rice.Dagang Tian Yan Lin Shengping Li Yiyang Cao Gang Li Xinrui Guo Ziqiang Chen Zaijie Chen Feng Wang Zonghua Wang 2022The Crop Journal2022,10,6:0
