Antibacterial and angiogenic chitosan microneedle array patch for promoting wound healing显示文摘A patch with the capability of avoiding wound infection and promoting tissue remolding is of great value for wound healing. In this paper,we develop a biomass chitosan microneedle array(CSMNA)patch integrated with smart responsive drug delivery for promoting wound healing.Chitosan possesses many outstanding features such as the natural antibacterial property and has been widely utilized for wound healing.Besides, the microstructure of microneedles enables the effective delivery of loaded drugs into the target area and avoids the excessive adhesion between the skin and the patch. Also, vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)is encapsulated in the micropores of CSMNA by temperature sensitive hydrogel. Therefore, the smart release of the drugs can be controllably realized via the temperature rising induced by the inflammation response at the site of wounds. It is demonstrated that the biomass CSMNA patch can promote inflammatory inhibition, collagen deposition, angiogenesis, and tissue regeneration during the wound closure. Thus, this versatile CSMNA patch is potentially valuable for wound healing in clinical applications. | Junjie Chi Xiaoxuan Zhang Canwen Chen Changmin Shao Yuanjin Zhao Yongan Wang | 2020 | Bioactive Materials2020,5,2: | 25
Effect of one-step aging on microstructure and properties of a novel Al-Zn-Mg-Cu-Zr alloy显示文摘The effect of one-step aging temper on the mechanical properties, electrical conductivity and the microstructure of a novel Al-7.5Zn-1.6Mg-1.4Cu-0.12Zr alloy has been investigated. The results indicated that with elevating the aging temperature from 100℃ to 160℃, the aging response rate was greatly accelerated, and the UTS at peak aging condition decreased, while the corresponding TYS increased. However, the electrical conductivity of the alloy became higher. After aging for 24 h at 120℃, the peak UTS and TYS values were achieved as 591 MPa and 541 MPa, respectively; but the alloy achieved a lower conductivity, 20.4 MS/m. When T6 temper was performed at 140℃ for 14 h, the UTS decreased only by 1% of the former, whereas the TYS and the electrical conductivity increased obviously, which were up to 559 MPa and 22.6 MS/m, respectively. The major strengthening precipitates of the peak-aged alloy were GP zones and η′ phase. The precipitates in both the matrix and the grain boundary became coarser with rising aging temperature. There were obvious PFZs along the grain boundary both in T6 conditions aged at 140℃ and 160℃. | LI XiWu XIONG BaiQing ZHANG YongAn HUA Cheng WANG Feng ZHU BaoHong LIU HongWei | 2009 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,1: | 13
Effect of Zn addition on microstructure and mechanical properties of an Al–Mg–Si alloy显示文摘In the present work, an Al–0.66Mg–0.85Si–0.2Cu alloy with Zn addition was investigated by electron back scattering diffraction(EBSD), high resolution electron microscopy(HREM), tensile and Erichsen tests. The mechanical properties of the alloy after pre-aging met the standards of sheet forming. After paint baking, the yield strength of the alloy was improved apparently. GP(Ⅱ) zones and η'phases were formed during aging process due to Zn addition. With the precipitation of GP zones, β″ phases, GP(Ⅱ) zones and η'phases, the alloys displayed excellent mechanical properties. | Lizhen Yan Yongan Zhang Xiwu Li Zhihui Li Feng Wang Hongwei Liu Baiqing Xiong | 2014 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2014,24,2: | 13
Ageing behavior of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy pre-stretched thick plate显示文摘The ageing behavior of a pre-stretched thick plate of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy was systemically studied including one-step ageing, two-step ageing, and retrogression and reageing treatment (RRA). One-step ageing of the alloy resulted in peak ultimate tensile strengths of 595 and 575 MPa after 22 and 6 h at 120 and 135°C, respectively. The strengthening phase in peak aged (T6 temper) alloy contained GP zones and the η′ phase predominantly. After two-step ageing, the electrical conductivity was increased markedly, but the pre-stretched thick plate sacrificed a great loss of strength. RRA treatment provided a method for maintaining the strength close to that obtained by T6 temper and for obtaining the high electrical conductivity close to that obtained by T7 temper; the ultimate tensile strength and electrical conductivity were 583 MPa and 21.0 MS/m, respectively. TEM analysis of T7 and RRA specimens revealed two types of precipitates that contributed to age strengthening i.e. the η′ and η phases. | Zhihui Li Baiqing Xiong Yongan Zhang Baohong Zhu Feng Wang Hongwei Liu | 2007 | Journal of University of Science and Technology Beijing2007,14,3: | 12
Low-cost,μm-thick,tape-free electronic tattoo sensors with minimized motion and sweat artifacts显示文摘Electronic tattoos(e-tattoos),also known as epidermal electronics, are ultra-thin and ultra-soft noninvasive but skin-conformable devices with capabilities including physiological sensing and transdermal stimulation and therapeutics. The fabrication of e-tattoos out of conventional inorganic electronic materials used to be tedious and expensive.Recently developed cut-and-paste method has significantly simplified the process and lowered the cost. However, existing cut-and-paste method entails a medical tape on which the electronic tattoo sensors should be pasted, which increases tattoo thickness and degrades its breathability. To address this problem, here we report a slightly modified cut-and-paste method to fabricate low-cost,open-mesh e-tattoos with a total thickness of just 1.5μm.E-tattoos of such thinness can be directly pasted on human skin and conforms to natural skin texture. We demonstrate that this ultra-thin,tape-free e-tattoo can confidently measure electrocardiogram(ECG),skin temperature, and skin hydration.Heart rate and even respiratory rate can be extracted from the ECG signals.A special advantage of such ultra-thin e-tattoo is that it is capable of high-fidelity sensing with minimized motion artifacts under various body movements.Effects of perspiration are found to be insignificant due to the breathability of such e-tattoos. | Youhua Wang Yitao Qiu Shideh Kabiri Ameri Hongwoo Jang Zhaohe Dai YongAn Huang Nanshu Lu | 2018 | npj Flexible Electronics2018,2,1: | 9
Age-hardening characteristic of an Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloy produced by spray deposition显示文摘Al-10.8Zn-2.8Mg-1.9Cu alloy was synthesized by spray atomization and deposition technique. GP zones and age-hardening process in the alloy were investigated using high-resolution electron microscopy (HREM), selected area diffraction (SAD), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis. The results indicated that spray deposition process accelerated the aging kinetics of the alloy at an aging temperature of 120°C, thereby reducing the peak aging time to 16 h. GPI and GPII are the two types of zones that are major precipitates for the alloy under peak-aged condition. The precipitation sequence for the alloy is also discussed. | WANG Feng XIONG Baiqing ZHANG Yongan ZHU Baohong LIU Hongwei ZHANG Zhihui WANG Zixing | 2007 | Rare Metals2007,26,2: | 7
In vivo evaluation of urokinase-loaded hollow nanogels for sonothrombolysis on suture embolization-induced acute ischemic stroke rat model显示文摘The urokinase-type plasminogen activator(uPA)loaded hollow nanogels(nUK)were synthesized by a one-step reaction of glycol chitosan and aldehyde capped poly(ethylene oxide). The resultant formulation is sensitive to diagnostic ultrasound(US)of 2 MHz.Herein,we evaluated the in vivo sonothrombolysis performance of the nUK on acute ischemic stroke rat model which was established by suture embolization of middle cerebral artery(MCA).Via intravenous(i.v.)administration,the experimental data prove a controlled release of the therapeutic protein around the clots under ultrasound stimulation, leading to enhanced thrombolysis efficiency of the nUK,evidenced from smaller infarct volume and better clinical scores when compared to the i.v.dose of free uPA no matter with or without US intervention.Meanwhile, the preservation ability of the nanogels not only prolonged the circulation duration of the protein, but also resulted in the better blood-brain barrier protection of the nUK formulation, showing no increased risk on the hemorrhagic transformation than the controls. This work suggests that the nUK is a safe sonothrombolytic formulation for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. | Yuming Teng Haiqiang Jin Ding Nan Mengnan Li Chenghe Fan Yuanyuan Liu Pu Lv Wei Cui Yongan Sun Hongjun Hao Xiaozhong Qu Zhenzhong Yang Yining Huang | 2018 | Bioactive Materials2018,3,1: | 7
Aging behavior and fatigue crack propagation of high Zn-containing Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with zinc variation显示文摘In the present work, the influence of two-step aging treatments on hardness, electrical conductivity and mechanical properties of two high Zn-containing Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys with zinc content variation was investigated and the detailed T76 aging parameters were proposed. The microstructure of the precipitates were studied by transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HREM) and then quantitatively investigated with the aid of an image analysis. The fatigue performances were researched by the fatigue crack propagation(FCP) rate test and fracture morphology was observed with scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results show that the matrix precipitate size distributions of both alloys had significant difference, so as to fatigue crack propagation rates and fracture appearance. The shear and bypass mechanisms of dislocation-precipitate interactions were employed to explain the difference. Among the shearable precipitates, the proportion of larger size precipitates for the higher zinc content alloy is bigger than that for the lower zinc content alloy. The coarse shearable precipitates hinder the propagation of the fatigue cracks, leading to inferior FCP rate. For both alloys, the shear mechanism possesses the dominant factor, finally causing a preponderance in the FCP resistance for the higher zinc content alloy than the lower one. | Kai Wen Yunqiang Fan Guojun Wang Longbing Jin Xiwu Li Zhihui Li Yongan Zhang Baiqing Xiong | 2017 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2017,27,2: | 7
Driving force planning in shield tunneling based on Markov decision processes显示文摘In shield tunneling, the control system needs very reliable capability of deviation rectifying in order to ensure that the tunnel trajectory meets the permissible criterion. To this goal, we present an approach that adopts Markov decision process (MDP) theory to plan the driving force with explicit representation of the uncertainty during excavation. The shield attitudes of possi- ble world and driving forces during excavation are scattered as a state set and an action set, respectively. In particular, an evaluation function is proposed with consideration of the stability of driving force and the deviation of shield attitude. Unlike the deterministic approach, the driving forces based on MDP model lead to an uncertain effect and the attitude is known only with an imprecise probability. We consider the case that the transition probability varies in a given domain estimated by field data, and discuss the optimal policy based on the interval arithmetic. The validity of the approach is discussed by comparing the driving force planning with the actual operating data from the field records of Line 9 in Tianjin. It is proved that the MDP model is reasonable enough to predict the driving force for automatic deviation rectifying. | HU XiangTao HUANG YongAn YIN ZhouPing XIONG YouLun | 2012 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2012,55,4: | 6
Microbial and molecular fossils from the Permian Zoophycos in South China显示文摘The trace fossil Zoophycos was enriched in the lower part of the Guadalupian Maokou Formation of Permian in Laibin, Guangxi of South China, and characterized by observable lamellae within its spreiten. Associated with these lamellae are the prolific coccus- and spirillum-shaped microbe fossils. These microbes morphologically identified are 0.4―3.0 μm in diameter or length. Molecular fossils, including normal alkanes (dominated by C18, without an odd-over-even predominance), acyclic isoprenoids (such as pristane (Pr) and phytane (Ph)), extended tricyclic terpanes, pentacyclic triterpanes, steranes, al-kylcyclohexanes, dibenzothiophenes, benzonaphthothiophenes, benzobisbenzothiophenes, were in-strumentally identified in the wackestone characterized by the occurrence of abundant Zoophycos (composite ichnofabric indices are 4) and crowded microbial fossils. The value of the Pr/Ph ratio is less than 1, indicative of a dysoxic condition. The identification of abundant sulfur compounds (the thio-phene series) related to the contribution of reductive sulfur favors the occurrence of sulphate-reducing bacteria. The association of abundant microbial colonies with microbial molecular fossils within the spreiten suggests that trace fossils Zoophycos would be a multifunctional garden carefully constructed by the Zoophycos-producer, where different microbial colonies were orderly and carefully planted and cultured in different minor lamellae within spreiten. Hence, it is proposed that the Zoophycos-producer symbiosed with microbial colonies on the mutual basis of food supply and the redox conditions. | GONG YiMing XU Ran XIE ShuCheng HUANG XianYu HU Bin QI YongAn ZHANG GuoCheng | 2007 | Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,8: | 6
Flexible smart sensing skin for“Fly-by-Feel”morphing aircraft显示文摘Flexible smart sensing skin is a key enabling technology for the future'Fly-by-Feel'control of morphing aircraft. It represents the next-generation skin of aircraft that can exhibit a more powerful sensing function than a conventional one and could be mounted on arbitrary curvilinear surfaces, especially for advanced autonomic, morphing aircraft.Recent significant technical advances in flexible electronics have overcome many historic drawbacks of conventional smart skin,e.g.,only a limited number of discrete block sensors can be integrated due to the inevitable structural damage and heavy guidelines.Herein,we review the key developments in flexible sensors technology and highlight both the state-of-the-art devices and the potential applications for the measurement of aircraft. We begin with the importance of flexible smart skin for morphing aircraft and then expand to the latest progress in various types of flexible sensors. Then we highlight flexible sensors as smart skin to measure aerodynamic parameters and monitor the structural health, and further to achieve the Fly-by-Feel control. Finally, the challenges and opportunities on flexible smart sensing skin are discussed, from the functional design to practical applications. | HUANG YongAn ZHU Chen XIONG WenNan WANG Yu JIANG YongGang QIU Lei GUO DongLiang HOU Chao JIANG Shan YANG ZhaoXi WANG Bo WANG Lu YIN ZhouPing | 2022 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2022,65,1: | 6
Smart Service System(SSS):A Novel Architecture Enabling Coordination of Heterogeneous Networking Technologies and Devices for Internet of Things显示文摘In Internet of Things(IoT), the devices or terminals are connected with each other, which can be very diverse over the wireless networks. Unfortunately, the current devices are not designed to communicate with the collocated devices which employ different communication technologies. Consequently, the communication between these devices will be realized only by using the gateway nodes. This will cause the inefficient use of wireless resources. Therefore, in this paper, a smart service system(SSS) architecture is proposed, which consists of smart service terminal(SST), and smart service network(SSN), to realize the Io T in a general environment with diverse communication networks, devices, and services. The proposed architecture has the following advantages: i) the devices in this architecture cover multiple types of terminals and sensor-actuator devices; ii) the communications network therein is a converged network, and will coordinate multiple kinds of existing and emerging networks. This converged network offers ubiquitous access for various sensors and terminals; iii) the architecture has services and applications covering all smart service areas. It also provides theadaptability to new services and applications. A SSS architecture-based smart campus system was developed and deployed. Evaluation experiments of the proposed smart campus system demonstrate the SSS's advantages over the existing counterparts, and verify the effectiveness of the proposed architecture. | yongan guo hongbo zhu longxiang yang | 2017 | China Communications2017,14,3: | 6
Ichnofabrics and Their Environmental Interpretation from the Fluvial Deposits of the Middle Triassic Youfangzhuang Formation in Western Henan, Central China显示文摘Fluvial deposits from the Middle Triassic Youfangzhuang Formation in Henan Province, China contain a low-diversity trace fossils. Vertical dwelling burrows of opportunists dominate in active channel, whereas horizontal deposit-feeding, grazing, and vertical dwelling burrows occur in overbank deposits. Seven recurrent ichnofabrics were distingushed. The Palaeophycus tubularis ichnofabric preserves below scour interface between two fluvial cycles. The Skolithos linearis ichnofabric forms in middle to high-energy, soft substrates in the middle and upper parts of active channel deposits under semi-arid climate. The Skolithos linearis-Planolites montanus ichnofabric occurs in the sediments just a little above the Skolithos linearis ichnofabric and is formed in middle-energy, soft substrates in the upper part of active channel deposits. The Planolites montanus ichnofabric is mostly preserved in association with medium- to thick-bedded brown-red silty mudstones or siltstones in low-energy, perennial muddy bottom ponds in overbank settings. The Taenidium barretti ichnofabric is interpreted as periodically exposed ephemeral ponds or low-energy distal floodplain. The Skolithos isp. ichnofabric commonly occurs in middle to high-energy firm ground of proximal foodplain or crevasse-splay deposits. The root trace ichnofabric occurs in the crevasse splay deposits. The presence of thin palaeosols and the abundance of calcretization in mudstones indicate a seasonal climate ranging from humid to semi-arid, with high temperature, rainfall, and well-defined dry and wet seasons. | Min Wang Yongan Qi Da Li Mingyue Dai Yuguang Chang | 2014 | Journal of Earth Science2014,25,4: | 5
Conformable, programmable and step-linear sensor array for large-range wind pressure measurement on curved surface显示文摘The wind pressure measurement, especially on curved surfaces is imperative in revealing flow characteristics. The flexible sensor with high linear sensitivity over large pressure range is still a significant challenge, especially for commutatively positive and negative pressure measurement. Here,we propose a conformable,range-programmable capacitive sensor that can extremely extend the measuring range but with high linear sensitivity. The key point is to precisely control the reference pressure of the flexible capacitive sensor array through microchannel network. The proposed sensor with reference pressure 0 kPa keeps stable at a highly-linear sensitivity of 0.28 kPa-1 in an initial measurement regime from 0 to 3 kPa,beyond which the linearity changes significantly.Via the tunable reference pressure, the linear ranges can be customized arbitrarily according to different flight conditions and measured positions, but without any deterioration of sensitivity. The theoretical model is built for the flexible capacitive sensor with tunable reference pressure, agreeing well with the experimental and finite element method results.Additionally, the bending effect is discovered when the flexible sensor is conformed on curved surfaces. This surface-mounted sensor skin is tested on a plate and is integrated with acquisition circuits on a standard airfoil NACA0012 in a wind tunnel and compares with the standard destructive method of pressure taps.It shows great potential applications in measuring wind pressure on curved surfaces, such as for'Fly-by-Feel'of unmanned aerial vehicles and wind tunnel test. | XIONG WenNan GUO DongLiang YANG ZhaoXi ZHU Chen HUANG YongAn | 2020 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2020,63,10: | 5
Theoretical and experimental study of 2D conformability of stretchable electronics laminated onto skin显示文摘Smoothly attaching the stretchable epidermal electronic devices(EEDs) onto the skin surface is highly desired to improve the measurement accuracy of electrophysiological signal. The paper presents an analytical approach to study interfacial mechanics of the 2D planar EEDs on the checkerboard buckling patterns of human skin.Energy variation method is proposed to determine a criterion whether EEDs laminate conformally onto the skin surface under undeformed and stretched cases.EEDs with low bending stiffness(thin, soft devices/backing layer),smooth and soft skin, and strong adhesion promote conformal contact.Furthermore, the adhesion energy at the EED/skin interface is measured by the homemade peeling experiment platform with different substrate thicknesses and areal coverages. The upper limit of the areal coverage for EED conformal contact with the skin is proposed with given EED/skin properties.Conformability of EEDs are validated by experiments with different substrate thickness, areal coverage and external loadings. It provides a design guideline for EED to conformally contact with the skin surface for more accurate biological signal monitoring. | DONG WenTao XIAO Lin ZHU Chen YE Dong WANG ShuoDao HUANG YongAn YIN ZhouPing | 2017 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2017,60,9: | 4
The relationship between dietary methionine and growth, digestion, absorption, and antioxidant status in intestinal and hepatopancreatic tissues of sub-adult grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella)显示文摘Background: Methionine is an essential amino acid for fish. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of dietary methionine on growth performance, digestive and absorptive ability, as well as antioxidant capacity in the intestine and hepatopancreas of sub-adult grass carp(Ctenopharyngodon idella). Results: Dietary methionine deficiency significantly decreased percentage weight gain(PWG), feed intake, feed efficiency and protein efficiency ratio, as well as activities of hepatopancreatic glutamate-oxaloacetate transaminase and muscle glutamate-pyruvate transaminase in sub-adult grass carp(P < 0.05). Furthermore, methionine deficiency significantly reduced activities of trypsin, lipase and amylase in the intestine, Na^+/K^+-ATPase, alkaline phosphatase and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase in three intestinal segments, and creatine kinase(CK) in the proximal intestine(P < 0.05). However, an unexplained and significant increase in CK activity in the mid intestine was associated with dietary methionine deficiency. Malondialdehyde and protein carbonyl contents in the intestine and hepatopancreas were significantly increased by methionine deficiency(P < 0.05), whereas anti-hydroxyl radical capacity in the hepatopancreas and intestine, and anti-superoxide anion capacity in the intestine, were significantly decreased by methionine deficiency(P < 0.05). Moreover, methionine deficiency significantly decreased superoxide dismutase and glutathione reductase activities, glutathione contents in the hepatopancreas and intestine, as well as glutathione peroxidase activity in the intestine(P < 0.05), whereas it significantly increased activities of catalase in the hepatopancreas and glutathione-S-transferase in the hepatopancreas and intestine(P < 0.05).(Continued on next page)(Continued from previous page)Conclusions: The present results demonstrated that dietary methionine deficiency induced poor growth, and decreased digestive and absorptive function and antioxidant capacity in the hepatopancreas and intestine of sub-adult grass carp. Methionine requirements for sub-adult grass carp(450-1, 170 g) based on PWG, intestinal trypsin, and hepatopancreatic anti-hydroxyl radical activities were estimated to be 6.12 g/kg diet(21.80 g/kg protein),6.99 g/kg diet(24.90 g/kg protein) and 5.42 g/kg diet(19.31 g/kg protein), respectively, in the presence of 1.50 g cysteine/kg(5.35 g/kg protein). | Pei Wu Ling Tang Weidan Jiang Kai Hu Yang Liu Jun Jiang Shengyao Kuang ling tang Wuneng Tang Yongan Zhang Xiaoqiu Zhou Lin Feng | 2017 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2017,8,4: | 4
