1Study on the most early glass eye-beads in China unearthed from Xu Jialing Tomb in Xichuan of Henan Province,China显示文摘The eye-beads dating to the early Warring States Period unearthed from Xu Jialing Tomb in Xichuan County of Henan Province, China are studied. The structure and the chemical composition of the sam- ples are analysed by the undestructive methods of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the Proton Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) technique. The results show that these eye-beads are of glass state. Its chemical composition indicates that they belong to the glass of soda lime silicate system (Na2O-CaO-SiO2). 6Dipeptides VL increase protein accumulation in C2C12 cells by activating the Akt-mTOR pathway and inhibiting the NF-κB pathway显示文摘The Akt-mTOR signaling pathway plays a central role in regulating intracellular protein metabolism,and the NF-κB signaling pathway plays a vital role in developing skeletal muscle atrophy.In this study,we took the three dipeptides Val-Leu(VL),Leu-Leu(LL),and Leu-Gln(LQ)identified from corn peptides as the research objects and proved that peptides could promote C2C12 cell differentiation and protein synthesis by activating the Akt-mTOR signaling pathway.On the other hand,the dipeptides also inhibited the classical pathway of the NF-κB signaling pathway,down-regulated the expression of two E3 ubiquitin ligases MAFbx and MURF-1,attenuated apoptosis induced by TNF-α,and thus inhibited protein degradation in cells.In conclusion,the dipeptides isolated from corn peptides showed the effect of increasing protein accumulation in skeletal muscle,suggesting the application potential of corn peptides in promoting the growth of skeletal muscle mass.In addition,this experiment compared the different characteristics of the effects of the dipeptide VL and its corresponding amino acid mixture on the Akt-mTOR signaling pathway.Mingliang Li Ying Wei Zhiyuan Feng Muyi Cai Yaguang Xu Ruizeng Gu Yongqing Ma Xingchang Pan 2022Food Bioscience2022,45,1:0

10Ubiquitination and degradation of SIK2 by DNA-PKcs deficiency promote radiation-induced mitotic catastrophe显示文摘Salt-inducible kinase 2 (SIK2) is a member of the AMP-activated serine/threonine kinase family. It has been reported that inhibition of SIK2 can enhance the cytotoxicity of paclitaxel,1 promote premitotic apoptosis, and lead to cell cycle arrest in the metaphase.2 Thus, targeting SIK2 may be a therapeutic strategy for cancers drug and radiotherapy resistance. Mitotic catastrophe is a type of abnormal mitosis leading to cell death characterized by the multipolar spindle and multinucleation, which was first discovered during an ionizing radiation (IR)-induced cell damage.3 However, the mechanism of mitotic catastrophe is not well understood. 11Flexible thin-film acoustic wave devices with off-axis bending characteristics for multisensing applications显示文摘Flexible surface acoustic wave(SAW)devices have recently attracted tremendous attention for their widespread application in sensing and microfluidics.However,for these applications,SAW devices often need to be bent into offaxis deformations between the acoustic wave propagation direction and bending direction.Currently,there are few studies on this topic,and the bending mechanisms during off-axis bending deformations have remained unexplored for multisensing applications.Herein,we fabricated aluminum nitride(AlN)flexible SAW devices by using high-quality AlN films deposited on flexible glass substrates and systematically investigated their complex deformation behaviors.A theoretical model was first developed using coupling wave equations and the boundary condition method to analyze the characteristics of the device with bending and off-axis deformation under elastic strains.The relationships between the frequency shifts of the SAW device and the bending strain and off-axis angle were obtained,and the results were identical to those from the theoretical calculations.Finally,we performed proof-of-concept demonstrations of its multisensing potential by monitoring human wrist movements at various off-axis angles and detecting UV light intensities on a curved surface,thus paving the way for the application of versatile flexible electronics.Zhangbin Ji Jian Zhou Huamao Lin Jianhui Wu Dinghong Zhang Sean Garner Alex Gu Shurong Dong YongQing Fu Huigao Duan 2021Microsystems & Nanoengineering2021,7,6:0
12Strategy to minimize bending strain interference for flexible acoustic wave sensing platform显示文摘There are great concerns for sensing using flexible acoustic wave sensors and lab-on-a-chip,as mechanical strains will dramatically change the sensing signals(e.g.,frequency)when they are bent during measurements.These strain-induced signal changes cannot be easily separated from those of real sensing signals(e.g.,humidity,ultraviolet,or gas/biological molecules).Herein,we proposed a new strategy to minimize/eliminate the effects of mechanical bending strains by optimizing off-axis angles between the direction of bending deformation and propagation of acoustic waves on curved surfaces of layered piezoelectric film/flexible glass structure.This strategy has theoretically been proved by optimization of bending designs of off-axis angles and acoustically elastic effect.Proof-of-concept for humidity and ultraviolet-light sensing using flexible SAW devices with negligible interferences are achieved within a wide range of bending strains.This work provides the best solution for achieving high-performance flexible acoustic wave sensors under deformed/bending conditions.Jian Zhou Zhangbin Ji Yihao Guo Yanghui Liu Fengling Zhuo Yuanjin Zheng Yuandong(Alex)Gu YongQing Fu Huigao Duan 2022npj Flexible Electronics2022,6,1:0
13On the anomalous low-resistance state and exceptional Hall component in hard-magnetic Weyl nanoflakes显示文摘Magnetic topological materials, which combine magnetism and topology, are expected to host emerging topological states and exotic quantum phenomena. In this study, with the aid of greatly enhanced coercive fields in high-quality nanoflakes of the magnetic Weyl semimetal Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2), we investigate anomalous electronic transport properties that are difficult to reveal in bulk Co_(3)Sn_(2)S_(2) or other magnetic materials. When the magnetization is antiparallel to the applied magnetic field, the low longitudinal resistance state occurs, which is in sharp contrast to the high resistance state for the parallel case. Meanwhile, an exceptional Hall component that can be up to three times larger than conventional anomalous Hall resistivity is also observed for transverse transport.
