1De Novo Design of Polymeric Carrier to Photothermally Release Singlet Oxygen for Hypoxic Tumor Treatment显示文摘Intratumoral hypoxia extremely limits the clinic applications of photodynamic therapy(PDT).Endoperoxides allow thermally releasing singlet oxygen(1O_(2))in a defned quantity and ofer promising opportunities for oxygen-independent PDT treatment of hypoxic tumors.However,previous composite systems by combining endoperoxides with photothermal reagents may result in unpredicted side efects and potential harmful impacts during therapy in vivo.Herein,we de novo design an all-in-one polymer carrier,which can photothermally release 1O_(2).Te strategy has been demonstrated to efectively enhance the production of 1O_(2) and realize the photodamage in vitro,especially in hypoxic environment.Additionally,the polymer carrier accumulates into tumor afer intravenous injection via the enhanced permeation and retention efects and accelerates the oxygen-independent generation of 1O_(2) in tumors.Te oxidative damage results in good inhibitory efect on tumor growth.Realization of the strategy in vivo paves a new way to construct photothermal-triggered oxygen-independent therapeutic platform for clinical applications.Tianci Huang Menglong Zhao Qi Yu Zheng Feng Mingjuan Xie Shujuan Liu Kenneth Yin Zhang Qiang Zhao Wei Huang 2019Research2019,,1:6

3Recent progress in electrospun nanofibers and their applications in heavy metal wastewater treatment显示文摘Novel adsorbents with a simple preparation process and large capacity for removing highly toxic and nondegradable heavy metals from water have drawn the attention of researchers.Electrospun nanofiber membranes usually have the advantages of large specific surface areas and high porosity and allowing flexible control and easy functionalization.These membranes show remarkable application potential in the field of heavy metal wastewater treatment.In this paper,the electrospinning technologies,process types,and the structures and types of nanofibers that can be prepared are reviewed,and the relationships among process,structure and properties are discussed.On one hand,based on the different components of electrospun nanofibers,the use of organic,inorganic and organic−inorganic nanofiber membrane adsorbents in heavy metal wastewater treatment are introduced,and their advantages and future development are summarized and prospected.On the other hand,based on the microstructure and overall structure of the nanofiber membrane,the recent progresses of electrospun functional membranes for heavy metal removal are reviewed,and the advantages of different structures for applications are concluded.Overall,this study lays the foundation for future research aiming to provide more novel structured adsorbents.Xizi Xu He Lv Mingxin Zhang Menglong Wang Yangjian Zhou Yanan Liu Deng-Guang Yu 2023Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2023,17,3:1
4Efficient synthesis of cyclic carbonates under atmospheric CO_(2) by DMAP-based ionic liquids: the difference of inert hydrogen atom and active hydrogen atom in cation显示文摘The coupling reaction of carbon dioxide(CO_(2)) and epoxides is one of the most efficient pathways to achieve the carbon balance.However,to accomplish it under the mild conditions,especially under the atmospheric pressure,is still a perplexing problem.Three novel ionic liquids(ILs),[DMAPBrPC][TMGH],[DMAPBrPC][DBUH],and[DMAPBrPC][BTMA],are designed and synthesized.All of them display the excellent catalytic activity for the title reaction achieving the yield over 96.6% under the atmospheric CO_(2) pressure at 60℃.Interestingly,[DMAPBrPC][BTMA]with the inert hydrogen atom in cation exhibits the superior catalytic activity as compared to other two ILs with the protic hydrogen atom in cation along with the same anion.The active hydrogen atom in[DMAPBrPC][TMGH]and[DMAPBrPC][DBUH]would impede the–COO^(-)group to absorb CO 2,which is an unfavorable item for the reaction.Moreover,the strong hydrogen bond in[DMAPBrPC][TMGH]and[DMAPBrPC][DBUH]would lessen the nucleophilic ability of Br^(-) anion resulting in the inferior catalytic performance,which is further confirmed by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations.The cation without the active hydrogen atom could also be employed to design the ILs with the excellent catalytic feature when it is combined with the suitable anion.Zhengkun Zhang Jinya Li Guanyao Yu Chao Zeng Menglong Wang Susu Huang Li Wang Jinglai Zhang 2023Green Chemical Engineering2023,4,3:0
5Chemically bonded multi-nanolayer inorganic aerogel with a record-low thermal conductivity in a vacuum显示文摘Inorganic aerogels have exhibited many superior characteristics with extensive applications,but are still plagued by a nearly century-old tradeoff between their mechanical and thermal properties.When reducing thermal conductivity by ultralow density,inorganic aerogels generally suffer from large fragility due to their brittle nature or weak joint crosslinking,while enhancing the mechanical robustness by material design and structural engineering,they easily sacrifice thermal insulation and stability.Here,we report a chemically bonded multi-nanolayer design and synthesis of a graphene/amorphous boron nitride aerogel to address this typical tradeoff to further enhance mechanical and thermal properties.Attributed to the chemically bonded interface and coupled toughening effect,our aerogels display a low density of 0.8 mg cm-3 with ultrahigh flexibility(elastic compressive strain up to 99%and bending strain up to 90%),and exceptional thermostability(strength degradation<3%after sharp thermal shocks),as well as the lowest thermal conductivities in a vacuum(only 1.57 mW m-1 K-1 at room temperature and 10.39 mW m-1 K-1 at500℃)among solid materials to date.This unique combination of mechanical and thermal properties offers an attractive material system for thermal superinsulation at extreme conditions.Hongxuan Yu Menglin Li Yuanpeng Deng Shubin Fu Jingran Guo Han Zhao Jianing Zhang Shixuan Dang Pengyu Zhang Jian Zhou Dizhou Liu Duola Wang Chuanwei Zhang Menglong Hao Xiang Xu 2023National Science Review2023,10,10:0
