A survey of executive compensation contracts in China's listed companies显示文摘We analyze 228 executive compensation contracts voluntarily disclosed by Chinese listed firms and find that central-government-controlled companies disclose more information in executive compensation contracts than localgovernment-controlled and non-government-controlled companies. Cashbased payments are the main form of executive compensation, whereas equity-based payments are seldom used by Chinese listed companies. On average, there are no significant differences in the value of basic salaries and performance-based compensation in executive compensation contracts. But, compared with their counterparts in non-government-controlled companies, executives in government-controlled companies are given more incentive compensation. Accounting earnings are typically used in executive compensation contracts, with few firms using stock returns to evaluate their executives. However, the use of non-financial measures has increased significantly since 2007.Yubo Lia Fang Lou Jiwei Wang Hongqi Yuan 2013China Journal of Accounting Research2013,,3:15
Comparison of nonhuman primates identified the suitable model for COVID-19显示文摘Identification of a suitable nonhuman primate(NHP)model of COVID-19 remains challenging. Here,we characterized severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)infection in three NHP species:Old World monkeys Macaca mulatta(M.mulatta)and Macaca fascicularis(M.fascicularis)and New World monkey Callithrix jacchus(C.jacchus).Infected M.mulatta and M.fascicularis showed abnormal chest radiographs,an increased body temperature and a decreased body weight.Viral genomes were detected in swab and blood samples from all animals.Viral load was detected in the pulmonary tissues of M.mulatta and M.fascicularis but not C.jacchus.Furthermore,among the three animal species,M.mulatta showed the strongest response to SARS-CoV-2,including increased inflammatory cytokine expression and pathological changes in the pulmonary tissues.Collectively, these data revealed the different susceptibilities of Old World and New World monkeys to SARS-CoV-2 and identified M.mulatta as the most suitable for modeling COVID-19.Shuaiyao Lu Yuan Zhao Wenhai Yu Yun Yang Jiahong Gao Junbin Wang Dexuan Kuang Mengli Yang Jing Yang Chunxia Ma Jingwen Xu Xingli Qian Haiyan Li Siwen Zhao Jingmei Li Haixuan Wang Haiting Long Jingxian Zhou Fangyu Luo Kaiyun Ding Daoju Wu Yong Zhang Yinliang Dong Yuqin Liu Yinqiu Zheng Xiaochen Lin Li Jiao Huanying Zheng Qing Dai Qiangming Sun Yunzhang Hu Changwen Ke Hongqi Liu Xiaozhong Peng 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:5
Location and size regulation of manganese oxides within mesoporous silica for enhanced antibiotic degradation显示文摘Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods, and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health. In present work, advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)are adopted to remove the antibiotic of sul-fachloropyridazine(SCP).Nanosized Mn_(2)O_(3) was fabricated on the SBA-15 material to catalytically acti-vate potassium peroxydisulfate(PDS)to generate reactive oxygen radicals of.OH and SO_(4).for SCP degradation. The effects of location and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) were explored through choosing either the as-made or template free SBA-15 as the precursor of substrate.Great influences from the site and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) on the oxidation activity were discovered. It was found that Mn_(2)O_(3) with a large size at the exterior of SBA-15(Mn-tfSBA)was slightly easier to degrade SCP at a low manganese loading of 1.0-2.0 mmol.g;however, complete SCP removal could only be achieved on the catalyst of Mn_(2)O_(3) with a refined size at the interior of SBA-15(Mn-asSBA).Moreover,the SO_(4).species were revealed to be the decisive radicals in the SCP degradation processes.Exploring the as-made mesoporous silica as a support provides a new idea for the further development of environmentally friendly catalysts.Min Lu Mengxuan Liu Chunli Xu Yu Yin Lei Shi Hong Wu Aihua Yuan Xiao-Ming Ren Shaobin Wang Hongqi Sun 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,8:3

Nano-enabled solar driven-interfacial evaporation:Advanced design and opportunities显示文摘Solar-driven interfacial evaporation(SDIE)is emerging as a promising pathway to solving the worldwide water shortage and water pollution.Nanomaterials(e.g.,plasmonic metals,inorganic/organic semiconductors, and carbon nanomaterials)and related nanochemistry have attracted increasing attention for the solar-to-vapor process in terms of broadband absorption, electronic structure adjustment, and surface/interface chemistry manipulation.Furthermore, the assembly of nanomaterials can contribute to the mass transfer, heat management, and enthalpy regulation of water during solar evaporation. To date, numerous nano-enabled materials and structures have been developed to improve the solar absorption, heat management(i.e.,heat confinement and heat transfer),and water management(i.e.,activation,evaporation,and replenishment). In this review,we focus on a systematical summary about the composition and structure engineering of nanomaterials in SDIE,including size and morphology effects, nanostructure optimizations, and structure-property relationship decoupling. This review also surveys recent advances in nanochemistry(e.g.,preparation chemistry and structural chemistry)deployed to conceptual design of nanomaterials. Finally, the key challenges and future perspectives of nanomaterials for solar evaporation are overviewed. This review aims at providing guidance for the design and construction of nanomaterials for high-efficiency SDIE on the basis of the aspects of materials science and chemical engineering.Xin Zhao Xiangtong Meng Hongqi Zou Yanjun Zhang Yangjun Ma Yadong Du Yuan Shao Jun Qi Jieshan Qiu 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:1

Effective treatment of SARS-CoV-2-infected rhesus macaques by attenuating inflammation显示文摘Dear Editor,The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus has caused a significant public health crisis worldwide.Recent studies show that excessive inflammatory response is critical for SARS-CoV-2 pathogenesis and COVID-19 severity,'which can lead to acute lung injury(ALI)and acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS).2 One major factor for acute inflammation in SARS-CoV-2 infection is the inflammatory macrophages, which has been considered important for the production of large amounts of proinflammatory cytokines.'Autopsy identifhed an intense infltra-tion of macrophages in the lung tissues of fatal COVID-19 patients.Shuaiyao Lu Jingjing Zhao Jiebin Dong Hongqi Liu Yinhua Zhu Honggang Li Liping Liu Yun Yang Shicheng Sun Yifan Song Yuan Zhao Ruiping She Tuoping Luo Hongkui Deng Xiaozhong Peng 2021Cell Research2021,31,2:1
