4Responses of Nitrogen and Related Enzyme Activities to Fertilization in Rhizosphere of Wheat显示文摘In the present experiment, wheat seedlings (Trticucum aestivum L.) were grown on a purple soil withvarious fertilizer treatments in order to investigate the responses of nitrogen and related eusyme activitiesin the rhizosphere. The results revealed the increments of both organic matter and total N in the soil withthe proximity to the growing roots, especially in the treatment of supplying pig manure in combination withchemical fertilizer, suggesting that they could come from root and microorganism exudation which could beintensified by inorganic-organic fertilization, being of benefit to improving the physical and biological envi-ronment in the rhizosphere of wheat. Much more inorganic N was observed in the fertilized soils surroundingwheat roots than in the CK treatment, indicating the improvement of crop N supply in the rhisosphere ofwheat by fertilization.The activities of invertase, urease and protease in the root zone were greatly enhanced as compared tothose in the other parts of soils except that the urease activities were similar in the rhizo8phere and nonrhi-zosphere of the CK and pig manure treatments, indicating that invertase and protease could be produced bygrowing roots and rhizosphere microorganisms, in contrast to urease which could be stimulated by urea. Also,significant increment of these three enzyme activities in the rhizosphere of wheat by fertilizatioll, especially byapplication of chemical fertilizer combined with pig manurel suggested that fertilization not only acceleratedthe renewal of organic matter but also enhanced bioavailability of organic N in that soil zone. 5Changes in phototactic behavior of Daphnia magna clone C_1242 in response to copper, cadmium and pentachlorophenol显示文摘In order to develop a sound biotechnique for monitoring water quality that builds on the previous experiments carried out in our laboratory, a specific D. magna clone C 1242 was used to study the effects of pollutants on phototactic behavior. In all experiments, the animals showed a stable and repeatable phototactic index approximated 0.2 in the presence and 0.4 in the absence of fish kairomones, which decreased significantly in response to pollutants. There existed no pollutant×fish kairomone interaction, indicating the changes in phototactic behavior of animals imposed by pollutants were independent of the presence of fish kairomones. The detection limits for changes in phototactic behavior of D. magna clone C 1242 are 0.04 mg/L for copper, 0.02 mg/L for cadmium, and 0.80 mg/L for PCP, respectively, quite lower than LC 50(48 h). The changes in phototactic behavior in presence to pollutants occurred quickly(3 h) compared to the period over whole acute toxicity tests. Therefore, D. magna clone C 1242 could be potentially used to monitor water quality. Moreover, the phototactic behavior did not decrease further in the pollutant mixtures employed in our experiments compared to individual pollutants, except in the Cd-PCP treatment. 7A study of SAR remote sensing of internal solitary waves in the north of the South China Sea:Ⅰ.Simulation of internal tide transformation显示文摘For settlement of the well-known problem of contemporary radar imaging models,i.e.,the problem of a general underestimation of radar signatures of hydrodynamic features over oceanic internal waves and underwater bottom topography in tidal waters at high radar frequency bands(X-band and C-band),the impact of the ocean surface mixed layer turbulence and the significance of stratified oceanic model on SAR remote sensing of internal solitary waves are proposed.In the north of the South China Sea by utilizing some observed data of background field the nonlinearity coefficient,the dispersion coefficient,the horizontal variability coefficient and the phase speed in the generalized K-dV equation are determined approximately.Through simulations of internal tide transformation the temporal evolution and spatial distribution of the vertical displacement and horizontal velocity of internal wave field are obtained.The simulation results indicate that the maximum amplitudes of internal solitary waves occur at depth 35 m,but the maximum current speeds take place at depth 20 m in this area of the sea(about 20°30'N,114°E)in August.It was noticed that considering the effects of flood current and ebb current respectively is appropriate to investigate influence of the background shear flow on coefficients of the K-dV equation.The obtained results provide the possibility for the simulation of SAR signatures of internal solitary waves under considering the impact of ocean surface mixed layer turbulence in the companion paper.FAN Zhisong ZHANG Yuanling SONG Mei 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,4:12

9A study of SAR remote sensing of internal solitary waves in the north of the South China Sea:Ⅱ.Simulation of SAR signatures of internal solitary waves显示文摘A new model developed from the full-spectrum model of Lyzenga and Bennett (1988) is built up by us preliminarily through considering the impact of the ocean surface mixed layer turbulence on SAR remote sensing of internal solitary waves. In the partial differential equation of the action spectral density of the surface gravity-capillary waves the source function representing the contribution of the turbulence is added besides the usual source function representing the contribution of the wind. The source function is determined by applying the k-ε model and adopting the Nasmyth spectrum of oceanic turbulence (Nasmyth,1970; Oakey,1982; Fan,2002) on the basis of the previous simulation results of internal tide transformation obtained in the companion paper (Fan et al.,2008). Either under relatively high wind speed,or under low wind speed,our model predicts significant large modulations of radar backscatter at all three bands (L,C and X bands) for both VV and HH polarization. 11The long-term prediction of the oil-contaminated water from the Sanchi collision in the East China Sea显示文摘The condensate and bunker oil leaked from the Sanchi collision would cause a persistent impact on marine ecosystems in the surrounding areas. The long-term prediction for the distribution of the oil-polluted water and the information for the most affected regions would provide valuable information for the oceanic environment protection and pollution assessment. Based on the operational forecast system developed by the First Institute of Oceanography, State Oceanic Administration, we precisely predicted the drifting path of the oil tanker Sanchi after its collision. Trajectories of virtual oil particles show that the oil leaked from the Sanchi after it sank is mainly transported to the northeastern part of the sink location, and quickly goes to the open ocean along with the Kuroshio. 12Adsorption characteristics of a novel ceramsite for heavy metal removal from stormwater runoff显示文摘Urban sediments have rapidly increased in recent years around the world,and their effective management has become an important problem.To remove heavy metals from stormwater runoff and use sediments as a resource,a novel ceramsite was developed using sewer pipe sediments(SPS),river bed sediments(RBS),urban water supply treatment sludge(WSTS),and wastewater treatment plant excess sludge(WWTS).The optimal composition was determined based on the Brunauer–Emmett–Teller specific surface area and an orthogonal test design.The adsorption characteristics of the novel ceramsite for dissolved heavy metals(Cu^(2+)and Cd^(2+)) were investigated through adsorption isotherms and kinetic experiments at(25±1)℃.Both Cu^(2+) and Cd^(2+) were effectively removed by the novel ceramsite,and their equilibrium adsorption was 4.96 mg·g^(-1) and 3.84 mg·g^(-1),respectively.Langmuir isotherms and a pseudo-first-order kinetic equation described the adsorption process better than other techniques.Characterization analysis of the ceramsite composition before and after heavy metal adsorption showed that the Cu^(2+) and Cd^(2+) contents in the ceramsite increased after adsorption.The results revealed that adsorption is both a physical and chemical process,and that ceramsite can be used as a bioretention medium to remove heavy metals from stormwater runoff while simultaneously converting problematic urban sediments into a resource.Jianlong wang Yuanling Zhao Pingping Zhang Liqiong Yang Huai'ao Xu Guangpeng Xi 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,1:9

15Toxoplasma gondii GRA15II effector-induced M1 cells ameliorate liver fibrosis in mice infected with Schistosomiasis japonica显示文摘Recent studies indicated that type II Toxoplasma gondii(Tg)GRA15II favored the generation of classically activated macrophages(M1),whereas type I/III TgROP16I/III promoted the polarization of alternatively activated macrophages(M2).A number of studies have demonstrated that M2 cells are involved in the pathogenesis of the liver fibrogenesis caused by Schistosoma japonicum.The purpose of the present study was to explore the inhibitory effect of Toxoplasma-derived TgGRA15II on mouse hepatic fibrosis with schistosomiasis.The gra15II and rop16I/III genes were amplified from strains T.gondii PRU and Chinese 1 Wh3,respectively.Lentiviral vectors containing the gra15II or rop16I/III plasmid were constructed and used to infect the RAW264.7 cell line.The polarization of the transfected cells was evaluated,followed by co-culture of the biased macrophages with mouse hepatic stellate JS1 cells.Then,mice were injected with GRA15II-driven macrophages via the tail vein and infected with S.japonicum cercariae.TgGRA15II induced a M1-biased response,whereas TgROP16I/III drove the macrophages to a M2-like phenotype.The in vitro experiments indicated that JS1 cell proliferation and collagen synthesis were decreased following co-culture with TgGRA15II-activated macrophages.Furthermore,mice inoculated with TgGRA15II-biased macrophages displayed a notable alleviation of collagen deposition and granuloma formation in their liver tissues.Our results suggest that TgGRA15II-induced M1 cells may dampen the M2 dominant pathogenesis of hepatic fibrosis and granulomatosis.These results provide insights into the use of parasite-derived immunomodulators as potential anti-fibrosis agents and to re-balance the schistosomiasis-induced immune response.Yuanyuan Xie Huiqin Wen Ke Yan Shushu Wang Xuesong Wang Jian Chen Yuanling Li Yuanhong Xu Zhengrong Zhong Jilong Shen Deyong Chu 2018Cellular & Molecular Immunology2018,15,2:4
16Improved two-way satellite time and frequency transfer with Multi-GEO in BeiDou navigation system显示文摘Due to the limitation of Geostationary Earth Orbit(GEO)satellite resources,only very few TWSTFT links with parallel counterpart operating via diferent GEO satellites between two ground stations are available.There are 5 GEO satellites in BeiDou Navigation System,which enables an improved TWSTFT with Multi-GEO.Two algorithms are put forward to take the advantage of Multi-GEO links to improve the performance of time and frequency transfer respectively.The dynamic weight average algorithm based on a newly proposed dynamic time variance aiming at improving the performance of time transfer is shown to be able to reduce the dynamic time deviation of the two-way measurement result to 1/√N dynamic time deviation of the single link using N-GEO links,if each link has similar level of link noises.The algorithm of cancelling out the link noise Allan variances with 2-GEO links is expected to obtain the Allan variance of clock diference between two ground stations.The experiment results using 2-GEO links in BeiDou Navigation System show that the dynamic weight average algorithm can improve the dynamic time deviation of the two-way measurement to around 0.6 of that of the single link in an average concept.And the estimated Allan deviation of the clock diference using the algorithm for cancelling the noise Allan variances of both links can reach 7×10 12(τ0.65)for the averaging time 1–105s which is within the same order of magnitude as the estimated Allan deviation based on carrier Doppler measurement for the averaging time 10 s–104s,despite the noisy links with the Allan deviation follows 3×10 10(τ1).YANG WenKe GONG Hang LIU ZengJun LI YuanLing SUN GuangFu 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2:4

20Geochemistry, Petrology and Mineralogy of Coal Measure Shales in the Middle Jurassic Yanan Formation from Northeastern Ordos Basin, China: Implications for Shale Gas Accumulation显示文摘The Jurassic Yanan Formation is one of the most important coal-producing formations and hydrocarbon source rocks in the Ordos Basin, North China. To evaluate the shale gas potential of the Yanan shale, a total of 48 samples from north Ordos Basin were sampled, and their geochemical, petrological, mineralogical and pore characteristics were investigated. It was found that the shale samples are a suite of early mature source rock. The total organic carbon(TOC) content ranges from 0.33% to 24.12% and the hydrogen index(HI) ranges from 43.31 mg/g to 330.58 mg/g. The relationship between Tmax and HI indicates the organic matter is type Ⅱ-Ⅲ. This conclusion is also supported by the organic petrological examination results, which shows that the kerogen is mainly liptinite and vitrinite. Minerals in the samples are composed mainly of quartz, clay and feldspar, and the clay minerals are composed of prevailing kaolinite, illite/smectite, chlorite and a small amount of illite. Under scanning electron microscope, OM pores in the Yanan shale are scarce except pores come from the kerogen intrinsic texture or clay aggregates within the organic particles. As the weak compaction caused by shallow burial depth, interparticle pores and intraparticle pores are common, the hydrocarbon storage capacity of the Yanan shale was improved.
