| 2 | Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. | 10 | Sample size re-estimation without un-blinding for time-to-event outcomes in oncology clinical trials显示文摘Sample size re-estimation is essential in oncology studies. However, the use of blinded sample size reassessment for survival data has been rarely reported. Based on the density function of the exponential distribution, an expectation-maximization(EM) algorithm of the hazard ratio was derived, and several simulation studies were used to verify its applications. The method had obvious variation in the hazard ratio estimates and overestimation for the relatively small hazard ratios. Our studies showed that the stability of the EM estimation results directly correlated with the sample size, the convergence of the EM algorithm was impacted by the initial values, and a balanced design produced the best estimates. | 11 | Effect of different combinations of emulsifier and wall materials on physical properties of spray-dried microencapsulated swida wilsoniana oil显示文摘Spray drying was used to produce microencapsulated Wilson’s dogwood(Swida wilsoniana)oil.The influences of the emulsifier and wall materials on the encapsulation were studied in order to produce high quality encapsulated S.wilsoniana oil.The emulsions were prepared by using lecithin(L)and Tween 80(T)with different hydrophilic-lipophilic balance.Results indicated that the stable emulsion was obtained using T and L as the compound emulsifier at a ratio of 4/6(w/w).By virtue of the compound emulsifier(T/L 4/6),the microencapsulation efficiency(MEE)reached 91%,and the oil loading up to 35%was achieved.We also examined the influence of the wall materials on the microencapsulation of S.wilsoniana oil.All the three wall materials exhibited high MEE(>85%),and the highest MEE(95.20%)was obtained with sodium caseinate/lactose.All the S.wilsoniana oil encapsulated with the three wall materials exhibited nearly spherical microcapsules without pores or cracks,thus protecting the oil from oxygen. | Xiaohua Yang Shouhai Li Jiujuan Yan Jianling Xia Lixin Huang Mei Li Haiyang Ding Lina Xu | 2020 | Journal of Bioresources and Bioproducts2020,5,1: | 0 |
| 12 | Performance measurement and evaluation of an ionic liquid electrospray thruster显示文摘As a novel micro-propulsion system for small satellites(from micro to nano),the ionic liquid electro spray propulsion system is a promising candidate.However,performance measurement and evaluation of the Ionic Liquid Electrospray Thruster(ILET)is one of the most challenging issues for practical application,due to the difficulties in the development of a prototype and direct measurements of micro-thrust and small flow rate.To address this issue,a Modular Ionic Liquid Electrospray Thruster(MILET)prototype is constructed,and a diagnostic system for thrust and mass flow rate is specially developed based on an analytical balance method.With the ionic liquid 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate as the propellant,a series of experiments is carried out on the MILET prototype under a wide operating condition through changing the applied voltage to control the thrust.Under different applied voltages,the thrust and the mass flow rate of the propellant are directly measured.The propulsive performance parameters of the thruster,such as thrust,specific impulse,thrust-to-power ratio,thruster efficiency,etc.,are comprehensively analyzed.Then,a performance comparison is made between the MILET and other representative ILETs.With a relatively low applied voltage ranging from 1550 V to 2000 V,the MILET achieves a quasi-constant specific impulse of 1263 s with the averaged thrust-to-power ratio of 65.2μN/W and thruster efficiency of 40.7%.The performance of ILET is also compared with other typical electric propulsions.The results demonstrate that the ILET exhibits an excellent ability of minimalization with high specific impulse and thruster efficiency,which guarantees a great superiority in micro propulsions.Finally,the ways to further improve the performance of ILET are discussed,which further confirms the potential prospect of ILET.The present result helps to advance the development and application of ILET. | Chengjin HUANG Jianling LI Mu LI | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,3: | 0 |
| 13 | Determination of Distance,Extinction,Mass,and Age for Stars in LAMOST DR7显示文摘Large scale spectroscopic surveys such as that using Large-sky Area Multi-Object Fiber Spectroscopic Telescope(LAMOST) have collected spectra of millions stars in the Milky Way.Utilizing this huge sample of stars to study the assembling history and structure of our Galaxy requires accurate estimates of distance,extinction,age,and mass for individual stars.Combining the parallax constraint from Gaia EDR3 with Bayesian inference,we have estimated the distance and extinction for stars observed in LAMOST DR7,as well as the stellar mass and age for evolved stars in this data release.We validated the accuracies of the stellar parameters by comparing our results against various measurements,including the star-pair technique,asteroseismology,globular clusters,and isochrone fits to main sequence stars and subgiants.This is a valuable catalog of stellar parameters under a Bayesian framework estimated using the data from Gaia EDR3 and LAMOST spectroscopic data.With this data set we explored the stellar population of the Galactic massive substructure Gaia-Sausage-Enceladus(GSE).The kinematically selected members of GSE have a median metallicity of [Fe/H] =-1.29 and a median age of 11.6 Gyr. | Jianling Wang Zihuang Cao Yang Huang Haibo Yuan | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,2: | 0 |
| 14 | MoS_(2)-based nanocomposites for cancer diagnosis and therapy显示文摘Molybdenum is a trace dietary element necessary for the survival of humans.Some molybdenum-bearing enzymes are involved in key metabolic activities in the human body(such as xanthine oxidase,aldehyde oxidase and sulfite oxidase).Many molybdenum-based compounds have been widely used in biomedical research.Especially,MoS_(2)-nanomaterials have attracted more attention in cancer diagnosis and treatment recently because of their unique physical and chemical properties.MoS_(2)can adsorb various biomolecules and drug molecules via covalent or non-covalent interactions because it is easy to modify and possess a high specific surface area,improving its tumor targeting and colloidal stability,as well as accuracy and sensitivity for detecting specific biomarkers.At the same time,in the near-infrared(NIR)window,MoS_(2)has excellent optical absorption and prominent photothermal conversion efficiency,which can achieve NIR-based phototherapy and NIR-responsive controlled drug-release.Significantly,the modified MoS_(2)-nanocomposite can specifically respond to the tumor microenvironment,leading to drug accumulation in the tumor site increased,reducing its side effects on non-cancerous tissues,and improved therapeutic effect.In this review,we introduced the latest developments of MoS_(2)-nanocomposites in cancer diagnosis and therapy,mainly focusing on biosensors,bioimaging,chemotherapy,phototherapy,microwave hyperthermia,and combination therapy.Furthermore,we also discuss the current challenges and prospects of MoS_(2)-nanocomposites in cancer treatment. | Jianling Wang Lihua Sui Jia Huang Lu Miao Yubing Nie Kuansong Wang Zhichun Yang Qiong Huang Xue Gong Yayun Nan Kelong Ai | 2021 | Bioactive Materials2021,6,11: | 0 |
