1Self-supported high-entropy alloy electrocatalyst for highly efficient H_(2) evolution in acid condition显示文摘Developing non-precious catalysts as Pt substitutes for electrochemical hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)with superior stability in acidic electrolyte is of critical importance for large-scale,low-cost hydrogen production from water.Herein,we report a CoCrFeNiAl high-entropy alloy(HEA)electrocatalyst with self-supported structure synthesized by mechanical alloying and spark plasma sintering(SPS)consolidation.The HEA after HF treatment and in situ electrochemical activation for 4000 cycles of cyclic voltammetry(HF-HEAa2)presents favourable activity with overpotential of 73 mV to reach a current density of 10 mA cm^(2) and a Tafel slope of 39.7 mV dec1.The alloy effect of Al/Cr with Co/Fe/Ni at atomic level,high-temperature crystallization,as well as consolidation by SPS endow CoCrFeNiAl HEA with high stability in 0.5 M H2SO4 solution.The superior performance of HF-HEAa2 is related with the presence of metal hydroxides/oxides groups on HEA.Peiyan Ma Mingming Zhao Long Zhang Heng Wang Junfeng Gu Yuchen Sun Wei Ji Zhengyi Fu 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,4:8
2Chinese social media reaction to the MERS-CoV and avian influenza A(H7N9) outbreaks显示文摘Background:As internet and social media use have skyrocketed,epidemiologists have begun to use online data such as Google query data and Twitter trends to track the activity levels of influenza and other infectious diseases.In China,Weibo is an extremely popular microblogging site that is equivalent to Twitter.Capitalizing on the wealth of public opinion data contained in posts on Weibo,this study used Weibo as a measure of the Chinese people’s reactions to two different outbreaks:the 2012 Middle East Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus(MERS-CoV)outbreak,and the 2013 outbreak of human infection of avian influenza A(H7N9)in China.Methods:Keyword searches were performed in Weibo data collected by The University of Hong Kong’s Weiboscope project.Baseline values were determined for each keyword and reaction values per million posts in the days after outbreak information was released to the public.Results:The results show that the Chinese people reacted significantly to both outbreaks online,where their social media reaction was two orders of magnitude stronger to the H7N9 influenza outbreak that happened in China than the MERS-CoV outbreak that was far away from China.Conclusions:These results demonstrate that social media could be a useful measure of public awareness and reaction to disease outbreak information released by health authorities.Isaac Chun-Hai Fung King-Wa Fu Yuchen Ying Braydon Schaible Yi Hao Chung-Hong Chan Zion Tsz-Ho Tse 2013Infectious Diseases of Poverty2013,2,1:6
3Shape and position of Earth's bow shock near-lunar orbit based on ARTEMIS data显示文摘Earth's bow shock is the result of interaction between the supersonic solar wind and Earth's magnetopause. However, data limitations mean the model of the shape and position of the bow shock are based largely on near-Earth satellite data. The model of the bow shock in the distant magnetotail and other factors that affect the bow shock, such as the interplanetary magnetic field(IMF) B_y, remain unclear. Here, based on the bow shock crossings of ARTEMIS from January 2011 to January 2015, new coefficients of the tail-flaring angle a of the Chao model(one of the most accurate models currently available) were obtained by fitting data from the middle-distance magnetotail(near-lunar orbit, geocentric distance -20R_E>X>-50R_E). In addition, the effects of the IMF B_y on the flaring angle a were analyzed. Our results showed that:(1) the new fitting coefficients of the Chao model in the middle-distance magnetotail are more consistent with the observed results;(2) the tail-flaring angle a of the bow shock increases as the absolute value of the IMF B_y increases. Moreover, positive IMF B_y has a greater effect than negative IMF B_y on flaring angle. 4Experience Replay for Least-Squares Policy Iteration显示文摘Policy iteration,which evaluates and improves the control policy iteratively,is a reinforcement learning method.Policy evaluation with the least-squares method can draw more useful information from the empirical data and therefore improve the data validity.However,most existing online least-squares policy iteration methods only use each sample just once,resulting in the low utilization rate.With the goal of improving the utilization efficiency,we propose an experience replay for least-squares policy iteration(ERLSPI)and prove its convergence.ERLSPI method combines online least-squares policy iteration method with experience replay,stores the samples which are generated online,and reuses these samples with least-squares method to update the control policy.We apply the ERLSPI method for the inverted pendulum system,a typical benchmark testing.The experimental results show that the method can effectively take advantage of the previous experience and knowledge,improve the empirical utilization efficiency,and accelerate the convergence speed.Quan Liu Xin Zhou Fei Zhu Qiming Fu Yuchen Fu 2014IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2014,1,3:1
5Flow characteristics of integrated motor-pump assembly with phosphate ester medium for aerospace electro-hydrostatic actuators显示文摘Motor-pump assembly is the core component of the Aerospace Electro-hydrostatic Actuator(EHA).Thus,the design of the motor pump can be very challenging under conditions of high speed and wide pressure range,especially in particular working mediums.Our ultimate goal is to pursue better flow characteristics under a wide range of working conditions.In this paper,we built a sub-model of the main friction interfaces and a model of single-shaft coaxial motor-pump assembly adopting the method of hierarchical modeling.The experimental investigation of the output characteristics was mainly carried out in a phosphate ester medium environment.Then,the flow characteristics were compared and analyzed with the simulation results.Results indicated that the flow characteristics of the motor-pump assembly could be accurately simulated by the model and quite severe in a low speed and high-pressure environment.Jiangao ZHAO Jian FU Yuchen LI Haitao QI Yan WANG Yongling FU 2023Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2023,36,9:0
6Coil-to-Stretch Transition of Binder Chains Enabled by“Nano-Combs”to Facilitate Highly Stable SiO_(x) Anode显示文摘The commercialized binder carboxymethyl cellulose sodium(CMC-Na)is considered unsuitable for micro-sized SiO_(x) anode as it cannot endure the large volume change to retain the conductive network during repeated charge/discharge cycles.Herein,a small amount of silicon nanoparticles(SiNPs)is added during slurry preparation process as“nano-combs”to unfold the convoluted CMC-Na polymer chains so that they undergo a coilto-stretch transition by interaction between polar groups(e.g.,-OH,-COONa)of polymer and SiNPs’large surface.Through maximizing the utilization of binders,a uniform conductive network is constructed with increased interfacial contact with micro-sized SiO_(x).As a result,the SiO_(x) electrode with optimized(10 wt%)SiNPs addition shows significantly improved initial capacity and cycling performance.Through revisiting CMCNa,a currently deemed unqualified binder in SiO_(x) anode,this work gives a brand-new perspective on the failing mechanism of Si-based anode materials and an improving strategy for electrode preparation.Shida Xue Yanda Fu Zhibo Song Shiming Chen Yuchen Ji Yan Zhao Huizhi Wang Guoyu Qian Luyi Yang Feng Pan 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4:0
7On the use of cross polarization in solid-state NMR:1 H spinlock versus adiabatic demagnetization in the rotating frame显示文摘Cross polarization(CP)is a widely used solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)technique for enhancing the polarization of dilute S spins from much larger polarization of abundant I spins such as 1 H.To achieve such a polarization transfer,the I spin should either be spin-locked or be converted to the dipolar ordered state through adiabatic demagnetization in the rotating frame.In this work,we analyze the spin dynamics of the Hartmann-Hahn CP(HHCP)utilizing the 1 H spin-locking,and the dipolar-order CP(DOCP)having the 1 H adiabatic demagnetization.We further propose an adiabatic demagnetization CP(ADCP)where a constant radio-frequency pulse is applied on the S spin while 1 H is adiabatically demagnetized.Our analyses indicate that ADCP utilizes the adiabatic passage to effectively achieve the polarization transfer from the 1 H to S spins.In addition,the dipolar ordered state generated during the 1 H demagnetization process could also be converted into the observable S polarization through DOCP,further enhancing the polarized signals.It is shown by both static and magic-angle-spinning(MAS)NMR experiments that ADCP has dramatically broadened the CP matching condition over the other CP schemes.Various samples have been used to demonstrate the polarization transfer efficiency of this newly proposed ADCP scheme.Yuchen Li Shengyu Zhang Ze Wu Xinhua Peng Riqiang Fu 2022Magnetic Resonance Letters2022,2,3:0

9Hierarchical Reinforcement Learning With Automatic Sub-Goal Identification显示文摘In reinforcement learning an agent may explore ineffectively when dealing with sparse reward tasks where finding a reward point is difficult.To solve the problem,we propose an algorithm called hierarchical deep reinforcement learning with automatic sub-goal identification via computer vision(HADS)which takes advantage of hierarchical reinforcement learning to alleviate the sparse reward problem and improve efficiency of exploration by utilizing a sub-goal mechanism.HADS uses a computer vision method to identify sub-goals automatically for hierarchical deep reinforcement learning.Due to the fact that not all sub-goal points are reachable,a mechanism is proposed to remove unreachable sub-goal points so as to further improve the performance of the algorithm.HADS involves contour recognition to identify sub-goals from the state image where some salient states in the state image may be recognized as sub-goals,while those that are not will be removed based on prior knowledge.Our experiments verified the effect of the algorithm.Chenghao Liu Fei Zhu Quan Liu Yuchen Fu 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,10:0
