| 1 | Dynamic expression of apoptosis-related genes during development of laboratory hepatocellular carcinoma and its relation to apoptosis显示文摘AIM:To explore the expression of p53,bcl-2,bax,survivin and the cell apoptosis during the development of tree shrew hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),the relationship between expression of these genes, its impact on HCC development, and its relation to cell apoptosis.METHONS:Tree shrew HCC was induced with aflatoxin B1(AFB1),and regular biopsy of liver tissues was carried out and the biopsy tissues were collected during cancer inducement.Liver biopsy tisue and HCC tissue were collected from 35pre-cancerous experimental animats at wk 30 and 60 and at the 30th_,60th_,and 90th-wk,Liver biopsy tissues were collected from 13 blank control animals at wk 30,60,and 90.Expression of p53,bcl-2,bax,and survivin at each stage was examined by immunohistochemistry method.Apoptotic cells were detected in situ by the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated nick end labeling(tunel)technique.RESULTS:The apoptosis rate of normal hepatic cells was extremely low, whereas it increased during the formation of HCC.Expression of the apoptosis-related genes p53,bd-2,bax,and suvivin during the formation of HCC presented an increasing tendency.Expression of p53 did not noticeably relate to that of bcl-2,bax,and survivin, whereas expression of bcl-2 and bax was closely related. In HCC,p53 did not present a distinct relation to cell apoptosis, whereas its high level expression was probably related to liver cell proliferation.Survivin negetively correlated apoptosis index, and its overexpression could inhibit cell apoptosis.CONCLUSION:Apoptosis-related genes p53,bcl-2,bax,and survivin are all related to the occurrence of HCC.The anti-apoptosis effect of bcl-2 is influenced by bax,and ratio bcl/bax reflects more correctly the extent of cell apoptosis. | Xiao-Xian Duan Jing-Sheng Ou Yuan Li Jian-Jia Su Chao Ou Chun Yang Hui-Fen Yue Ke-Chen Ban | 2005 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,30: | 38 |

| 5 | The Chromatic Point-spread Function of Weak Lensing Measurement in the Chinese Space Station Survey Telescope显示文摘Weak gravitational lensing is a powerful tool in modern cosmology. To accurately measure the weak lensing signal, one has to control the systematic bias on a small level. One of the most difficult problems is how to correct the smearing effect of the Point-Spread Function(PSF)on the shape of the galaxies. The chromaticity of PSF for a broad-band observation can lead to new subtle effects.Since the PSF is wavelength-dependent and the spectrum energy distributions between stars and galaxies are different, the effective PSF measured from the star images will be different from those that smear the galaxies.Such a bias is called color bias.We estimate it in the optical bands of the Chinese Space Station Survey Telescope from simulated PSFs,and show the dependence on the color and redshift of the galaxies. Moreover, due to the spatial variation of spectra over the galaxy image, another higher-order bias exists:color gradient bias. Our results show that both color bias and color gradient bias are generally below 0.1%in CSST.Only for small-size galaxies, one needs to be careful about the color gradient bias in the weak lensing analysis using CSST data. | Quanyu Liu Xinzhong Er Chengliang Wei Dezi Liu Guoliang Li Zuhui Fan Xiaobo Li Zhang Ban Dan Yue | 2023 | Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2023,23,7: | 0 |
| 6 | Experimentally realizing efficient quantum control with reinforcement learning显示文摘We experimentally investigate deep reinforcement learning(DRL)as an artificial intelligence approach to control a quantum system. We verify that DRL explores fast and robust digital quantum controls with operation time analytically hinted by shortcuts to adiabaticity. In particular, the protocol’s robustness against both over-rotations and off-resonance errors can still be achieved simultaneously without any priori input. For the thorough comparison,we choose the task as single-qubit flipping,in which various analytical methods are well-developed as the benchmark, ensuring their feasibility in the quantum system as well.Consequently,a gate operation is demonstrated on a trapped^(171) Yb^(+)ion, significantly outperforming analytical pulses in the gate time and energy cost with hybrid robustness,as well as the fidelity after repetitive operations under time-varying stochastic errors. Our experiments reveal a framework of computer-inspired quantum control, which can be extended to other complicated tasks without loss of generality. | Ming-Zhong Ai Yongcheng Ding Yue Ban JoséDMartín-Guerrero Jorge Casanova Jin-Ming Cui Yun-Feng Huang Xi Chen Chuan-Feng Li Guang-Can Guo | 2022 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2022,65,5: | 0 |

| 8 | Simulation study of the performance of quadruple-GEM detectors显示文摘Background Gas Electron Multiplier(GEM)detectors are widely used for high-energy physics experiments, such as the triple-GEM detector installed in CMS,due to their excellent performance.A quadruple-GEM detector is regarded as the candidate for the upgrade projects of the High Luminosity LHC(HL-LHC).Method In this paper, key performance characteristics of quadruple-GEM detectors are studied in detail based on Monte Carlo simulation using the Garfield++and ANSYS software packages. The parameterization method is adopted.Result The spatial and time resolution, effective gain, efficiency, and electron transparency are obtained via simulation for different detector geometries and operating conditions. We create a quadruple-GEM structure that meets the geometric requirements of the CMS endcap muon detectors. Conclusion These studies help to understand the physical mechanisms of GEM detectors and provide references for the detector design, operating condition optimization and technical scheme selection in future applications. | Yue Wang Licheng Zhang Aera Jung Dayong Wang Yong Ban | 2023 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2023,7,1: | 0 |
