1A Storage-Driven CO_(2) EOR for a Net-Zero Emission Target显示文摘Stabilizing global climate change to within 1.5℃requires a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions,with a primary focus on carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions.CO_(2)flooding in oilfields has recently been recognized as an important way to reduce CO_(2)emissions by storing CO_(2)in oil reservoirs.This work proposes an advanced CO_(2)enhanced oil recovery(EOR)method-namely,storage-driven CO_(2)EOR-whose main target is to realize net-zero or even negative CO_(2)emissions by sequestrating the maximum possible amount of CO_(2)in oil reservoirs while accomplishing the maximum possible oil recovery.Here,dimethyl ether(DME)is employed as an efficient agent in assisting conventional CO_(2)EOR for oil recovery while enhancing CO_(2)sequestration in reservoirs.The results show that DME improves the solubility of CO_(2)in in situ oil,which is beneficial for the solubility trapping of CO_(2)storage;furthermore,the presence of DME inhibits the'escape'of lighter hydrocarbons from crude oil due to the CO_(2)extraction effect,which is critical for sustainable oil recovery.Sto rage-driven CO_(2)EOR is superior to conventional CO_(2)EOR in improving sweeping efficiency,especially during the late oil production period.This work demonstrates that storage-driven CO_(2)EOR exhibits higher oil-in-place(OIP)recovery than conventional CO_(2)EOR.Moreover,the amount of sequestrated CO_(2)in storage-driven CO_(2)EOR exceeds the amount of emissions from burning the produced oil;that is,the sequestrated CO_(2)offsets not only current emissions but also past CO_(2)emissions.By altering developing scenarios,such as water alternating storage-driven CO_(2)EOR,more CO_(2)sequestration and higher oil recovery can be achieved.This work demonstrates the potential utilization of DME as an efficient additive to CO_(2)for enhancing oil recovery while improving CO_(2)storage in oil reservoirs.Yueliang Liu Zhenhua Rui 2022Engineering2022,,11:6
2A novel laser shock post-processing technique on the laser-induced damage resistance of 1ωHfO_(2)/SiO_(2)显示文摘The laser shock processing implemented by a laser-induced high-pressure plasma which propagates into the sample as a shockwave is innovatively applied as a post-processing technique on HfO_(2)/SiO_(2) multilayer coatings for the first time.The pure mechanical post-processing has provided evidence of a considerable promotion effect of the laser-induced damage threshold,which increased by a factor of about 4.6 with appropriate processing parameters.The promotion mechanism is confirmed to be the comprehensive modification of the intrinsic defects and the mechanical properties,which made the applicability of this novel post-processing technique on various types of coatings possible.Based on experiments,an interaction equation for the plasma pressure is established,which clarifies the existence of the critical pressure and provides a theoretical basis for selecting optimal processing parameters.In addition to the further clarification of the underlying damage mechanism,the laser shock post-processing provides a promising technique to realize the comprehensive and effective improvement of the laser-induced damage resistance of coatings.Tangyang Pu Wenwen Liu Yueliang Wang Xiaoming Pan Leiqing Chen and Xiaofeng Liu 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,2:4

4A four-gene signature-derived risk score for glioblastoma:prospects for prognostic and response predictive analyses显示文摘Objective: Glioblastoma(GBM) is the most common primary malignant brain tumor regulated by numerous genes, with poor survival outcomes and unsatisfactory response to therapy.Therefore, a robust, multi-gene signature-derived model is required to predict the prognosis and treatment response in GBM.Methods: Gene expression data of GBM from TCGA and GEO datasets were used to identify differentially expressed genes(DEGs)through DESeq2 or LIMMA methods.The DEGs were then overlapped and used for survival analysis by univariate and multivariate COX regression.Based on the gene signature of multiple survival-associated DEGs, a risk score model was established,and its prognostic and predictive role was estimated through Kaplan–Meier analysis and log-rank test.Gene set enrichment analysis(GSEA) was conducted to explore high-risk score-associated pathways.Western blot was used for protein detection.Results: Four survival-associated DEGs of GBM were identified: OSMR, HOXC10, SCARA3, and SLC39A10.The four-gene signature-derived risk score was higher in GBM than in normal brain tissues.GBM patients with a high-risk score had poor survival outcomes.The high-risk group treated with temozolomide chemotherapy or radiotherapy survived for a shorter duration than the low-risk group.GSEA showed that the high-risk score was enriched with pathways such as vasculature development and cell adhesion.Western blot confirmed that the proteins of these four genes were differentially expressed in GBM cells.Conclusions: The four-gene signature-derived risk score functions well in predicting the prognosis and treatment response in GBM and will be useful for guiding therapeutic strategies for GBM patients.Mianfu Cao Juan Cai Ye Yuan Yu Shi Hong Wu Qing Liu Yueliang Yao Lu Chen Weiqi Dang XiangZhang Jingfang Xiao Kaidi Yang Zhicheng He Xiaohong Yao Yonghong Cui Xia Zhang Xiuwu Bian 2019Cancer Biology & Medicine2019,16,3:2

6An Integrated Framework for Geothermal Energy Storage with CO_(2)Sequestration and Utilization显示文摘Subsurface geothermal energy storage has greater potential than other energy storage strategies in terms of capacity scale and time duration.Carbon dioxide(CO_(2))is regarded as a potential medium for energy storage due to its superior thermal properties.Moreover,the use of CO_(2)plumes for geothermal energy storage mitigates the greenhouse effect by storing CO_(2)in geological bodies.In this work,an integrated framework is proposed for synergistic geothermal energy storage and CO_(2)sequestration and utilization.Within this framework,CO_(2)is first injected into geothermal layers for energy accumulation.The resultant high-energy CO_(2)is then introduced into a target oil reservoir for CO_(2)utilization and geothermal energy storage.As a result,CO_(2)is sequestrated in the geological oil reservoir body.The results show that,as high-energy CO_(2)is injected,the average temperature of the whole target reservoir is greatly increased.With the assistance of geothermal energy,the geological utilization efficiency of CO_(2)is higher,resulting in a 10.1%increase in oil displacement efficiency.According to a storage-potential assessment of the simulated CO_(2)site,110 years after the CO_(2)injection,the utilization efficiency of the geological body will be as high as 91.2%,and the final injection quantity of the CO_(2)in the site will be as high as 9.529×10^(8)t.After 1000 years sequestration,the supercritical phase dominates in CO_(2)sequestration,followed by the liquid phase and then the mineralized phase.In addition,CO_(2)sequestration accounting for dissolution trapping increases significantly due to the presence of residual oil.More importantly,CO_(2)exhibits excellent performance in storing geothermal energy on a large scale;for example,the total energy stored in the studied geological body can provide the yearly energy supply for over 3.5×10^(7) normal households.Application of this integrated approach holds great significance for large-scale geothermal energy storage and the achievement of carbon neutrality.Yueliang Liu Ting Hu Zhenhua Rui Zheng Zhang Kai Du Tao Yang Birol Dindoruk Erling Halfdan Stenby Farshid Torabi Andrey Afanasyev 2023Engineering2023,,11:1

8Probing the Interfacial Forces and Surface Interaction Mechanisms in Petroleum Production Processes显示文摘Despite the advances that have been made in renewable energy over the past decade,crude oil or petroleum remains one of the most important energy resources to the world.Petroleum production presents many challenging issues,such as the destabilization of complex oil-water emulsions,fouling phenomena on pipelines and other facilities,and water treatment.These problems are influenced by the molecular forces at the oil/water/solid/gas interfaces involved in relevant processes.Herein,we present an overview of recent advances on probing the interfacial forces in several petroleum production processes(e.g.,bitumen extraction,emulsion stabilization and destabilization,fouling and antifouling phenomena,and water treatment)by applying nanomechanical measurement technologies such as a surface forces apparatus(SFA)and an atomic force microscope(AFM).The interaction forces between bitumen and mineral solids or air bubbles in the surrounding fluid media determine the bitumen liberation and flotation efficiency in oil sands production.The stability of complex oil/water emulsions is governed by the forces between emulsion drops and particularly between interface-active species(e.g.,asphaltenes).Various oil components(e.g.,asphaltenes)and emulsion drops interact with different substrate surfaces(e.g.,pipelines or membranes),influencing fouling phenomena,oil-water separation,and wastewater treatment.Quantifying these intermolecular and interfacial forces has advanced the mechanistic understanding of these interfacial interactions,facilitating the development of advanced materials and technologies to solve relevant challenging issues and improve petroleum production processes.Remaining challenges and suggestions on future research directions in the field are also presented.Diling Yang Xuwen Peng Qiongyao Peng Tao Wang Chenyu Qiao Ziqian Zhao Lu Gong Yueliang Liu Hao Zhang Hongbo Zeng 2022Engineering2022,,11:1

10Structure and electrical characteristics of Nb-doped SrTiO3 substrates显示文摘The studies on structure and electrical characteristic of Nb-doped SrTiO3 (SNTO) substrates by XRD, Hall measurements, R-T and SEM, show that the SNTO substrates with the same Nb-doping concentration have different electrical properties be- cause of the nonuniformity of Nb-doping. The uni- formly doped high-quality substrates are extremely important for fabricating multilayer structure and de- vices. 12Research on two-dimensional fluid vibration axial transmission path model of axial piston pump显示文摘High speed and high pressure can enhance the vibration of axial piston pump. A fluid vibration transmission law of axial piston pump is studied in this paper. According to harmonic response analysis results, a transmission path analysis is used to establish a two-dimensional fluid vibration transmission path model in the vertical plane, which has characteristics of multi excitation sources, multi-path and multi-receptors. Model parameters are obtained by experimental and numerical analysis. Matlab is used to solve the model, and acceleration vibration response of three shells is got. To reduce the effect of mechanical vibration, the surface acceleration of pump is tested under low speed condition. Results show that the model can accurately reveal transmission law of fluid vibration and the accuracy is more than 90%.
