| 1 | Ultrasensitive and stable X-ray detection using zero-dimensional lead-free perovskites显示文摘Sensitive and reliable X-ray detectors are essential for medical radiography,industrial inspection and security screening.Lowering the radiation dose allows reduced health risks and increased frequency and fidelity of diagnostic technologies for earlier detection of disease and its recurrence.Three-dimensional(3 D)organic-inorganic hybrid lead halide perovskites are promising for direct X-ray detection-they show improved sensitivity compared to conventional X-ray detectors.However,their high and unstable dark current,caused by ion migration and high dark carrier concentration in the 3 D hybrid perovskites,limits their performance and long-term operation stability.Here we report ultrasensitive,stable X-ray detectors made using zero-dimensional(0 D)methylammonium bismuth iodide perovskite(MA3Bi2I9)single crystals.The 0 D crystal structure leads to a high activation energy(Ea)for ion migration(0.46 e V)and is also accompanied by a low dark carrier concentration(~10^6 cm^-3).The X-ray detectors exhibit sensitivity of 10,620μC Gy-1 air cm-2,a limit of detection(Lo D)of 0.62 nG yairs-1,and stable operation even under high applied biases;no deterioration in detection performance was observed following sensing of an integrated X-ray irradiation dose of^23,800 m Gyair,equivalent to>200,000 times the dose required for a single commercial X-ray chest radiograph.Regulating the ion migration channels and decreasing the dark carrier concentration in perovskites provide routes for stable and ultrasensitive X-ray detectors. | Xiaojia Zheng Wei Zhao Peng Wang Hairen Tan Makhsud I.Saidaminov Shujie Tie Ligao Chen Yufei Peng Jidong Long Wen-HuZhang | 2020 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,10: | 7 |
| 2 | A novel aminated polymeric adsorbent for removing refractory dissolved organic matter from landfill leachate treatment plant显示文摘Refractory dissolved organic matter (DOM) from landfill leachate treatment plant was with high dissolved organic carbon (DOC) content. An aminated polymeric adsorbent NDA-8 with tertiary amino groups and sufficient mesopore was synthesized, which exhibited high adsorption capacity to the DOM (raw water after coagulation). Resin NDA-8 performed better in the uptake of the DOM than resin DAX-8 and A100. Electrostatic attraction was considered as the decisive interaction between the adsorbent and adsorbate. Special attention was paid to the correlation between porous structure and adsorption capacity. The mesopore of NDA-8 played a crucial role during uptake of the DOM. In general, resin in chloride form performed a higher removal rate of DOC. | 4 | Metamodel-based multidisciplinary design optimization methods for aerospace system显示文摘The design of complex aerospace systems is a multidisciplinary design optimization(MDO)problem involving the interaction of multiple disciplines.However,because of the necessity of evaluating expensive black-box simulations,the enormous computational cost of solving MDO problems in aerospace systems has also become a problem in practice.To resolve this,metamodel-based design optimization techniques have been applied to MDO.With these methods,system models can be rapidly predicted using approximate metamodels to improve the optimization efficiency.This paper presents an overall survey of metamodel-based MDO for aerospace systems.From the perspective of aerospace system design,this paper introduces the fundamental methodology and technology of metamodel-based MDO,including aerospace system MDO problem formulation,metamodeling techniques,state-of-the-art metamodel-based multidisciplinary optimization strategies,and expensive black-box constraint-handling mechanisms.Moreover,various aerospace system examples are presented to illustrate the application of metamodel-based MDOs to practical engineering.The conclusions derived from this work are summarized in the final section of the paper.The survey results are expected to serve as guide and reference for designers involved in metamodel-based MDO in the field of aerospace engineering. | Renhe Shi Teng Long Nianhui Ye Yufei Wu Zhao Wei Zhenyu Liu | 2021 | Astrodynamics2021,5,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Conserved arginine residue in the membrane-spanning domain of HIV-1 gp41 is required for efficient membrane fusion显示文摘Despite the high mutation rate of HIV-1,the amino acid sequences of the membrane-spanning domain(MSD)of HIV-1 gp41 are well conserved.Arginine residues are rarely found in single membrane-spanning domains,yet an arginine residue,R696(the numbering is based on that of HXB2),is highly conserved in HIV-1 gp41.To examine the role of R696,it was mutated to K,A,I,L,D,E,N,and Q.Most of these substitutions did not affect the expression,processing or surface distribution of the envelope protein(Env).However,a syncytia formation assay showed that the substitution of R696 with amino acid residues other than K,a naturally observed mutation in the gp41 MSD,decreased fusion activity.Substitution with hydrophobic amino acid residues(A,I,and L)resulted in a modest decrease,while substitution with D or E,potentially negatively-charged residues,almost abolished the syncytia formation.All the fusion-defective mutants showed slower kinetics with the cell-based dual split protein(DSP)assay that scores the degree of membrane fusion based on pore formation between fusing cells.Interestingly,the D and E substitutions did show some fusion activity in the DSP assays,suggesting that proteins containing D or E substitutions retained some fusion pore-forming capability.However,nascent pores failed to develop,due probably to impaired activity in the pore enlargement process.Our data show the importance of this conserved arginine residue for efficient membrane fusion. | Yufei Long Fanxia Meng Naoyuki Kondo Aikichi Iwamoto Zene Matsuda | 2011 | Protein & Cell2011,2,5: | 1 |

| 16 | Less pressure contributes to gravity-driven membrane ultrafiltration with greater performance:Enhanced driving efficiency and reduced disinfection by-products formation potential显示文摘Gravity-driven membrane(GDM)systems have been well developed previously;however,impacts of driving(i.e.,transmembrane)pressure on their performance received little attention,which may infuence GDM performance.In this study,we evaluated 4 GDM systems via altering the transmembrane pressure from 50 mbar to 150 mbar with 2 groups,treating surface water in Beijing,China.Results showed that less driving pressure was more favorable.Specifically,compared to groups(150 mbar),groups under a pressure of 50 mbar were found to have greater normalized permeability and lower total resistance.During the whole operation period,the quality of effuents was gradually improved.For example,the removal efficiency of UV254was significantly improved;particularly,under low driving pressure,the removal efficiency of UV254in PES GDM system increased by 11.91%,as compared to the corresponding system under high driving pressure.This observation was consistent with the reduction on disinfection by-products(DBPs)formation potential;groups under 50 mbar achieved better DBPs potential control,indicating the advantages of lower driving pressure.Biofilms were analyzed and responsible for these differences,and distinct distributions of bacteria communities of two GDM systems under 50 and 150 mbar may be responsible for various humic-like substances removal efficiency.Overall,GDM systems under less pressure should be considered and expected to provide suggestions on the design of GDM systems in real applications. | Xiaoting Wu Yufei Li Zhaoyang Su Long Tian Muhammad Saboor Siddique Wenzheng Yu | 2024 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,3: | 0 |
