Controllable synthesis of highly crystallized mesoporous TiO2/WO3 heterojunctions for acetone gas sensing显示文摘Mesoporous semiconducting metal oxides(SMOs)heterojunctions are appealing sensors for gas detecting. However, due to the different hydrolysis and condensation mechanism of every metal precursor and the contradiction between high crystallinity and high surface area, the synthesis of mesoporous SMOs heterojunctions with highly o rdered mesostructures, highly crystallized frameworks, and high surface area remains a huge challenge. In this work,we develop a novel'acid-base pair'adjusted solvent evaporation induced self-assembly(EISA)strategy to prepare highly crystallized ordered mesoporous TiO2/WO3(OM-TiO2/WO3)heterojunctions.The WCl6 and titanium isopropoxide(TIPO)are used as the precursors, respectively, which function as the'acid-base pair',enabling the coassembly with the structure directing agent(PEO-b-PS)into highly ordered meso structures. In addition,PEO-b-PS can be converted to rigid carbon which can protect the meso structures from collapse during the crystallization process. The resultant OM-TiO2/WO3 heterojunctions possess primitive cubic mesostructures, large pore size(~21.1 nm),highly crystalline frameworks and surface area(~98 m2/g).As a sensor for acetone, the obtained OM-TiO2/WO3 show excellent re sponse/recovery perfo rmance(3 s/5 s),good linear dependence, repeatability, selectivity, and long-term stability(35 days). | Changyao Wang Yuhui Li Pengpeng Qiu Linlin Duan Wei Bi Yan Chen Dingyi Guo Yupu Liu Wei Luo Yonghui Deng | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,5: | 4
Relationship between hyperlipidemia and the gut microbiome of rats, characterized using high-throughput sequencing显示文摘Objective:To determine the effects of a high-fat diet(HFD)on the gut microbiome in rats,to explore the relationship between the intestinal flora and blood lipid profile. Methods:SpragueeDawley rats were fed an HFD for four weeks to induce hyperlipidemia, then 16S rRNA sequencing was used to compare the intestinal flora between hyperlipidemic and control diet-fed rats. Results:The microbiome of rats fed an HFD for four weeks differed from that of control diet-fed rats.Bacterial species that were less abundant were most affected by HFD feeding, among which were many pathogenic species, which became significantly more abundant.Eighteen genera were present in significantly different numbers in hyperlipidemic and control rats, more than half of which have been linked to infection and inflammation,or energy intake and obesity. The results indicated a type of stress response of the flora to a high-fat environment. In addition, the age of the rats tended to influence the gut microbial composition. Conclusion:These findings suggest that HFD may induce hyperlipidemia by affecting the gut microbial composition.Changes in the abundance of pro-inflammatory and pathogenic bacteria, and those that influence energy intake and obesity, may be important mediators of this. | Yaqi Li Quantao Ma Jingkang Wang Pengfei Li Long Cheng Yongcheng An Yuhui Duan Hongyu Dai Ting Wang Baosheng Zhao | 2020 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2020,7,2: | 3

ERF5.1 modulates carotenoid accumulation by interacting with CCD4.1 in Lycium显示文摘Carotenoids are important natural pigments and have medical and health functions for humans.Carotenoid cleavage dioxygenase 4(CCD4)and ethylene responsive factor(ERF)participate in carotenoid metabolism, but their roles in Lycium have not been discovered. Here,we annotated LbCCDs from the Lycium reference genome and found that LbCCD4.1 expression was significantly correlated with the carotenoid metabolites during Lycium five fruit developmental stages.Over-expression of LbCCD4.1 in NQ’s leaves resulted in a series of significantly lower contents of carotenoid metabolites,includingβ-carotene andβ-cryptoxanthin.Moreover,LbERF5.1,a transcription factor belonging to the ERF family that was located in the nucleus, was isolated.Significant reductions in the carotenoids, especially lutein, violaxanthin and their derivatives, were observed in over-expressing ERF5.1 transgenic NQ’s leaves.Over-expression or virus-induced gene silencing of LbERF5.1 in NQ’s leaves induced a consistent up-or down-expression,respectively,of LbCCD4.1.Furthermore,yeast one-hybrid and dual-luciferase reporter assays showed that ERF5.1 interacted with the promoter of CCD4.1 to increase its expression, and LbERF5.1 could bind to any one of the three predicted binding sites in the promoter of LbCCD4.1.A transcriptome analysis of LbERF5.1 and LbCCD4.1 over-expressed lines showed similar global transcript expression, and geranylgeranyl diphosphate synthase, phytoene synthase,lycopeneδ-cyclase cytochrome, cytochrome P450-type monooxygenase 97A,cytochrome P450-type monooxygenase 97C,and zeaxanthin epoxidase in the carotenoid biosynthesis pathway were differentially expressed. In summary,we uncovered a novel molecular mechanism of carotenoid accumulation that involved an interaction between ERF5.1 and CCD4.1,which may be used to enhance carotenoid in Lycium. | Jianhua Zhao Yuhui Xu Haoxia Li Xinlei Zhu Yue Yin Xiyan Zhang Xiaoya Qin Jun Zhou Linyuan Duan Xiaojie Liang Ting Huang Bo Zhang Ru Wan Zhigang Shi Youlong Cao Wei An | 2023 | Horticulture Research2023,10,12: | 0
Crystal Structure and Host-Guest Binding Ability of Three Types of Pillar[5]arenes显示文摘A systematic research of the structural characterization and the host-guest binding abilities between three types of pillar[5]arenes 3-5(3 for Structure Type I,4 for Structure Type II and 5 for Structure Type III)is carried out by 1H NMR measurements and X-ray study. The results show that the configurations or symmetry of their cavities not only have large difference in these three types of pillar[5]arenes,but also have more or less variations even in the same structure type or the same host locked different guests such as crystals of 3a-3b,4a-4d.On the other hand, the complexation behavior of pillar[5]arenes with 1,4-dibromobutane(DBB)is affected by the different symmetri-cal structure or substituents on the rings. | Luzhi Liu Wengui Duan Yuhui Kou Lingyun Wang Herbert Meier Derong Cao | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2015,33,3: | 0
Correlation analysis of intestinal flora and pathological process of type 2 diabetes mellitus显示文摘Objective: To observe the relationship between the different stages of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM)and the intestinal flora and verify its underlying mechanism. Methods: T2DM rats were generated by high-fat diet(HFD) combined with intraperitoneal streptozotocin(STZ) injection. The rats were divided into four groups: the control group(fed with normal feed for1 month), the HFD group(fed with HFD for 1 month), the T2DM group(HFD combined with STZ and blood glucose ≥11.1 m M), and the unformed T2DM model(Un-mod) group(HFD combined with STZ and blood glucose <11.1 m M). Feces were collected, and bacterial communities in the fecal samples were analyzed by 16S r RNA gene sequencing. The content of short-chain fatty acids(SCFAs) in feces was measured by gas chromatography. Western blot and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction were used to detect the expression of G protein-coupled receptor 41(GPR41) and GPR43.Results: At different stages of T2DM, the intestinal flora and SCFAs content of rats were significantly decreased(all P <.05). Our results indicated that g__Prevotella had a significant negative correlation, and g__Ruminococcus_torques_group and g__lachnoclastic had a significant positive correlation with blood glucose. The content of SCFAs, in particular acetate and butyrate, in rat feces of different stages of T2DM were significantly reduced, as well as GPR41 and GPR43 expression. The results in the Un-mod group were similar to the T2DM group, and the expression of GPR41 and GPR43 proteins were significantly higher than those in the T2DM group(both P <.001).Conclusion: The intestinal flora-SCFAs-GPR41/GPR43 network may be important in the development of T2DM. Decreasing blood glucose levels by regulating the intestinal flora may become a new therapeutic strategy for T2DM, which has very important clinical and social values. | Yongcheng An Yuhui Duan Hongyu Dai Chen Wang Lu Shi Changhao He Yinglan Lv Huimin Li Shuhang Dai Baosheng Zhao | 2022 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2022,9,2: | 0
Mulberry leaf flavonoids activate BAT and induce browning of WAT to improve type 2 diabetes via regulating the AMPK/SIRT1/PGC-1α signaling pathway显示文摘Mulberry (Morus alba L.) leaf is a well-established traditional Chinese botanical and culinary resource. It has found widespread application in the management of diabetes. The bioactive constituents of mulberry leaf, specifically mulberry leaf flavonoids (MLFs), exhibit pronounced potential in the amelioration of type 2 diabetes (T2D). This potential is attributed to their ability to safeguard pancreatic β cells, enhance insulin resistance, and inhibit α-glucosidase activity. Our antecedent research findings underscore the substantial therapeutic efficacy of MLFs in treating T2D. However, the precise mechanistic underpinnings of MLF’s anti-T2D effects remain the subject of inquiry. Activation of brown/beige adipocytes is a novel and promising strategy for T2D treatment. In the present study, our primary objective was to elucidate the impact of MLFs on adipose tissue browning in db/db mice and 3T3-L1 cells and elucidate its underlying mechanism. The results manifested that MLFs reduced body weight and food intake, alleviated hepatic steatosis, improved insulin sensitivity, and increased lipolysis and thermogenesis in db/db mice. Moreover, MLFs activated brown adipose tissue (BAT) and induced the browning of inguinal white adipose tissue (IWAT) and 3T3-L1 adipocytes by increasing the expressions of brown adipocyte marker genes and proteins such as uncoupling protein 1 (UCP1) and beige adipocyte marker genes such as transmembrane protein 26 (Tmem26), thereby promoting mitochondrial biogenesis. Mechanistically, MLFs facilitated the activation of BAT and the induction of WAT browning to ameliorate T2D primarily through the activation of AMP-activated protein kinase (AMPK)/sirtuin 1 (SIRT1)/peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-gamma coactivator 1α (PGC-1α) signaling pathway. These findings highlight the unique capacity of MLF to counteract T2D by enhancing BAT activation and inducing browning of IWAT, thereby ameliorating glucose and lipid metabolism disorders. As such, MLFs emerge as a prospective and innovative browning agent for the treatment of T2D. | CHENG Long SHI Lu HE Changhao WANG Chen LV Yinglan LI Huimin AN Yongcheng DUAN Yuhui DAI Hongyu ZHANG Huilin HUANG Yan FU Wanxin SUN Weiguang ZHAO Baosheng | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Natural Medicines2023,21,11: | 0
