2Effect of reduced energy density of close-up diets on dry matter intake,lactation performance and energy balance in multiparous Holstein cows显示文摘Energy intake prepartum is critically important to health,milk performance,and profitability of dairy cows.The objective of this study was to determine the effect of reduced energy density of close-up diets on dry matter intake(DMI),lactation performance and energy balance(EB) in multiparous Holstein cows which were housed in a free-stall bam and fed for ad libitum intake.Thirty-nine dry cows were blocked and assigned randomly to three groups fed a high energy density diet[HD,n = 13;6.8 MJ of net energy for lactation(NE_L)/kg;14.0%crude protein(CP)],or a middle energy density diet(MD,n = 13;6.2 MJ NE_L/kg;14.0%CP),or a low energy density diet(LD,n = 13;5.4 MJ NE_L/kg;14.0%CP) from d 21 before expected day of calving.After parturition,all cows were fed the same lactation diet to d 70 in milk(DIM).The DMI and NE_L intake prepartum were decreased by the reduced energy density diets(P< 0.05).The LD group consumed 1.3 kg/d(DM) more diet compared with HD group in the last 24 h before calving.The milk yield and the postpartum DMI were increased by the reduced energy density diet prepartum(P< 0.05).The changes in BCS and BW prepartum and postpartum were not affected by prepartum diets.HD group had higher milk fat content and lower lactose content compared with LD group during the first 3 wk of lactation(P< 0.05).The energy consumption for HD,MD and LD groups were 149.8%,126.2%and 101.1%of their calculated energy requirements prepartum(P< 0.05),and 72.7%,73.1%and 75.2%during the first 4 wk postpartum,respectively.In conclusion,the low energy density prepartum diet was effective in controlling NE_L intake prepartum,and was beneficial in increasing DMI and milk yield,and alleviating negative EB postpartum.Wenming Huang Yujia Tian Yajing Wang Aminamu Simayi Amingguli Yasheng Zhaohai Wu Shengli Li Zhijun Cao 2015Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2015,6,1:1

4Polarization evolution dynamics of dissipative soliton fiber lasers显示文摘Dissipative solitons emerge as stable pulse solutions of nonintegrable and nonconservative nonlinear physical systems, owing to a balance of nonlinearity, dispersion, and loss/gain. A considerable research effort has been dedicated to characterizing amplitude and phase evolutions in the spatiotemporal dynamics of dissipative solitons emerging from fiber lasers. Yet, the picture of the buildup process of dissipative solitons in fiber lasers is incomplete in the absence of corresponding information about the polarization evolution. Here, we characterize probabilistic polarization distributions in the buildup of dissipative solitons in a net-normal dispersion fiber laser system, mode-locked by single-wall carbon nanotubes. The output optical spectra under different pump powers are filtered by a tunable filter, and are detected by a polarization state analyzer. The laser system operates from random amplified spontaneous emission into a stable dissipative soliton state as the cavity gain is progressively increased. Correspondingly, the state of polarization of each spectral wavelength converges towards a fixed point.To reveal the invariant polarization relationship among the various wavelength components of the laser output field, the phase diagram of the ellipticity angle and the spherical orientation angle is introduced. We find that,within the central spectral region of the dissipative soliton, the state of polarization evolves with frequency by tracing a uniform arc on the Poincaré sphere, whereas in the edges of the dissipative soliton spectrum, the state of polarization abruptly changes its path. Increasing cavity gain leads to spectral broadening, accompanied by a random scattering of the state of polarization of newly generated frequencies. Further increases of pump power result in dissipative soliton explosions, accompanied by the emergence of a new type of optical polarization rogue waves. 6Acousto-optic tunable ultrafast laser with vector-mode-coupling-induced polarization conversion显示文摘Acousto-optic interactions, employed in the ultrafast laser regulation,possess remarkable advantages for fast tuning performance in a wide spectral range. Here, we propose an ultrafast fiber laser whose wideband tunability is provided by an acousto-optic structure fabricated with an etched single-mode fiber. Because of the laser polarization conversion induced by the coupling between the core and cladding vector modes in the etched fiber,a band-pass characteristic of the acousto-optic interaction is achieved to effectively regulate the inner-cavity gain range. 7Aminopeptidase Play a Critical Role in the Accumulation of Free Amino Acids in Abalone(Haliotis discus hannai)During Cold Storage显示文摘Abalones reveal unique taste after processing,mainly because of their abundant free amino acids(FAAs)and nucleotides.FAAs are nutrition components that can contribute to the unique taste.However,which factor(s)is responsible for the accumulation of FAAs still need further studies.To analyze the production of FAAs,we studied the variation of FAAs during 7 days of storage at 4℃.The content of taste-active amino acids,including Asp,Glu,Ser,and Gly increased by 1.7-fold,2.0-fold,3.0-fold,and 8.4-fold,respectively.The relative activity of cathepsin L and aminopeptidase(AP)increased significantly during the cold storage period.To identify AP in abalone and its function in mediating the production of FAAs,an aminopeptidase with wide substrate specificity was then extracted and purified from abalone muscle to homogeneity.Purified AP with a molecular mass of 100 kDa exhibited its maximum activity at 30℃,pH 7.5,and was further confirmed by LC-MS.Bestatin specifically inhibited the activity of AP,and metalloproteinase inhibitors EDTA,EGTA and 1,10-phenanthroline also suppressed its activity to different degrees.Based on its highest activity to substrate Leu-MCA and its peptide sequences,the purified enzyme was identified as leucine aminopeptidase(LAP).Our present study indicated the essential role of AP for FAAs accumulation during cold storage of abalone.REN Qiuying WANG Yujia SUN Sha ZHANG Lingjing SUN Lechang WENG Ling LIU Guangming CAO Minjie 2023Journal of Ocean University of China2023,22,4:0
8Vacuum Filling Simulation with Combined Lagranian and VOF Method显示文摘Jetting succeeded by accumulation is the characteristic of the vacuum filling,which is different from the conventional pressure-driven flow.In order to simulate this kind of flow,a three-dimensional theoretical model in terms of incompressible and viscous flow is established,and an iterative method combined with finite element method(FEM)is proposed to solve the flow problem.The Lagranian-VOF method is constructed to trace the jetting and accumulated flow fronts.Based on the proposed model and algorithm,a simulation program is developed to predict the velocity,pressure,temperature,and advancement progress.To validate the model and algorithm,a visual experimental equipment for vacuum filling is designed and construted.The vacuum filling experiments with different viscous materials and negative pressures were conducted and compared with the corresponding simulations.The results show the flow front shape closely depends on the fluid viscosity and less relates to the vacuum pressure.Yujia Chen Maoxuan Cai Shixun Zhang Na Zhang Wei Cao 2022Journal of Mechanical Materials and Mechanics Research2022,5,1:0
9A comprehensive review on semiconductor-based photocatalysts toward the degradation of persistent pesticides显示文摘Pesticides refer to the chemicals to regulate plant growth and control pests used in agriculture.However,the extensive use of pesticides causes serious pollution that threatens the ecological environment and human health.Photocatalytic degradation of pesticides has become a promising way to deal with pesticide pollution.In this review,pesticides are classified according to the different targets and chemical structures.The recent developments on semiconductor-based photocatalysts including metal oxides,metal oxyhalides,carbon nitrides,metal sulfides were reviewed for degradation of pesticides.Importantly,several modification strategies to improve the photocatalytic performance are described such as doping,heterojunction construction,defect engineering,with special emphasis on anchoring single atom catalyst.Moreover,extensive efforts should be made to indepth understand the photodegradation mechanism by monitoring key intermediates.Our perspectives on the key challenges and future directions of developing high-performance semiconductor-based photocatalysts for pesticide degradation are elaborated.Jing Zhu Min Liao Chen Zhao Mengmeng Liu Ali Han Chunna Zhu Yujia Sun Meng Zhao Sheng Ye Haiqun Cao 2023Nano Research2023,16,5:0

112-O-β-D-Glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid,an ascorbic acid derivative isolated from the fruits of Lycium barbarum L.,ameliorates high fructose-induced neuroinflammation in mice:involvement of gut microbiota and leaky gut显示文摘Western diet(rich in highly refined sugar and fat)can induce a range of metabolic dysfunctions in animals and humans,including neuroinflammation and cognitive function decline.Neuroinflammation and cognitive impairment,two critical pathological characteristics of Alzheimer’s disease,have been closely associated with microbial alteration via the gut-brain axis.Thus,the present study aimed to investigate the influence of 2-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-L-ascorbic acid(AA-2βG)isolated from the fruits of Lycium barbarum on preventing the high-fructose diet(HFrD)induced neuroinflammation in mice.It was found that AA-2βG prevented HFr D-induced cognitive deficits.AA-2βG also predominantly enhanced the gut barrier integrity,decreased lipopolysaccharide entry into the circulation,which subsequently countered the activation of glial cells and neuroinflammatory response.These beneficial effects were transmissible by horizontal fecal microbiome transplantation,transferring from AA-2βG fed mice to HFr D fed mice.Additionally,AA-2βG exerted neuroprotective effects involving the enrichment of Lactobacillus and Akkermansia,potentially beneficial intestinal bacteria.The present study provided the evidence that AA-2βG could improve indices of cognition and neuroinflammmation via modulating gut dybiosis and preventing leaky gut.As a potential functional food ingredient,AA-2βG may be applied to attenuate neuroinflammation associated with Western-style diets.Wei Dong Yujia Peng Guijie Chen Zhiyong Xie Weiqi Xu Wangting Zhou Jia Mi Lu Lu Yi Sun Xiaoxiong Zeng Youlong Cao Yamei Yan 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
