| 1 | Epidemiology of urolithiasis in Asia显示文摘In Asia,about 1%-19.1% of the population suffer fromurolithiasis.However,due to variations in socio-economic status and geographic locations,the prevalence and incidence have changed in different countries or regions over the years.The research for risk factors of urinary tract stones is of predominant importance.In this review,we find the prevalence of urolithiasis is 5%-19.1% in West Asia,Southeast Asia,South Asia,aswellas somedevelopedcountries(SouthKorea and Japan),whereas,it is only 1%e8%inmost part of East Asia and North Asia.The recurrence rate ranges from 21% to 53% after 3e5 years.Calciumoxalate(75%-90%)is themost frequent component of calculi,followed by uric acid(5%-20%),calciumphosphate(6%-13%),struvite(2%-15%),apatite(1%)and cystine(0.5%-1%).The incidence of urolithiasis reaches its peak in population agedover 30 years.Males aremore likely to suffer fromurinary calculi.Because of different dietary habits or genetic background,differences of prevalence among races or nationalities also exist.Geneticmutation of specific locus may contribute to the formation of different kinds of calculi.Dietary habits(westernized dietary habits and less fluid intake),as well as climatic factors(hot temperature andmany hours of exposure to sunshine)play a crucial role in the development of stones.Other diseases,especially metabolic syndrome,may also contribute to urinary tract stones. | Yu Liu Yuntian Chen Banghua Liao Deyi Luo Kunjie Wang Hong Li Guohua Zeng | 2018 | Asian Journal of Urology2018,5,4: | 24 |
| 2 | Characteristics and sedimentary processes of lamina-controlled sand-particle imbricate structure in deposits on Lingshan Island, Qingdao, China显示文摘Imbricate structure is a common sedimentary structure and is well developed in sandy sediments.Here,we report a laminacontrolled fine-sand-particle imbricate structure in a set of very fine grained sedimentary rocks(fine sandstone,siltstone,and mudstone)at the Dockyard and Qianceng Cliff areas of Lingshan Island,Qingdao,Shandong,China.Sets of up to 300 laminae are found in stratigraphic profiles in these areas.The laminae are generally less than 1 mm thick,with most being 0.3–0.4 mm thick and the thinnest being<0.1 mm.The dip angle of the imbricate structure varies widely,between 0°and 90°,with an average dip angle of about 40°–50°,which is higher than that of imbricate riverbed gravels(about 34°).The dip angle is a function of the shape and sorting of the particles,as well as the hydrodynamic conditions under which these fine-grained sediments were deposited.Several profiles show well-developed multiscale,soft-sediment deformation structures.Flute casts,load casts,and groove casts are also common.Fragments of carbon remains occur widely and commonly constitute stringers several millimeters thick and up to 10 cm long,together with fine clasts.Vitrain lenticles are also common.Based on the imbricate structure of the Lingshan Island deposits,it is shown that in addition to paleocurrent analysis,the imbricate structure can be used to infer information about fluid properties,transport characteristics,and sedimentary processes of the depositional environment.A near-bottom underflow,either of authigenic origin or derived from cold river water in winter in a delta interdistributary bay or delta-front environment,is inferred to have provided the hydrodynamic setting in which this imbricate structure formed.The imbricate structure,together with other sedimentary structures and features,shows that the sedimentary rocks on Lingshan Island were deposited in an inland,shallow-water environment,such as a delta,and not in a deep-water or submarine continental-slope environment. | SHAO ZhuFu ZHONG JianHua LI Yong MAO Cui LIU ShengXin NI LiangTian TIAN Yuan CUI XinYing LIU YunTian WANG XiaoNan LI WeiHua LIN GangShan | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,5: | 11 |

| 6 | Comparative transcriptome analysis uncovers the regulatory functions of long noncoding RNAs in fruit development and color changes of Fragaria pentaphylla显示文摘To investigate the molecular mechanism underlying fruit development and color change,comparative transcriptome analysis was employed to generate transcriptome profiles of two typical wild varieties of Fragaria pentaphylla at three fruit developmental stages(green fruit stage,turning stage,and ripe fruit stage).We identified 25,699 long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)derived from 25,107 loci in the F.pentaphylla fruit transcriptome,which showed distinct stage-and genotype-specific expression patterns.Time course analysis detected a large number of differentially expressed protein-coding genes and lncRNAs associated with fruit development and ripening in both of the F.pentaphylla varieties.The target genes downregulated in the late stages were enriched in terms of photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis,suggesting that lncRNAs may act as negative regulators to suppress photosynthesis and cell wall organization or biogenesis during fruit development and ripening of F.pentaphylla.Pairwise comparisons of two varieties at three developmental stages identified 365 differentially expressed lncRNAs in total.Functional annotation of target genes suggested that lncRNAs in F.pentaphylla may play roles in fruit color formation by regulating the expression of structural genes or regulatory factors.Construction of the regulatory network further revealed that the low expression of Fra a and CHS may be the main cause of colorless fruit in F.pentaphylla. | Lijun Bai Qing Chen Leiyu Jiang Yuanxiu Lin Yuntian Ye Peng Liu Xiaorong Wang Haoru Tang | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 5 |

| 8 | Immunodiagnostic efficacy of detection of Schistosoma japonicum human infections in China:a meta analysis显示文摘Objective:To assess the diagnostic efficacy of the currently most widely used indirect hemagglutination assay(IHA) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA) for detection of Schistosoma japonicum human infections.Methods:A comprehensive search was undertaken from China National Knowledge Infrastructure,Wanfang Database.VIP Database,PubMed. Cochrane Library,Science Citation Index Expanded.Proquest,and the inclusion and exclusion criteria were strictly settled.The funnel plot was used to assess the publication bias.Cochran’s Q test was employed to measure the homogeneity between studies,a summary receiver operating characteristic(SROC) curve was used to compare the diagnostic accuracy between the IHA and ELISA qualitatively by means of the Weighted Least Square method,the Ordinary Least Square method and the Robust regression method,and the diagnostic odds ratio(DOR) was drawn to compare the accuracy quantitatively.Results:Out of 785 publications,19 papers were eventually selected for analysis.Literature finality assessment indicated that minor publication bias existed in studies pertaining IHA test,but no bias was found in literatures regarding ELISA test.The heterogeneity test showed a heterogeneity between studies was present(χ~2 =466.07 and 34.67. both P values<0.0001).The areas under the SROC curves of IHA were all higher than that of ELISA test using the three methods(Weighted Least Square method:0.766 vs.0.695.Ordinary Least Square method:0.826 vs.0.741.Robust regression:0.815 vs.0.715).The TPR* values for IHA and EUSA were 0.710.0.759.0.749.and 0.650.0.686 and 0.666.respectively,and OR values were 5.997.9.937.8.893.and 3.432.4.784 and 3.959.respectively.The DOR of IHA was 9.41(95% CI:4.88-18.18).and 4.78(95%CI:3.21-7.13) for ELISA.Conclusions:All above results revealed that the diagnostic performance of IHA is better than that of ELISA.However,taking into account their unsatisfactory diagnostic value in areas with low infection intensity,a search for a better diagnostic test that can be applied in field situations in China should be given high priority. | Wei Wang Youzi Li Hongjun Li Yuntian Xing Guoli Qu Jianrong Dai Yousheng Liang | 2012 | Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,1: | 4 |
| 9 | Effect of texture on deformation behavior of heterogeneous Mg-13Gd alloy with strength-ductility synergy显示文摘Heterostructure metals as a new class of materials can effectively break the traditional strength–ductility trade-off dilemma. In this study, the extruded sheet with the small extrusion ratio(ER) of 3.9(ER3.9)presented a heterogeneous lamella structure(HLS) and texture, where the fine dynamical recrystallized(DRXed) grains formed a random texture and coarse un-DRXed grains exhibited a strong basal texture.The ER3.9 sample presented an excellent combination of strength and ductility. The texture strengthening in coarse grains and hetero-deformation induced(HDI) strengthening contributed to the enhanced strength of the ER3.9 sample besides grain refinement. The improving ductility mainly stems from the weakened texture in fine grains. Interestingly, in coarse grains, the strong basal texture, the occurrence of cross slip, low stacking fault energy(SFE), and dislocation pinned by precipitates weaken the HDI hardening effect. While the traditional dislocation hardening mainly generated by fine grains dominates overall strain hardening. Meanwhile, the activation of non-basal slips, especially pyramidal slip,and the generation of cross slips in fine grains benefit for coordinating plastic deformation. The ability for coordinate plastic deformation in fine grains is higher than that of coarse grains, which was confirmed by the digital image correlation technology. | 12 | Hidden-symmetry-enforced nexus points of nodal lines in layer-stacked dielectric photonic crystals显示文摘It was recently demonstrated that the connectivities of bands emerging from zero frequency in dielectric photonic crystals are distinct from their electronic counterparts with the same space groups.We discover that in an AB-layerstacked photonic crystal composed of anisotropic dielectrics,the unique photonic band connectivity leads to a new kind of symmetry-enforced triply degenerate points at the nexuses of two nodal rings and a Kramers-like nodal line.The emergence and intersection of the line nodes are guaranteed by a generalized 1/4-period screw rotation symmetry of Maxwell’s equations.The bands with a constant kz and iso-frequency surfaces near a nexus point both disperse as a spin-1 Dirac-like cone,giving rise to exotic transport features of light at the nexus point.We show that spin-1 conical diffraction occurs at the nexus point,which can be used to manipulate the charges of optical vortices.Our work reveals that Maxwell’s equations can have hidden symmetries induced by the fractional periodicity of the material tensor components and hence paves the way to finding novel topological nodal structures unique to photonic systems. | Zhongfei Xiong Ruo-Yang Zhang Rui Yu C.T.Chan Yuntian Chen | 2020 | Light(Science & Applications)2020,9,1: | 3 |

| 14 | MicroRNA-7-5p Inhibits Migration,Invasion and Metastasis of Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma by Inhibiting MyD88显示文摘Background and Aims:Intrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma(ICC)is a malignant tumor derived from intrahepatic bile duct epithelial cells.Accumulating studies report that microRNAs are widely involved in tumor migration and metastasis by regulation of target genes.miR-7-5p has been confirmed to inhibit tumor metastasis and to be related to prognosis for several malignant tumors.Our study investigated the underlying functions of miR-7-5p in ICC.Methods:The expression of miR-7-5p in ICC tissues but also in ICC cell lines was analyzed by real-time PCR.By analyzing the relationship between the clinicopathological parameters of 60 ICC patients and the expression level of miR-7-5p,the effect of miR-7-5p on the prognosis was clarified.After transfected with miR-7-5p mimics or miR-7-5p inhibitor,cell counting kit-8 assay was applied to evaluate the cells proliferation,flow cytometry was applied to analyze the cells apoptosis,wound healing assay and transwell chamber assay were applied to analyze the cell invasion and migration.A luciferase reporter assay was identified the relationship of miR-7-5p and myeloid differentiation factor 88(MyD88).Western blotting was used to analyze the proteins expression.And immunochemistry was performed to determine the expression of MYD88 in ICC tissues.Results:Our data showed the expression of miR-7-5p was down-regulated not only in ICC tissues but also in ICC cell lines compared with normal controls.Low expression of miR-7-5p was notably associated with poor prognosis in ICC patients.miR-7-5p negatively regulated cell proliferation,migration,invasion and apoptosis in ICC cells.We further verified that MyD88 was a novel target of miR-7-5p and was significantly overexpressed in ICC tissues.Overexpression of MyD88 counteracted the effects of miR-7-5p in ICC cells.Conclusions:The present findings suggest that miR-7-5p plays a pivotal role in ICC invasion by regulating MyD88.Ampliative insight into the key factors of ICC invasion may result in the development of new treatment options for ICC. | Yi Tang Zhenyong Tang Jianrong Yang Tianqi Liu Yuntian Tang | 2021 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2021,9,6: | 3 |
| 15 | Chemo-damage modeling and cracking analysis of AAR-affected concrete dams显示文摘A chemo-damage model for cracking analysis of concrete dams affected by alkali-aggregate reaction (AAR) is proposed, which combines the plastic-damage model for concrete with the AAR kinetics law. The chemo-damage model is first verified by a stress-free AAR expansion test. The expansion deformation obtained from the simulation is in good agreement with the measurement, demonstrating that the proposed model has a sufficient accuracy to predict the expansion of AAR-affected concrete. Subsequently, the expansion deformation and cracking process of the AAR-affected Fontana gravity dam is analyzed. It shows that permanent displacements in the upstream direction and the vertical direction are gradually increased during the long-term operation period, and that their maximal values reach 1.6 and 3.6 cm, respectively. A crack is observed on the wall in the foundation drainage gallery, and extends towards the downstream face of the dam. With the further development of AAR, another crack forms on the downstream face, and then intersects with the gallery crack to penetrate the downstream side profile of the dam. The third crack occurs in the upstream side wall of the gallery and propagates a short distance towards the upstream face of the dam.
