2Optimal operation of electricity, natural gas and heat systems considering integrated demand responses and diversified storage devices显示文摘In recent years, the increasing penetration level of renewable generation and combined heat and power(CHP) technology in power systems is leading to significant changes in energy production and consumption patterns. As a result, the integrated planning and optimal operation of a multi-carrier energy(MCE) system have aroused widespread concern for reasonable utilization of multiple energy resources and efficient accommodation of renewable energy sources. In this context, an integrated demand response(IDR) scheme is designed to coordinate the operation of power to gas(P2 G) devices, heat pumps,diversified storage devices and flexible loads within an extended modeling framework of energy hubs. Subsequently, the optimal dispatch of interconnected electricity,natural gas and heat systems is implemented considering the interactions among multiple energy carriers by utilizing the bi-level optimization method. 3Generalized congestion of power systems:insights from the massive blackouts in India显示文摘The Indian power system underwent two separate massive blackouts on 30th and 31st of July 2012.These blackouts exposed a series of inherent problems underlying the power system of India,such as its generation planning,transmission planning,grid infrastructure,management systems,primary energy resources,environmental constraints,electricity market,and information technology,which together aggravate the massive blackouts.These factors which affect the adequacy and security of the power supply in a similar manner as the transmission congestion of physical grids does,can be called by a generic term as generalized congestion.Competitive manipulations and“game-playing”between various interested parties further intensifies these congestions.Here,from the perspective of generalized congestions,the paper reflects the inevitability of India’s massive blackouts,discusses occasional effects of trigger events,inherent evolution law of blackouts and the enlightenment on power industry in China,and explores risk control measures to defend blackouts in China.The positive role of strong smart grid in insuring energy and environment security is highlighted.Yusheng XUE Shijie XIAO 2013Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2013,1,2:26

5Elimination of senescent cells byβ-galactosidase-targeted prodrug attenuates inflammation and restores physical function in aged mice显示文摘Cellular senescence,a persistent state of cell cycle arrest,accumulates in aged organisms,contributes to tissue dysfunction,and drives age-related phenotypes.The clearance of senescent cells is expected to decrease chronic,low-grade inflammation and improve tissue repair capacity,thus attenuating the decline of physical function in aged organisms.However,selective and effective clearance of senescent cells of different cell types has proven challenging.Herein,we developed a prodrug strategy to design a new compound based on the increased activity of lysosomalβ-galactosidase(β-gal),a primary characteristic of senescent cells.Our prodrug SSK1 is specifically activated byβ-gal and eliminates mouse and human senescent cells independently of senescence inducers and cell types.In aged mice,our compound effectively cleared senescent cells in different tissues,decreased the senescence-and age-associated gene signatures,attenuated low-grade local and systemic inflammation,and restored physical function.Our results demonstrate that lysosomalβ-gal can be effectively leveraged to selectively eliminate senescent cells,providing a novel strategy to develop anti-aging interventions.Yusheng Cai Huanhuan Zhou Yinhua Zhu Qi Sun Yin Ji Anqi Xue Yuting Wang Wenhan Chen Xiaojie Yu Longteng Wang Han Chen Cheng Li Tuoping Luo Hongkui Deng 2020Cell Research2020,30,7:12
6Operational reliability evaluation of restructured power systems with wind power penetration utilizing reliability network equivalent and time-sequential simulation approaches显示文摘In the last two decades,the wind power generation has been rapidly and widely developed in many regions and countries for tackling the problems of environmental pollution and sustainability of energy supply.However,the high share of intermittent and fluctuating wind power production has also increased the burden of system operator for securing power system reliability during the operational phase.Moreover,the power system restructuring and deregulation have not only introduced the competition for reducing cost but also changed the strategy of reliability evaluation and management of power systems.The conventional long-term reliability evaluation techniques have been well developed,which have been more focused on planning and expansion rather than operation of power systems.This paper proposes a new technique for evaluating operational reliabilities of restructured power systems with high wind power penetration.The proposed technique is based on the combination of the reliability network equivalent and time-sequential simulation approaches.The operational reliability network equivalents are developed to represent reliability models of wind farms,conventional generation and reserve provides,fast reserve providers and transmission network in restructured power systems.A contingency management schema for real time operation considering its coupling with the dayahead market is proposed.The time-sequential Monte Carlo simulation is used to model the chronological characteristics of corresponding reliability network equivalents.Asimplified method is also developed in the simulation procedures for improving the computational efficiency.The proposed technique can be used to evaluate customers’reliabilities considering high penetration of wind power during the power system operation in the deregulated environment.Yi DING Lin CHENG Yonghong ZHANG Yusheng XUE 2014Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2014,2,4:11

8Characteristics and formation mechanism of regional haze episodes in the Pearl River Delta of China显示文摘To investigate the characteristics and the specific mechanism of continuous haze,comprehensive measurements were conducted from 15 October to 19 November in the Atmospheric Environment Monitoring Super-Station in Heshan of Guangdong province.Five haze episodes occurred in October and November 2014 in the Pearl River Delta(PRD)region. The meteorological parameters, gas data, chemical compositions, and optical parameters of the aerosols were obtained. Among these events, the second haze episode,with the highest concentration of PM2.5 of 187.51 μg/m^3, was the most severe. NO^3-was always higher than SO_4^(2-), which indicated that motor vehicles played an important role in the haze, even though the oxidation rate from SO_2 to SO_4^(2-)was faster than that of NOXto NO_3^-. The difference between the hourly averages of Na+and K+during the haze episode and clean days was small, implying that straw combustion and sea salt had no significant effect on the occurrence of haze, and the backward trajectories of the air masses also conformed with this result. The air pollutants were difficult to disperse because of the significant decrease in the planetary boundary layer(PBL) height. 10Multi-agent modeling and analysis of EV users' travel willingness based on an integrated causal/statistical/behavioral model显示文摘An electric vehicle(EV) centred ecosystem has not yet been formed, the existing limited statistic data are far from enough for the analysis of EV users' travel and charge behaviors, which however tends to be affected by many certain and uncertain factors. An experimental economics(EE)-based simulation method can be used to analyze thebehaviors of key participants in a system. However, it is restricted by the system size, experimental site and the number of qualified human participants. Therefore, this method is hard to be adopted for the behavioral analysis of a large number of human participants. In this paper, a new method combining a questionnaire statistics and the EEbased simulation is proposed. The causal relationship is considered in the design of the questionnaires and data extraction, then a multi-agent modeling integration method is introduced in the EE-based simulation, which enables the integration of causal/statistical/behavioral models into the multi-agent framework to reflect the EV users' travel willingness statistically. 11Decision Support System for Adaptive Restoration Control of Transmission System显示文摘The power system restoration control has a higher uncertainty level than the preventive control of cascading failures. In order to ensure the feasibility of the decision support system of restoration control, a decision support framework for adaptive restoration control of transmission system is proposed, which can support the coordinated restoration of multiple partitions, coordinated restoration of units and loads, and coordination of multi-partition decision-making process and actual restoration process. The proposed framework is divided into two layers, global coordination layer and partition optimization layer. The upper layer partitions the transmission system according to the power outage scenario, constantly and dynamically adjusts the partitions during the restoration process, and optimizes the time-space decision-making of inter-partition connectivity. For each partition, the lower layer pre-selects restoration targets according to the estimated restoration income, optimizes the corresponding restoration paths, and evaluates the restoration plans according to the expected net income per unit of power consumption. During the restoration process, if the restoration operation such as energizing the outage branch fails, the current restoration plan will be adaptively switched to the sub-optimal one or re-optimized if necessary. The framework includes two operation modes, i.e., the on-line operation mode and training simulation mode, and provides an information interaction interface for collaborative restoration with related distribution systems. 14Genome-wide prediction in a hybrid maize population adapted to Northwest China显示文摘Genome-wide prediction is a promising approach to boost selection gain in hybrid breeding.Our main objective was to evaluate the potential and limits of genome-wide prediction to identify superior hybrid combinations adapted to Northwest China.A total of 490 hybrids derived from crosses among 119 inbred lines from the Shaan A and Shaan B heterotic pattern were used for genome-wide prediction of ten agronomic traits.We tested eight different statistical prediction models considering additive(A)effects and in addition evaluated the impact of dominance(D)and epistasis(E)on the prediction ability.Employing five-fold cross validation,we show that the average prediction ability ranged from 0.386 to 0.794 across traits and models.Six parametric methods,i.e.ridge regression,LASSO,Elastic Net,Bayes B,Bayes C and reproducing kernel Hilbert space(RKHS)approach,displayed a very similar prediction ability for each trait and two non-parametric methods(random forest and support vector machine)had a higher prediction performance for the trait rind penetrometer resistance of the third internode above ground(RPR_TIAG).The models of A+D RKHS and A+D+E RKHS were slightly better for predicting traits with a relatively high non-additive variance.Integrating trait-specific markers into the A+D RKHS model improved the prediction ability of grain yield by 3%,from 0.528 to 0.558.Of all 6328 potential hybrids,selection of the top 44 hybrids would lead to a 6%increase in grain yield compared with Zhengdan 958,a commercially successful hybrid variety.In conclusion,our results substantiate the value of genome-wide prediction for hybrid breeding and suggest dozens of promising single crosses for developing high-yielding hybrids for Northwest China.Guoliang Li Yuan Dong Yusheng Zhao Xiaokang Tian Tobias Würschum Jiquan Xue Shaojiang Chen Jochen C.Reif Shutu Xu Wenxin Liu 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,5:4

163D urchin like V-doped CoP in situ grown on nickel foam as bifunctional electrocatalyst for efficient overall water-splitting显示文摘Cobalt phosphide (CoP) is considered to be a potential candidate in the field of electrocatalysis due to its low-cost, abundant resources and high electrochemical stability. However, there is a great space for further improvement of its electrocatalytic performance since its charge transfer rate and catalytic activity have not reached a satisfactory level. Herein, we design and fabricate a three dimensional urchins like V-doped CoP with different amounts of V-doping on nickel foam electrode. The V-doped CoP/NF electrode with optimized amounts of V-doping (10%) exhibits outstanding hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) performance under universal-pH conditions and preeminent oxygen evolution reaction (OER) performance in alkaline media. Notably, the assembled water-splitting cell displays a cell voltage of only 1.53 V at 10 mA·cm−2 and has excellent durability, much better than many reported related bifunctional catalysts. The experiment results and theoretical analysis revealed that vanadium atoms replace cobalt atoms in CoP lattice. Vanadium doping can not only raise the density of electronic states near the Fermi level enhancing the conductivity of the catalyst, but can also optimize the free energy of hydrogen and oxygen-containing intermediates adsorption over CoP, thus promoting its catalytic activity. Moreover, the unique nanostructure of the catalyst provides the various shortened channels for charge transfer and reactant/electrolyte diffusion, which accelerates the electrocatalytic process. 17LSTM-based Energy Management for Electric Vehicle Charging in Commercial-building Prosumers显示文摘As typical prosumers,commercial buildings equipped with electric vehicle(EV)charging piles and solar photovoltaic panels require an effective energy management method.However,the conventional optimization-model-based building energy management system faces significant challenges regarding prediction and calculation in online execution.To address this issue,a long short-term memory(LSTM)recurrent neural network(RNN)based machine learning algorithm is proposed in this paper to schedule the charging and discharging of numerous EVs in commercial-building prosumers.Under the proposed system control structure,the LSTM algorithm can be separated into offline and online stages.At the offline stage,the LSTM is used to map states(inputs)to decisions(outputs)based on the network training.At the online stage,once the current state is input,the LSTM can quickly generate a solution without any additional prediction.A preliminary data processing rule and an additional output filtering procedure are designed to improve the decision performance of LSTM network.The simulation results demonstrate that the LSTM algorithm can generate near-optimal solutions in milliseconds and significantly reduce the prediction and calculation pressures compared with the conventional optimization algorithm.Huayanran Zhou Yihong Zhou Junjie Hu Guangya Yang Dongliang Xie Yusheng Xue Lars Nordström 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,5:3

20Adaptive Ultra-short-term Wind Power Prediction Based on Risk Assessment显示文摘A risk assessment based adaptive ultra-short-term wind power prediction(USTWPP)method is proposed in this paper.In this method,features are first extracted from the historical data,and then each wind power time series(WPTS)is split into several subsets defined by their stationary patterns.A WPTS that does not match any of the stationary patterns is then included in a subset of non-stationary patterns.Each WPTS subset is then related to a USTWPP model that is specially selected and optimized offline based on the proposed risk assessment index.For online applications,the pattern of the last short WPTS is first recognized,and the relevant prediction model is then applied for USTWPP.Experimental results confirm the efficacy of the proposed method.Yusheng Xue Chen Yu Kang Li Fushuan Wen Yi Ding Qiuwei Wu Guangya Yang 2016CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2016,2,3:2
