| 1 | Interactions between commensal bacteria and viral infection:insights for viral disease control in farmed animals显示文摘Viral diseases cause serious economic loss in farmed animals industry.However,the efficacy of remedies for viral infection in farmed animals is limited,and treatment strategies are generally lacking for aquatic animals.Interactions of commensal microbiota and viral infection have been studied in recent years,demonstrating a third player in the interaction between hosts and viruses.Here,we discuss recent developments in the research of interactions between commensal bacteria and viral infection,including both promotion and inhibition effect of commensal bacteria on viral pathogenesis,as well as the impact of viral infection on commensal microbiota.The antiviral effect of commensal bacteria is mostly achieved through priming or regulation of the host immune responses,involving differential microbial components and host signaling pathways,and gives rise to various antiviral probiotics.Moreover,we summarize studies related to the interaction between commensal bacteria and viral infection in farmed animals,including pigs,chickens,fish and invertebrate species.Further studies in this area will deepen our understanding of antiviral immunity of farmed animals in the context of commensal microbiota,and promote the development of novel strategies for treatment of viral diseases in farmed animals. | Chao Ran Yu Li Xufa Ma Yadong Xie Mingxu Xie Yuting Zhang Wei Zhou Yalin Yang Zhen Zhang Li Zhou Kaijian Wei Zhigang Zhou | 2021 | Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,9: | 2 |
| 2 | Preparation and Properties of Guiqi Polysaccharides/Chitosan/Alginate Composite Hydrogel Microspheres显示文摘A series of the Guiqi polysaccharides/chitosan/alginate composite hydrogel microspheres(GPcM)with different particle sizes were prepared with Guiqi polysaccharides(GP),chitosan(CS)and sodium alginate(Alg).The optimum preparation process was also determined by single factor and orthogonal experiment analysis.The GPcM were characterized by fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),scanning electron microscope(SEM),drug loading efficiency test(LE),encapsulation efficiency test(EE)and in vitro release study.The results showed that the Guiqi polysaccharides chitosan hydrogel(GPCH)and sodium alginate hydrogel(SAH)formed a crossover system in GPcM.The GPcM have a uniform particle size ranging from 395.1μm to 841.5μm.The drug loading efficiency and encapsulation efficiency of the GPcM were 56.3%and 72.6%,respectively.The bovine serum albumin(BSA)loaded in the GPcM released slowly within 180 h.The results suggested that the GPcM may have potential application value in drug sustained and controlled release system. | Xiaoliang Zhao Yuting Wang Xiuying Pu Jianzhong Ma Feifan Leng Yonggang Wang Yanling Wang Shuhong Yang Fen Ran Weijie Zhang | 2019 | Journal of Renewable Materials2019,7,12: | 0 |
| 3 | Cryo-EM structures for the Mycobacterium tuberculosis iron-loaded siderophore transporter IrtAB显示文摘The adenosine 5'-triphosphate(ATP)-binding cassette(ABC)transporter,IrtAB,plays a vital role in the replication and viability of Mycobacterium tuberculosis(Mtb),where its function is to import iron-loaded siderophores.Unusually,it adopts the canonical type IV exporter fold.Herein,we report the structure of unliganded Mtb IrtAB and its structure in complex with ATP,ADP,or ATP analogue(AMP-PNP)at resolutions ranging from 2.8 to 3.5Å.The structure of IrtAB bound ATP-Mg2+shows a“head-to-tail”dimer of nucleotide-binding domains(NBDs),a closed amphipathic cavity within the transmembrane domains(TMDs),and a metal ion liganded to three histidine residues of IrtA in the cavity.Cryo-electron microscopy(Cryo-EM)structures and ATP hydrolysis assays show that the NBD of IrtA has a higher affinity for nucleotides and increased ATPase activity compared with IrtB.Moreover,the metal ion located in the TM region of IrtA is critical for the stabilization of the conformation of IrtAB during the transport cycle.This study provides a structural basis to explain the ATP-driven conformational changes that occur in IrtAB. | Shan Sun Yan Gao Xiaolin Yang Xiuna Yang Tianyu Hu Jingxi Liang Zhiqi Xiong Yuting Ran Pengxuan Ren Fang Bai Luke WGuddat Haitao Yang Zihe Rao Bing Zhang | 2023 | Protein & Cell2023,14,6: | 0 |

| 5 | Supporting Children to Learn English in Chinese Kindergarten显示文摘Most Chinese students learn English as a second language after they go to primary school.However,many articles showed that the best period of children to learn English was three years old to six years old.As researchers,we believe that Chinese children should learn English in kindergarten.We aim to find out from graduate Chinese students in Auburn Univerisity in the United States if Chinese children should learn English in kindergarten.We used qualitative research method,and thirteen participants who are graduate students in Auburn University were interviewed.We used a questionnaire to ask all participants seven questions.The results showed that 38%of participants studied English in kindergarten and 62%of interviewees learned English in primary school.Nine participants agreed that children should learn English in Chinese kindergarten,as they believed that children had strong ability to accept new knowledge at early ages.By doing this research,we want to help Chinese parents to realize that learning English at early ages is very important for every child,and we need to create a good environment for Chinese children to learn English. | Siyuan Ran Yuting Lu | 2020 | Journal of Contemporary Educational Research2020,4,4: | 0 |
| 6 | Simulation and design of a heat-integrated double-effect reactive distillation process for propylene glycol methyl ether production显示文摘A double-effect reactive distillation(DERD)process was proposed for the production of propylene glycol methyl ether from propylene oxide and methanol to overcome the shortcoming of low selectivity and high-energy consumption in the tubular plug-flow reactor.A single-column reactive distillation(RD)process was conducted under optimized operating conditions based on sensitivity analysis as a reference.The results demonstrated that the proposed DERD process is able to achieve more than 95%selectivity of the desired product.After that,a design approach of the DERD process with an objective of the minimum operating cost was proposed to achieve further energy savings in the RD process.The proposed DERD configuration can provide a large energy-savings by totally utilization of the overhead vapor steam in the high-pressure RD column.A comparison of the single-column RD process revealed that the proposed DERD process can reduce the operating cost and the total annual cost of 25.3%and 30.7%,respectively,even though the total capital cost of DERD process is larger than that of the RD process. | Ran An Shengxin Chen Shun Hou Yuting Zhu Chunhu Li Xinbao Zhu Ruixia Liu Weizhong An | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,,12: | 0 |
