1Nitrogen and Phosphorus Dual-Doped Multilayer Graphene as Universal Anode for Full Carbon-Based Lithium and Potassium Ion Capacitors显示文摘Lithium/potassium ion capacitors(LICs/PICs) have been proposed to bridge the performance gap between high-energy batteries and high-power capacitors.However,their development is hindered by the choice,electrochemical performance,and preparation technique of the battery-type anode materials.Herein,a nitrogen and phosphorus dual-doped multilayer graphene(NPG) material is designed and synthesized through an arc discharge process,using low-cost graphite and solid nitrogen and phosphorus sources.When employed as the anode material,NPG exhibits high capacity,remarkable rate capability,and stable cycling performance in both lithium and potassium ion batteries.This excellent electrochemical performance is ascribed to the synergistic effect of nitrogen and phosphorus doping,which enhances the electrochemical conductivity,provides a higher number of ion storage sites,and leads to increased interlayer spacing.Full carbon-based NPG‖LiPF6‖active carbon(AC) LICs and NPG‖KPF6‖AC PICs are assembled and show excellent electrochemical performance,with competitive energy and power densities.This work provides a route for the large-scale production of dual-doped graphene as a universal anode material for high-performance alkali ion batteries and capacitors.Yuting Luan Rong Hu Yongzheng Fang Kai Zhu Kui Cheng Jun Yan Ke Ye Guiling Wang Dianxue Cao 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2:6
2Modeling investigation of geometric size effect on pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber NaA zeolite membranes显示文摘A mass transfer model in consideration of multi-layer resistances through Na A zeolite membrane and lumen pressure drop in the permeate side was developed to describe pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber supported NaA zeolite membrane. It was found that the transfer resistance in the lumen of the permeate side is strongly related with geometric size of hollow fiber zeolite membrane, which could not be neglected. The effect of geometric size on pervaporation dehydration could be more significant under higher vacuum pressure in the permeate side. The transfer resistance in the lumen increases with the hollow fiber length but decreases with lumen diameter. The geometric structure could be optimized in terms of the ratio of lumen diameter to membrane length. A critical value of dI/L(R_c) to achieve high permeation flux was empirically correlated with extraction pressure in the permeate side. 3Generation of obese rat model by transcription activator-like effector nucleases targeting the leptin receptor gene显示文摘The laboratory rat is a valuable mammalian model organism for basic research and drug discovery. Here we demonstrate an efficient methodology by applying transcription activator-like effector nucleases(TALENs) technology to generate Leptin receptor(Lepr) knockout rats on the Sprague Dawley(SD) genetic background. Through direct injection of in vitro transcribed m RNA of TALEN pairs into SD rat zygotes, somatic mutations were induced in two of three resulting pups. One of the founders carrying bi-allelic mutation exhibited early onset of obesity and infertility. The other founder carried a chimeric mutation which was efficiently transmitted to the progenies. Through phenotyping of the resulting three lines of rats bearing distinct mutations in the Lepr locus, we found that the strains with a frame-shifted or premature stop codon mutation led to obesity and metabolic disorders. However, no obvious defect was observed in a strain with an in-frame 57 bp deletion in the extracellular domain of Lepr. This suggests the deleted amino acids do not significantly affect Lepr structure and function. This is the first report of generating the Lepr mutant obese rat model in SD strain through a reverse genetic approach. 4Review on grid-forming converter control methods in high-proportion renewable energy power systems显示文摘Grid-forming(GFM)converters can provide inertia support for power grids through control technology,stabilize voltage and frequency,and improve system stability,unlike traditional grid-following(GFL)converters.Therefore,in future“double high”power systems,research on the control technology of GFM converters will become an urgent demand.In this paper,we first introduce the basic principle of GFM control and then present five currently used control strategies for GFM converters:droop control,power synchronization control(PSC),virtual synchronous machine control(VSM),direct power control(DPC),and virtual oscillator control(VOC).These five strategies can independently establish voltage phasors to provide inertia to the system.Among these,droop control is the most widely used strategy.PSC and VSM are strategies that simulate the mechanical characteristics of synchronous generators;thus,they are more accurate than droop control.DPC regulates the active power and reactive power directly,with no inner current controller,and VOC is a novel method under study using an oscillator circuit to realize synchronization.Finally,we highlight key technologies and research directions to be addressed in the future.Yuting Teng Wei Deng Wei Pei Yifeng Li Li Ding Hua Ye 2022Global Energy Interconnection2022,5,3:3

7Efficacy of needling Baihui(GV20),Neiguan(PC6),Shenmen(HT7) and Taichong(LR3) on cerebral cortical blood oxygen level in rats with insomnia显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the effect of needling Baihui(GV20),Neiguan(PC6),Shenmen(HT7) and Taichong(LR3) on cerebral cortical blood oxygen level in rats with insomnia identified as liver-Qi stagnation pattern in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine.METHODS:Sixty Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank group(n = 10),the rest of the rats were clamped tail as stimulation combined with injected intraperitoneally p-chlorophenylalanine(PCPA) to establish sleep deprivation model.After the successful replication of the model,they were randomly divided into model group,grabbing group,Western Medicine group,acupuncture group and sham acupuncture group,with 10 rats in each group.The model group was given normal saline;The grasping group was grasped in the same way as the two treatment groups;Western medicine group was given estazolam solution;The acupuncture group was treated with the acupuncture method of 'soothing the liver Qi and regulating mind' needling Baihui(GV20),Neiguan(PC6),Shenmen(HT7) and Taichong(LR3);The sham acupuncture group were needled with four nonacupoint sites.After 7 d of treatment of rats in each group,sodium pentobarbital sleep experiment was used to evaluate the sleep latency(SL) and sleep time(ST).The percentage of rats entering the open arm(OE%) and the percentage of time entering the open arm(OT%) in each group were monitored by elevated cross maze,and the vertical score,horizontal crossing times,central grid score and modification times were monitored by open field test,functional near infrared spectroscopy(f NIRs) was used to monitor the changes of oxygenated hemoglobin(Oxy-Hb),deoxyhemoglobin(Deoxy-Hb) and total hemoglobin(Total-Hb) in the cerebral cortex of rats in each group under light stimulation and dark stimulation,the statistically significant channel combinations were selected from 8 light sources and 12 detectors(S-D).According to the position of the light source detector covering the cerebral cortex,Preliminarily determine the key brain areas of insomnia(the preliminary experiment found that 6S-8D and 7S-9D were the key channels of insomnia under light stimulation,and the corresponding brain areas were prefrontal lobe and occipital lobe respectively;7S-7D channel under dark stimulation,and the corresponding brain area was occipital lobe);The hemodynamic map of cerebral cortex was constructed through the absolute value of whole brain blood oxygen level.Further identify key brain regions for insomnia.RESULTS:Compared with the blank group,ST,OE%,OT%,the vertical score,horizontal crossing times,central grid score,the concentration of Deoxy-Hb in prefrontal and occipital lobes were decreased significantly(P < 0.01),and the concentrations of SL,modification times,Oxy-Hb and Total-Hb were increased significantly(P < 0.01);There was no difference in the above indexes between the model group and the grabbing group(P > 0.05);After treatment,ST,OE%,OT%,the vertical score,horizontal crossing times,central grid score and DeoxyHb concentration in acupuncture group and Western medicine group increased significantly,while SL,modification times,Oxy-Hb and Total-Hb concentrations were decreased significantly(P < 0.01,P < 0.05),Compared with the Western Medicine group,the values of OE% and OT% were more significantly higher in the acupuncture group(P < 0.05),while the rest of the indexes were not significantly different between the two groups(P > 0.05);Compared with the acupuncture group,ST,OE%,OT%,the vertical score,horizontal crossing times,central grid score and the concentration of deoxy Hb in the sham acupuncture group decreased significantly(P < 0.01),and the concentrations of SL,modification times,Oxy-Hb and Total-Hb increased significantly(P < 0.01).CONCLUSIONS:The needling method for soothing the liver Qi and regulating mind could improve the abnormal behavior of insomnia rats with liver Qi stagnation,and its effect on the improvement of abnormal mood caused by insomnia with liver Qi stagnation is better than that of Western Medicine,and the mechanism of action may be related to the regulation of blood oxygen metabolism in the prefrontal and occipital lobes of the cerebral cortex by acupuncture.YE Yujuan WEI Yuting JIA Jing YAN Xingke 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,3:1

10Enhancement of MoTe2 near-infrared absorption with gold hollow nanorods for photodetection显示文摘Infrared(IR)light photodetection based on two dimensional(2D)materials of proper bandgap has attracted increasing attention.However,the weak IR absorption in 2D materials,due to their ultrathin attribute and indirect bandgap in multilayer structures,degrades their performance when used as IR photodetectors.In this work,we utilize the fact that few-layer MoTe2 flake has a near-IR(NIR)bandgap and demonstrate a^60-fold enhancement of NIR response by introducing a gold hollow nanorods on the surface.Such gold hollow nanorods have distinct absorption peak located also at the NIR regime,therefore induces strong resonance,benefitting NIR absorption in MoTe2,resulting in strong near-field enhancement.With the evidence from steady and transient state optical spectra,we confirm that the enhancement of NIR response originates only photon absorption,rather than electron transport at interfaces as observed in other heterostructures,therefore,precluding the requirement of high-quality interfaces for commercial applications.Jiawen You Ye Yu Kai Cai Dongming Zhou Haiming Zhu Renyan Wang Qingfu Zhang Hongwei Liu Yuting Cai Dong Lu Jang-Kyo Kim Lin Gan Tianyou Zhai Zhengtang Luo 2020Nano Research2020,13,6:1

16Effect of caffeic acid derivatives on polychlorinated biphenyls induced hepatotoxicity in male mice显示文摘Chronic exposure to coplanar polychlorinated biphenyls(PCBs),a potent inducer of toxic reactive oxygen species(ROS),in the environment and food can cause liver diseases.It remains unknown whether caffeic acid derivatives(CADs) exerted protective effect on PCB-induced hepatotoxicity.We sought to evaluate the activities of 3CADs on PCB169-induced oxidative stress and DNA damage in the liver.Male ICR mice were administered with1 μmol/mL PCB169 at 5 mL/kg body weight for 2 weeks.The mice were given CADs by gastric gavage for 3weeks.We found that PCB169 decreased the growth rate and reduced the levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD),glutathione(GSH) and GSH peroxidase(GPx).It increased the liver weight,malondialdehyde(MDA)and 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine(8-OHdG) levels and CYPlAl activity in the liver tissues and plasma of mice(P<0.05).Pretreatment of mice with CADs restored the above parameters to normal levels.There was a synergistic protective effect between CADs in preventing MDA and 8-OHdG formation and inducing CYPlAl and phase II metabolism enzyme(SOD,GPx) activities(P<0.05).In conclusion,PCB169 induced hepatotoxicity and pretreatment with CADs had synergistic protective effects on liver damage.Ruirui Li Shuyuan Cao Jinfeng Dai Li Wang Lei Li Yubang Wang Wenqin Yin Yuting Ye 2014The Journal of Biomedical Research2014,28,5:1
17Quantum Dot Nanobeads-Labelled Lateral Flow Immunoassay Strip for Rapid and Sensitive Detection of Salmonella Typhimurium Based on Strand Displacement Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification显示文摘Rapid,sensitive,point-of-care detection of pathogenic bacteria is important for food safety.In this study,we developed a novel quantum dot nanobeads-labelled lateral flow immunoassay strip(QBs-labelled LFIAS)combined with strand displacement loop-mediated isothermal amplification(SD-LAMP)for quantitative Salmonella Typhimurium(ST)detection.Quantum dot nanobeads(QBs)served as fluorescence reporters,providing good detection efficiency.The customizable strand displacement(SD)probe was used in LAMP to improve the specificity of the method and prevent by-product capture.Detection was based on a sandwich immunoassay.A fluorescence strip reader measured the fluorescence intensity(FI)of the test(T)line and control(C)line.The linear detection range of the strip was 10^(2)–10^(8) colony forming units(CFU)·mL^(-1).The visual limit of detection was 10^(3) CFU·mL^(-1),indicating that the system was ten-fold more sensitive than AuNPs-labelled test strips.ST specificity was analyzed in accordance with agarose gel outputs of polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and SD-LAMP.We detected ST in foods with an acceptable recovery of 85%–110%.The method is rapid,simple,almost equipment-free,and suitable for bacterial detection in foods and for clinical diagnosis.Yuting Shang Shuzhen Cai Qinghua Ye Qingping Wu Yanna Shao Xiaoying Qu Xinran Xiang Baoqing Zhou Yu Ding Moutong Chen Liang Xue Honghui Zhu Jumei Zhang 2022Engineering2022,,12:0
18Evidence of bisphosphonate-conjugated sitafloxacin eradication of established methicillin-resistant S.aureus infection with osseointegration in murine models of implant-associated osteomyelitis显示文摘Eradication of MRSA osteomyelitis requires elimination of distinct biofilms.To overcome this,we developed bisphosphonateconjugated sitafloxacin(BCS,BV600072)and hydroxybisphosphonate-conjugate sitafloxacin(HBCS,BV63072),which achieve“target-and-release”drug delivery proximal to the bone infection and have prophylactic efficacy against MRSA static biofilm in vitro and in vivo.Here we evaluated their therapeutic efficacy in a murine 1-stage exchange femoral plate model with bioluminescent MRSA(USA300LAC::lux).Osteomyelitis was confirmed by CFU on the explants and longitudinal bioluminescent imaging(BLI)after debridement and implant exchange surgery on day 7,and mice were randomized into seven groups:1)Baseline(harvested at day7,no treatment);2)HPBP(bisphosphonate control for BCS)+vancomycin;3)HPHBP(hydroxybisphosphonate control for HBCS)+vancomycin;4)vancomycin;5)sitafloxacin;6)BCS+vancomycin;and 7)HBCS+vancomycin.BLI confirmed infection persisted in all groups except for mice treated with BCS or HBCS+vancomycin.Radiology revealed catastrophic femur fractures in all groups except mice treated with BCS or HBCS+vancomycin,which also displayed decreases in peri-implant bone loss,osteoclast numbers,and biofilm.To confirm this,we assessed the efficacy of vancomycin,sitafloxacin,and HBCS monotherapy in a transtibial implant model.The results showed complete lack of vancomycin efficacy while all mice treated with HBCS had evidence of infection control,and some had evidence of osseous integrated septic implants,suggestive of biofilm eradication.Taken together these studies demonstrate that HBCS adjuvant with standard of care debridement and vancomycin therapy has the potential to eradicate MRSA osteomyelitis.Youliang Ren Jason Weeks Thomas Xue Joshua Rainbolt Karen L.de Mesy Bentley Ye Shu Yuting Liu Elysia Masters Philip Cherian Charles E.McKenna Jeffrey Neighbors Frank H.Ebetino Edward M.Schwarz Shuting Sun Chao Xie 2023Bone Research2023,11,4:0
