1Modeling the distribution of Populus euphratica in the Heihe River Basin, an inland river basin in an arid region of China显示文摘Populus euphratica is a dominant tree species in riparian Tugai forests and forms a natural barrier that maintains the stability of local oases in arid inland river basins. Despite being critical information for local environmental protection and recovery, establishing the specific spatial distribution of P. euphratica has rarely been attempted via precise and reliable species distribution models in such areas. In this research, the potential geographic distribution of P. euphratica in the Heihe River Basin was simulated with MaxEnt software based on species occurrence data and 29 environmental variables. The result showed that in the Heihe River Basin, 820 km^2 of land primarily distributed along the banks of the lower reaches of the river is a suitable habitat for P. euphratica. We built other MaxEnt models based on different environmental variables and another eight models employing different mathematical algorithms based on the same 29 environmental variables to demonstrate the superiority of this method.MaxEnt based on 29 environmental variables performed the best among these models, as it precisely described the essential characteristics of the distribution of P. euphratica forest land. This study verified that MaxEnt can serve as an effective tool for species distribution in extremely arid regions with sufficient and reliable environmental variables. The results suggest that there may be a larger area of P. euphratica forest distribution in the study area and that ecological conservation and management of P.euphratica should prioritize suitable habitat. 2Radar Target Recognition Algorithm Based on RCS Observation Sequence——Set-Valued Identification Method显示文摘This paper studies the problem of radar target recognition based on radar cross section(RCS)observation sequence.First,the authors compute the discrete wavelet transform of RCS observation sequence and extract a valid statistical feature vector containing five components.These five components represent five different features of the radar target.Second,the authors establish a set-valued model to represent the relation between the feature vector and the authenticity of the radar target.By set-valued identification method,the authors can estimate the system parameter,based on which the recognition criteria is given.In order to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed recognition method,extensive simulations are given finally assuming that the true target is a cone frustum and the RCS of the false target is normally distributed.The results show that the set-valued identification method has a higher recognition rate than the traditional fuzzy classification method and evidential reasoning method.WANG Ting BI Wenjian ZHAO Yanlong XUE Wenchao 2016Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2016,29,3:7

4Iterative parameter estimate with batched binary-valued observations显示文摘In this paper, we consider linear system identification with batched binary-valued observations.We constructed an iterative parameter estimate algorithm to achieve the maximum likelihood(ML) estimate.The first interesting result was that there exists at most one finite ML solution for this specific maximum likelihood problem, which was induced by the fact that the Hessian matrix of the log-likelihood function was negative definite under binary data and Gaussian system noises. The global concave property and local strongly concave property of the log-likelihood function were obtained. Under mild conditions on the system input, we proved that the ML function has a unique maximum point. The second main result was that the ML estimate was consistent under persistent excitation inputs, which infers the effectiveness of ML estimate. Finally, the proposed iterative estimate algorithm converged to a fixed vector with an exponential rate that was proved by constructing a Lyapunov function. A more interesting result was that the limit of the iterative algorithm achieved the maximization of the ML function. 7Consensus Control With a Constant Gain for Discrete-time Binary-valued Multi-agent Systems Based on a Projected Empirical Measure Method显示文摘This paper studies the consensus control of multiagent systems with binary-valued observations.An algorithm alternating estimation and control is proposed.Each agent estimates the states of its neighbors based on a projected empirical measure method for a holding time.Based on the estimates,each agent designs the consensus control with a constant gain at some skipping time.The states of the system are updated by the designed control,and the estimation and control design will be repeated.For the estimation,the projected empirical measure method is proposed for the binary-valued observations.The algorithm can ensure the uniform boundedness of the estimates and the mean square error of the estimation is proved to be at the order of the reciprocal of the holding time(the same order as that in the case of accurate outputs).For the consensus control,a constant gain is designed instead of the stochastic approximation based gain in the existing literature for binary-valued observations.And,there is no need to make modification for control since the uniform boundedness of the estimates ensures the uniform boundedness of the agents’states.Finally,the systems updated by the designed control are proved to achieve consensus and the consensus speed is faster than that in the existing literature.Simulations are given to demonstrate the theoretical results.Ting Wang Min Hu Yanlong Zhao 2019IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2019,6,4:4
8Identification of the gain system with quantized observations and bounded persistent excitations显示文摘System identification with quantized observations and persistent excitations is a fundamental and difcult problem.As the first step,this paper takes the gain system for example to investigate the identification with quantized observations and bounded persistently exciting inputs.Firstly,the identification with single threshold quantization is considered.A projection recursive algorithm is proposed to estimate the unknown parameter.By use of the conditional expectation of quantized observations with respect to the estimates,the algorithm is shown to be both mean-square and almost surely convergent.The upper bound of the convergence rate is also obtained,which has the same order as the one of the optimal estimation in the case where the system output is exactly known.Secondly,for the multi-threshold quantization,the identification algorithm is similarly constructed and its asymptotic property is analyzed.Using a multi-linear transformation,the optimal scheme of quantization values and thresholds is given.A numerical example is simulated to demonstrate the efectiveness of the algorithms and the main results obtained.GUO Jin ZHAO YanLong 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,1:4
9FIR system identification with set-valued and precise observations from multiple sensors显示文摘This paper considers the system identification problem for FIR(finite impulse response) systems with set-valued and precise observations received from multiple sensors. A fusion estimation algorithm based on some suitable identification algorithms for different types of observations is proposed. In particular, least square method is chosen for FIR systems with precise observations, while empirical measure method and EM algorithm are chosen for FIR systems with set-valued observations in the cases of periodic and general system inputs, respectively. Then, the quasi-convex combination estimator(QCCE) fusing the two different estimators by a linear combination with appropriate weights is constructed. Furthermore, the convergence properties are theoretically analyzed in terms of strong consistency and asymptotic efficiency. The fused estimator QCCE is proved to achieve the Cram′er-Rao(CR) lower bound asymptotically under periodic inputs. 12Parameter estimates of Heston stochastic volatility model with MLE and consistent EKF algorithm显示文摘Heston model is the most famous stochastic volatility model in finance. This paper considers the parameter estimation problem of Heston model with both known and unknown volatilities. First, parameters in equity process and volatility process of Heston model are estimated separately since there is no explicit solution for the likelihood function with all parameters. Second, the normal maximum likelihood estimation(NMLE) algorithm is proposed based on the It?o transformation of Heston model. The algorithm can reduce the estimate error compared with existing pseudo maximum likelihood estimation. Third, the NMLE algorithm and consistent extended Kalman filter(CEKF) algorithm are combined in the case of unknown volatilities. As an advantage, CEKF algorithm can apply an upper bound of the error covariance matrix to ensure the volatilities estimation errors to be well evaluated. Numerical simulations illustrate that the proposed NMLE algorithm works more efficiently than the existing pseudo MLE algorithm with known and unknown volatilities. Therefore, the upper bound of the error covariance is illustrated. 16Stable carbon isotopes in the shell of Corbicula fluminea (Müller 1774): Implications for understanding environmental changes in drainage basins显示文摘Dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) is a primary constituent of the aquatic geochemistry of terrestrial ecosystems. Changes in DIC concentration and its isotopic composition are closely associated with environmental changes in the drainage basin. Thus, a better understanding of DIC may lead to improved characterization of environmental changes. Corbicula fluminea (Müller 1774), a bivalve native to southeast Asia and a dominant invasive species in many aquatic environments around the world, has the poten-tial to record DIC information, particularly because of its sequential skeletal deposition. Analysis of the stable carbon isotope composition (δ 13C) of the shell and the aquatic DIC in the Xijiang River drainage basins in southern and western China allowed us to determine that changes in δ 13C in the skeleton significantly correlated with those of DIC (P < 0.01, r = 0.63). These results indicate that the isotopic signature of the shell reflects that δ 13C of the DIC in ambient water. The temporal resolution was at the seasonal scale. Metabolic effect does not change the co-variation, even though it makes the shell δ 13C 1.4‰ lower statistically than that of DIC. δ 13C of DIC in creeks of some watershed areas may experience large temporal changes characterization of these changes requires high sampling resolution of the shell. This problem makes the clams in these areas less preferable for reconstruc-tion of environmental changes. 17Credit Scoring Based on the Set-Valued Identification Method显示文摘Credit scoring is one of the key problems in financial risk managements.This paper studies the credit scoring problem based on the set-valued identification method,which is used to explain the relation between the individual attribute vectors and classification for the credit worthy and credit worthless lenders.In particular,system parameters are estimated by the set-valued identification algorithm based on a given recognition criteria.In order to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed method,practical experiments are conducted for credit card applicants of Australia and credit card holders from Taiwan,respectively.The empirical results show that the set-valued model has a higher prediction accuracy on both small and large numbers of data set compared with logistic regression model.Furthermore,parameters estimated by the set-valued identification method are more stable,which provide a meaningful and logical explanation for extracting factors that influence the borrowers’credit scorings.WANG Ximei HU Min ZHAO Yanlong DJEHICHE Boualem 2020Journal of Systems Science & Complexity2020,33,5:2
18Variations in growth traits and wood physicochemical properties among Pinus koraiensis families in Northeast China显示文摘This study aimed to explore and improve the different economic values of Pinus koraiensis(Siebold and Zucc.)by examining the variations in 6 growth traits and 9 physicochemical wood properties among 53 P.koraiensis half-sib families.Growth traits assessed included height,diameter at breast height,volume,degree of stem straight-ness,stem form,and branch number per node,while wood properties assessed included density,fiber length and width,fiber length to width ratio,and cellulose,hemicel-lulose,holocellulose,lignin,and ash contents.Except for degree of stem straightness and branch number per node,all other traits exhibited highly significant variations(P<0.01)among families.The coefficients of variation ranged from 5.3(stem form)to 66.7%(ash content),whereas,the herit-ability ranged from 0.136(degree of stem straightness)to 0.962(ash content).Significant correlations were observed among growth traits and wood physicochemical properties.Principal component analysis identified four distinct groups representing growth traits,wood chemical and physical properties,and stem form traits.Multi-trait comprehensive evaluation identified three groups of elite families based on breeding objectives,including rapid growth,improved timber production for building and furniture materials,and pulpwood production.These specific families should be used to establish new plantations.Qinhui Zhang Xiaona Pei Xianbo Lu Chunli Zhao Guangzhi Dong Wanling Shi Liankui Wang Yanlong Li Xiyang Zhao Mulualem Tigabu 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,5:1

20Clinical Pathologic Study on Effect of Qianggan Capsule (强肝胶囊) in Treating Patients of Chronic Hepatitis B with Liver Cirrhosis显示文摘Objective: To explore the clinical therapeutic effect of Qianggan Capsule (QGC) in treating chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis from the pathological aspect. Methods: Sixty three patients of chronic hepatitis B with liver fibrosis were randomly divided into the treated group (n=45) and the control group (n=18). Both groups were treated with general liver protective drugs, such as Glucurone and vitamins B complex for 6 months. To the treated group, QGC was used additionally. The levels of serum alanine transaminase and liver fibrosis indexes including hyaluronic acid (HA), collagen type Ⅳ (C Ⅳ) and laminin (LN) as well as the pathological examination of liver biopsy were observed before and after treatment. Results: The liver cirrhosis indexes, HA, C Ⅳ and LN, were improved significantly in the treated group after treatment, P <0.05. The liver function improvement rate in the treated group and the control group was 90.3% and 66.7% respectively, comparison of the two groups showed insignificant difference, P >0.05. Pathological examination showed that the effective rate of treatment on liver inflammatory necrosis activity grade in the treated group was 57.8% and that on liver fibrosis stage was 75.6%, which were significantly improved as compared with those before treatment ( P <0.05 and P <0.01), while in the control group, no significant improvement was found after treatment ( P >0.05).
