Prognostic factors of refractory NSCLC patients receiving anlotinib hydrochloride as the third-or further-line treatment显示文摘Objective:Anlotinib hydrochloride is a multitarget tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptor, fibroblast growth factor receptor,platelet-derived growth factor receptor,c-Kit,and c-MET;therefore,it exhibits both antitumor and anti-angiogenetic activities.A phase III trial has shown that anlotinib improved progression-free survival(PFS)and overall survival(OS)in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),who presented with progressive disease or intolerance after standard chemotherapy. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of patients receiving anlotinib treatment to determine the dominant populations who are fit for the treatment. Methods:Data were collected from March 2015 to January 2017 from a randomized,double-blind,placebo-controlled,multicenter,phase III trial of anlotinib(ALTER0303).A total of 437 patients were enrolled and randomly allocated(2:1)to the anlotinib and placebo groups.Kaplan–Meier analysis and log-rank test were performed to compare PFS and OS.Cox proportional hazards model was adopted for multivariate prognostic analysis. Results:Multivariate analysis indicated that high post-therapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio and elevated alkaline phosphatase levels were independent risk factors for PFS.Meanwhile, elevated thyroid-stimulating hormone, blood glucose, and triglyceride levels;hypertension;and hand–foot syndrome were independent protective factors of PFS.High posttherapeutic peripheral blood granulocyte/lymphocyte ratio,an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group(ECOG)score≥2,and the sum of the maximal target lesion length at baseline were independent risk factors of OS,and hypertriglyceridemia was an independent protective factor of OS.Conclusions:This study preliminarily explored the possible factors that affected PFS and OS after anlotinib treatment in patients with advanced refractory NSCLC,and the baseline characteristics of the therapeutically dominant populations were then identified.Jing Wang Yizhuo Zhao Qiming Wang Li Zhang Jianhua Shi Zhehai Wang Ying Cheng Jianxing He Yuankai Shi Hao Yu Yang Zhao Weiqiang Chen Yi Luo Xiuwen Wang Kejun Nan Faguang Jin Jian Dong Baolan Li Zhujun Liu Baohui Han Kai Li 2018Cancer Biology & Medicine2018,15,4:46
Positioning accuracy assessment for the 4GEO/5IGSO/2MEO constellation of COMPASS显示文摘Determined to become a new member of the well-established GNSS family,COMPASS(or BeiDou-2) is developing its capabilities to provide high accuracy positioning services. Two positioning modes are investigated in this study to assess the positioning accuracy of COMPASS' 4GEO/5IGSO/2MEO constellation.Precise Point Positioning(PPP) for geodetic users and real-time positioning for common navigation users are utilized. To evaluate PPP accuracy, coordinate time series repeatability and discrepancies with GPS' precise positioning are computed.Experiments show that COMPASS PPP repeatability for the east, north and up components of a receiver within China's Mainland is better than 2 cm,2 cm and 5 cm,respectively.Apparent systematic offsets of several centimeters exist between COMPASS precise positioning and GPS precise positioning, indicating errors remaining in the treatments of COMPASS measurement and dynamic models and reference frame differences existing between two systems. For common positioning users,COMPASS provides both open and authorized services with rapid differential corrections and integrity information available to authorized users. Our assessment shows that in open service positioning accuracy of dual-frequency and single-frequency users is about 5 m and 6 m(RMS),respectively, which may be improved to about 3 m and 4 m(RMS) with the addition of differential corrections.Less accurate Signal In Space User Ranging Error(SIS URE) and Geometric Dilution of Precision(GDOP) contribute to the relatively inferior accuracy of COMPASS as compared to GPS.Since the deployment of the remaining 1 GEO and 2 MEO is not able to significantly improve GDOP,the performance gap could only be overcome either by the use of differential corrections or improvement of the SIS URE,or both.ZHOU ShanShi CAO YueLing ZHOU JianHua HU XiaoGong TANG ChengPan LIU Li GUO Rui HE Feng CHEN JunPing WU Bin 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,12:31
The subducted slab of Yangtze Continental block beneath the Tethyan orogen in western Yunnan显示文摘The western Yunnan area is a natural laboratory with fully developed and best preserved Tethyan orogen in the world. Seismic tomography reveals a slab-like high velocity anomaly down to 250 km beneath the western Yunnan Tethyan orogen, to its west there is a low-velocity column about 300 km wide. in the region from Lancangjiang to Mojiang an obvious low velocity in the lower crust and uppermost mantle overlies on the slab. Synthesizing the available geological and geochemical results, the present paper demonstrates that this slab-like high velocity anomaly is a part of the subducted plate of Yangtze Continental segment after the closure of Paleotethys. The collision of India and Eurasia continent starting from 50-60 MaBP might trigger thermal disturbance in the upper mantle and cause the uprising of asthenosphere, in that case the subducted Yangtze plate could be broken off, causing Cenozoic magmatic activities and underplating in the Lancangjiang-Mojiang region.Futian Liu Jianhua Liu Dalai Zhong Jiankun He Qingyu You 2000Chinese Science Bulletin2000,45,5:28
Efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients with rheumatoid arthritis:a multi-center parallel-group double-blind randomized controlled trial显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Xinfeng capsule in patients suffering rheumatoid arthritis(RA).METHODS:A multi-center parallel-group designed,double-blind,randomized,controlled trial was conducted.Totally 304 RA patients were assigned to two groups:one group was administered Xinfeng capsule(XFC) plus the placebo of leflunomide and the other given leflunomide(LEF) plus the placebo of XFC for twelve weeks. The clinical and laboratory parameters were compared at baseline and fourth, eighth, and twelfth weeks.RESULTS:After twelve-week treatment, patients in two groups all showed some trend of effectiveness when compared in terms of American Rheumatism Association(ACR) recommended 20%,50%,70%improvement criteria, but it was insignificant. The validity in ameliorate modified disease activity score(DAS28) and laboratory indexes as erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),C-reactive protein(CRP),rheumatoid factor(RF) were also found no difference. The score of health assessment questionnaire(HAQ),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),self-rating depression scale(SDS) and quality of life questionnaire with rheumatoid arthritis(RAQOL)both lower than the first week and the changes showed no difference. However, the score of SDS dropped more in XFC group than in the other.A total of 147 adverse reaction cases were reported, which shows no difference between the two groups. The most common adverse reactions were hepatic impairment, anemia, leukocytopenia, epigastric discomfort and phalacrosis.CONCLUSION:XFC demonstrated better improvement in the scores of SDS and compared with those of LEF group.Liu Jian Wang Yuan Huang Chuanbing Xu Jianhua Li Zhijun Xu Liang He Liyun Sun Yue Wang Yali Xu Shengqian Zhao Ping Mao Tongjun Tan Bin Zhu Fubing Zhang Pingheng Fang Li 2015Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2015,35,5:27
Rural land use spatial allocation in the semiarid loess hilly area in China:Using a Particle Swarm Optimization model equipped with multi-objective optimization techniques显示文摘Semiarid loess hilly areas in China are enduring a series of environmental conflicts between urban expansion, cultivated land conservation, soil erosion and water shortage, and require land use allocation to reconcile these environmental conflicts. We argue that the optimized spatial allocation of rural land use can be achieved by a Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) model in conjunction with multi-objective optimization techniques. Our study focuses on Yuzhong County of Gangsu Province in China,a typical catchment on the Loess Plateau, and proposes a land use spatial optimization model. The model maximizes land use suitability and spatial compactness based on a variety of constraints,e.g.optimal land use structure and restrictive areas, and employs an improved PSO algorithm equipped with a determinant initialization method and a dynamic weighted aggregation (DWA) method to obtain the optimized land use spatial pattern. The results suggest that (1) approximately 4% of land use should be reallocated and these changes would alleviate the environmental conflicts in the study area;(2) the major reshuffling is slope farmland and newly added construction and cultivated land, whereas the unchanged areas are largely forests and basic farmland;and (3) the PSO is capable of optimizing rural land use allocation, and the determinant initialization method and DWA can improve the performance of the PSO.LIU YaoLin LIU DianFeng LIU YanFang HE JianHua JIAO LiMin CHEN YiYun HONG XiaoFeng 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,7:23
The wide-area difference system for the regional satellite navigation system of COMPASS显示文摘The regional satellite navigation system of COMPASS (Phase I) provides both open services and authorized services. Authorized services offer differential corrections and integrity information to users to support higher positioning, navigation and timing precision. Experimenting with real data, positioning accuracy is estimated with a 3GEO/4IGSO COMPASS constellation. The results show that with dual-frequency and single-frequency pseudo-range measurements, the positioning errors are respectively 8 and 10 m (RMS) for open service users, while for authorized users, the errors are 4 and 5 m (RMS), respectively. The COMPASS constellation geometry may cause large error to occur in the height component by 7-9 m for dualor single-frequency users, which can be effectively reduced with the differential corrections supplied by the authorized services. Multipath errors are identified and corrected for COMPASS, resulting in 25% positioning accuracy improvement for dual-frequency users and 10% improvement for single-frequency users.CAO YueLing HU XiaoGong WU Bin ZHOU ShanShi LIU Li SU RanRan CHANG ZhiQiao HE Feng ZHOU JianHua 2012Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2012,55,7:21
Special Section:SARS-CoV-2 Preliminary evidence from a multicenter prospective observational study of the safety and efficacy of chloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19显示文摘Effective therapies are urgently needed for the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic.Chloroquine has been proved to have antiviral effect against coronavirus in vitro. In this study,we aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of chloroquine with different doses in COVID-19.In this multicenter prospective observational study,we enrolled patients older than 18 years old with confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infection excluding critical cases from 12 hospitals in Guangdong and Hubei Provinces.Eligible patients received chloroquinephosphate s00 mg,orally, once(half dose)or twice(full dose)daily.Patients treated with non-chloroquine therapy were included as historical controls. The primary endpoint is the time to undetectable viral RNA.Secondary outcomes include the proportion of patients with undetectable viral RNA by day 10 and 14,hospitalization time, duration of fever, and adverse events.A total of 197 patients completed chloroquine treatment, and 176patients were included as historical controls. The median time to achieve an undetectable viral RNA was shorter in chloroquine than in non-chloroquine(absolute difference in medians-6.0 days;95%CI-6.0 to—4.0).The duration of fever is shorter in chloroquine(geometric mean ratio 0.6;95%CIO.5 to 0.8).No serious adverse events were observed in the chloroquine group.Patients treated with half dose experienced lower rate of adverse events than with full dose.Although randomized trials are needed for further evaluation, this study provides evidence for safety and efficacy of chloroquine in COVID-19 and suggests that chloroquine can be a cost-effective therapy for combating the COVID-19 pandemic.Mingxing Huang Man Li Fei Xiao Pengfei Pang Jiabi Liang Tiantian Tang Shaoxuan Liu Binghui Chen Jingxian Shu Yingying You Yang Li Meiwen Tang Jianhui Zhou Guanmin Jiang Jingfen Xiang Wenxin Hong Songmei He Zhaoqin Wang Jianhua Feng Changqing Lin Yinong Ye Zhilong Wu Yaocai Li Bei Zhong Ruilin Sun Zhongsi Hong Jing Liu Huili Chen Xiaohua Wang Zhonghe Li Duanqing Pei Lin Tian Jinyu Xia Shanping Jiang Nanshan Zhong Hong Shan 2020National Science Review2020,7,9:20
Use of probiotics and botanical extracts to improve ruminant production in the tropics: A review显示文摘Ruminant production, especially in the tropics and developing countries suffers a setback when compared with the temperate and developed countries, which is attributable to the kinds of available feed resources in the region of production. In the tropics, ruminants are restricted to grazing on low-quality forages, crop residues and agro-industrial by-products with very little or no concentrate diets, which adversely affect the animals in exhibiting their full production potential. Considering this fact, there is an increasing interest in improving the digestibility of these feed resources. In recent years, researchers have explored several methods to enhance the functions of rumen microflora, improve digestion and fermentation processes, as well as increase bioavailability and utilization of nutrients through feed supplementation. This review aims to explore the positive effects of supplementation of ruminant diets with probiotics or botanical extracts and their metabolites on the productivity of the animals. Moreover, the functions of these non-pathogenic and non-toxic live microorganisms(probiotics) and plant biologically active compounds(botanical extract)are explored because of the ban on non-therapeutic use of antibiotics as growth promoters coupled with the critical preference of consumers to high quality and safe animal products. It has been reported that these alternative supplemental products have a beneficial impact on both animal health and productivity, which is affecting stabilization of rumen environment, inhibition of pathogenic bacteria proliferation in gastrointestinal tract, modulation of immune response, increase in fibre degradation and fermentation, nutrients availability and utilization, animal growth performance and milk production, among others. However,long-term in vivo studies are still required to determine the synergetic effects of these 2 safe supplemental products.Muhammed A.Arowolo Jianhua He 2018Animal Nutrition2018,,3:17
Anti-cd TCR antibody-expanded cd T cells:a better choice for the adoptive immunotherapy of lymphoid malignancies显示文摘Cell-based immunotherapy for lymphoid malignancies has gained increasing attention as patients develop resistance to conventional treatments.cd T cells, which have major histocompatibility complex(MHC)-unrestricted lytic activity, have become a promising candidate population for adoptive cell transfer therapy. We previously established a stable condition for expanding cd T cells by using anti-cd T-cell receptor(TCR)antibody. In this study,we found that adoptive transfer of the expanded cd T cells to Daudi lymphoma-bearing nude mice significantly prolonged the survival time of the mice and improved their living status. We further investigated the characteristics of these antibody-expanded cd T cells compared to the more commonly used phosphoantigen-expanded cd T cells and evaluated the feasibility of employing them in the treatment of lymphoid malignancies.Slow but sustained proliferation of human peripheral blood cd T cells was observed upon stimulation with anti-cd TCR antibody.Compared to phosphoantigen-stimulated cd T cells, the antibody-expanded cells manifested similar functional phenotypes and cytotoxic activity towards lymphoma cell lines. It is noteworthy that the anti-cd TCR antibody could expand both the Vd1 and Vd2 subsets of cd T cells. The in vitro-expanded Vd1 T cells displayed comparable tumour cell-killing activity to Vd2 T cells.Importantly, owing to higher C–C chemokine receptor 4(CCR4)and CCR8 expression, the Vd1 T cells were more prone to infiltrate CCL17-or CCL22-expressing lymphomas than the Vd2 T cells.Characterizing the peripheral blood cd T cells from lymphoma patients further confirmed that the anti-cd TCR antibody-expanded cd T cells could be a more efficacious choice for the treatment of lymphoid malignancies than phosphoantigen-expanded cd T cells.Jianhua Zhou Ning Kang Lianxian Cui Denian Ba Wei He 2012Cellular & Molecular Immunology2012,9,1:17
Magnolol additive as a replacer of antibiotic enhances the growth performance of Linwu ducks显示文摘Magnolol rich in Magnolia officinalis is a bioactive polyphenolic compound. The aim of this study was to examine the effects of magnolol additive(MA) on growth performance, expression levels of antioxidantrelated genes, and intestinal mucosal morphology of Linwu ducks aged from 49 to 70 days, comparing with that of an antibiotic additive(colistin sulfate [CS]). A total of 275,49-day-old ducks were assigned to5 groups with 5 cages of 11 ducks each and fed diets supplemented with 0,100, 200 and 300 mg of MA/kg and 300 mg of CS/kg for 3 weeks, respectively. The results showed that the average daily body weight gain(ADG) was increased significantly in MA-fed groups(200 and 300 mg/kg), compared with the basal diet(BD) group(P < 0.05). The mRNA levels of superoxide dismutase-1(SOD1), manganese superoxide dismutase-2(MnSOD2) and catalase(CAT) were also increased significantly in MA groups(P < 0.05). In addition, hematoxylin and eosin staining revealed that Linwu ducks fed the diets with MA had more intact intestinal mucosa than those fed the BD and CS diets. In addition, ileal villus height, ileal villus height/crypt depth ratio(V/C) and duodenal V/C were also improved significantly(P < 0.05). Taken together, these data demonstrated that MA is an effective feed additive to enhance the growth performance of the Linwu ducks by improving the antioxidant and intestinal mucosal status, suggesting that MA will be a potential additive to replace antibiotic(CS).Qian Lin Jianfei Zhao Kun Xie Yushi Wang Guili Hu Guitao Jiang Qiuzhong Dai Zhiyong Fan Jianhua He Xi He De-Xing Hou 2017Animal Nutrition2017,,2:14
Inhibitory effect of blue honeysuckle extract on high-fat-diet-induced fatty liver in mice显示文摘Blue honeysuckle is rich in polyphenols, and recently receiving attention because of its potential antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is the leading cause of chronic liver disease that develops hepatic inflammation and metabolic syndrome. The present study aims to study the effect of blue honeysuckle extract(BHE) on fat deposition and hepatic lipid peroxidation in a high-fat-diet(HFD)-induced mouse model. Mice were fed a normal diet(ND) or a HFD containing 0.5% or 1% of BHE or not for 45 d. Liver sections were stained by hematoxylin-eosin staining.Serum lipids were measured by a clinical analyzer. Insulin was examined by ELISA, and hepatic proteins were detected by Western blotting. Dietary supplementation of BHE dose-dependently suppressed HFD-induced obesity and hepatic fat deposition. Moreover, BHE improved glucose metabolism by increasing insulin sensitivity and attenuated oxidative stress potentially by up-regulating nuclear factor(erythroid-derived 2)-like 2(Nrf2)-mediated pathway.Ming Liu Jijun Tan Ziyu He Xi He De-Xing Hou Jianhua He Shusong Wu 2018Animal Nutrition2018,,3:13
Dietary protocatechuic acid ameliorates inflammation and up-regulates intestinal tight junction proteins by modulating gut microbiota in LPS-challenged piglets显示文摘Background: Weaning is one of the major factors that cause stress and intestinal disease in piglets. Protocatechuic acid(PCA) is an active plant phenolic acid which exists in Chinese herb, Duzhong(Eucommia ulmoides Oliver), and is also considered as the main bioactive metabolite of polyphenol against oxidative stress and inflammation. This study aimed to investigate the effect of PCA on growth performance, intestinal barrier function, and gut microbiota in a weaned piglet model challenged with lipopolysaccharide(LPS).Methods: Thirty-six piglets(Pig Improvement Company line 337 × C48, 28 d of age, 8.87 kg ± 0.11 kg BW) were randomly allocated into 3 treatments and fed with a basal diet(CTL), a diet added 50 mg/kg of aureomycin(AUR), or a diet supplemented with 4000 mg/kg of PCA, respectively. The piglets were challenged with LPS(10 μg/kg BW) on d 14 and d 21 by intraperitoneal injection during the 21-d experiment. Animals(n = 6 from each group) were sacrificed after being anesthetized by sodium pentobarbital at 2 h after the last injection of LPS. The serum was collected for antioxidant indices and inflammatory cytokines analysis, the ileum was harvested for detecting mRNA and protein levels of tight junction proteins by PCR and immunohistochemical staining, and the cecum chyme was collected for intestinal flora analysis using 16 S rRNA gene sequencing. Results: Dietary supplementation of PCA or AUR significantly increased the expression of tight junction proteins including ZO-1 and claudin-1 in intestinal mucosa, and decreased the serum levels of thiobarbituric acid reactive substances(TBARS) and IL-6, as compared with CTL group. In addition, PCA also decreased the serum levels of IL-2 and TNF-α(P < 0.05). Analysis of gut microbiota indicated that PCA increased the Firmicutes/Bacteroidetes ratio(P < 0.05). Spearman's correlation analysis at the genus level revealed that PCA reduced the relative abundance of Prevotella 9, Prevotella 2, Holdemanella, and Ruminococcus torques group(P < 0.05), and increased the relative abundance of Roseburia and Desulfovibrio(P < 0.05), whereas AUR had no significant effect on these bacteria. Conclusions: These results demonstrated that both PCA and AUR had protective effect on oxidative stress, inflammation and intestinal barrier function in piglets challenged with LPS, and PCA potentially exerted the protective function by modulating intestinal flora in a way different from AUR.Ruizhi Hu Ziyu He Ming Liu Jijun Tan Hongfu Zhang De-Xing Hou Jianhua He Shusong Wu 2021Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2021,12,1:12
Full-color quantum dots active matrix display fabricated by ink-jet printing显示文摘Making full-color active matrix display based on quantum dot light emitting diodes(AM-QLEDs) via ink-jet printing is attractive in display industry due to QLEDs' wide color gamut and their potential manufacturing advantages of large screen size and low cost. The challenges for realizing AM-QLED display are how to achieve high quality films through ink-jet printing, multi-color patterning, electroluminescence(EL) color purity, and high efficiency. Herein, a 2-inch diagonal full-color AM-QLEDs display with pixel density of 120 pixels per inch(PPI) fabricated by ink-jet printing technique is presented. Driven by a metal oxide TFT(MOTFT) back-panel, the display exhibits a maximum brightness of 400 cd m.2, and a color gamut of 109%(NTSC 1931). The red, green, and blue(RGB) monochrome QLEDs passive matrix panels fabricated by ink-jet printing technique have a current efficiency(CE) of 2.5, 13.9, and 0.30 cd A.1, respectively. To the best of our knowledge, the efficiencies are the highest among passive matrix QLEDs panels made by ink-jet printing technique. The ink-jet printed QDs films show good thickness uniformity due to high viscosity and low volatility of the printable inks, and no cross-contamination between adjacent pixels resulting from the hydrophobic pixel defining layer.Congbiao Jiang Lan Mu Jianhua Zou Zhiwei He Zhenji Zhong Lei Wang Miao Xu Jian Wang Junbiao Peng Yong Cao 2017Science China Chemistry2017,60,10:10
First six months quality assessment of HY-2A SCAT wind products using in situ measurements显示文摘The first Chinese microwave ocean environment satellite HY-2A,carrying a Ku-band scatteromenter(SCAT),was successfully launched in August 2011.The first quality assessment of HY-2A SCAT wind products is presented through the comparison of the first 6 months operationally released SCAT products with in situ data. The in situ winds from the National Data Buoy Center(NDBC)buoys,R/V Polarstern,Aurora Australis,Roger Revelle and PY30-1 oil platform, were converted to the 10 m equivalent neutral winds. The temporal and spatial differences between the HY-2A SCAT and the in situ observations were limited to less than 5min and 12.5 km.For HY-2A SCAT wind speed products, the comparison and analysis using the NDBC buoys yield a bias of–0.49 m/s,a root mean square error(RMSE)of 1.3 m/s and an increase negative bias with increasing wind speed observation above 3 m/s.Although less accurate of HY-2A SCAT wind direction at low winds, the RMSE of 19.19 with a bias of 0.92 is found for wind speeds higher than 3 m/s.These results are found consistent with those from R/Vs and oil platform comparisons. Moreover, the NDBC buoy comparison results also suggest that the accuracy of HY-2A SCAT winds is consistent over the first half year of 2012.The encouraging assessment results over the first 6 months show that wind products from HY-2A SCAT will be useful for scientific community.WANG He ZHU Jianhua LIN Mingsen HUANG Xiaoqi ZHAO Yili CHEN Chuntao ZHANG Youguang PENG Hailong 2013Acta Oceanologica Sinica2013,32,11:10
Road Centrality and Landscape Spatial Patterns in Wuhan Metropolitan Area,China显示文摘Road network is a corridor system that interacts with surrounding landscapes, and understanding their interaction helps to develop an optimal plan for sustainable transportation and land use. This study investigates the relationships between road centrality and landscape patterns in the Wuhan Metropolitan Area,China. The densities of centrality measures, including closeness, betweenness, and straightness, are calculated by kernel density estimation(KDE).The landscape patterns are characterized by four landscape metrics, including percentage of landscape(PLAND),Shannon′s diversity index(SHDI),mean patch size(MPS),and mean shape index(MSI).Spearman rank correlation analysis is then used to quantify their relationships at both landscape and class levels. The results show that the centrality measures can reflect the hierarchy of road network as they associate with road grade.Further analysis exhibit that as centrality densities increase, the whole landscape becomes more fragmented and regular. At the class level, the forest gradually decreases and becomes fragmented, while the construction land increases and turns to more compact. Therefore, these findings indicate that the ability and potential applications of centrality densities estimated by KDE in quantifying the relationships between roads and landscapes, can provide detailed information and valuable guidance for transportation and land-use planning as well as a new insight into ecological effects of roads.LIU Yaolin WANG Huimin JIAO Limin LIU Yanfang HE Jianhua AI Tinghua 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,4:9
Land-Use Spatial Optimization Based on PSO Algorithm显示文摘The optimization of land-use spatio-structure is one of the most important areas of land use management;constructing a spatial optimization model that is based on the micro spatial unit in a bottom-up mode plays an important role in coupling the quan-tity structure and spatial structure effectively. The objective of this research is to develop a land use spatial optimization model based on particle swarm optimization to make spatial decision in land use management. The model is implemented using real data-sets to emulate the process of spatial structure optimization in order to get the best landscape pattern under the control of decision environments.Simulation results revealed that the particle swarm optimization model has the ability to utilize the quantity and spa-tial structure.Furthermore, the result demonstrated that it can be used to stimulate the landscape pattern in designing the appropriate optimization environment, which could land quantity target to the basic spatial units effectively and provide appropriate spa-tio-structure for regional land use space layout decision making.MA Shifa HE Jianhua LIU Feng YU Yan 2011Geo-Spatial Information Science2011,14,1:8

Multi-omics analyses of 398 foxtail millet accessions reveal genomic regions associated with domestication, metabolite traits, and antiinflammatory effects显示文摘Foxtail millet(Setaria italica),which was domesticatedfromthewild speciesgreenfoxtail(Setaria viridis),isa richsource of phytonutrientsfor humans. To evaluate how breeding changed themetabolome offoxtail millet grains,we generated and analyzed the datasets encompassing the genomes, transcriptomes, metabolomes, and anti-inflammatory indices from 398 foxtail millet accessions. We identified hundreds of common variants that influence numerous secondary metabolites. We observed tremendous differences in natural variations of the metabolites and their underlying genetic architectures between distinct sub-groups of foxtail millet.Furthermore,we found that the selection of the gene alleles associated with yellow grains led to altered profiles of metabolites such as carotenoids and endogenous phytohormones.Using CRiSPR-mediated genome editing wevalidated the function of PHYTOENE SYNTHASE1(PSY1)gene in affecting milletgrain colorand quality.Interestingly, our in vitro cell inflammation assays showed that 83 metabolites in millet grains have anti-inflammatory effects.Taken together,ourmulti-omics study illustrates how the breeding history of foxtail millet has shaped its metabolite profile. The datasets we generated in this study also provide important resources for further understanding how millet grain quality is affected by different metabolites, laying the foundations for future millet genetic research and metabolome-assisted improvement.Xukai Li Jianhua Gao Jingyi Song Kai Guo Siyu Hou Xingchun Wang Qiang He Yanyan Zhang Yakun Zhang Yulu Yang Jiaoyan Tang Hailang Wang Staffan Persson Mingquan Huang Lishuai Xu Linlin Zhong Dongqin Li Yongming Liu Hua Wu Xianmin Diao Peng Chen Xiaowen Wang Yuanhuai Han 2022Molecular Plant2022,15,8:8
The investigation on particulate organic carbon fluxes with disequilibria between thorium-234 and uranium-238 in the Prydz Bay,the Southern Ocean显示文摘Dissolved and particulate thorium-234, particulate organic carbon in the upper 150 m of water columns from five stations in the Prydz Bay, the Southern Ocean were determined during the 22nd Chinese National Antarctic Research Expedition (from November 2005 to March 2006). The disequilibria between thorium-234 and its parent uranium-238 in upper layer was used to derive the averaged residence time of thorium-234, which decreased along with the latitude to the south and a minimum value, 1~8 d for particulate thorium-234 and 29~48 d for dissolved thorium-234, appeared at the medium latitude station, and the export fluxes of thorium-234 were calculated too and a maximum value, 0.35~0.63 Bq/(m3·d) for the particulate thorium-234 and 0.44~0.65 Bq/(m3·d) for the dissolved thorium-234, appeared at the same station. The export fluxes of particulate organic carbon at different water columns were derived by two methods with irreversible scavenging model, and the averaged values were 104.7 mmol/ (m2·d) (E method) and 120.6 mmol/(m2·d) (B method), respectively, indicating that a relatively high new production would exist in summer in the Prydz Bay where it will play a potential significant role in sequestering the absorption CO2 to deeper ocean.HE Jianhua MA Hao CHEN Liqi XIANG Baoqiang ZENG Xianzhang YINMingduan ZENG Wenyi 2008Acta Oceanologica Sinica2008,27,2:8
Clinical characterization and diagnosis of cystic fibrosis throughexome sequencing in Chinese infants with Bartter-syndrome-like hypokalemia alkalosis显示文摘Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a fatal autosomal-recessive disease caused by mutations in the CFtransmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) gene. CF is characterized by recurrent pulmonary infectionwith obstructive pulmonary disease. CF is common in the Caucasian population but is rare in the Chinesepopulation. The symptoms of early-stage CF are often untypical and may sometimes manifest as Bartter syndrome(BS)-like hypokalemic alkalosis. Therefore, the ability of doctors to differentiate CF from BS-like hypokalemicalkalosis in Chinese infants is a great challenge in the timely and accurate diagnosis of CF. In China, sporadic CFhas not been diagnosed in children younger than three years of age to date. Three infants, who were initiallyadmitted to our hospital over the period of June 2013 to September 2014 with BS-like hypokalemic alkalosis, werediagnosed with CF through exome sequencing and sweat chloride measurement. The compound heterozygousmutations of the CFTR gene were detected in two infants, and a homozygous missense mutation was found in oneinfant. Among the six identified mutations, two are novel point mutations (c.1526G 〉 C and c.3062C 〉 T) that arepossibly pathogenic. The three infants are the youngest Chinese patients to have been diagnosed with sporadic CFat a very early stage. Follow-up examination showed that all of the cases remained symptom-free after earlyintervention, indicating the potential benefit of very early diagnosis and timely intervention in children with CF.Our results demonstrate the necessity of distinguishing CF from BS in Chinese infants with hypokalemic alkalosisand the significant diagnostic value of powerful exome sequencing for rare genetic diseases. Furthermore, ourfindings expand the CFTR mutation spectrum associated with CF.Liru Qiu Fengjie Yang Yonghua He Huiqing Yuan Jianhua Zhou 2018Frontiers of Medicine2018,12,5:7
