1A review of topology optimization for additive manufacturing:Status and challenges显示文摘Topology optimization was developed as an advanced structural design methodology to generate innovative lightweight and high-performance configurations that are difficult to obtain with conventional ideas.Additive manufacturing is an advanced manufacturing technique building asdesigned structures via layer-by-layer joining material,providing an alternative pattern for complex components.The integration of topology optimization and additive manufacturing can make the most of their advantages and potentials,and has wide application prospects in modern manufacturing.This article reviews the main content and applications of the research on the integration of topology optimization and additive manufacturing in recent years,including multi-scale or hierarchical structural optimization design and topology optimization considering additive manufacturing constraints.Meanwhile,some challenges of structural design approaches for additive manufacturing are discussed,such as the performance characterization and scale effects of additively manufactured lattice structures,the anisotropy and fatigue performance of additively manufactured material,and additively manufactured functionally graded material issues,etc.It is shown that in the research of topology optimization for additive manufacturing,the integration of material,structure,process and performance is important to pursue high-performance,multi-functional and lightweight production.This article provides a reference for further related research and aerospace applications.Jihong ZHU Han ZHOU Chuang WANG Lu ZHOU Shangqin YUAN Weihong ZHANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,1:33
2Multi-scale design and optimization for solid-lattice hybrid structures and their application to aerospace vehicle components显示文摘By integrating topology optimization and lattice-based optimization,a novel multi-scale design method is proposed to create solid-lattice hybrid structures and thus to improve the mechanical performance as well as reduce the structural weight.To achieve this purpose,a two-step procedure is developed to design and optimize the innovative structures.Initially,the classical topology optimization is utilized to find the optimal material layout and primary load carrying paths.Afterwards,the solid-lattice hybrid structures are reconstructed using the finite element mesh based modeling method.And lattice-based optimization is performed to obtain the optimal crosssection area of the lattice structures.Finally,two typical aerospace structures are optimized to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed optimization framework.The numerical results are quite encouraging since the solid-lattice hybrid structures obtained by the presented approach show remarkably improved performance when compared with traditional designs.Chuang WANG Jihong ZHU Manqiao WU Jie HOU Han ZHOU Lu MENG Chenyang LI Weihong ZHANG 2021Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,5:14
3Dopamine D4 Receptor Gene Associated with the Frontal-Striatal-Cerebellar Loop in Children with ADHD: A Resting-State fMRI Study显示文摘Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder(ADHD)is a common childhood neuropsychiatric disorder that has been linked to the dopaminergic system. This study aimed to investigate the effects of regulation of the dopamine D4 receptor(DRD4) on functional brain activity during the resting state in ADHD children using the methods of regional homogeneity(Re Ho) and functional connectivity(FC). Resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging data were analyzed in 49 children with ADHD. All participants were classified as either carriers of the DRD44-repeat/4-repeat(4 R/4 R) allele(n = 30) or the DRD42-repeat(2 R) allele(n = 19). The results showed that participants with the DRD4 2 R allele had decreased Re Ho bilaterally in the posterior lobes of the cerebellum, while Re Ho was increased in the left angular gyrus. Compared with participants carrying the DRD4 4 R/4 R allele, those with the DRD4 2 R allele showed decreased FC to the left angular gyrus in the left striatum, right inferior frontal gyrus, and bilateral lobes of the cerebellum. The increased FC regions included the left superior frontal gyrus, medial frontal gyrus, and rectus gyrus. These data suggest that the DRD4 polymorphisms are associated with localized brain activity and specific functional connections, including abnormality in the frontal-striatal-cerebellar loop. 4Retransmission or redundancy:Transmission reliability study in wireless sensor networks显示文摘As an application-driven network,wireless sensor network generally requires data reliability to maintain detection and response capabilities.Although two approaches,namely,retransmission and redundancy,have been proposed to enhance data reliability,the theoretical work is required to evaluate their impact on transmission reliability and energy efficiency.In this paper,we offer a comprehensive theoretical study on packet arrival probability and average energy consumption for both approaches.Our analysis and simulations indicate that when loss probabilities remain low or moderate,erasure coding,a typical redundancy-based scheme,is more energy efficient than retransmission.We also demonstrate that the resistance capability of erasure coding against packet loss weakens as the hop number increases,which motivates us to propose two improved mechanism based on the idea of the loss detection and the loss recovery.Finally,the simulation results carried out using TOSSIM verify the performance of different mechanisms both in the chain topology and the tree topology.WEN Hao LIN Chuang REN FengYuan ZHOU Jia YUE Yao HUANG XiaoMeng 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,4:7
5Separation and purification of deoxynivalenol(DON) mycotoxin from wheat culture using a simple two-step silica gel column chromatography显示文摘Deoxynivalenol(DON) is a type B trichothecenes mycotoxin produced by several Fusarium species, often found in foodstuffs for humans and animals. DON is in great demand for the toxicological researches both in vivo and in vitro. In this work, wheat culture was inoculated with a Fusarium graminearum PH-1 strain for DON production. The solvent system for crude extraction was acetonitrile-water(84:16, v/v). A simple two-step silica gel column chromatography was employed to separate the DON mycotoxin from wheat culture, combined with preparative high performance liquid chromatography(preparative HPLC) to purify the compound. The solvent system for the second silica gel column chromatography was methylene chloride-methanol(17:1, v/v), which provided a good elution effect selected on thin layer chromatography(TLC). The target compound was identified by HPLC, and the chemical structure was confirmed by mass spectrometry(MS) and ~1H and ^(13)C nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) spectroscopy. A total of 433 mg of purified DON was obtained from 1 kg of wheat culture, with a purity of 99.01%. 6Effect of Post-weld Heat Treatment on Properties of Friction Welded Joint Between TC4 Titanium Alloy and 40Cr Steel Rods显示文摘Dissimilar metal joining of Ti–6Al–4V(TC4) titanium alloy to as-rolled 40 Cr steel rods was conducted with friction welding, and the effect of post-weld heat treatment(PWHT) on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the resultant joints was investigated. The average tensile strength of the as-welded joints reached 766 MPa and failure occurred in 40 Cr steel base metal. However, after PWHT at 600 °C for 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 h, the tensile strength of the joints decreased and fracture happened through the interface with quasi-cleavage features. The bending angle of specimens was improved from 9.6° in as-welded state to 32.5° after PWHT for 2 h. The tensile strength of the joint was enhanced by martensitic transformation near the interface in as-welded state. Sorbite formed near the interface in PWHT state and improved the bending ductility of the joint. Ti C brittle phase formed at the interface after PWHT for 0.5 h and deteriorated the tensile strength and bending ductility of the joint. After PWHT for 2 h, no Ti C phase was detected at the interface. 7Altered Motor-Striatal Plasticity and Cortical Functioning in Patients with Schizophrenia显示文摘Patients with schizophrenia undergo changes in brain plasticity. In the present study, we characterized motor cortical-striatal plasticity in such patients. Compared with the potentiation following high-frequency repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation in the control group, the patients demonstrated impaired plasticity of corticostriatal motor-evoked potentials recorded from hand muscles.Notably, the loss of cortical plasticity was correlated with impaired motor learning in a rotary pursuit task. Moreover,the loss of plasticity was correlated with the symptoms of schizophrenia. 8The study on the mechanical properties of PU/MF double shell self-healing microcapsules显示文摘The self-healing microcapsules can be buried in the coating to improve the anticorrosive ability.In this paper,self-healing microcapsules of polyurea(PU)/melamine resin(MF)double shell were prepared by in-situ polymerization and interfacial polymerization with isocyanate as the core material.Scanning electron microscope was used to observe the microcapsule morphology.The structures of microcapsules prepared with different chain extenders were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The micromanipulation system was used to loading–holding,loading–unloading and loading to rupture individual microcapsules,so as to explore the mechanical properties of microcapsules.The Young’s modulus corresponding to microcapsules was calculated by mathematical model fitting.The self-healing properties of microcapsule coating were characterized by optical microscope.The experimental results showed that the microcapsule shell prepared under optimized conditions had a complete morphology and good mechanical properties.The microcapsule was in the elastic deformation stage under small deformation,and the plastic deformation stage under large deformation.The Young’s modulus range of microcapsules was 9.29–14.51 MPa,and the corresponding Young’s modulus could be prepared by adjusting the process.The surface crack of the coating containing microcapsule could heal itself after48 h in a humid environment.Guohao Du Jianfeng Hu Jianhui Zhou Guangwu Wang Shengli Guan Hailing Liu Man Geng Chuang Lv Yaoqiang Ming Jinqing Qu 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,5:4

10An effective thermal conductivity model for unsaturated compacted bentonites with consideration of bimodal shape of pore size distribution显示文摘An effective thermal conductivity model was proposed for unsaturated compacted bentonites with consideration of the bimodal shape of pore size distribution curves.The pores of soils were grouped into two dominant pore size modes corresponding to the intra-and inter-particle pores,and were simulated with randomly distributed spheroidal inclusions of different aspect ratios.With the assumption of preferential invasion of the wetting fluid(water)into pores of smaller sizes and by virtue of the analytical solution to the inhomogeneous inclusion problem in heat conduction,the model was developed using the Mori-Tanaka(MT),Ponte Casta?eda-Willis(PCW)and self-consistent(SC)homogenization approaches for different considerations of the interactions between pores and the solid phase.The proposed model is functions of the thermal conductivities of the solid,liquid and gas phases,porosity,the degree of saturation,the aspect ratios of pores and/or soil particles,and the fraction of the smaller group of pores.The proposed model was validated against five sets of laboratory measurement data on the MX-80,FEBEX,Kunigel-V1 and GMZ01 bentonites,showing a good agreement between the model predictions and the laboratory measurements.The responses of the model with respect to the geometries of pores and solid particles were examined.Compared to series-parallel structural models,the proposed model may overall exhibit better performance if proper homogenization schemes are adopted,but as an advantage,the model has clearer physical mechanisms and a smaller number of parameters.CHEN Yi Feng WANG Min ZHOU Song HU Ran ZHOU Chuang Bing 2015Science China(Technological Sciences)2015,58,2:3
11中国海相黏土的压缩指数的EPR-RCGA回归模型和RMSE-AIC-BIC模型选择及其工程应用(英文)显示文摘目的:压缩指数是软土工程领域的关键参数。本文旨在提出一个基于进化多项式回归和实编码遗传算法(EPR-RCGA)的回归分析方法,将压缩指数与物理特性建立相关关系并应用于工程实践。创新点:结合EPR和RCGA方法,将中国沿海21个不同区域的黏土的压缩性指数与天然含水率和液塑限之间建立相关关系,并采用均方根误差(RMSE)、赤池信息量准则(AIC)和贝叶斯信息准则(BIC)对所建立的不同回归模型进行优选。方法:1.从文献中收集中国沿海21个地区的黏土的压缩指数和常见的基本物理性质,并对数据进行整理和分类。2.进行压缩指数和天然含水量及液塑限之间的EPR回归关系分析,并采用新近提出的RCGA优化方法来提高回归关系的精度。3.采用RMSE、AIC和BIC对不同组合下的回归关系进行优选,并确定最佳回归关系。4.将得到的关系式应用到有限元路堤计算来验证所得关系式的实用性和准确性。结论:1.本文提出的压缩指数关系式比现有的经验公式更好,预测得到的压缩指数更为精确。2.采用所提出的压缩指数回归模型预测了东南沿海一路堤下不同土层的压缩指数,并应用所得数据和有限元方法对路堤的沉降进行了模拟分析,验证了所提方法的可靠性。3.所有结果表明,结合基于EPR和RCGA的回归分析方法以及基于RMSE、AIC和BIC的模型选择方法对分析压缩指数与黏土的物理性质的相关关系是切实可行的,可以更好地服务于中国沿海地区的工程设计。Ze-xiang WU Hui JI Chuang YU Cheng ZHOU 2018Journal of Zhejiang University-Science A(Applied Physics & Engineering)2018,19,3:3

14Effects of Sm-doping on microstructure,magnetic and microwave absorption properties of BiFeO_(3)显示文摘In this paper,polycrystalline samples of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3)(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15) were successfully synthesized by sol-gel method.The effects of Sm concentration on the crystal structure,morphology,chemical states,magnetic properties and microwave absorption performance were studied by X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),a vibrating sample magnetometer(VSM) and a Vector network analyzer(VNA),respectively.The results show that the rare earth Sm doping causes the crystal structure to change.When x≤0.1,Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) is the distorted rhombohedral structure with space group R3c.With the increase of Sm doping amount to x=0.15,the phase structure of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) changes from rhombohedral structure to cubic structure with the space group Pm3 m.The particle size decreases with the increase of the Sm doping amount.The analysis results show that Sm doping can effectively reduce the oxygen vacancies and significantly improve its magnetic properties.The results exhibit that moderately doped rare earth Sm element can effectively improve microwave absorption properties of Bi_(1-x)Sm_(x)FeO_(3) powders.When Sm doping amount of x is 0.1,the Bi_(0.9)Sm_(0.1)FeO_(3) compound has good microwave absorption performance,and the minimum reflection loss value of Bi_(0.9)Sm_(0.1)FeO_(3) powder reaches about-32.9 dB at11.7 GHz,and its effective absorption bandwidth(RL <-10 dB) is 2.6 GHz with the optimal matching thickness of 2.0 mm.Chuang Tian Qingrong Yao Zhaofei Tong Huaiying Zhou Guanghui Rao Jianqiu Deng Zhongmin Wang Jiang Wang 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,7:3
15Minor-alloyed Cu-Ni-Si alloys with high hardness and electric conductivity designed by a cluster formula approach显示文摘Cu-Ni-Si alloys are widely used due to their good electrical conductivities in combination with high strength and hardness. In the present work, minor-alloying with M =(Cr, Fe, Mo, Zr) was conducted for the objective of further improving their hardness while maintaining their conductivity level. A cluster-plus-glue-atom model was introduced to design the compositions of M-alloyed Cu-Ni-Si alloys, in which an ideal composition formula[(Ni,Si,M)-Cu_(12)]Cu_3(molar proportion) was proposed. To guarantee the complete precipitation of solute elements in fine δ-Ni_2 Si precipitates, the atomic ratio of(Ni,M)/Si was set as 2/1. Thus the designed alloy series of Cu_(93.75)(Ni/Zr)_(3.75)Si_(2.08)(Cr/Fe/Mo)_(0.42)(at%) were arc-melted into ingots under argon atmosphere, and solidsolutioned at 950 ℃ for 1 h plus water quenching and then aged at 450 ℃ for different hours. The experimental results showed that these designed alloys exhibit high hardness(HV> 1.7 GPa) and good electrical conductivities(≥ 35% IACS). 16Simultaneous evaluation of two branches of a multifunctional integrated optic chip with an ultra-simple dual-channel configuration显示文摘We propose an ultra-simple dual-channel configuration for simultaneously evaluating two branches of a multifunctional integrated optic chip(MFIOC). In the configuration, the MFIOC is employed as a beam splitter to construct the demodulation interferometer together with a 2 × 2 fiber coupler. Interference happens between polarization modes traveling through different channels of the MFIOC. The cross-couplings of each channel are respectively characterized by the interference peaks which distribute on opposite sides of the central interference peak. Temperature responses of the MFIOC are experimentally measured from-40°C to 80°C. Results show that the proposed configuration can achieve simultaneous dual-channel transient measurements with resolution of-90 d B and dynamic range of 90 d B. 17Discrete unified gas kinetic scheme for multiscale anisotropic radiative heat transfer显示文摘In this work,a discrete unified gas kinetic scheme(DUGKS)is developed for radiative transfer in anisotropic scattering media.The method is an extension of a previous one for isotropic radiation problems[1].The present scheme is a finite-volume discretization of the anisotropic gray radiation equation,where the anisotropic scattering phase function is approximated by the Legendre polynomial expansion.With the coupling of free transport and scattering processes in the reconstruction of the flux at cell interfaces,the present DUGKS has the nice unified preserving properties such that the cell size is not limited by the photon mean free path even in the optical thick regime.Several one-and two-dimensional numerical tests are conducted to validate the performance of the present DUGKS,and the numerical results demonstrate that the scheme is a reliable method for anisotropic radiative heat transfer problems.Xinliang Song Chuang Zhang Xiafeng Zhou Zhaoli Guo 2020Advances in Aerodynamics2020,2,1:2
18Temperature sensitivity of organic compound destruction in SCWO process显示文摘To study the temperature sensitivity of the destruction of organic compounds in supercritical water oxidation process(SCWO), oxidation effects of twelve chemicals in supercritical water were investigated. The SCWO reaction rates of different compounds improved to varying degrees with the increase of temperature, so the highest slope of the temperature-effect curve(imax) was defined as the maximum ratio of removal ratio to working temperature. It is an important index to stand for the temperature sensitivity effect in SCWO. It was proven that the higher imax is, the more significant the effect of temperature on the SCWO effect is. Since the high-temperature area of SCWO equipment is subject to considerable damage from fatigue, the temperature is of great significance in SCWO equipment operation. Generally, most compounds(imax > 0.25) can be completely oxidized when the reactor temperature reaches 500℃. However, some compounds(imax > 0.25) need a higher temperature for complete oxidation, up to 560℃. To analyze the correlation coefficients between imax and various molecular descriptors, a quantum chemical method was used in this study. The structures of the twelve organic compounds were optimized by the Density Functional Theory B3LYP/6-311G method, as well as their quantum properties. It was shown that six molecular descriptors were negatively correlated to imax while other three descriptors were positively correlated to imax. Among them, dipole moment had the greatest effect on the oxidation thermodynamics of the twelve organic compounds. 19Spectroscopic signatures of edge states in hexagonal boron nitride显示文摘We use Z-contrast imaging and atomically resolved electron energy-loss spectroscopy on an aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscope to investigate the local electronic states of boron atoms at different edge structures in monolayer and bilayer h-BN.We find that edges with bonding unsaturated sp2 boron atoms have a unique spectroscopic signature with a prominent pre-peak at - 190.2 eV in the B K-edge fine structure.First-principles calculations reveal that the observed pre-peak arises from excitations to the in-plane lowest-energy empty sp2 boron dangling bonds at the B-terminated edge.This spectroscopic signature can serve as a fingerprint to explore new edge structures in h-BN.Chuang Gao Lei Tao Yu-Yang Zhang Shixuan Du Sokrates T.
