| 1 | SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating for volcanic rocks of the Dasi Formation in southeast Hubei Province,middle-lower reaches of the Yangtze River and its implications显示文摘The Jinniu Basin in southeast Hubei,located at the westernmost part of middle-lower val-ley of the Yangtze River,is one of the important vol-canic basins in East China. Volcanic rocks in the Jin-niu Basin are distributed mainly in the Majiashan Formation,the Lingxiang Formation and the Dasi Formation,consisting of rhyolite,basalt and basaltic andesite,(trachy)-basalt and basaltic trachy-andesite and (trachy)-andesite and (trachy)-dacite and rhyolite respectively,in which the Dasi volcanism is volumet-rically dominant and widespread. The Dasi volcanic rocks were selected for SHRIMP zircon U-Pb dating to confirm the timing of volcanism. The results indi-cate that there exist a large amount of magmatic zir-cons characterized by high U and Th contents in the volcanic rocks. The concordia ages for 13 points are 128 ± 1Ma (MSWD = 3.0). On account of the shape of zircons and Th/U ratios,this age is considered to represent the crystallization time of the Dasi volcan-ism. The volcanic rocks in the Dasi,Majiashan and Lingxiang Formations share similar trace elementand REE partition patterns as well as Sr-Nd isotopic compositions. In combination with the regional geol-ogy,it is proposed that the southeast Hubei volcanic rocks were formed mainly during the Early Creta-ceous,just like other volcanic basins in middle-lower Yangtze valley. | 3 | Comparison of stratospheric evolution during the major sudden stratospheric warming events in 2018 and 2019显示文摘Using Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2(MERRA-2)data in the northern hemisphere at the 10 hPa level,we compared the stratospheric evolution of temperature and geopotential height during two major sudden stratosphere warming events(SSWs)that occurred in the Arctic winter of 2018 and 2019.In the prewarming period,poleward temperature-enhanced regions were mainly located around 120°E with a displaced vortex and around 120°E and 60°W with splitting vortices.The evolution of geopotential height indicated that these temperature-enhanced regions were both on the western side of high-latitude anticyclones.In the postwarming period,the polar vortex turned from splitting to displacement in the 2018 SSW but from displacement to splitting in the 2019 SSW.Both transitions were observed over the Atlantic region,which may have been caused by anticyclones moving through the polar region.Our findings revealed that the evolution of the anticyclone is important during SSWs and is closely related to temperature-enhanced regions in the prewarming periods and to transitions of the polar vortices in postwarming periods. | Zheng Ma Yun Gong ShaoDong Zhang JiaHui Luo QiHou Zhou ChunMing Huang KaiMing Huang | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,5: | 2 |
| 4 | Characteristics of the quasi-16-day wave in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere region as revealed by meteor radar,Aura satellite,and MERRA2 reanalysis data from 2008 to 2017显示文摘This study presents an analysis of the quasi-16-day wave(Q16DW)at three stations in the middle latitudes by using a meteor radar chain in conjunction with Aura Microwave Limb Sounder temperature data and MERRA2(Modern-Era Retrospective Analysis for Research and Applications,Version 2)reanalysis data from 2008 to 2017.The radar chain consists of three meteor radar stations located at Mohe(MH,53.5°N,122.3°E),Beijing(BJ,40.3°N,116.2°E),and Wuhan(WH,30.5°N,114.6°E).The Q16DW wave exhibits similar seasonal variation in the neutral wind and temperature,and the Q16DW amplitude is generally strong during winter and weak around summer.The Q16DW at BJ was found to have secondary enhancement around September in the zonal wind,which is rarely reported at similar latitudes.The latitudinal variations of the Q16DW in the neutral wind and temperature are quite different.The Q16DW at BJ is the most prominent in both neutral wind components among the three stations and the Q16DW amplitudes at MH and WH are comparable,whereas the wave amplitude in temperature decreases with decreasing latitude.The quasi-geostrophic refractive index squared at the three stations in the period from 2008 to 2017 was revealed.The results indicate that the Q16DW in the mesosphere and lower thermosphere(MLT)at MH has a limited contribution from the lower atmosphere.Around March and October,the Q16DW in the troposphere at BJ can propagate upward into the MLT region,whereas at WH,the contribution to the Q16DW in the MLT region is largely from the mesosphere. | Yun Gong Zheng Ma Chun Li XieDong Lv ShaoDong Zhang QiHou Zhou ChunMing Huang KaiMing Huang You Yu GuoZhu Li | 2020 | Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,3: | 2 |
| 5 | Effects of trace ytterbium addition on microstructure,mechanical and thermal properties of hypoeutectic Al-5Ni alloy显示文摘Over the past decade,the cast aluminum alloys with excellent mechanical and conductivity properties have emerged as potential materials for thermal management.However,the traditional Al-Si based alloys are difficult to make significant breakthrough in conductivity performance.The hypoeutectic Al-5Ni alloy also possesses sound castability and is expected to be applied in thermal management applications.In this study,the effects of ytterbium(Yb element) at 0-0.5 wt% on the microstructures as well as the electrical/thermal conductivity and mechanical properties of the Al-5Ni alloy were systematically investigated.The experimental results indicate that the addition of Yb at a relatively low amount not only reduces the secondary dendrite arm spacing of the α-Al grains,but also modifies the morphology and distribution of eutectic boundary phase.Moreover,it is found that the dosage of Yb at 0.3 wt% in the Al-5Ni alloy can simultaneously improve the yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and electrical/thermal conductivity.The strengthening and toughening of the Al-5Ni alloy are mainly attributed to the decrease of secondary dendrite arm spacing and the improvement of eutectic phases.The transmission electron microscopy/selected area electron diffraction(TEM/SAED) analysis indicates that the ytterbium in Al-5Ni alloy will form Al_(3)Yb phase,which mainly agglomerates in the Al_(3)Ni phase region.This phase is helpful to decrease the solubility of impurity elements(e.g.,Fe and Si) in the α-Al matrix,which is beneficial to electrical/thermal conductivity.The value of this study lays foundation for manufacturing Al-Ni alloys with high thermal conductivity and acceptable mechanical properties. | Kang Wang Shaodong Hu Yanglin Zhong Shuoxun Jin Zirong Zhou Zhiyu Wang Jiongcai Chen Bingbing Wan Wenfang Li | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,8: | 2 |

| 9 | Selective Adsorption and Electrocatalysis of Polysulfides through Hexatomic Nickel Clusters Embedded in N-Doped Graphene toward High-Performance Li-S Batteries显示文摘The shuttle effect hinders the practical application of lithium-sulfur(Li-S)batteries due to the poor affinity between a substrate and Li polysulfides(LiPSs)and the sluggish transition of soluble LiPSs to insoluble Li2S or elemental S.Here,we report that Ni hexatomic clusters embedded in a nitrogen-doped three-dimensional(3D)graphene framework(Ni-N/G)possess stronger interaction with soluble polysulfides than that with insoluble polysulfides.The synthetic electrocatalyst deployed in the sulfur cathode plays a multifunctional role:(i)selectively adsorbing the polysulfides dissolved in the electrolyte,(ii)expediting the sluggish liquid-solid phase transformations at the active sites as electrocatalysts,and(iii)accelerating the kinetics of the electrochemical reaction of multielectron sulfur,thereby inhibiting the dissolution of LiPSs.The constructed S@Ni-N/G cathode delivers an areal capacity of 9.43mAhcm^(-2) at 0.1 C at S loading of 6.8 mg cm^(-2),and it exhibits a gravimetric capacity of 1104mAhg^(-1) with a capacity fading rate of 0.045%per cycle over 50 cycles at 0.2 C at S loading of 2.0 mg cm^(-2).This work opens a rational approach to achieve the selective adsorption and expediting of polysulfide transition for the performance enhancement of Li-S batteries. | Jiapeng Ji Ying Sha Zeheng Li Xuehui Gao Teng Zhang Shiyu Zhou Tong Qiu Shaodong Zhou Liang Zhang Min Ling Yanglong Hou Chengdu Liang | 2020 | Research2020,,1: | 1 |

| 14 | Oxygen-coordinated low-nucleus cluster catalysts for enhanced electrocatalytic water oxidation显示文摘The oxygen evolution reaction(OER)activity of single-atom catalysts(SACs)is closely related to the coordination environment of the active site.Oxygencoordinated atomic metal species bring about unique features beyond nitrogen-coordinated atomic metal species due to the fact that the M-O bond is weaker than the M-N bond.Herein,a series of metal-oxygen-carbon structured low-nucleus clusters(LNCs)are successfully anchored on the surface of multiwalled carbon nanotubes(M-MWCNTs,M=Ni,Co,or Fe)through a foolproof low-temperature gas transfer(300℃)method without any further treatment.The morphology and coordination configuration of the LNCs at the atomic level were confirmed by comprehensive characterizations.The synthetic Ni-MWCNTs electrocatalyst features excellent OER activity and stability under alkaline conditions,transcending the performances of Co-MWCNTs,Fe-MWCNTs and RuO_(2).Density functional theory calculations reveal that the moderate oxidation of low-nucleus Ni clusters changes the unoccupied orbital of Ni atoms,thereby lowering the energy barrier of the OER rate-limiting step and making the OER process more energy-efficient.This study demonstrates a novel versatile platform for large-scale manufacturing of oxygen-coordinated LNC catalysts. | Jiapeng Ji Yunpeng Hou Shiyu Zhou Tong Qiu Liang Zhang Lu Ma Chao Qian Shaodong Zhou Chengdu Liang Min Ling | 2023 | Carbon Energy2023,5,2: | 1 |

| 20 | Effects of Chaiyuwendan decoction on endocannabinoids levels in adipose tissue of rats with chronic stress-induced depression显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate how Chaiyuwendan decoction(CWD)affects endocannabinoid levels in the adipose tissue of depressed rats.METHODS:Twenty-four male Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups with six rats in each.One group was randomly selected as the control group.The remaining three groups were subjected to chronic stress to induce depression.Groups were randomly assigned as a model group,CWD group,and amitriptyline group.CWD was given to the CWD group once a day from the second day of modeling.The amitriptyline group was administered amitriptyline intragastrically(10 mg/kg)once a day.After treatment for 21 days,body weight and fat weight were measured and the levels of N-arachidonoylethanolamine(AEA),2-arachidonoylglycerol(2-AG),and N-palmitoylethanolamine(PEA)in adipose tissue were determined with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry.RESULTS:Compared with the control group,body weight,fat weight,AEA,and PEA were significantly lower,and 2-AG was higher,in the model group(P<0.05,P<0.01).Compared with the model group,body weight,fat weight,the AEA,and PEA levels were significantly higher,and 2-AG level was significantly lower in the CWD group(P<0.05).However,the levels did not differ significantly between the CWD group and the amitriptyline group.CONCLUSION:CWD could regulate the levels of AEA,2-AG,and PEA in rats with depression induced by chronic stress. | Shaodong Chen Manting Lin Xiao Zhao Fan Lu YujieWang Shulei Li BinYan Haihong Zhou | 2014 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2014,34,1: | 0 |
