| 1 | Dissection of genetic overlap of salt tolerance QTLs at the seedling and tillering stages using backcross introgression lines in rice显示文摘QTLs for salt-tolerance(ST)related traits at the seedling and tillering stages were identified using 99 BC2F8 introgression lines(IL)derived from a cross between IR64(indica)as a recurrent parent and Binam(japonica)from Iran as the donor parent.Thirteen QTLs affecting survival days of seedlings(SDS), score of salt toxicity of leaves(SST),shoot K + concentration(SKC)and shoot Na + concentration(SNC) at the seedling stage and 22 QTLs underlying fresh weight of shoots(FW),tiller number per plant(TN) and plant height(PH)at the tillering stage were identified.Most QTLs detected at the tillering stage showed obvious differential expression to salt stress and were classified into three types based on their differential behaviors.Type I included 11 QTLs which were expressed only under the non-stress condition.Type II included five QTLs expressed in the control and the salt stress conditions,and three of them(QPh5,QPh8 and QTn9)had similar quantity and the same direction of gene effect,suggesting their expression was less influenced by salt stress.Type III included six QTLs which were detectable only under salt stress,suggesting that these QTLs were apparently induced by the stress.Thirteen QTLs affecting trait difference or trait stability of ILs between the stress and non-stress conditions were identified and the Binam alleles at all loci except QPh4,QTn2 and QFw2a decreased trait difference.The three QTLs less influenced by the stress and 13 QTLs affecting trait stability were considered as ST QTLs which contributed to ST.Comparing the distribution of QTLs detected at the seedling and tillering stages,most(69%)of them were genetically independent.Only four were the same or adjacent regions on chromosomes 1,2,8 and 11 harboring ST QTLs detected at the two stages,suggesting that partial genetic overlap of ST across the two stages occurs.It is likely,therefore,to develop ST rice variety for both stages by pyramiding of ST QTLs of different stages or selection against the overlapping QTLs between the two stages via marker-assisted selection(MAS). | ZANG JinPing 1 ,SUN Yong 1 ,WANG Yun 1 ,YANG Jing 1 ,LI Fang 1 ,ZHOU YongLi 1 ,ZHU LingHua 1 , Reys JESSICA2,Fotokian MOHAMMADHOSEIN 2,XU JianLong 1&LI ZhiKang 1,2 1Institute of Crop Sciences/National Key Facility for Crop Gene Resources&Genetic Improvement,Chinese Academy of Agricul- tural Sciences,Beijing 100081,China 2International Rice Research Institute,DAPO Box 7777,Metro Manila,Philippines | 2008 | Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,7: | 32 |
| 2 | Diversity and ecological distribution of endophytic fungi associated with medicinal plants显示文摘A total of 973 isolates of endophytic fungi were recovered from 1144 tissue fragments of the six me-dicinal plant species belonging to 4 families collected in the Beijing Botanical Garden. Of these isolates 778 sporulated and were identified into 21 taxa by morphological characteristics. Among the taxa 11 belonged to Coelomycetes, 6 to Ascomycetes, and 4 to Hyphomycetes. Various numbers of endophytic fungi (5―8 taxa) were obtained from each plant. Alternaria alternata was the dominant species in the 6 plants, and Microsphaeropsis conielloides was also dominant in Eucommia ulmoides. There were high colonization rates (47.9%―63.1%) and isolation rates (0.7―0.93) of endophytic fungi, and they were conspicuously higher in twigs than those in leaves in the 6 plants examined. The colonization and isolation rates of endophytic fungi increased with the twig age. | 5 | Inducing effect of Pb(Zr_(0.4)Ti_(0.6))O_3 thin film derived by different processes in BiFeO_3/Pb(Zr_(0.4)Ti_(0.6))O_3 multilayer capacitor at room temperature显示文摘BiFeO3/PZT multilayer capacitor was prepared on Pt(100)/Ti/SiO2/Si(100) substrate. PZT buffer layer was derived by MOCVD method (label: PZT1) and sputtering method (label: PZT2) respectively. XRD analysis indicated that high (110) orientation of BFO in the BFO/PZT1 structure was achieved. SEM analysis indicated a better microstructure in the BFO/PZT1 structure compared with BFO/PZT2. The remnant polarization of the BFO/PZT1 was 82.5 μC/cm2 at an applied voltage of 8 V, compared with that of 25.2 μC/cm2 in the BFO/PZT2 structure. The BFO/PZT1 multilayer exhibited little polarization fatigue (<1.5%) upon 1×1010 switching cycles, at an applied voltage of 4 V. The leakage current density was about 2×10?7 A/cm2 at an applied voltage 4 V, in the BFO/PZT1 capacitor. | 7 | Modal Analysis of Thread off Failure of Oil Round Thread Casing Connection显示文摘The dynamic modal model analysis of the oil casing connection is done by finite element method (FEM), and the first nature frequency, the second nature frequency, the vibration mode shape and the time domain of the node displacement and the element stress variation in the thread connection are gotten. The Von.Mises stresses of the connection in the static and dynamic state are also studied. | 12 | Study of proton resonances in ^(18)Ne via resonant elastic scattering of ^(17)F+p and its astrophysical implication显示文摘The proton resonant properties in 18Ne, which determine the reaction rate of the key stellar 14O(α,p)17F reaction, have been studied by using a technique of proton resonant elastic scattering of 17F+p. A 4.22 MeV/nucleon 17F radioactive ion (RI) beam was produced via a projectile-fragmentation reaction, and separated by a Radioactive Ion Beam Line in Lanzhou (RIBLL). By bombarding a thick (CH2)n target, the energy spectra of the recoiled protons were measured by two ΔE-E silicon telescopes at the center-of-mass scattering angles of θc.m.≈175°±5°, θc.m.≈152°±8°, respectively. Several proton resonances in 18Ne were ob served clearly. A further R-matrix analysis of the experimental data is under way to determine the resonant parameters. | 15 | The First Isochronous Mass Measurements at CSRe显示文摘With the commissioning of the Cooler Storage Ring at the Heavy Ion Research Facility in Lanzhou (HIRFL-CSR),a pilot experiment operating the CSRe in isochronous mode to test the power of HIRFL-CSR for measuring the mass of the short-lived nucleus was performed in December of 2007. The fragments with A/q = 2 of 36Ar were injected into CSRe and their revolution frequencies were measured with a fast time pick-up detector with a thin foil in the circulating path of the ions. The preliminary result is presented.
