NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis is required for HIV-1 gp120- induced neuropathology显示文摘The human immunodeficiency virus-1(HIV-1)envelope protein gp120 is the major contributor to the pathogenesis of HIVassociated neurocognitive disorder(HAND).Neuroinflammation plays a pivotal role in gp120-induced neuropathology, but how gp120 triggers neuroinflammatory processes and subsequent neuronal death remains unknown. Here,we provide evidence that NLRP3 is required for gp120-induced neuroinflammation and neuropathy. Our results showed that gp120-induced NLRP3-dependent pyroptosis and IL-1βproduction in microglia.Inhibition of microglial NLRP3 inflammasome activation alleviated gp120-mediated neuroinflammatory factor release and neuronal injury.Importantly,we showed that chronic administration of MCC950,a novel selective NLRP3 inhibitor,to gp120 transgenic mice not only attenuated neuroinflammation and neuronal death but also promoted neuronal regeneration and restored the impaired neurocognitive function. In conclusion, our data revealed that the NLRP3 inflammasome is important for gp120-induced neuroinflammation and neuropathology and suggest that NLRP3 is a potential novel target for the treatment of HAND. | Xiaolong He Weijun Yang Zhijie Zeng Yi Wei Jie Gao Bao Zhang Li Li Liqun Liu Yu Wan Qing Zeng Zelong Gong Liting Liu Hanyun Zhang Yubin Li Shaojie Yang Tongtong Hu Lixian Wu Eliezer Masliah Shenghe Huang Hong Cao | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3: | 11
Characteristic of Soil Hydro-Physical Properties and Water Dynamics under Different Vegetation Restoration Types显示文摘By combining the observation of the soil profile at field and the chemical and physical analysis in laboratory, a study on the hydro-physical properties of soil in six different vegetation types and the dynamics of water content after rain was conducted in Wanchanggou, Guangyuan City to find out the vegetation types with effective water-conservation functions in order to serve the ecological restoration in the low hill heavy rain area upper the Jialing River. Results showed that:the hydro-physical properties of soil in the mixed Alnus cremastogyne and Cupressua Leyland forest (AcCl) were best. But in the depth of 0-20 cm. The properties of soil in the abandoned cropland (Fm) was better than that in the AcCl. The soil bulk densities varied significantly between the layers of 0-20 cm and 20-40 cm in all the six vegetation types except that in the Robinia pseudoacacia shrub forest (RpII), and the changes of the maximum and the capillary moisture capacity between layers were significant only in the Fm and in the AcCl. Of these stands, the AcCl had the shortest water-absorbing period and the strongest moisture changes in the upper layer (0-15 cm). In the same stand, the deeper the soil layer, the slighter the soil moisture varied, and the longer the soil moisture accumulating process lasted. | MA Zelong GONG Yuanbo HU Tingxing | 2006 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2006,11,4: | 2
Joint observation results of Na layer and ionosphere in Wuhan during the Total Solar Eclipse显示文摘During the total solar eclipse on July 22, 2009 in Wuhan, the joint observation test of Na layer and ionosphere was conducted by using the daytime observation atmospheric lidar and the GPS ionosphere detector. The results show that the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of Na layer density slightly narrowed during the total solar eclipse and broadened after the eclipse, while the height of Na peak slightly decreased in the eclipse and increased after the eclipse. These implying that Na layer changes reflect the rapid process of sunrise and sunset. The ionosphere total electron content(TEC) and the sky background light noise also presented an obvious fluctuation characteristic with the changes of solar irradiation during the process of total solar eclipse. The difference lies in that the changes of FWHM of Na layer atoms are much slower than that of ionosphere, the reason for this might be that the Na layer, after being disturbed by the total solar eclipse, will generate a series of complicated photochemical reactions and momentum transport processes, and then recombine the Na atoms. The Na atoms to be detected by the lidar need a lag process, which rightly conforms to the theoretical simulated results. | CHENG XueWu YANG Yong WANG ZeLong LI FaQuan YANG GuoTao ZHAO ZhengYu GONG Wei WANG JiHong HU Xiong LIN Xin WU XiaoCheng SONG ShaLei GONG ShunSheng | 2016 | Science China Earth Sciences2016,59,2: | 1
A scalable cyberinfrastructure and cloud computing platform for forest aboveground biomass estimation based on the Google Earth Engine显示文摘Earth observation(EO)data, such as high-resolution satellite imagery or LiDAR,has become one primary source for forests Aboveground Biomass(AGB)mapping and estimation. However, managing and analyzing the large amount of globally or locally available EO data remains a great challenge. The Google Earth Engine(GEE),which leverages cloud-computing services to provide powerful capabilities on the management and rapid analysis of various types of EO data, has appeared as an inestimable tool to address this challenge. In this paper,we present a scalable cyberinfrastructure for on-the-fly AGB estimation, statistics, and visualization over a large spatial extent. This cyberinfrastructure integrates state-of-the-art cloud computing applications, including GEE,Fusion Tables, and the Google Cloud Platform(GCP),to establish a scalable, highly extendable, and highperformance analysis environment. Two experiments were designed to demonstrate its superiority in performance over the traditional desktop environment and its scalability in processing complex workflows. In addition,a web portal was developed to integrate the cyberinfrastructure with some visualization tools(e.g.Google Maps,Highcharts)to provide a Graphical User Interfaces(GUI)and online visualization for both general public and geospatial researchers. | Zelong Yang Wenwen Li Qi Chen Sheng Wu Shanjun Liu Jianya Gong | 2019 | International Journal of Digital Earth2019,12,9: | 1
Oxalic acid cross-linked sodium alginate and carboxymethyl chitosan hydrogel membrane for separation of dye/NaCl at high NaCl concentration显示文摘Dye desalination is a challenge in the treatment of textile wastewater with high salt concentration. It is imperative to develop salt resistance membrane that is from sustainable materials to effectively treat dye/salt mixtures. And most polymer membrane materials are non-renewable petrochemical resources. In this paper, a green hydrogel membrane(CMCS-OA-Na Alg) was prepared by non-metallic ions of oxalic acid(OA) cross-linking of two natural macromolecules of sodium alginate(Na Alg) and carboxymethyl chitosan(CMCS). The membrane showed excellent anti-swelling at high salt concentration(swelling rate less than 8.0% in 10.0 wt% Na Cl solution) and good anti-fouling performance. The membrane exhibited a rejection higher than 95.0% for dyes(bright blue, direct black, direct red, and Congo red) and lower than7.0% for Na Cl, which can achieve better dye/Na Cl separation performance. This study provides a promising membrane material for high salt textile wastewater treatment only using water and carbohydrates as raw materials without any organic solvents. | Wenbin Xie Kongyin Zhao Lijing Xu Ningning Gao Hui Zhao Zelong Gong Linan Yu Jun Jiang | 2022 | Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,4: | 0
