1Radiofrequency ablation combined with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization therapy versus surgical resection for Barcelona-Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC) A hepatocellular carcinoma: a meta-analysis显示文摘Purpose: The objective of our study was to compare the effectiveness of the combination of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization(TACE) and radiofrequency ablation(RFA) with that of surgical resection(SR) in Barcelona-Clinic Liver Cancer(BCLC) A hepatocellular carcinoma. Materials and Methods: PubMed, Medline, Embase, and Cochrane Library were searched for comparisons of the two therapies from January 2006 to December 2017. Overall survival rate(OS), recurrence-free survival rate(RFS), complications, and the average length of hospital stay were compared and analyzed. Review Manager v. 5.2 from the Cochrane Collaboration was used for statistical analyses. Results: Seven case-control studies and one randomized controlled trial were identified, of which 717 were treated with a combination of TACE and RFA and 785 were treated with SR. Meta-analysis data revealed that TACE plus RFA had significantly better effectiveness on 1.0-y OS(OR = 0.50, p =.009). The major complications(ORcomplications = 1.88, p =.02) after the combined therapy were significantly lower than those after SR. There were three studies that reported the average length of hospital stay. The hospital stay for the SR group vs the combined therapy group was 19.8 ± 8.4 d vs 7.4 ± 2.2 d, respectively(p <.0001); 18.7 ± 4.9 d vs 11.5 ± 6.9 d, respectively(p <.0001); and 16.6 ± 6.7 d vs 8.5 ± 4.1 d, respectively(p <.0001). There was no significant difference in 3.0-or 5.0-y OS and 1.0-, 3.0-, or 5.0-y RFS. 2Changes of Petroleum Acid Distribution Characterized by FT-ICR MS in Heavy Acidic Crude Oil after True Boiling Point Distillation显示文摘The molecular transformations of carboxylic acids in heavy acidic SL crude before and after true boiling point distillation were examined by ultra-high resolution negative-ion electrospray ionization(ESI) Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS). The acid class(heteroatom number), type(z numbers) and carbon number distributions were positively characterized. It was found out that the total acid number(TAN) of SL crude decreased after true boiling point distillation, and the abundance of O2 class in mass spectra was also found to be reduced from 67.6% to 34.5% in SL TBP mixed crude as measured by MS spectra, indicating to a potential carboxylic acid decomposition. However, it was interesting that the carboxylic acids type distribution in both oils was almost the same although their relative abundance in SL TBP mixed crude turned to be much lower, suggesting that various petroleum carboxylic acid types have the similar thermal decomposition reaction behavior. Furthermore, for each O2 type of acids in SL TBP mixed crude, the abundance of carboxylic acids with carbon number higher than 35 was reduced greatly, especially for those with carbon number higher than 60, the mass peaks of which were nearly totally removed, indicating that the large carboxylic acid molecules in heavy fractions decomposed more significantly because of longer heating time during the true boiling point distillation process. 3Molecular Characterization of Hydrotreated Atmospheric Residue Derived from Arabian Heavy Crude by GC FI/FD TOF MS and APPI FT-ICR MS显示文摘High resolution mass spectrometry in combination with distillation and SARA fractionation provides us an opportunity for in-depth understanding about the hydrotreating process at the molecular level. In this study, the atmospheric residue derived from Arabian heavy crude and its hydrotreated products were initially subjected to distillation and SARA fractionation. The saturates were characterized by GC FI/FD TOF MS. The aromatics and resins were characterized by APPI FT-ICR MS. Compositional changes of different compounds (paraffins, naphthenes, aromatic hydrocarbons, and heteroatomic compounds) contained in different distillates (vacuum gas oil, vacuum residue) were obtained. 4Quantitative Analysis Using Fourier Transform Ion Cyclotron Resonance Mass Spectrometry and Correlation between Mass Spectrometry Data and Sulfur Content of Crude Oils显示文摘Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS) has become a powerful tool for analyzing the detailed composition of petroleum samples. However, the correlation between the numerous peaks obtained by FT-ICR MS and bulk properties of petroleum samples is still a challenge. In this study, the internal standard method was applied for the quantitative analysis of four straight-run vacuum gas oils(VGO) by atmospheric pressure photoionization(APPI) FT-ICR MS. The heteroatom class distribution of these VGO samples turned to be different when the concentration changed. Linear relationship between the normalized abundance and the concentration of VGO samples was identified for the total aromatic compounds, aromatic hydrocarbons, S1 and N1 species. The differences of the response factors were also discussed. The sulfur contents of a series of crude oils were proved to be linear with the FT-ICR MS data calibrated by the response factor of S1 species. 5Linkage of Aromatic Ring Structures in Saturates, Aromatics, Resins and Asphaltenes Fractions of Vacuum Residues Determined by Collision-Induced Dissociation Technology显示文摘The linkage of aromatic ring structures in vacuum residues was important for the refining process. The Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(FT-ICR MS) combined with collision-induced dissociation(CID) is a powerful method to characterize the molecular structure of petroleum fractions. In this work, model compounds with different aromatic ring structures were measured by CID FT-ICR MS. The cracking of the parent ions and the generated fragment ions were able to distinguish different linkage of the model compounds. Then, vacuum residues were separated into saturates, aromatics, resins and asphaltenes fractions(SARA), and each fraction was characterized by CID technology. 6Geophysical and Production Data History Matching Based on Ensemble Smoother with Multiple Data Assimilation显示文摘The Ensemble Kalman Filter(EnKF),as the most popular sequential data assimilation algorithm for history matching,has the intrinsic problem of high computational cost and the potential inconsistency of state variables updated at each loop of data assimilation and its corresponding reservoir simulated result.This problem forbids the reservoir engineers to make the best use of the 4D seismic data,which provides valuable information about the fluid change inside the reservoir.Moreover,only matching the production data in the past is not enough to accurately forecast the future,and the development plan based on the false forecast is very likely to be suboptimal.To solve this problem,we developed a workflow for geophysical and production data history matching by modifying ensemble smoother with multiple data assimilation(ESMDA).In this work,we derived the mathematical expressions of ESMDA and discussed its scope of applications.The geophysical data we used is P-wave impedance,which is typically included in a basic seismic interpretation,and it directly reflects the saturation change in the reservoir.Full resolution of the seismic data is not necessary,we subsampled the P-wave impedance data to further reduce the computational cost.With our case studies on a benchmark synthetic reservoir model,we also showed the supremacy of matching both geophysical and production data,than the traditional reservoir history matching merely on the production data:the overall percentage error of the observed data is halved,and the variances of the updated forecasts are reduced by two orders of the magnitude.Zelong Wang Xiangui Liu Haifa Tang Zhikai Lv Qunming Liu 2020Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2020,,5:2

8Joint observation results of Na layer and ionosphere in Wuhan during the Total Solar Eclipse显示文摘During the total solar eclipse on July 22, 2009 in Wuhan, the joint observation test of Na layer and ionosphere was conducted by using the daytime observation atmospheric lidar and the GPS ionosphere detector. The results show that the full width at half maximum(FWHM) of Na layer density slightly narrowed during the total solar eclipse and broadened after the eclipse, while the height of Na peak slightly decreased in the eclipse and increased after the eclipse. These implying that Na layer changes reflect the rapid process of sunrise and sunset. The ionosphere total electron content(TEC) and the sky background light noise also presented an obvious fluctuation characteristic with the changes of solar irradiation during the process of total solar eclipse. The difference lies in that the changes of FWHM of Na layer atoms are much slower than that of ionosphere, the reason for this might be that the Na layer, after being disturbed by the total solar eclipse, will generate a series of complicated photochemical reactions and momentum transport processes, and then recombine the Na atoms. 9Deconvolutional artificial-neural-network framework for subfilter-scale models of compressible turbulence显示文摘We establish a deconvolutional artificial-neural-network(D-ANN)approach in large-eddy simulation(LES)of compressible turbulent flow.Filtered variables in the neighboring locations are taken as the inputs of D-ANN to recover original(unfiltered)variables,including density,momentum and pressure.The scale-similarity form is adopted to reconstruct subfilter-scale(SFS)terms.The proposed D-ANN models can give better a priori predictions of the sub-filter stress and heat flux than the classical approximate-deconvolution method(ADM)and the velocity-gradient model(VGM).The predicted SFS terms with the D-ANN models have correlation coefficients larger than 98.4%and relative errors smaller than 18%.In the a posteriori analysis,the D-ANN model compares against the implicit LES(ILES),the dynamic-Smagorinsky model(DSM),and the dynamic-mixed model(DMM).The D-ANN model predicts better than these classical models for velocity spectra,statistical properties of SFS kinetic energy flux and velocity increments.The turbulence statistics and transient velocity divergence are also accurately reconstructed.The type of explicit filter and the impact of compressibility do not significantly affect a posteriori accuracy of the D-ANN model.Results showthat the proposed D-ANN approach has a great potential in developing highly accurate SFS models for large-eddy simulation of complex compressible turbulent flow.Zelong Yuan Yunpeng Wang Chenyue Xie Jianchun Wang 2021Acta Mechanica Sinica2021,37,12:1
10Inter-chain disulfide bond improved protein trans-splicing increases plasma coagulation activity in C57BL/6 mice following portal vein FVIII gene delivery by dual vectors显示文摘Protein trans-splicing based dual-vector factor VIII(FVIII) gene delivery is adversely affected by less efficiency of protein splicing.We sought to increase the amount of spliced FVIII protein and plasma coagulation activity in dual-vector FVIII transgene in mice by means of strengthening the interaction of inteins,protein splicing elements,thereby facilitating protein trans-splicing.Dual-vector delivery of the FVIII gene in cultured cells showed that replacement of Met226 in the heavy chain and Asp1828 in the light chain with Cys residues could facilitate inter-chain disulfide linking and improve protein trans-splicing,increasing the levels of spliced FVIII protein.In this study,C57BL/6 mice were coadministered dual vectors of intein-fused human FVIII heavy chain and light chain with Cys mutations via portal vein injection into the liver.Forty-eight hours post-injection,plasma was collected and analyzed for FVIII antigen concentration and coagulation activity.These mice showed increased circulating FVIII heavy chain polypeptide(442±151 ng mL-1 vs.305±103 ng mL-1) and coagulation activity(1.46±0.37 IU mL-1 vs.0.85±0.23 IU mL-1) compared with control mice co-administered dual vectors expressing the heavy and light chains of wild-type FVIII.Moreover,coagulation activity was similar to that of mice receiving a single vector expressing FVIII(1.79±0.59 IU mL-1).These findings indicate that improving protein trans-splicing by inter-chain disulfide bonding is a promising approach for increasing the efficacy of dual-vector based FVIII gene transfer.ZHU FuXiang LIU ZeLong WANG XiaoLei MIAO Jing QU HuiGe CHI XiaoYan 2013Science China(Life Sciences)2013,56,3:1
11Interfamily pregnancy and expression of CD57, CD68 in deciduas between golden hamster and mouse显示文摘Pregnancy between different species is one of the key steps to interspecific somatic cell cloning. Although interspecific clone embryos have been constructed, they could not develop to birth after being transferred to recipi-ents. In order to clarify the mechanism of this phenomenon, interfamily pregnancy between golden hamste (Mesocricetus auratus) and mouse (Mus musculus) was studied. Co-culture results indicated that the adhesion ratios of golden hamster blastocysts on mouse uterine epithelia monolayer 12, 24, 48 and 72 h after co-culture were all significantly lower than those of mouse blastocysts. The outgrowth ratios of golden hamster blastocysts on mouse uterine epithelia monolayer 48, 72 h after co-culture were both significantly lower than those of mouse blastocysts (P < 0.01). Golden hamster抯 blastula could be implanted and develop to D 11 of pregnancy after being transferred to mouse uterus (the 7th day after embryo transfer). Compared to the transfer of mouse embryo to mouse uterus, the successful ratio of interfamily embryo transfer was lower and the bulk of fetus was smaller than that of intraspecific fetus. Compared to intraspecific preg-nancy of mouse, the remote decidual tissue of interfamily pregnancy on D8 is looser. At the same time, expressions of CD57 and CD 68 in remote deciduas were both higher than those in the secondary deciduas in both intraspecific and interfamily pregnancy. However, expressions of the two molecules in interfamily pregnancy were lower than those in intraspecific pregnancy. These results showed that interfam-ily pregnancy could be established between golden hamster and mouse. But the development of fetus in interfamily pregnancy was slower than that in intraspecific pregnancy. 14Exploring HONO formation and its role in driving secondary pollutants formation during winter in the North China Plain显示文摘Daytime HONO photolysis is an important source of atmospheric hydroxyl radicals(OH).Knowledge of HONO formation chemistry under typical haze conditions,however,is still limited.In the Multiphase chemistry experiment in Fogs and Aerosols in the North China Plain in 2018,we investigated the wintertime HONO formation and its atmospheric implications at a rural site Gucheng.Three different episodes based on atmospheric aerosol loading levels were classified:clean periods(CPs),moderately polluted periods(MPPs)and severely polluted periods(SPPs).Correlation analysis revealed that HONO formation via heteroge.neous conversion of NO_(2)was more efficient on aerosol surfaces than on ground,highlighting the important role of aerosols in promoting HONO formation.Daytime HONO budget analysis indicated a large missing source(with an average production rate of 0.66±0.26,0.97±0.47 and 1.45±0.55 ppbV/hr for CPs,MPPs and SPPs,respectively),which strongly correlated with photo-enhanced reactions(NO_(2)heterogeneous reaction and particulate nitrate photolysis).Average OH formation derived from HONO photolysis reached up to(0.92±0.71),(1.75±1.26)and(1.82±1.47)ppbV/hr in CPs,MPPs and SPPs respectively,much higher than that from O3 photolysis(i.e.,(0.004±0.004),(0.006±0.007)and(0.0035±0.0034)ppbV/hr).Such high OH production rates could markedly regulate the atmospheric oxidation capacity and hence promote the formation of secondary aerosols and pollutants.Shaobin Zhang Guo Li Nan Ma Yao He Shaowen Zhu Xihao Pan Wenlin Dong Yanyan Zhang Qingwei Luo Jeannine Ditas Uwe Kuhn Yuxuan Zhang Bin Yuan Zelong Wang Peng Cheng Juan Hong Jiangchuan Tao Wanyun Xu Ye Kuang Qiaoqiao Wang Yele Sun Guangsheng Zhou Yafang Cheng Hang Su 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,10:0
15Biofuel Recovery from Plantain and Banana Plant Wastes:Integration of Biochemical and Thermochemical Approach显示文摘Globally,fossil fuel dependence has created several environmental challenges and climate change.Hence,creating other alternative renewable and ecologically friendly bio-energy sources is necessary.Lignocellulosic biomass has gained significant attention recently as a renewable material for biofuel production.The large amounts of plantain and banana plant parts wasted after harvesting,as well as the peels generated daily by the fruit market and industries,demonstrate the potential of bioenergy resources.This review briefly assesses plantain and banana plant biomass(PBB)generated in the developing,developed,and underdeveloped countries,the consumable parts,and feasible products yield.It emphasized the advantages and disadvantages of the commonly adopted treatment technologies of composting,incineration,and landfilling.Further,the utilization of PBB as catalysts in biodiesel synthesis was briefly highlighted.To optimize recovery of biofuel,different integration routes of pyrolysis,anaerobic digestion,fermentation,hydrothermal carbonization,hydrothermal liquefaction,and hydrothermal gasification for the valorization of the PBB were proposed.The complex compounds present in the PBB(hemicellulose,cellulose,and lignin)can be converted into valuable bio-products such as methane gas and bio-ethanol for bioenergy,and nutrients to promote bioactive ingredients.The investigation of the viability and innovation potential of the integrated routes’technology is necessary to improve the circular bio-economy and the recovery of biofuels from biomass waste,particularly PBB.Abdulmoseen Segun Giwa Mingqiang Sheng Ndungutse Jean Maurice Xinxin Liu Zelong Wang Fengmin Chang Bo Huang Kaijun Wang 2023Journal of Renewable Materials2023,11,6:0
16Unraveling the skatole biodegradation process in an enrichment consortium using integrated omics and culture-dependent strategies显示文摘3-Methylindole(skatole)is regarded as one of the most offensive compounds in odor emission.Biodegradation is feasible for skatole removal but the functional species and genes responsible for skatole degradation remain enigmatic.In this study,an efficient aerobic skatole-degrading consortium was obtained.Rhodococcus and Pseudomonas were identified as the two major and active populations by integrated metagenomic and metatranscriptomic analyses.Bioinformatic analyses indicated that the skatole downstream degradation wasmainly via the catechol pathway,and upstream degradation was likely catalyzed by the aromatic ring-hydroxylating oxygenase and flavin monooxygenase.Genome binning and gene analyses indicated that Pseudomonas,Pseudoclavibacter,and Raineyella should cooperate with Rhodococcus for the skatole degradation process.Moreover,a pure strain Rhodococcus sp.DMU1 was successfully obtained which could utilize skatole as the sole carbon source.Complete genome sequencing showed that strain DMU1 was the predominant population in the consortium.Further crude enzyme and RT-qPCR assays indicated that strain DMU1 degraded skatole through the catechol ortho-cleavage pathway.Collectively,our results suggested that synergistic degradation of skatole in the consortium should be performed by diverse bacteria with Rhodococcus as the primary degrader,and the degradation mainly proceeded via the catechol pathway.Qiao Ma Nan Meng Jiancheng Su Yujie Li Jiazheng Gu Yidi Wang Jingwei Wang Yuanyuan Qu Zelong Zhao Yeqing Sun 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,5:0
17Two alkynyl functionalized Co(Ⅱ)-MOFs as fluorescent sensors exhibiting selectivity and sensitivity for Fe3+ and nitroaromatic compounds显示文摘Two Co(II)-MOFs with different structures were successfully synthesized under the premise of designing two ligands containing alkynyl functional groups. Complexes 1 ([Co(TEPA)(TPT)2/3]·2DMF·H2O) and 2 ([Co(EPA)(TPT)]·1.5DMF·1.5H2O) show excellent luminescence properties. Meanwhile, as fluorescent sensors, complexes 1 and 2 exhibit selectivity and sensitivity for Fe3+ with the Ksv of 1.520 ×104 L/mol and 3.543 ×104 L/mol, which can rapidly detect nitroaromatic compounds in methanol and ethanol, especially for 2,4-NPH through fluorescence quenching with high quenching efficiency. 18Regular diet is non-inferior to restricted diet after polypectomy with decreased hospitalization length of stay and cost:a randomized–controlled trial显示文摘Background There are no data comparing a regular diet with a restricted diet after endoscopic polypectomy in patients with colorectal polyps.The current guidelines also did not provide the detailed information of dietary patterns after polypectomy.In this study,we aimed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of different diets on post-polypectomy outcomes.Methods A total of 302 patients with colorectal polyps who underwent polypectomy were prospectively enrolled between March 2019 and December 2019 in Nanfang Hospital(Guangzhou,China).Enrolled patients were then randomly assigned to a regular diet group or a restricted diet group after polypectomy.The study is a non-inferior design and the primary end point was the post-operative adverse events(AE)rate.Secondary end points included length of stay(LOS)and hospitalization cost.Results Among all the included patients,148 patients received a restricted diet and 154 patients received a regular diet after polypectomy.A total of 376 polyps were removed,with 183 polyps in the restricted diet group and 193 polyps in the regular diet group.Shorter LOS(4.0±1.4 vs 4.8±1.7,P<0.001)and lower hospitalization costs(7,701.63±2,579.07 vs 8,656.05±3,138.53,P=0.001)were observed in the regular diet group.In particular,there was no significant difference in 3-day AE rates between the restricted diet and the regular diet group(1.35%[2/148]vs 2.60%[4/154],P=0.685).Subgroup analysis looking at the number of polyps removed in each patient and different treatmentmodalities also showed similar findings.Conclusion Regular diet should be recommended after polypectomy for polyps<20mm as it can shorten LOS and save hospitalization costs.Rong Huang Shaohui Huang Li Xu Rai Mandip Baomei Chen Jiayi Fan Yang Bai Yusi Wang Zelong Han Zhiqing Wang Side Liu Yue Li 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
19Carbon-coated lithium titanate: effect of carbon precursor addition processes on the electrochemical performance显示文摘In this paper,two carbon-coated lithium titanate(LTO-C1 and LTO-C2)composites were synthesized using the ball-milling-assisted calcination method with different carbon precursor addition processes.The physical and electrochemical properties of the as-synthesized negative electrode materials were characterized to investigate the effects of two carbon-coated LTO synthesis processes on the electrochemical performance of LTO.The results show that the LTO-C2 synthesized by using Li2CO3 and TiO2 as the raw materials and sucrose as the carbon source in a one-pot method has less polarization during lithium insertion and extraction,minimal charge transfer impedance value and the best electrochemical performance among all samples.At the current density of 300 mA·h·g^(-1),the LTO-C2 composite delivers a charge capacity of 126.9 mA·h·g^(-1),and the reversible capacity after 300 cycles exceeds 121.3 mA·h·g^(-1) in the voltage range of 1.0–3.0 V.Furthermore,the electrochemical impedance spectra show that LTO-C2 has higher electronic conductivity and lithium diffusion coefficient,which indicates the advantages in electrode kinetics over LTO and LTO-C1.The results clarify the best electrochemical properties of the carbon-coated LTO-C2 composite prepared by the one-pot method.Shilei Ding Zelong Jiang Jing Gu Hongliang Zhang Jiajia Cai Dongdong Wang 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,1:0
