| 1 | Astrocytes in depression and Alzheimer’s disease显示文摘Astrocytes are an abundant subgroup of cells in the central nervous system(CNS)that play a critical role in controlling neuronal circuits involved in emotion,learning,and memory.In clinical cases,multiple chronic brain diseases may cause psychosocial and cognitive impairment,such as depression and Alzheimer’s disease(AD).For years,complex pathological conditions driven by depression and AD have been widely perceived to contribute to a high risk of disability,resulting in gradual loss of self-care ability,lower life qualities,and vast burden on human society.Interestingly,correlational research on depression and AD has shown that depression might be a prodrome of progressive degenerative neurological disease.As a kind of multifunctional glial cell in the CNS,astrocytes maintain physiological function via supporting neuronal cells,modulating pathologic niche,and regulating energy metabolism.Mounting evidence has shown that astrocytic dysfunction is involved in the progression of depression and AD.We herein review the current findings on the roles and mechanisms of astrocytes in the development of depression and AD,with an implication of potential therapeutic avenue for these diseases by targeting astrocytes. | Yang Liao Qu Xing Qianqian Li Jing Zhang Ruiyuan Pan Zengqiang Yuan | 2021 | Frontiers of Medicine2021，15，6： | 4 |

| 4 | Therapeutic Effect of Transcatheter Arterial Chemoembolization Combined with Percutaneous Ethanol Injection in Hepatocellular Carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the combined treatment with transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and percutaneous ethanol injection (PEI) on hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Methods:312 patients with moderate or advanced HCCs were divided into two groups: 170 cases underwent TACE treatment alone, 142 cases were treated with TACE and PEI under B-ultrasotmd guidance. Results:The rates of reduction in tumor diameter and the decline in serum AFP level were 41.2% and 40.4% in the TACE group and 75.4% and 74.1% in the TACE + PEI group respectively. The 6, 12 and 24 months survival rates in the TACE group were 77.1%,34.1% and 18.8%,respectively and in the TACE + PEI group 87.3%, 62.0% and 38.0%, respectively. Overall, there was a significant difference between the two treatment groups (P<0.05). | 5 | Coexistence of situs inversus totalis and hepatocellular carcinoma:A series of nine cases and a literature review显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most commonly diagnosed carcinoma and one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths worldwide.Situs inversus totalis(SIT)is a congenital condition where in the internal organs of the abdomen and thorax lie in mirror images of their normal position.Thus far,there are very few reports on cases of SIT coexisting with HCC.Our case series is probably the largest series in world literature.The cohort of this retrospective study included a total of nine patients diagnosed with SIT-HCC and treated in our hospital between January 2013 and May 2018.Clinical characteristics,prognostic factors,and outcomes were summarized.Treatment strategies included surgery,transarterial chemoembolization,and microwave ablation.The diagnosis and treatment of patients with SIT are challenging because of organ reversion.The current treatment strategies for different stages of liver cancer are safe and feasible for patients with SIT-HCC. | Xiaowei Li Zhigang Fu Jiaming Zhong Kunkun Cao Xiaoxia Chen Ning Ding Li Liu Jian Zhai Zengqiang Qu | 2022 | Journal of Interventional Medicine2022，5，1： | 1 |
