2含氟牙膏对离体脱矿恒牙再矿化作用的实验研究显示文摘目的评价含氟牙膏促进离体脱矿恒牙再矿化的作用。方法选取和制作牙体硬度170KHN左右的16颗离体年轻脱矿恒牙标本,随机分成A、B两组(P>0.05)。A组用无氟Crest牙膏作再矿化处理,B组用含氟的Crest牙膏作再矿化处理,同时将A、B组标本浸泡于人唾液中。用微硬度测量仪测定并记录每个牙标本的硬度。结果A组脱矿牙的硬度平均值为151.9±38.3,而再矿化后牙齿的硬度平均值为143.4±18.8,两组比较P>0.05。B组脱矿牙的硬度平均值为160.1±16.5,而再矿化后牙齿的硬度平均值为200.5±21.3,两组比较P<0.05。再矿化后AB两组的硬度值比较P<0.001。结论含氟牙膏对离体脱矿恒牙有较明显的再矿化作用。陈宏 丁熙 张秀华 ZHANG Wu LI Yi-min Sean S. 4Compressibility of a natural kyanite to 17.5 GPa显示文摘The compressional behaviour of a natural kyanite,(Al1.99Fe0.01)SiO5,has been investigated to about 17.5 GPa at 300 K using a diamond-anvil cell and synchrotron X-ray diffraction.The pressure-volume data fitted to the third-order Birch-Murnaghan equation of state(EoS) yield an isothermal bulk modulus(K0T) of 192 ± 6 GPa and pressure derivative(K00T) of 6 ± 1.When K00T is fixed as 4,the derived K0T is 201 ± 2 GPa.These values are in excellent agreement with most experimental determinations in the literature.Consequently,it can be concluded that the compressibility of kyanite under high pressures has been accurately constrained.Xi Liu Sean R. 5Genome-wide association studies in apple reveal loci of large effect controlling apple polyphenols显示文摘Apples are a nutritious food source with significant amounts of polyphenols that contribute to human health and wellbeing,primarily as dietary antioxidants.Although numerous pre-and post-harvest factors can affect the composition of polyphenols in apples,genetics is presumed to play a major role because polyphenol concentration varies dramatically among apple cultivars.Here we investigated the genetic architecture of apple polyphenols by combining high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)data with~100,000 single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs)from two diverse apple populations.We found that polyphenols can vary in concentration by up to two orders of magnitude across cultivars,and that this dramatic variation was often predictable using genetic markers and frequently controlled by a small number of large effect genetic loci.Using GWAS,we identified candidate genes for the production of quercitrin,epicatechin,catechin,chlorogenic acid,4-O-caffeoylquinic acid and procyanidins B1,B2,and C1.Our observation that a relatively simple genetic architecture underlies the dramatic variation of key polyphenols in apples suggests that breeders may be able to improve the nutritional value of apples through markerassisted breeding or gene editing.Kendra AMcClure YuiHui Gong Jun Song Melinda Vinqvist-Tymchuk Leslie Campbell Palmer Lihua Fan Karen Burgher-MacLellan ZhaoQi Zhang Jean-Marc Celton Charles FForney ZoëMigicovsky Sean Myles 2019Horticulture Research2019,6,1:3

9Optimization of compression formulation and load of food-grade tracers for grain traceability using central composite design显示文摘Food-grade tracers have been developed as an identification technology for grain traceability from original harvest to final destination for transportation.The characteristics of food-grade tracers must be able to satisfy the environmental demands for grain traceability.To optimize the food-grade tracer production process,the effects of direct compression formulation and load on the mechanical characteristics were studied using response surface methodology(RSM)with central composite design(CCD).Among the four tested formulations,Formulations#2(consisting of 35.00%lactose 100 mesh,64.50%microcrystalline cellulose 102 and 0.50%magnesium stearate)and#4(consisting of 38.00%lactose 100 mesh,50.00%microcrystalline cellulose 102,11.00%pregelatinized starch and 1.00%magnesium stearate)were selected for tracer production based on their physical properties as powders.The value of Carr’s flowability index was 68 for both Formulations#2 and#4,which was the highest among all the formulations.Therefore,Formulations#2 and#4 also had the best powder flowability.The magnesium stearate ratio(1.00%-3.00%)and pressure(6.00-16.00 kgf)were used as independent variables to detect changes in the breaking rate,peak shear force and friction coefficient of tracers compressed by the selected formulations.The optimal production parameters could be achieved at a magnesium stearate ratio of 2.25%and pressure of 16.00 kgf for Formulation#2 and at a magnesium stearate ratio of 1.02%and pressure of 16.00 kgf for Formulation#4.Under these optimal conditions,the tracers had good impact characteristics(breaking rate),compression characteristics(peak shear force)and frictional characteristics(friction coefficient).Moreover,Formulation#2 was more suitable for production because compared to Formulation#4,its breaking rate and friction coefficient values were lower,and its peak shear force value was higher.Liang Kun Zhang Lingling Lu Wei Cedric Sean Okinda Shen Mingxia 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,6:2

11Carbon-based bifunctional electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions:Optimization strategies and mechanistic analysis显示文摘Electrocatalysts are one of the essential components for the devices of high-efficiency green energy storage and conversion,such as metal-air cells,fuel cells,and water electrolysis systems.While catalysts made from noble metals possess high catalytic performance in both oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER),their scarcity and expensiveness significantly limit large-scale applications.In this regard,metal-free/non-noble metal carbon-based catalysts have become competitive alternatives to replace catalysts made of noble metals.Nevertheless,low catalytic ORR/OER performance is the challenge of carbon-based catalysts for the commercial applications of metal-air batteries.To solve the problem of poor catalytic performance,two strategies have been proposed:(1)controlling the microstructure of the catalysts to expose more active sites as the channels of rapid mass and electron transfer;and(2)reducing the reaction energy barrier by optimizing the electronic structures of the catalysts via surface engineering.Here,we review different types of bifunctional ORR/OER electrocatalysts with the activated surface sites.We focus on how the challenge can be overcome with different methods of material synthesis,structural and surface characterization,performance validation/optimization,to outline the principles of surface modifications behind catalyst designs.In particular,we provide critical analysis in the challenges that we are facing in structural design and surface engineering of bifunctional ORR/OER catalysts and indicate the possible solution for these problems,providing the society with clearer ideas on the practical prospects of noble-metal-free electrocatalysts for their future applications.Huidong Xu Jack Yang Riyue Ge Jiujun Zhang Ying Li Mingyuan Zhu Liming Dai Sean Li Wenxian Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,8:2

14环境光和邻牙对前牙接触式测色仪测色结果的影响显示文摘目的探讨外源性环境光和邻牙对接触式测色仪测量牙齿颜色结果的影响。方法将10颗离体上颌中切牙固定,MI-150光源从牙齿的唇面(切缘朝下)3点钟和12点钟上方45°入射,入射强度分别为0、50、75、100、125、150W,在有邻牙和无邻牙时分别测量10颗离体中切牙中1/3正中点的CIEL﹡a﹡b﹡值,测量结果采用SPSS11.5软件进行统计分析。结果不同强度和方向的入射光及邻牙存在与否对颜色测量结果均没有明显影响(P>0.05)。结论环境光源和邻牙对接触式测色仪的测色结果没有影响,临床上在牙椅外源辅助灯光下可以采用接触式测色仪直接测色。王思钱 Sean S. 16Molybdenum disulfide(MoS2)-based electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction:From mechanism to manipulation显示文摘Molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))-based materials as the non-noble metal catalysts have displayed the potential capability to drive electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)for green hydrogen production along with their intrinsic activity,tunable electronic properties,low cost,and abundance reserves,which have attracted intensive attention as alternatives to the low-abundance and high-cost platinum-based catalysts.However,their insufficient catalytic HER activities and stability are the major challenges for them to become practically applicable.Hereby,the MoS_(2)-based electrocatalysts for HER are comprehensively reviewed to explain the fundamental science behind the manipulations of the crystal structure,microstructure,surface,and interface of MoS_(2) in order to enhance its catalytic performance through changing the electrical conductivity,the number of active sites,surface wettability,and the Gibbs free energy for hydrogen adsorption(ΔGH).Recent studies in surface/interface engineering,such as phase engineering,defect engineering,morphology design,and heterostructure construction,are analyzed to reveal the state-of-the-art strategies for designing and preparing the cost-effective and highperformance MoS_(2)-based catalysts through optimizing the charge transfer,surface-active sites,ΔGH,and surface hydrophilicity.Lastly,the perspectives,challenges,and future research directions of HER electrocatalysis are also given to facilitate the further research and development of HER catalysts.Yao Xu Riyue Ge Jack Yang Jiancheng Li Sean Li Ying Li Jiujun Zhang Jing Feng Bin Liu Wenxian Li 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,11:1
17The Effects of Therapeutic Horseback Riding Program on Motor Skills inChildren with Autism Spectrum Disorder显示文摘Therapeutic horseback riding(THR)as an animal-assisted intervention is one of the innovative approaches emer-ging in the treatment for children with autism spectrum disorder(ASD).The current study was designed to inves-tigate the effects of a 12-week,twice a week THR program on motor skills in sixty-eight children with ASD aged 5–10 years old.All participants selected met the DSM-V criteria for ASD,and a total offifty-three participants completed the study.A randomized controlled trial design was utilized for the study.Data was collected via a pre-THR test,interim-THR test,and post-THR test to investigate the possible changes in motor skills throughout the 12-week THR program.Results showed that the THR program significantly improved overall motor skills across time points(p<0.05)and sub-skills of run,gallop and two-hand catch(as compared to the control group,p<0.05).In conclusion,the THR program may be an effective option for improving motor skills in children with ASD and further investigation with a longer period of intervention is warranted.Mengxian Zhao Yonghao You Jinming Li Sean Healy Alyx Taylor Zhihao Zhang Linlin Li Liye Zou 2022International Journal of Mental Health Promotion2022,24,4:1
