| 1 | Calcineurin B-like interacting protein kinase OsCIPK23 functions in pollination and drought stress responses in rice (Oryza sativa L.)显示文摘Drought is very harmful to grain yield due to its adverse effect on reproduction, especially on pollination process in rice. However, the molecular basis of such an effect still remains largely unknown. Here, we report the role of a member of CBL (Calcineurin B-Like) Interacting Protein Kinase (CIPK) family, OsCIPK23, in pollination and stress responses in rice. Molecular analyses revealed that it is mainly expressed in pistil and anther but up-regulated by pollination, as well as by treatments of various abiotic stresses and phytohormones. RNA interference-mediated suppression of OsCIPK23 expression significantly reduced seed set and conferred a hypersensitive response to drought stress, indicating its possible roles in pollination and drought stress. In consistent, overexpression of OsCIPK23 induced the expression of several drought tolerance related genes. | 2 | Denitrification and microbial community in MBBR using A. donax as carbon source and biofilm carriers for reverse osmosis concentrate treatment显示文摘In this study,raw Arundo donax(A.donax)pieces were applied as carbon source and biofilm carriers for denitrification in a lab-scale moving bed biofilm reactor(MBBR)for the treatment of reverse osmosis concentrate gathered from local wastewater reuse plant.At stable phase(about 60 days),efficient denitrification performance was obtained with73.2%±19.5%NO3--N average removal and 8.10±3.45 g N/(m3·day)NO3--N average volumetric removal rate.Mass balance analysis showed that 4.84 g A.donax was required to remove 1 g TN.Quantitative real-time PCR analysis results showed that the copy numbers of 16S r-RNA,narG,nirS,nosZ and anammox gene of carrier biofilm and suspended activated sludge in the declination phase(BF2 and AS2)were lower than those of samples in the stable phase(BF1 and AS1),and relatively higher copy numbers of nirS and nirK genes with lower abundance of narG and nosZ genes were observed.High-throughput sequencing analysis was conducted for BF2 and AS2,and similar dominant phyla and classes with different abundance were obtained.The class Gammaproteobacteria affiliated with the phylum Proteobacteria was the most dominant microbial community in both BF2(52.6%)and AS2(41.7%).The PICRUSt prediction results indicated that 33 predictive specific genes were related to denitrification process,and the relative abundance of 18 predictive specific genes in BF2 were higher than those in AS2. | Li Li Guokai Yan Haiyan Wang Zhaosheng Chu Zewen Li Yu Ling Tong Wu | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10: | 11 |

| 5 | Initial carbon release characteristics, mechanisms and denitrification performance of a novel slow release carbon source显示文摘External carbon source addition is one of the effective methods for the treatment of wastewater with low carbon to nitrogen ratio(C/N). Compared with fast-release liquid carbon sources, slow-release solid carbon sources are more suitable for the denitrification process. A novel slow-release solid carbon source(corncob-polyvinyl alcohol sodium alginatepoly-caprolactone, i.e. CPSP) was prepared using corn cob(CC) and poly-caprolactone with polyvinyl alcohol sodium alginate as hybrid scaffold. The physical properties and carbon release characteristics of CPSP and three other carbon sources were compared. CPSP had stable framework and good carbon release performance, which followed the second order release equation. The formic acid, acetic acid, propionic acid and butyric acid released from CPSP accounted for 8.27% ± 1.66 %, 56.48% ± 3.71 %, 18.46% ± 2.69% and 16.79% ± 3.02% of the total released acids respectively. The start-up period of CPSP was shorter than that of the other carbon sources in denitrification experiment, and no COD pollution was observed in the start-up phase(25–72 h) and stable phase(73–240 hr). | 7 | Research on variety characteristics of China's Mainland troposphere based on CMONOC显示文摘In this research, we processed the GPS and meteorological data from about 220 stations of Crustal Movement Observation Network of China(CMONOC) observed in 2014 and derived the Zenith Total Delay(ZTD) map in both spatial and temporal dimension. The results of ZTD have high accurate and reliable as IGS and all sites with varying locations show obvious variety characteristics of Chinese mainland. Meanwhile, the precipitable water vapor(PWV) correlation coefficients between GPS observation and upper air sounding is close to 1, and the comparison of GPS-derived PWV and observed PWV from meteorological sites indicating GPS observation data generated in CMONOC project applied to the weather forecast research is feasible. In addition, based on all stations covered the whole Chinese land area and using interpolation algorithms, we make contour plots of PWV distribution per hour. We observe obvious feature that the precipitable water in north and western area is less than south and east area all over this year. | 9 | Towards a better recording of microtubule cytoskeletal spatial organization and dynamics in plant cells显示文摘Numerous fluorescent marker lines are currently available to visualize microtubule(MT)architecture and dynamics in living plant cells, such as markers expressing p35S::GFP-MBD or p35S::GFP-TUB6.However, these MT marker lines display obvious defects that affect plant growth or produce unstable fluorescent signals. Here, a series of new marker lines were developed, including the pTUB6::VisGreen-TUB6-expressing line in which TUB6 is under the control of its endogenous regulatory elements and e GFP is replaced with VisGreen, a brighter fluorescent protein. | 12 | Exploring facile strategies for high-oxidation-state metal nitride synthesis: carbonate-assisted one-step synthesis of Ta_3N_5 films for solar water splitting显示文摘Metal nitrides are widely studied due to their outstanding physical properties, including high hardness,high thermal and chemical stability, low electrical resistivity etc. Generally, metal nitrides can be obtained from the direct reaction of metal and ammonia/nitrogen. However, some of the metal nitrides,such as Ta_3N_5, cannot be synthesized by direct nitridation of metals. To achieve Ta_3N_5, high-oxidationstate Ta precursors like Ta_2O_5, NaTaO_3, TaS_3, K_6Ta_(10.8)O_(30), Ta(N(CH_3)_2)_5 and TaCl_5 have to be employed,which is a time-consuming and laborious process with the possibility of introducing undesirable impurities. Here taking Ta_3N_5 as an example, a facile carbonate-assisted one-step nitridation method is proposed, which enables the direct synthesis of high-oxidation-state metal nitride films from metal precursors under ammonia flow. The mechanism of the nitridation process has been studied, which carbon dioxide released from carbonates decomposition reacts with metallic Ta and assists the one-step conversion of metallic Ta to Ta_3N_5. The as-prepared Ta_3N_5 film, after modified with NiFe layered double hydroxide, exhibits promising water splitting performance and stability. | 13 | N2O emission in partial nitritation-anammox process显示文摘Nitrous oxide(N2O)is one of the significant greenhouse gases,and partial nitritation-anammox(PNA)process emits higher N2O than traditional nitrogen removal processes.N2O production in PNA mainly occurs in three different pathways,i.e.,the ammonia oxidizing bacteria(AOB)denitrification,the hydroxylamine(NH2 OH)oxidation and heterotrophic denitrifiers denitrification.N2O emission data vary significantly because of the different operational conditions,bioreactor configurations,monitoring systems and quantitative methods.Under the common operational parameter scopes of PNA,N2O emission via NH2 OH oxidation dominates at relatively low dissolved oxygen(DO),low inorganic carbon(IC),high pH or low N02-concentration,while N2O emission via AOB denitrification dominates at relative higher DO,higher IC.lower pH or higher N2O-concentration.AOB are highly enriched while nitriteoxidizing bacteria(NOB)are rarely found in partial nitritation process,and the order Nitrosomonadales of AOB is the dominant group and N2O producer.Anammox bacteria,AOB and certain amount of heterotrophic denitrifying bacteria are observed in the anammox process,the genus Denitratisoma and the heterotrophic denitrifying bacteria in the deep layer of anammox granules are the dominant N2O generation bacteria.In one-stage PNA reactors,anammox bacteria account for a large fraction of the biomass,AOB account for small portion,and NOB account for even less.The microbial community,diversity and N2O producers in one-stage PNA reactors are similar with those in two-stage PNA reactors.The dominant anammox bacteria,AOB and NOB in PNA are the species Candidatus Brocadia,the genera of Nitrotoga,Nitrospira and Nitrobacter,and the genus Nitrosomonas,respectively.The relations between N2O emission pathways and microbial communities need further study in the future. | Li Li Yu Ling Haiyan Wang Zhaosheng Chu Guokai Yan Zewen Li Tong Wu | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,1: | 3 |
