| 1 | Comparison between chemoembolization combined with radiotherapy and chemoembolization alone for large hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To investigate the efficacy of transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) combined with radiotherapy for unresectable large hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).METHODS: From June 1994 to June 1999, a total of 76patients with large unresectable HCC were treated with TACE followed by external-beam irradiation. 89 patients with large HCC, who underwent TACE alone during the same period,served as the control group. Clinical features, therapeutic modalities, acute effects and survival rates were analyzed and compared between TACE plus irradiation group and TACE alone group. A multivariate analysis of nine clinical variables and one treatment variable (irradiation) was performed by the Cox proportional hazards model.RESULTS: The clinical features and therapeutic modalities except irradiation between the two groups were comparable (P>0.05). The objective response rate (RR) in TACE plus irradiation group was higher than that in TACE alone group (47.4 % vs28.1%, P<0.05). The overall survival rates in TACE plus irradiation group (64.0 %, 28.6 %, and 19.3 %at 1, 3, 5 years, respectively) were significantly higher than those in TACE alone group (39.9 %, 9.5 %, and 7.2%,respectively, P=0.0001). | 2 | Economic feasibility of large-scale hydro–solar hybrid power including long distance transmission显示文摘Solar PV is expected to become the most cost-competitive renewable energy owing to the rapidly decreasing cost of the system. On the other hand, hydropower is a high-quality and reliable regulating power source that can be bundled with solar PV to improve the economic feasibility of long-distance transmitted power. In this paper, a quantification model is established taking into account the regulating capacity of the reservoir, the characteristics of solar generation, and cost of hydro and solar PV with long-distance transmission based on the installed capacity ratio of hydro–solar hybrid power. Results indicate that for hydropower stations with high regulating capacity and generation factor of approximately 0.5, a hydro–solar installed capacity ratio of 1:1 will yield overall optimal economic performance, whereas for hydropower stations with daily regulating capacity reservoir and capacity factor of approximately 0.65, the optimal hydro–solar installed capacity ratio is approximately 1:0.3. | 3 | Current preventive treatment for recurrence after curative hepatectomy for liver metastases of colorectal carcinoma: A literature review of randomized control trials显示文摘To review the preventive approaches for recurrence after curative resection of hepatic metastases from coloreclal carcinoma, we have summarized all available publications reporting randomized control trials (RCTs) covered in PubMed. The treatment approaches presented above include adjuvant intrahepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy,systemic chemotherapy, neoadjuvant chemotherapy, and immunotherapy. Although no standard treatment has been established, several approaches present promising results, which are both effective and tolerable in posthepatectomy patients. Intrahepatic arterial infusion chemotherapy should be regarded as effective and tolerable and it increases overall survival (OS) and diseasefree survival (DFS) of patients, while 5-fluorouracil-based systemic chemotherapy has not shown any significant survival benefit. Fortunately chemotherapy combined with hepatic arterial infusion and intravenous infusion has shown OS and DFS benefit in many researches. Few neoadjuvant RCT studies have been conduced to evaluate its effect on prolonging survivals although many retrospective studies and case reports are published in which unresectable colorectal liver metastases are downstaged and made resectable with neoadjuvant chemotherapy.Liver resection supplemented with immunotherapy is associated with optimal results; however, it is also questioned by others. In conclusion, several adjuvant approaches have been studied for their efficacy on recurrence after hepatectomy for liver metastases from colorectal cancer (CRC), but multi-centric RCT is still needed for further evaluation on their efficacy and systemic or local toxicities. | 4 | Extraordinary simultaneous enhancement of the coercivity and remanence of dual alloy HRE-free Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets by post-sinter annealing显示文摘Post-sinter annealing process plays an important role in the microstructures and magnetic properties of the Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets.In this paper,systematically investigated are the magnetic properties and microstructures of the as-sintered and post-sinter annealed Nd-Fe-B magnets with Pr-Fe-Ga boundary addition.Two choice consecutive annealing methods are adopted at high and low temperatures,namely the 1 st annealing at 880℃ for 2 h and then the 2^(nd) annealing at 440℃ for 3 h.It is exceptional to find out that both the remanence and coercivity are improved after 2^(nd) annealing process for this type of magnet.The coercivity is hugely increased from 10.09 kOe for the as-sintered sample to 17.19 kOe for the 2^(nd) annealed magnet,with a significant increment of 70.37%in coercivity.The extraordinary magnetic properties of B_(r)=14.44 kGs,H_(cj)=17.19 kOe and(BH)_(max)=51.08 MGOe are obtained for the designated Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets without heavy rare earth(HRE)elements manufactured by dual alloy method.The Curie temperature is monotonically decreased from 634 K to 602 K while the c-axis alignment degree is optimized after annealing.Microstructural observation and analysis indicate that the elemental distribution patterns are altered after the 2^(nd) annealing.The diffusion of the aggregate(Pr,Nd,Cu,Ga)-rich phase from triple junctions into the grain boundary regions is ascribed to the formation of thin and continuous grain boundary layer,which is critical to improve the microstructures and magnetic properties. | Qingfang Huang Qingzheng Jiang Jifan Hu Sajjad Ur Rehman Gang Fu Qichen Quan Jixiang Huang Deqin Xu Dakun Chen Zhenchen Zhong | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,11: | 3 |
| 5 | Research and development of Ce-containing Nd2Fe14B-type alloys and permanent magnetic materials显示文摘Much demanded and overused are the critical rare-earth elements such as Pr, Nd, Dy, and Tb with increasing need of Nd Fe B-type rare-earth permanent magnets in the enlarging application areas, developing new high-tech industries, and emerging cutting-age frontiers. The balance and efficient use of rare-earth resources comes into being the national strategy, national defense, and border safety for many major countries and regions in the world.(Nd,Ce)Fe B-based permanent magnetic materials, which can not only reduce cost but also offer a feasible way for integrated and effective utilization of rare earth resources,have received much attention in recent years. The existence of CeFe_2 and the mixed valence state of Ce in Ce Fe B compound, the different metallurgy behavior and the particular processing as well as potential various magnetic-hardening mechanisms, however, make it quite different from Nd-based alloys.For instance, the coercivity of Ce-containing magnets in some certain composition range, is even higher than that of the counterpart pure Nd-based magnets though the Ce-containing magnets possess inferior intrinsic properties. Consequently, it is very important to design proper composition and structure, optimize processing, and analyze the mechanisms in depth for this kind of magnet. High performance and cost-effective magnets can be fabricated if we can make full use of the composition's inhomogeneous and abnormal coercivity variation of the Ce-containing permanent magnets. | 9 | Enhanced magnetic properties and improved corrosion performance of nanocrystalline Pr-Nd-Y-Fe-B spark plasma sintered magnets显示文摘Recently it is a hot topic to make full use of high abundant Y element in Nd_(2)Fe_(14)B-type permanent magnets.In contrast to Pr and Nd elements,Y shows different metallurgical behaviors during preparation process.In this paper,we have explored the magnetic properties,microstructures and corrosion performance of Pr-Nd-Y-Fe-B magnets fabricated by spark plasma sintering(SPS)technique from the ribbons of nanocrystalline and amorphous precursors,respectively.The coercivity and maximum energy product were improved for the magnets prepared from amorphous precursor materials(denoted as SPS-A hereafter)compared with the magnets prepared from crystalline precursor materials(denoted as SPS-C hereafter).Magnetic properties of Jr=0.79 T,Hci=864 k A/m,and(BH)_(max)=102 k J/m^(3)were obtained for SPS-A magnets.In contrast with SPS-C magnets,the magnetic properties of SPS-A magnets are not so sensitive to the preparation conditions,which is quite beneficial to the homogeneity of microstructure and enhancement of coercivity for large-scale production of the designated magnets.Aggregated(Pr,Nd,Y)-rich phase was found out in SPS-C magnets.Pr and Nd elements are rich at grain boundary while Y is distributed uniformly at main phase and grain boundary phase.The strip grains and equiaxed grains exist in SPS-C and SPS-A magnets,respectively.The enhanced magnetic properties for SPS-A magnets are accredited to the uniform distribution of rare-earth-rich phase and low demagnetization factor.It is revealed by electrochemical test and dipping test that the corrosion potential is more positive and the corrosion rate is slower for the SPS-A magnets in 3.5 wt.%Na Cl solution.The work is also expected to shed light on developing the nanocrystalline Pr-Nd-Y-Fe-B SPSed high-performance magnets in industry. | Qingzheng Jiang Jie Song Qingfang Huang Sajjad Ur Rehman Lunke He Qingwen Zeng Zhenchen Zhong | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,58,23: | 1 |

| 11 | Magnetic-field-driven reverse martensitic transformation with multiple magneto-responsive effects by manipulating magnetic ordering in Fe-doped Co-V-Ga Heusler alloys显示文摘Nowadays,searching for the materials with multiple magneto-functional properties and good mechanical properties is vital in various fields,such as solid-state refrigeration,magnetic actuators,magnetic sensors and intelligent/smart devices.In this work,the magnetic-field-induced metamagnetic reverse martensitic transformation(MFIRMT)from paramagnetic martensite to ferromagnetic austenite with multiple magneto-responsive effects is realized in Fe-doped Co-V-Ga Heusler alloys by manipulating the magnetic ordering.The martensitic transformation temperature Tmreduces quasi-linearly with increasing Fe-content.In strikingly contrast with the Fe-free alloys,the magnetization difference(M')across martensitic transformation increases by three orders of magnitude for Fe-doped alloys.The increased M'should be ascribed to the reduction of Tm,almost unchanged Curie temperature of austenite and the increased magnetic moment in the samples with higher Fe-content.The large M'provides strong driving force to realize the MFIRMT and accordingly multiple magneto-responsive effects,such as magnetocaloric,magnetoresistance and magnetostriction effects.Meanwhile,giant Vickers hardness of 518 HV and compressive strength of 1423 MPa are achieved.Multiple magneto-responsive effects with exceptional mechanical properties make these alloys great potential candidates for applications in many fields. | Kai Liu Shengcan Ma Yuxi Zhang Hai Zeng Guang Yu Xiaohua Luo Changcai Chen Sajjad Ur Rehman Yongfeng Hu Zhenchen Zhong | 2020 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,58,23: | 1 |

| 13 | Enhancement of terbium efficiency by gallium and copper co-doping in(Pr,Nd)-Fe-B sintered magnets显示文摘It is well known that Tb substitution for(Pr,Nd)in(Pr,Nd)-Fe-B based sintered magnetic materials is an effective way to increase intrinsic coercivity,but it is not quite clear whether the increment depends on the different matrix phases with various doping ingredient or not,which is essential to develop high quality magnets with high coercivity more efficiently and effectively with economic consumption of expensive Tb and other costly heavy rare earths.In this paper,we investigated the efficiency of Tb substitution for magnetic property in(Pr,Nd)-Fe-B sintered permanent magnets by co-doping Ga and Cu elements.It is shown that Ga and Cu co-doping can effectively improve the efficiency of Tb substitution to increase the thermal stability and the coercivity.The intrinsic coercivity increases up to 549 and 987 kA/m respectively by 1.5 wt%and 3.0 wt%Tb substitution in Ga and Cu co-doped magnets while the intrinsic coercivity increases up to only 334 and 613 kA/m respectively by the same amounts of Tb substitution in non-Ga and low-Cu magnets.In other words,it demonstrates that there is about 329-366 kA/m linear equivalent enhancement of intrinsic coercivity by 1.0 wt%Tb substitution for(Pr,Nd)in Ga and Cu co-doped magnets.The temperature coefficients of both intrinsic coercivityβand remanenceαat 20-150℃by 3.0 wt%Tb substitution for the magnets with Ga and Cu co-doping are-0.47%/K and-0.109%/K respectively,and in contrast those values are-0.52%/K and 0.116%/K respectively for the non-Ga and low-Cu magnets.It is the principal reason for more efficient enhancement of magnetic property by Tb substitution in the Ga and Cu co-doped magnets in which Tb atoms are expelled from triple junction phases(TJPs)to penetrate into the grain boundary phases(GB phases)and thus modify the grain boundary.It is prospected that the efficiency of Tb substitution would rely on different matrix phases with various doping constituents. | Qingfang Huang Qingzheng Jiang Yao Shi Sajjad Ur Rehman Xing Wei Ruoshu Wang Yongjian Zhang Deqin Xu Dakun Chen Zhenchen Zhong | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,4: | 0 |

| 19 | Generation of Low-Delay and High-Stability Multicast Tree显示文摘Delay and stability are two key factors that affect the performance of multicast data transmission in a network.However,current algorithms of tree generation hardly meet the requirements of low delay and high sta-bility simultaneously.Given a general network,the generation algorithm of a multicast tree with minimum delay and maximum stability is an NP-hard problem,without a precise and efficient algorithm.To address these challenges,this paper studies the generation of low-delay and high-stability multicast trees under the model of spanning tree based on stability probability,degree-constrained,edge-weighted for multicast(T-SDE).A class of algorithms was proposed which creates the multicast tree greedy on the ratio of fan-out to delay(RFD)and probability of stability of terminal to obtain a high performance in multicast.The proposed algorithms greedily select terminals with a large RFD and a high probability of stability as forwarding nodes in the generation of the multicast tree,where the larger RFD and higher stability of upstream nodes are beneficial to achieve a low transmission delay and high stability in multicast.The proposed RFD can be compatible with the original model,which can take advantage of network connectivity during the generation of a multicast tree.This paper carries out simulation experiments on Matlab R2016b to measure the performance of the proposed algorithm.Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can provide a smaller height,higher stability,and a lower transmission delay of the resulting multicast tree than other solutions.The spanning tree of the proposed algorithms can support low transmission delay and high stability in multicast transmission. | Deshun Li Zhenchen Wang Yucong Wei Jiangyuan Yao Yuyin Tan Qiuling Yang Zhengxia Wang Xingcan Cao | 2023 | Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,7: | 0 |
| 20 | Epidemiologic Features, Radiological Findings and Clinical Outcomes of 19 Patients with COVID-19 in a Single Center in Beijing, China显示文摘Objective To describe the epidemiologic,clinical,laboratory,and radiological characteristics and prognoses of COVID-19 confirmed patients in a single center in Beijing,China.Methods The study retrospectively included 19 patients with nucleic acid-confirmed SARS-CoV^2 infection at our hospital from January 20 to March 5,2020.The final follow-up date was March 14,2020.The epidemiologic and clinical information was obtained through direct communication with the patients or their family members.Laboratory results retrieved from medical records and radiological images were analyzed both qualitatively by two senior chest radiologists as well as quantitatively via an artificial intelligence software.Results We identified 5 family clusters(13/19,68.4%)from the study cohort.All cases had good clinical prognoses and were either mild(3/19)or moderate(16/19)clinical types.Fever(15/19,78.9%)and dry cough(11/19,57.9%)were common symptoms,Two patients received negative results for more than three consecutive viral nucleic acid tests.The longest interval between an initial CT abnormal finding and a confirmed diagnosis was 30 days.One patient's nucleic acid test turned positive on the follow-up examination after discharge.The presence of radiological abnormalities was non-specific for the diagnosis of COVID-19.Conclusions COVID-19 patients with mild or no clinical symptoms are common in Beijing,China.Radiological abnormalities are mostly non-specific and massive CT examinations for COVID-19 screening should be avoided.Analyses of the contact histories of diagnosed cases in combination with clinical,radiological and laboratory findings are crucial for the early detection of COVID-19.Close monitoring after discharge is also recommended. | Lan Song Zhenchen Zhu Ruijie Zhao Pengchang Li Duxue Tian Tiekuan Du Yan Xu Qiwen Yang Wei Cao Wei Song Zhengyu Jin | 2021 | Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2021,36,2: | 0 |
