| 2 | Urban Construction Land Suitability Evaluation Based on Improved Multi-criteria Evaluation Based on GIS(MCE-GIS): Case of New Hefei City,China显示文摘Urban construction land suitability evaluation(UCLSE)is a complex system engineering and the basis for rational use of the limited urban land resources in China.It has an important practical value on urban construction land use planning and management from the angle of methodology.As a widely used technique,traditional multi-criteria evaluation based on GIS(MCE-GIS),is not suitable for UCLSE.This study develops an improved MCE-GIS method which could be more suitable for UCLSE based on urban complex ecological system theory and the summary of the shortcomings of traditional MCE-GIS.The improvements include three aspects:a composite evaluation index system rather than natural indexes alone,an index weight calculated by using fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP)method rather than the common AHP method,and the integrated overlay rule,which includes selecting the minimum value,weighted linear combination(WLC)and simple summation.The main advantage of this improved technique is that it can make UCLSE more comprehensive,more operational and more reasonable.It can provide a scientific basis for decision making in the planning and management of urban construction land use.The improved MCE-GIS system has been adopted in the New Hefei City,Anhui Province,China.Based on the results of UCLSE in New Hefei,three functional areas including construction-appropriate areas,construction-restricted areas and construction-forbidden areas could be worked out,in which 36.90%of the total study area could be developed as urban construction land and the remaining 63.10%should be protected as reserves land or as ecological land.Furthermore,the results can provide scientific decision support for spatial planning and eco-environment protection in New Hefei. | ZHANG Xiaorui FANG Chuanglin WANG Zhenbo MA Haitao | 2013 | Chinese Geographical Science2013,23,6: | 18 |
| 3 | CFD Study of NO_x Emissions in a Model Commercial Aircraft Engine Combustor显示文摘Air worthiness requirements of the aircraft engine emission bring new challenges to the combustor research and design. With the motivation to design high performance and clean combustor, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is utilized as the powerful design approach. In this paper, Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) equations of reactive two-phase flow in an experimental low emission combustor is performed. The numerical approach uses an implicit compressible gas solver together with a Lagrangian liquid-phase tracking method and the extended coherent flamelet model for turbulence-combustion interaction. The NOx formation is modeled by the concept of post-processing, which resolves the NOx transport equation with the assumption of frozen temperature distribution. Both turbulence-combustion interaction model and NOx formation model are firstly evaluated by the comparison of experimental data published in open literature of a lean direct injection (LDI) combustor. The test rig studied in this paper is called low emission stirred swirl (LESS) combustor, which is a two-stage model combustor, fueled with liquid kerosene (RP-3) and designed by Beihang University (BUAA). The main stage of LESS combustor employs the principle of lean prevaporized and premixed (LPP) concept to reduce pollutant, and the pilot stage depends on a diffusion flame for flame stabili-zation. Detailed numerical results including species distribution, turbulence performance and burning performance are qualita-tively and quantitatively evaluated. Numerical prediction of NOx emission shows a good agreement with test data at both idle condition and full power condition of LESS combustor. Preliminary results of the flame structure are shown in this paper. | 5 | Major advances in studies of the physical geography and living environment of China during the past 70 years and future prospects显示文摘The natural environment provides material essentials for human survival and development. The characteristics,processes, regional differentiation and forcing mechanisms of the elements of the natural environment(e.g. geomorphology,climate, hydrology, soil, etc.) are the main objects of research in physical geography. China has a complex natural environment and huge regional differentiation and therefore it provides outstanding reserach opportunities in physical geography. This review summarizes the most important developments and the main contributions of research in the physical geography and human living environment in China during the past 70 years. The major topics addressed are the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the evolution of its cryosphere, the development of fluvial systems, the acidification of the vast arid region of the Asian interior, variations in the monsoon and westerly climate systems on multiple timescales, the development of lakes and wetlands, the watershed system model, soil erosion, past human-environment interactions, biogeography, and physical geographic zonality. After briefly introducing international research developments, we review the history of research in physical geography in China, focusing on the major achievements and major academic debates, and finally we summarize the status of current research and the future prospects. | 6 | A hybrid model for dissolved oxygen prediction in aquaculture based on multi-scale features显示文摘To increase prediction accuracy of dissolved oxygen(DO)in aquaculture,a hybrid model based on multi-scale features using ensemble empirical mode decomposition(EEMD)is proposed.Firstly,original DO datasets are decomposed by EEMD and we get several components.Secondly,these components are used to reconstruct four terms including high frequency term,intermediate frequency term,low frequency term and trend term.Thirdly,according to the characteristics of high and intermediate frequency terms,which fluctuate violently,the least squares support vector machine(LSSVR)is used to predict the two terms.The fluctuation of low frequency term is gentle and periodic,so it can be modeled by BP neural network with an optimal mind evolutionary computation(MEC-BP).Then,the trend term is predicted using grey model(GM)because it is nearly linear.Finally,the prediction values of DO datasets are calculated by the sum of the forecasting values of all terms.The experimental results demonstrate that our hybrid model outperforms EEMD-ELM(extreme learning machine based on EEMD),EEMD-BP and MEC-BP models based on the mean absolute error(MAE),mean absolute percentage error(MAPE),mean square error(MSE)and root mean square error(RMSE).Our hybrid model is proven to be an effective approach to predict aquaculture DO. | Chen Li Zhenbo Li Jing Wu Ling Zhu Jun Yue | 2018 | Information Processing in Agriculture2018,5,1: | 10 |
| 7 | End-to-end deep learning framework for digital holographic reconstruction显示文摘Digital holography records the entire wavefront of an object,including amplitude and phase.To reconstruct the object numerically,we can backpropagate the hologram with Fresnel–Kirchhoff integralbased algorithms such as the angular spectrum method and the convolution method.Although effective,these techniques require prior knowledge,such as the object distance,the incident angle between the two beams,and the source wavelength.Undesirable zero-order and twin images have to be removed by an additional filtering operation,which is usually manual and consumes more time in off-axis configuration.In addition,for phase imaging,the phase aberration has to be compensated,and subsequently an unwrapping step is needed to recover the true object thickness.The former either requires additional hardware or strong assumptions,whereas the phase unwrapping algorithms are often sensitive to noise and distortion.Furthermore,for a multisectional object,an all-in-focus image and depth map are desired for many applications,but current approaches tend to be computationally demanding.We propose an end-to-end deep learning framework,called a holographic reconstruction network,to tackle these holographic reconstruction problems.Through this data-driven approach,we show that it is possible to reconstruct a noise-free image that does not require any prior knowledge and can handle phase imaging as well as depth map generation. | Zhenbo Ren Zhimin Xu Edmund YLam | 2019 | Advanced Photonics2019,1,1: | 10 |
| 8 | Experimental and numerical studies of a lean-burn internally-staged combustor显示文摘A lean-burn internally-staged combustor for low emissions that can be used in civil aviation gas turbines is introduced in this paper. The main stage is designed and optimized in terms of fuel evaporation ratio, fuel/air pre-mixture uniformity, and particle residence time using commercial computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software. A single-module rectangular combustor is adopted in performance tests including lean ignition, lean blowout, combustion efficiency, emissions, and combustion oscillation using aviation kerosene. Furthermore, nitrogen oxides(NOx)emission is also predicted using CFD simulation to compare with test results. Under normal inlet temperature, this combustor can be ignited easily with normal and negative inlet pressures. The lean blowout fuel/air ratio(LBO FAR) at the idle condition is 0.0049. The fuel split proportions between the pilot and main stages are determined through balancing emissions, combustion efficiency, and combustion oscillation. Within the landing and take-off(LTO) cycle, this combustor enables 42%NOxreduction of the standard set by the 6th Committee on Aviation Environmental Protection(CAEP/6) with high combustion efficiency. | 11 | Real-time control for fuel-optimal Moon landing based on an interactive deep reinforcement learning algorithm显示文摘In this study,a real-time optimal control approach is proposed using an interactive deep reinforcement learning algorithm for the Moon fuel-optimal landing problem.Considering the remote communication restrictions and environmental uncertainties,advanced landing control techniques are demanded to meet the high requirements of real-time performance and autonomy in the Moon landing missions.Deep reinforcement learning(DRL)algorithms have been recently developed for real-time optimal control but suffer the obstacles of slow convergence and difficult reward function design.To address these problems,a DRL algorithm is developed using an actor-indirect method architecture to achieve the optimal control of the Moon landing mission.In this DRL algorithm,an indirect method is employed to generate the optimal control actions for the deep neural network(DNN)learning,while the trained DNNs provide good initial guesses for the indirect method to promote the efficiency of training data generation.Through sufficient learning of the state-action relationship,the trained DNNs can approximate the optimal actions and steer the spacecraft to the target in real time.Additionally,a nonlinear feedback controller is developed to improve the terminal landing accuracy.Numerical simulations are given to verify the effectiveness of the proposed DRL algorithm and demonstrate the performance of the developed optimal landing controller. | Lin Cheng Zhenbo Wang Fanghua Jiang | 2019 | Astrodynamics2019,3,4: | 8 |

| 13 | Spatial relationship of high-speed transportation construction and land-use efficiency and its mechanism:Case study of Shandong Peninsula urban agglomeration显示文摘Land-use efficiency is low for the urban agglomeration of China.High-speed transportation construction has been an important factor driving land use change.It is criti?cally importa nt to explore the spatial relati on ship between the high-speed transportation su?periority degree and land-use efficie ncy.We built a model to evaluate the ben efits of con?venient high-speed transportation using the relative density of highways and the distanee from high-speed rail stations and airports as a metric.We used 42 coun ties of the Shan dong Peninsula urban agglomeration as an example.Land?use efficiency was calculated by a DEA model with capital,labor,economic ben efits and envir on mental ben efits as input and output factors.We examined the spatial relati on ships betwee n high-speed tran sport superiority degree and land-use efficiency and obtained the following results.First,there are significant spatial differe nces in the relati on ships betwee n the high-speed transportati on superiority degree and land-use efficiency.Taking the two major cities of Jinan and Qingdao as the hubs,the core surrounding counties show significant spatial relationship between land-use efficiency and the high-speed transportation superiority degree.Spatial correlation declines as the distance from the hubs in creases.Land-use efficiency is less tha n high-speed tran sportation convenience in areas along the transportation trunks that are distant from the hub cities.Correlation is low in areas that are away from both hub cities and transportation trunk routes.Second,high-speed transportation has a positive relationship with land?use efficiency due to the mechanism of element agglomeration exogenous growth.Third,high-speed transportation facilitates the flow of goods,services and tech no logies between core cities and peripheral cities as space spillover(the hub effect).This alters the spatial pattern of regional land-use efficiency.Fin ally,the short-board effect caused by decreased high-speed tran sport corn struction can be balaneed by highway construction and the proper node layouts of high-speed rail stations and airports,resulting in a well-balaneed spatial pattern of land?use efficiency. | CUI Xuegang FANG Chuanglin WANG Zhenbo BAO Chao | 2019 | Journal of Geographical Sciences2019,29,4: | 8 |
| 14 | Heterogeneous lamellar-edged Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray for efficient and stable seawater oxidation显示文摘Development of efficient non-precious catalysts for seawater electrolysis is of great significance but challenging due to the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction(OER)and the impairment of chlorine electrochemistry at anode.Herein,we report a heterostructure of Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray with secondary Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)lamellar edges that exposes abundant active sites towards seawater oxidation.The resultant Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)nanoarray works directly as a free-standing anodic electrode in alkaline artificial seawater.It only requires an overpotential of 269 mV to afford a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)and the Tafel slope is as low as 46 m V·dec^(-1).The 27-hour chronopotentiometry operated at high current density of 100 mA·cm^(-2)shows negligible deterioration,suggesting good stability of the Fe-Ni(OH)_(2)/Ni_(3)S_(2)@NF electrode.Faraday efficiency for oxygen evolution is up to〜95%,revealing decent selectivity of the catalyst in saline water.Such desirable catalytic performance could be benefitted from the introduction of Fe activator and the heterostructure that offers massive active and selective sites.The density functional theory(DFT)calculations indicate that the OER has lower theoretical overpotential than Cl_(2) evolution reaction in Fe sites,which is contrary to that of Ni sites.The experimental and theoretical study provides a strong support for the rational design of high-performance Fe-based electrodes for industrial seawater electrolysis. | Baihua Cui Zheng Hu Chang Liu Siliang Liu Fangshuai Chen Shi Hu Jinfeng Zhang Wei Zhou Yida Deng Zhenbo Qin Zhong Wu Yanan Chen Lifeng Cui Wenbin Hu | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,4: | 7 |

| 17 | Quantitative simulation and verification of upgrade law of sustainable development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration显示文摘The natural formation and development of urban agglomerations is a process in which core cities continue to unite their neighboring cities to enhance sustainability for their own sustainable development.The upgrade mechanism of sustainable development urban agglomeration is a nonlinear composite upgrade curve that is a function of time,increasing with the number of cities.In this paper,the sustainable upgrade function curve,upgrade rate,and upgrade speed of urban agglomerations were solved using a geometrical derivation,and the index system for measuring the upgrade capability of sustainable development of urban agglomerations was established.The dynamic change in economic sustainable upgrade capability,social sustainable upgrade capability,environmental sustainable upgrade capability,and comprehensive sustainable upgrade capability of a Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration from 2000 to 2015 was measured by technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution and a grey correlation method,and a comprehensive,intercity unite strength model and a unite threshold calculation method for urban agglomerations were established.The research shows that the economic sustainable upgrade capability,social sustainable upgrade capability,environmental sustainable upgrade capability,and comprehensive sustainable upgrade capability of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration all show a wave-like rising trend.The average annual upgrade speeds during 2000-2015 are,respectively,2.4%.1.67%,1.1%,and 1.74%,with the intercity comprehensive unite strength of urban agglomerations maintaining a general increase;but there is a limit to the joint threshold.From 2000 to 2015,as the core city of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration,Beijing,to enhance its sustainable upgrade capability,jointly developed with Tianjin,Langfang,and Baoding before 2000,Tangshan in 2002,Cangzhou in 2009,Zhangjiakou and Shijiazhuang in 2012,and Chengde in 2014.By 2015,the comprehensive unite strength between Beijing and four cities(Handan,Qinhuangdao,Hengshui,and Xingtai) was still lower than the unite threshold of 6.14.These four cities are relatively far from Beijing,and offer no substantial contribution to the sustainable upgrade capability of Beijing.Through multiple fittings of the upgrade curve using the long-term sequence index of the comprehensive sustainable upgrade capability of Beijing(the core city of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration) from 2000 to 2015,it was found that the simulated curve of the comprehensive sustainable upgrade function of the agglomeration was very similar to the curve of the comprehensive sustainable upgrade capability,which indicates that the simulation results are satisfactory.The future comprehensive sustainable upgrade capability of the agglomeration can be analyzed and predicted by the comprehensive sustainable upgrade function model.This study provides quantitative decision-supporting evidence for promoting the coordinated development of the Beijing-TianjinHebei urban agglomeration and provides theoretical guidance and algorithms for determining the number of cities joined with the sustainable development of national urban agglomerations. | Chuanglin FANG Longwu LIANG Zhenbo WANG | 2019 | Science China Earth Sciences2019,62,12: | 6 |

| 19 | Geochronology and Petrochemistry of Volcanic Rocks in the Xaignabouli Area, NW Laos显示文摘An integrated study of zircon U-Pb geochronology and petrochemistry, together with zircon Lu-Hf isotopes, has been carried out on the basaltic-andesitic tuff and volcanic breccia from the Nam Hang Formation and andesitic tuff from the Muang-Nan Formation in the Xaignabouli area, which had been mapped as the Permian–Early Triassic on the 1 : 1 000 000 geological map or Late Carboniferous on the 1 : 200 000 geological maps. Zircon U-Pb dating of three samples yielded weighted mean ages of 235±2.6, 232±1.4 and 278±2.8 Ma, respectively, suggesting a Late Triassic origin for the Nam Hang Formation and an Early Permian origin for the Muang-Nan Formation. Geochemically, they are characterized by depletions in HFSEs(e.g., Nb, Ta, Ti) and high LILE/HFSE ratios, and they have positive zircon ε_(Hf)(t) values of 8.7–15.9, which exhibits the continental arc volcanic affinity and partial melting of subducting oceanic slab in the magma source. Combined with spatial occurrence of the volcanic rock and existing geochronological and geochemical data, we suggest that the Xaignabouli-Luang Prabang volcanic belt can be linked to the Loei-Phetchabun belt.
