| 1 | Research on Solar Simulation System for Test of Solar Radiation Measuring Instrument显示文摘Since traditional solar simulators are mainly applied to spacecraft and photovoltaic industry,they are not suitable for solar radiation measuring instrument test. Therefore,a deep research is carried out on solar simulators to test of solar radiation measuring instrument,so that obtain the requirements of performance test of solar radiation measuring instrument. With a combination of the requirements for national regulations of metrological verification and performance test of pyranometer and pyrheliometer,it lays emphasis on the research of design methods for improving radiation uniformity and stability of solar simulators; it also focuses on design methods of multidimensional detection workbench,which achieves different detection of solar radiation. After practical test,solar irradiation is within Φ60 mm; irradiation non-uniformity is better than ±0.8%; instability is better than ±0.72%;rotating angle precision is better than 0.09°. Then,solar simulator is used to carry out pyranometer sensitivity test,pyranometer directional response test,pyranometer tilt response test and non-linearity test for radiation instruments. | 3 | Protective effects of nerve regeneration factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor on retinal ganglion cells in a rabbit model of acute hyper-intraocular pressure显示文摘BACKGROUND:Previous studies have shown that nerve regeneration factor (NRF) provides neuroprotective effects. However,the neuroprotective effects on retinal ganglion cells in an animal model of glaucoma remain uncertain. OBJECTIVE:To determine the neuroprotective effects of NRF on retinal ganglion cells in a rabbit model of acute hyper-intraocular pressure and to compare the effects on brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF). DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,animal experiment was performed at Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratory of Neural Regeneration from September 2006 to August 2007. MATERIALS:Sterone,a major component of NRF,was provided by the Key Laboratory of Neural Regeneration,Nantong University in China; BDNF was provided by BioDesign Inc.,USA. METHODS:A total of 24 healthy rabbits were randomly assigned to NRF,BDNF,and phosphate buffered saline groups,with 8 rabbits per group. The left eyes were considered normal controls,and acute hyper-intraocular pressure was induced in the right eyes via anterior chamber perfusion. The right camera vitrea bulbi was injected with 4.5 μg NRF,3.75 μg BDNF,or 5 μL 0.1 mol/L phosphate buffered saline,respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Retinal ganglion cells were reverse-labeled using horseradish peroxidase to quantify cell density at 2,4,and 6 mm from the optic disc edge. RESULTS:NRF increased the number of surviving retinal ganglion cells at the optic disc edge (P < 0.01 or P < 0.05). The density of surviving retinal ganglion cells decreased with increasing distance from the optic disc. The number of retinal ganglion cells in the BDNF group was similar to the NRF group (P > 0.05). At 2,4,and 6 mm away from the optic disc edge,there was no significant difference in retinal ganglion cell density between NRF and BDNF groups (P > 0.05). CONCLUSION:NRF provided protection to retinal ganglion cells in a rabbit model of acute hyper-intraocular pressure,i.e.,NRF enhanced the survival rate of retinal ganglion cells. | 4 | An Adaptive Time-Stepping Strategy for the Cahn-Hilliard Equation显示文摘This paper studies the numerical simulations for the Cahn-Hilliard equation which describes a phase separation phenomenon.The numerical simulation of the Cahn-Hilliardmodel needs very long time to reach the steady state,and therefore large time-stepping methods become useful.The main objective of this work is to construct the unconditionally energy stable finite difference scheme so that the large time steps can be used in the numerical simulations.The equation is discretized by the central difference scheme in space and fully implicit second-order scheme in time.The proposed scheme is proved to be unconditionally energy stable and mass-conservative.An error estimate for the numerical solution is also obtained with second order in both space and time.By using this energy stable scheme,an adaptive time-stepping strategy is proposed,which selects time steps adaptively based on the variation of the free energy against time.The numerical experiments are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the adaptive time-stepping approach. | Zhengru Zhang Zhonghua Qiao | 2012 | Communications in Computational Physics2012,11,4: | 1 |

| 8 | Autumn nitrogen enrichment destabilizes ecosystem biomass production in a semiarid grassland显示文摘Nitrogen(N)deposition decreases the temporal stability of ecosystem aboveground biomass production(ecosystem stability).However,little is known about how the responses of ecosystem stability differ based on seasonal N enrichment.By adding N in autumn,winter,or growing season,from October 2014 to May 2020,in a temperate grassland in northern China,we found that only N addition in autumn resulted in a significantly positive correlation between ecosystem mean aboveground net primary productivity(ANPP)and its standard deviation and significantly reduced ecosystem stability.Autumn N-induced reduction in ecosystem stability was associated with the vanished negative effect of community-wide species asynchrony(asynchronous dynamics among populations to environmental perturbations)on the standard deviation of ecosystem ANPP in combination with the emerged positive effect of dominance(Simpson's dominance index that indicates the relative weight of dominant species in a community).Our findings indicate that autumn N addition might overestimate the negative effect of annual atmospheric N deposition on ecosystem stability,suggesting that to better evaluate the influence of N deposition in temperate grasslands,both field experiments and global modeling should consider not only the annual N load but also its seasonal dynamics.Moreover,further studies should pay more attention to the alteration in the ecosystem temporal deviations,which might be more sensitive to human-induced environmental changes. | Yuqiu Zhang Zhengru Ren Haining Lu Xu Chen Ruoxuan Liu Yunhai Zhang | 2023 | Fundamental Research2023,3,2: | 0 |

| 16 | A Second Order Accurate in Time, Energy Stable Finite Element Scheme for the Flory-Huggins-Cahn-Hilliard Equation显示文摘In this paper, we propose and analyze a second order accurate in time, masslumped mixed finite element scheme for the Cahn-Hilliard equation with a logarithmic Flory-Huggins energy potential. The standard backward differentiation formula (BDF)stencil is applied in the temporal discretization. In the chemical potential approximation,both the logarithmic singular terms and the surface diffusion term are treatedimplicitly, while the expansive term is explicitly updated via a second-order Adams-Bashforth extrapolation formula, following the idea of the convex-concave decompositionof the energy functional. In addition, an artificial Douglas-Dupont regularizationterm is added to ensure the energy dissipativity. In the spatial discretization, the masslumped finite element method is adopted. We provide a theoretical justification of theunique solvability of the mass lumped finite element scheme, using a piecewise linearelement. In particular, the positivity is always preserved for the logarithmic argumentsin the sense that the phase variable is always located between -1 and 1. In fact, thesingular nature of the implicit terms and the mass lumped approach play an essentialrole in the positivity preservation in the discrete setting. Subsequently, an unconditionalenergy stability is proven for the proposed numerical scheme.
