| 1 | Degradation kinetics and mechanism of aniline by heat-assisted persulfate oxidation显示文摘Oxidation of aniline by persulfate in aqueous solutions was investigated and the reaction kinetic rates under different temperature, persulfate concentration and pH conditions were examined in batch experiments. The results showed that, the aniline degradation followed pseudo first-order reaction model. Aniline degradation rate increased with increasing temperature or persulfate concentration. In the pH range of 3 to 11, a low aniline degradation rate was obtained at strong acid system (pH 3), while a high degradation rate was achieved at strong alkalinity (pH 11). Maximum aniline degradation occurred at pH 7 when the solution was in a weak level of acid and alkalinity (pH 5, 7 and 9). Produced intermediates during the oxidation process were identified using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry technology. | 2 | Cenozoic uplift of the Tibetan Plateau:Evidence from the tectonic-sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin显示文摘Geologists agree that the collision of the Indian and Asian plates caused uplift of the Tibet Plateau.However,controversy still exists regarding the modes and mechanisms of the Tibetan Plateau uplift.Geology has recorded this uplift well in the Qaidam Basin.This paper analyzes the tectonic and sedimentary evolution of the western Qaidam Basin using sub-surface seismic and drill data. The Cenozoic intensity and history of deformation in the Qaidam Basin have been reconstructed based on the tectonic developments,faults growth index,sedimentary facies variations,and the migration of the depositional depressions.The changes in the sedimentary facies show that lakes in the western Qaidam Basin had gone from inflow to still water deposition to withdrawal.Tectonic movements controlled deposition in various depressions,and the depressions gradually shifted southeastward.In addition,the morphology of the surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin shows that the Cenozoic tectonic movements controlled the evolution of the Basin and divided it into(a) the southern fault terrace zone, (b) a central Yingxiongling orogenic belt,and(c) the northern fold-thrust belt;divided by the XI fault (Youshi fault) and Youbei fault,respectively.The field data indicate that the western Qaidam Basin formed in a Cenozoic compressive tectonic environment caused by the India—Asia plate collision. Further,the Basin experienced two phases of intensive tectonic deformation.The first phase occurred during the Middle Eocene—Early Miocene(Xia Ganchaigou Fm.and Shang Ganchaigou Fm.,43.8—22 Ma),and peaked in the Early Oligocene(Upper Xia Ganchaigou Fm.,31.5 Ma).The second phase occurred between the Middle Miocene and the Present(Shang Youshashan Fm.and Qigequan Fm., 14.9—0 Ma),and was stronger than the first phase.The tectonic—sedimentary evolution and the orientation of surface structures in the western Qaidam Basin resulted from the Tibetan Plateau uplift,and recorded the periodic northward growth of the Plateau.Recognizing this early tectonic—sedimentary evolution supports the previous conclusion that northern Tibet responded to the collision between India and Asia shortly after its initiation.However,the current results reveal that northern Tibet also experienced another phase of uplift during the late Neogene.The effects of these two stages of tectonic activity combined to produce the current Tibetan Plateau. | Yadong Wang Jianjing Zheng Weilin Zhang Shiyuan Li Xingwang Liu Xin Yang Yuhu Liu | 2012 | Geoscience Frontiers2012,3,2: | 23 |

| 5 | Magnetostratigraphy of the Zanda basin in southwest Tibet Plateau and its tectonic implications显示文摘The Zanda basin is one of the very important basins at the north slope of the Himalaya Range. Thus the study of the basin strata will provide critical information about the tectonic evolution of the Himalayan Orogenic Belt. 268 oriented block samples were collected in the 750-m-thick sections of the Zanda ba- sin. The characteristic remanent magnetization (ChRM) was isolated that decays linearly to the origin between 500oC and 690oC for most studied samples. An age range of 9.5―2.6 Ma was estimated from the correlation between our observed polarity column and the Geomagnetic Polarity Time Scale (GPTS). The age of the Zanda basin does not support the models that the South Tibetan Detach system (STDS) is one of the basin controlling faults. Pits tend to collect and hold wandering cavitation bubbles. The air holding phenomenon of pits can be a destination of the incubation period in the process of cavitation erosion. The holding bubble tends to eject micro-bubbles from the top of holding cavitation bubble, making the pit a source of nuclei. With bubbles being held in pits, the diameters of pits increase rapidly. But in the given experiment condition, there is a specific stable value beyond which the diameter of pits will not increase. | 8 | New insights on the origin of the basement of the Xisha Uplift,South China Sea显示文摘The study of basement geochronology provides crucial insights into the tectonic evolution of oceans. However, early studies on the basement of the Xisha Uplift were constrained by limited geophysical and seismic data; Xiyong1 was the only commercial borehole drilled during the 1970 s because of the huge thickness of overlying Cenozoic strata on the continental margin. Utilizing two newly-acquired basement samples from borehole XK1, we present petrological analysis and zircon uranium(U)-lead(Pb) isotope dating data in this paper that enhance our understanding of the formation and tectonic features of the Xisha Uplift basement. Results indicate that this basement is composed of Late Jurassic amphibole plagiogneisses that have an average zircon 206 Pb/238 U age of 152.9±1.7 Ma. However, the youngest age of these rocks, 137±1 Ma, also suggests that metamorphism termination within the Xisha basement occurred by the Early Cretaceous. These metamorphic rocks have adamellites underneath them which were formed by magmatic intrusions during the late stage of the Early Cretaceous(107.8±3.6 Ma). Thus, in contrast to the Precambrian age(bulk rubidium(Rb)-strontium(Sr) analysis, 627 Ma) suggested by previous work on the nearby Xiyong1 borehole, zircons from XK1 are likely the product of Late Mesozoic igneous activity. Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous regional metamorphism and granitic intrusions are not confined to Xisha; rocks have also been documented from areas including the Pearl River Mouth Basin and the Nansha Islands(Spratly Islands) and thus are likely closely related to large-scale and long-lasting subduction of the paleo-Pacific plate underneath the continental margins of East Asia, perhaps the result of closure of the Meso-Tethys in the South China Sea(SCS). Controversies remain as to whether, or not, the SCS region developed initially on a uniform Precambrian-aged metamorphic crystalline basement. | 11 | Isotopic composition of organic carbon and elemental carbon in PM2.5 in Hangzhou, China显示文摘In order to identify the sources of organic carbon (OC) and elemental carbon (EC) in airborne PM2.5 in Hangzhou, OC and EC were oxidized to CO2 offline in two thermal steps, and their carbon isotope compositions were measured by mass spectrometer. Results showed that the average δ13COC values were -52.8‰, -48.1‰, -50.0‰ and -52.5‰ in spring, summer, autumn, and winter, respectively, and the annual average value was -50.9‰ (-85.0‰ to -35.6‰), whereas δ13CEC values were -26.4‰, -26.9‰, -26.7‰ and -25.9‰ in the four seasons, and its annual value was -26.5‰ (-30.5‰ to -23.8‰). Large differences were found between isotope compositions of the two types of carbon. δ13COC values were much smaller than those of δ13CEC, and varied in a large range, and the ratios in both spring and winter were the smallest. δ13CEC varied in a small range, and its mean values in four seasons were nearly the same. | 12 | New index of ferromanganese crusts reflecting oceanic environmental oxidation显示文摘Ferromanganese crusts (hereinafter crusts) form in aerobic environment and the environmental oxida-tion degree is recorded by the redox sensitive element Co in the crusts. The ages of the layers from the surface to bottom of the crusts are determined, and main element contents at high resolution along the depth sections of three crusts from the Pacific Ocean are analyzed by an electron microprobe. Thus the variations of Co/(Fe+Mn) and Co/(Ni+Cu) with age/depth of the crust layers are obtained. By comparing the ratios of Co/(Fe+Mn) and Co/(Ni+Cu) with the δ 18O curves of the Pacific benthic foraminifera, we find that these two ratios can reflect the variation of the environmental oxidation state under which the crust layers deposit. The evolution of the oxidation degree reflected by the two indexes resembles the evo-lution of temperature since the Oligocene reflected by the δ 18O curves of the Pacific benthic foraminif-era. This suggests that the crust-forming environment after the Oligocene is controlled mainly by the oxygen-rich bottom water originated from the Antarctic bottom water (AABW). However it is not the case prior to the Oligocene. Furthermore it suggests that the environmental oxidation degree controls the formation of the crusts and the Co contents in the crusts. | 14 | Characterization of Carotenoid Accumulation and Carotenogenic Gene Expression During Fruit Development in Yellow and White Loquat Fruit显示文摘Accumulation of carotenoids in peel and pulp of the yellow-fleshe loquat ‘Zaozhong 6'(ZZ6) and the white-fleshe loquat ‘Baiyu'(BY) were tracked during different fruit development stages, and the expression of 15 carotenogenic genes were analyzed. During loquat fruit ripening the fresh weight content of β-carotene in peel and pulp of ZZ6 increased gradually and peaked at the fully ripe stage, reaching 68.53 μg·g^(-1)FW in the peel and 11.92 μg·g^(-1)FW in the pulp. In BY, the content of β-carotene in the peel increased and peaked at the fully ripe stage, reaching38.89 μg·g^(-1)FW, while it decreased in the pulp from the original 0.47 μg·g~(^(-1))FW and reduced to 0.29 μg·g~(^(-1))FW. The content of β-cryptoxanthin in the peel and pulp of ZZ6 and BY both increased steadily, and peaked at the fully ripe stage; however, the content of lutein decreased in the peel of ZZ6 and increased in the pulp, but in BY, it dropped and then rose in the peel. There was no significan change of β-cryptoxanthin in the pulp of BY. After the breaker stage, the m RNA levels of phytoene synthase(PSY) and chromoplast-specifi lycopene β-cyclase(CYCB) were higher in the peel, while CYCB and β-carotene hydroxylase(BCH) m RNAs were higher in the fles of ZZ6, compared with BY. | 15 | Abnormal Metabolic Connectivity in Rats at the Acute Stage of Ischemic Stroke显示文摘Stroke at the acute stage is a major cause of disability in adults, and is associated with dysfunction of brain networks. However, the mechanisms underlying changes in brain connectivity in stroke are far from fully elucidated. In the present study, we investigated brain metabolism and metabolic connectivity in a rat ischemic stroke model of middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO)at the acute stage using18 F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography. Voxel-wise analysis showed decreased metabolism mainly in the ipsilesional hemisphere, and increased metabolism mainly in the contralesional cerebellum. We used further metabolic connectivity analysis to explore the brain metabolic network in MCAO.Compared to sham controls, rats with MCAO showed most significantly reduced nodal and local efficiency in the ipsilesional striatum. In addition, the MCAO group showed decreased metabolic central connection of the ipsilesional striatum with the ipsilesional cerebellum, ipsilesional hippocampus, and bilateral hypothalamus. In order to improve the detection speed and accuracy, two fast arc fault detection methods have been proposed in this paper with the analysis of only half cycle data. | 17 | Stabilizing perovskite nanocrystals by controlling protective surface ligands density显示文摘After nanocrystals synthesis,the purification process with anti-solvents is an essential step to get clean nanocrystals,which could get rid of the by-products of the synthesis.It is generally recognized that this process could bring a positive effect for the afterward optoelectronic applications.Unfortunately,we found that the optical properties and photostability of perovskite CsPbBr3 nanocrystals were unavoidably deteriorated after they were washed with anti-solvents,and this deterioration is strongly related to the decreasing of surface ligands density.Therefore,in this paper,we tried to purposely not wash the CsPbBr3 nanocrystals solution after adding didodecyl dimethylammonium bromide (DDAB),and found the existing of DDAB in solution could result in a dramatically enhanced photostability.Inspired by these results,we proposed a new strategy to stabilize perovskite nanocrystals from the view of packaging process:adding protective ligands into the perovskite nanocrystals resin directly,then encapsulating them on blue light-emitting diodes (LED) chips.Surprisingly,stable LED devices (20 mA,2.7V) were achieved by this way,which can keep 80% of the initial photoluminescence (PL) intensity for more than 50 h,while the devices with CsPbBr3 nanocrystals without adding protective ligands into resin dropped to 50% of their initial PL intensity within 6 h.This approach offers a new thought to stabilize perovskite nanocrystals as down-conversion phosphor in quantum dots liquid crystal display. | Weilin Zheng Zhichun Li Congyang Zhang Bo Wang Qinggang Zhang Qun Wan Long Kong Liang Li | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,6: | 4 |

| 19 | Synthesis of porous iron hydroxy phosphate from phosphate residue and its application as a Fenton-like catalyst for dye degradation显示文摘Phosphate residue is a kind of hazardous solid waste and if not properly disposed of, could cause serious environmental contaminations. The abundant iron salt available in phosphate residue can be used to prepare photo-Fenton catalytic reagent for wastewater treatment. In this study, the phosphate residue was effectively purified by a hydrothermal recrystallization method, reaching an iron phosphate purity of 94.2%. The particles of iron phosphate were further processed with ball milling with their average size reduced from 19.4 to 1.6 μm. By hydrothermal crystallization of iron phosphate and thermal decomposition of oxalate precursor, porous iron hydroxy phosphate was prepared. The modified porous iron hydroxy phosphate(m-PIHP) of higher surface area with iron oxalate on its surface can degrade 98.87% of Rhodamine B in 15 min. Cyclic experiment showed that the catalyst still had a good catalytic activity after six cycles( > 40%). The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the iron oxalate complex on the catalyst surface decomposed to produce ferrous ions and accelerated the rate of · OH production.
