| 1 | Soluble Graphene Through Edge-Selective Functionalization显示文摘Thermally expanded graphite was functionalized with 4-bromophenyl addends using the in situ diazonium formation procedure,and after mild sonication treatment in N,N’-dimethylformamide,thin graphene layers were exfoliated from the bulk graphite.These chemically-assisted exfoliated graphene(CEG)sheets had higher solubility than pristine graphene without any stabilizer additive.More than 70%of these soluble flakes had less than 5 layers.Energy filtered transmission electron microscopy(EFTEM)elemental mapping provided evidence of the edge-selective diazonium functionalization with graphene.A majority of the Br signals came from the edges of the CEG indicating that the basal planes were not highly functionalized.The CEG was also characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy,Raman spectroscopy,and transmission electron microscopy. | Zhengzong Sun Shin-ichiro Kohama Zengxing Zhang Jay RLomeda James M.Tour | 2010 | Nano Research2010,3,2: | 8 |
| 2 | Large-area high quality PtSe2 thin film with versatile polarity显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)materials have attracted increasing attention for their outstanding structural and electrical properties.However,for mass-production of field effect transistors(FETs)and potential applications in integrated circuits,large-area and uniform 2D thin films with high mobility,large on-off ratio,and desired polarity are needed to synthesize firstly.Here,a transfer-free growth method for platinum diselenide(PtSe2)films has been developed.The PtSe2 films have been synthesized with various thicknesses in centimeter-sized scale.Typical FET made from a few layer PtSe2 show p-type unipolar,with a high field-effect hole mobility of 6.2 cm^(2) V^(−1) s^(−1) and an on-off ratio of 5×10^(3).The versatile semimetal-unipolar-ambipolar transition in synthesized PtSe2 films is also firstly observed as the thickness thinning.This work realizes the large-scale preparation of PtSe2 with prominent electrical properties and provides a new strategy for polarity's modulation. | Wei Jiang Xudong Wang Yan Chen Guangjian Wu Kun Ba Ningning Xuan Yangye Sun Peng Gong Jingxian Bao Hong Shen Tie Lin Xiangjian Meng Jianlu Wang Zhengzong Sun | 2019 | InfoMat2019,1,2: | 5 |
| 3 | Radical Addition of Perfluorinated Alkyl Iodides to Multi- Layered Graphene and Single-Walled Carbon Nanotubes显示文摘A simple one-pot reaction that serves to functionalize graphite nanosheets(graphene)and single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWNTs)with perfluorinated alkyl groups is reported.Free radical addition of 1-iodo-1H,1H,2H,2H-perfluorododecane to ortho-dichlorobenzene suspensions of the carbon nanomaterial is initiated by thermal decomposition of benzoyl peroxide.Similarly,UV photolysis of 1-iodo-perfluorodecane serves to functionalize the carbon materials.Perfluorododecyl-SWNTs,perfluorododecyl-graphene,and perfluorodecyl-graphene are characterized by infrared(IR)and Raman spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA),and atomic force microscopy(AFM).The products show enhanced dispersability in CHCl3 as compared to unfunctionalized starting materials.The advantage of this one-pot functionalization procedure lies in the use of pristine graphite as starting material thereby avoiding the use of harsh oxidizing conditions. | Christopher E.Hamilton Jay R.Lomeda Zhengzong Sun James M.Tour Andrew R.Barron | 2010 | Nano Research2010,3,2: | 5 |

| 6 | Proton antagonist membrane towards exclusive CO_(2)reduction显示文摘Membrane electrode assembly reactor offers great promise toward practical CO_(2)electrolysis.Unfortunately,traditional proton exchange membrane possesses strong acidic chemical environment,which facilitates undesired hydrogen evolution reaction.Here we report a proton antagonist strategy,through which the proton diffusion pathways have been severely impeded by Na+cation to produce an alkaline-rich environment.With this new membrane electrode assembly,we can significantly suppress the hydrogen evolution and achieve a Faradaic efficiency of 95.7%for CO with 51.5%energy efficiency.In addition,our proton antagonist membrane outperforms the commercial anion exchange membrane in both conductivity and oxidation resistance lifetime,which are crucial for large scale electrolysis of carbon neutral chemicals. | Taishi Xiao Yao Ma Shicheng Zeng Xiang Yao Tong Ye Hongbin Li Wei Li Zhengzong Sun | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,4: | 0 |
| 7 | CO_(2) reduction with coin catalyst显示文摘Most organic commodity chemicals are derived from fossil carbon resources.The dependency is so immense that it is difficult to compensate for the accompanying carbon footprint with current technology and chemical infrastructure.To mitigate the future fossil fuel usage,it is crucial to explore alternative chemical pathways,which are both sustainable and suitable for large-scale productions.Here we demonstrate a closed-loop carbon-neutral chemical route,using standard coin catalyst,to produce high concentrated formate and formic acid.The catalyst's Faradaic efficiency(FE)of formate is~95.3% with great durability.The chemicals are not only synthesized but also purified and utilized in zero-carbon scenarios.We successfully harvested 45%formate salt and 86.2% formic acid,for applications like anti-freezing reagent and green liquid fuel to power the fuel-cell vehicles. | Taishi Xiao Can Tang Hongbin Li Tong Ye Kun Ba Peng Gong Zhengzong Sun | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,5: | 0 |
