1New composite grouting materials:Modified urea-formaldehyde resin with cement显示文摘A new composite two component grout comprised of modified urea-formaldehyde resin and cement was formulated to take account of the advantages and disadvantages of both the cement grout and the chemical grout.The new grout is designed for water blocking by reinforcing as well as seepage control by bore grouting.The A component consists of a modified urea-formaldehyde resin A component,some cement,and some water.The B component is an alkaline coagulant.An orthogonal test of four factors at three levels showed that gel time increased with increased water content and with urea-formaldehyde resin content.Gel time decreased at increased levels of alkaline coagulant.The A component of this new composite grout is stable over time.A mixed cross-over test showed that as the volume ratio of A to B increases the gel time falls at first but then increases.The solid strength decreases with increasing levels of the B component.The solid strength increases over time and becomes stable by the 28th day after mixing.The viscosity increases with increasing levels of resin A component.The increase is exponential and may be fit to:l = 8.162e0.0286x.Duan Hongfei Jiang Zhenquan Zhu Shuyun Yao Pu Sun Qiang 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,2:22
2Oxidative capacities of size-segregated haze particles in a residential area of Beijing显示文摘The frequent haze days around the Chinese capital of Beijing in recent years have aroused great attention owing to the detrimental efects on visibility and public health. To discover the potential health efects of the haze, oxidative capacities of airborne particles collected in Beijing during haze and clear days were comparably assessed by a plasmid scission assay. Eleven water-soluble trace elements(As, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Ni, Pb, V, Se, Tl, and Zn) in the size-segregated airborne particles were quantitatively analyzed by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, and most of the watersoluble trace elements were found to mainly concentrate in the fine particle size of 0.56–1.0 μm. In comparison with clear days, the mass concentrations of 11 analyzed water-soluble trace elements remarkably increased during haze days, and the oxidative capacities determined by the plasmid scission assay were markedly elevated accordingly during the haze days under the same dosage of particles as for those during clear days. Water-soluble trace elements in airborne particles, such as Cu, V, and particularly Zn, were found to have significantly positive correlations with the plasmid DNA damage rates. 4Studies on 2-Formylphenylboronic Acid-Based Ser/Thr Ligation and Cys/Pen Ligation显示文摘Main observation and conclusion Developing an effective chemoselective ligation strategy for assembling unprotected peptide segments is important to peptide/protein synthesis.The ligation efficiency and selectivity depend on the chemistry between the C-terminal active ester of the peptide(e.g.,the thioester in Native Chemical Ligation or the salicylaldehyde ester in Ser/Thr Ligation and Cys/Pen Ligation)and N-terminal functional groups of the second peptide(Cys or Ser/Thr).Increasing the reactivity of the ligation and decreasing the hydrolysis of the active ester are more like the opposite sites in balance.We investigated the potential application of the peptide acyl ester of 2-formylphenylboronic acid(2-FPBA)in the Ser/Thr ligation and Cys/Pen ligation.With the assistance of boronic acid group,the peptidyl FPBA ester showed remarkable stability in aqueous buffer and its reactivity towards Ser/Thr and Cys/Pen also improved.However,the strong coordination of the amine at the N-terminus and boronic acid suppressed the acyl transfer process when the peptide acyl group was used.More effects should be made to enhance the ligation chemistry.Zhenquan Sun Xuechen Li 2021Chinese Journal of Chemistry2021,39,10:1

6Chemical grout diffusion in porous rock based on response of geoelectric feld显示文摘Porous rock chemical grouting simulation test was conducted using established large scale physical model.Chemical grout diffusing rule in porous media with different permeability was studied by monitoring the spontaneous potential and exciting current response during grouting.The results show that chemical grout spread evenly in all directions and diffusion areas are approximately concentric circles in the cross section of homogeneous transverse isotropic pore medium,the grout spread flling range can be quantitatively decrypted by the diffusion radius.The average diffusion speed and radius increase approximately as the square root with the permeability coeffcient in different permeability media under the same conditions.Calculation results using Maag cylindrical diffusion equation show that the calculated value of diffusion radius is in good agreement with the test value under different grouting pressures and permeability conditions.Jiang Chunlu Jiang Zhenquan Liu Shengdong Sun Qiang Yang Cai 2013International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2013,23,5:1

11ROBUST FACE DETECTION AND ANALYSIS显示文摘This paper presents a method which utilizes color, local symmetry and geometry information of human face based on various models. The algorithm first detects most likely face regions or ROIs (Region-Of-Interest) from the image using face color model and face outline model, produces a face color similarity map. Then it performs local symmetry detection within these ROIs to obtain a local symmetry similarity map. The two maps and local similarity map are fused to obtain potential facial feature points. Finally similarity matching is performed to identify faces between the fusion map and face geometry model under affine transformation. The output results are the detected faces with confidence values. 12Achieving gradient heterogeneous structure in Mg alloy for excellent strength-ductility synergy显示文摘Most metals including Mg alloys have a longstanding dilemma of strength-ductility trade-off,which is hindering their wider applications.In this study,we propose a gradient heterogeneous grain(GHG)structure for evading this trade-off dilemma and ultrasonic severe surface rolling is attempted to construct this novel structure in ZE41 Mg alloy.Here,the GHG structure combine the benefits of gradient structure and heterogeneous grain structure and introduce large microstructural heterogeneities.Compared to the coarse-grain and heterogeneous-grain structured alloys,the GHG structured one exhibits dramatical enhancement in strength,ductility,and strain hardening capability.To the best of our knowledge,its strength becomes much higher than that of common ZE41 Mg alloys at no reduction in ductility.These unique mechanical properties stem from not only the individual contribution of the heterogeneous structure components including the fine/ultrafine grains and deformed coarse grains but also their synergistic effect via hetero-deformation induced strengthening and hardening effects.In summary,our study provides a feasible way to develop new Mg alloys with high strength and good ductility.Jing Han Jiapeng Sun Yuanming Song Bingqian Xu Zhenquan Yang Songsong Xu Ying Han Guosong Wu Jiyun Zhao 2023Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,7:0
13Effect of Occupational Manganese Exposure on Uric Acid Levels in Human Urine显示文摘Objective To investigate the effect of long‐term and low‐level occupational Mn exposure on the level of uric acid (UA) in human urine.Methods In this study,65 volunteers were recruited,who were working on welding and foundry work in an plant in Gansu province,China.Additionally,29 control samples were collected from individuals who did not have any history of excessive Mn exposure.An improved high performance liquid chromatography system equipped with a diode‐array detector (HPLC‐DAD) method was developed to determine the UA level in human urine.A Spectra AA 220 Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS) was used to measure the Mn level in the urine.Results The analytical method was validated for concentrations ranging from 3.82-45.84 μg/mL with acceptable accuracy,precision,and recovery.Overall,the UA levels of Mn exposure samples were significantly lower than that of control samples (P<0.05).Conclusion The practical method developed here is suitable for both routine monitoring of UA level in human urine and metabolism research.Long‐term and low‐level occupational Mn exposure may lead to a lower UA level in urine,and UA might be an indicator of the early stage of manganism.SUN XiaoMing LIU YeWei WANG ZhenQuan LI HongBing LIU Yun DI DuoLong 2011Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3:0
