3Mullite Oxidation Resistant Coating for SiC-coated Carbon/Carbon Composites by Supersonic Plasma Spraying显示文摘To improve the oxidation resistance of carbon/carbon (C/C) composites, mullite coating was prepared on the surface of SiC-coated C/C composites by supersonic plasma spraying. Phases and microstructures of mullite coating were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The coating primarily consists of a single phase of mullite (3Al2O3-2SiO2). The SEM results show that mullite coating was continuous and well bonded with the SiC inner layer without penetrating crack. Mullite coating exhibited good oxidation resistance. 17The influence of alternating cyclic dynamic loads with different low frequencies on the bio-corrosion behaviors of AZ31B magnesium alloy in vitro显示文摘The real physiological environment of human body is complicated with different degrees and forms of dynamic loads applied to implanted medical devices due to the daily activities of the patients,which would have impacts on the degradation behaviors of magnesium alloy implants.In this work,the bio-corrosion behaviors of AZ31B magnesium alloy under alternating cyclic dynamic loads with different low frequencies(0.1-2.5 Hz)were specially investigated.It was found that the bio-degradation performances under external dynamic stressed conditions were much severer than those under unstressed conditions and static loads.The corrosion rates were generally accelerated as the rise of cyclic frequency.Hereby a numerical model for the degradation process of Mg alloy was established.The corrosion current density icorr of Mg alloy and the applied loading frequency f matches a linear relationship of ln icorr∝f,which is the result of interactions between the cyclic alternating load and corrosive environment.This work could provide a theoretical reference and an experimental basis for further researches on the biodegradation behaviors of biomedical materials under dynamic conditions.Linyuan Han Zhenwei Zhang Jianwei Dai Xuan Li Jing Bai Zhihai Huang Chao Guo Feng Xue Chenglin Chu 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,1:0
18Cross-species recognition of bat coronavirus RsYN04 and cross-reaction of SARS-CoV-2 antibodies against the virus显示文摘Following the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),several severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)-related coronaviruses have been discovered.Previous research has identified a novel lineage of SARS-CoV-2-related CoVs in bats,including RsYN04,which recognizes human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)and thus poses a potential threat to humans.Here,we screened the binding of the RsYN04receptor-binding domain(RBD)to ACE2 orthologs from 52animal species and found that the virus showed a narrower ACE2-binding spectrum than SARS-CoV-2.However,the presence of the T484W mutation in the RsYN04 RBD broadened its range.We also evaluated 44 SARS-CoV-2antibodies targeting seven epitope communities in the SARS-CoV-2 RBD,together with serum obtained from COVID-19 convalescents and vaccinees,to determine their cross-reaction against RsYN04.Results showed that no antibodies,except for the RBD-6 and RBD-7 classes,bound to the RsYN04 RBD,indicating substantial immune differences from SARS-CoV-2.Furthermore,the structure of the RsYN04 RBD in complex with cross-reactive antibody S43 in RBD-7 revealed a potently broad epitope for the development of therapeutics and vaccines.Our findings suggest RsYN04 and other viruses belonging to the same clade have the potential to infect several species,including humans,highlighting the necessity for viral surveillance and development of broad anticoronavirus countermeasures.Runchu Zhao Sheng Niu Pu Han Yue Gao Dezhi Liu Chunliang Luo Honghui Liu Bo Liu Yanli Xu Jianxun Qi Zhihai Chen Weifeng Shi Lili Wu George F.Gao Qihui Wang 2023Zoological Research2023,44,6:0
19支气管软镜下冷冻消融后冻切法即刻治疗中央气道阻塞(英文)显示文摘Objective:In order to achieve immediate relief of central airway obstruction caused by malignant tumor after interventional therapy, we observed the efficacy and safety of cryorecanalization after cryosurgery via flexible bronchoscope. Methods:Atotal of 64 cases of patients in all suffered from central airway obstruction were observed and treated by applying cryorecanalization after cryosurgery via flexible bronchoscope. Divide the operation into two steps, including cryosurgery and cryorecanalization. Evaluate the therapeutic effect immediately after the treatment, wherein the evaluating indicator includes preoperative and postoperative dyspnea indexes, quality of life score, bronchoscopy, etc. The surgical safety assessment is mainly by observing the risk of bleeding in the surgery. Results:Forty cases (62.5%) has postoperative dyspnea score improved at least one level compared with preoperative dyspnea score, 24 patients (37.5%) have no significant improvement on dyspnea score. Quality of life score (Karnofsky score):preoperative 52±18.7 points, postoperative 70±9.2 points. Bronchoscopy review:complete suecess in 12 cases (18.8%), partial success in 45 cases (70.3%), no success in 7 cases (12%). 89.1% overall clinical efficiency was achieved. In the surgery, the control to bleeding was satisfactory since no severe bleeding, moderate bleeding in 14 cases (21.9%) and mild bleeding in 50 cases (78.1%) were found as well as rigid bronchoscope was free. 20Implantation of hydrogel-liposome nanoplatform inhibits glioblastoma relapse by inducing ferroptosis显示文摘Glioblastoma is acknowledged as the most aggressive cerebral tumor in adults.However,the efficacy of current standard therapy is seriously undermined by drug resistance and suppressive immune microenvironment.Ferroptosis is a recently discovered form of iron-dependent cell death that may have excellent prospect as chemosensitizer.The utilization of ferropotosis inducer Erastin could significantly mediate chemotherapy sensitization of Temozolomide and exert anti-tumor effects in glioblastoma.In this study,a combination of hydrogel-liposome nanoplatform encapsulatedwith Temozolomide and ferroptosis inducer Erastin was constructed.Theαvβ3 integrin-binding peptide cyclic RGD was utilized to modify codelivery system to achieve glioblastoma targeting strategy.As biocompatible drug reservoirs,cross-linked GelMA(gelatin methacrylamide)hydrogel and cRGD-coated liposome realized the sustained release of internal contents.In the modified intracranial tumor resection model,GelMA-liposome system achieved slow release of Temozolomide and Erastin in situ for more than 14 d.The results indicated that nanoplatform(T+E@LPs-cRGD+GelMA)improved glioblastoma sensitivity to chemotherapeutic temozolomide and exerted satisfactory anti-tumor effects.It was demonstrated that the induction of ferroptosis could be utilized as a therapeutic strategy to overcome drug resistance.Furthermore,transcriptome sequencing was conducted to reveal the underlying mechanism that the nanoplatform(T+E@LPs-cRGD+GelMA)implicated in.It is suggested that GelMA-liposome system participated in the immune response and immunomodulation of glioblastoma via interferon/PD-L1 pathway.Collectively,this study proposed a potential combinatory therapeutic strategy for glioblastoma treatment.Zixiao Wang Zihao Liu Shan Wang Xin Bing Xiaoshuai Ji Dong He Min Han Yanbang Wei Chanyue Wang Qian Xia Jianqiao Yang Jiajia Gao Xianyong Yin Zhihai Wang Zehan Shang Jiacan Xu Tao Xin Qian Liu 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,3:0
