3Ultrasound-Assisted Transient Liquid Phase Bonding of Magnesium Alloy Using Brass Interlayer in Air显示文摘The microstructure evolution and oxide film behavior in ultrasound-assisted transient liquid phase(U-TLP) bonding of Mg alloy were investigated by applying different ultrasonic time at 460?C with brass interlayer in air. The results indicated that with increasing ultrasonic time, brass interlayer disappeared gradually and the Mg-Cu-Zn eutectic compounds were formed. The eutectic compounds in the joint decreased as the ultrasonic time increased further. The oxide removal process was divided into four steps. Continuous oxide film at the interface was partially fractured by ultrasonic vibration,and then suspended into liquid by undermining eutectic reaction. After that, the suspended oxide film was broken into small oxide fragments by ultrasonic cavitation effect, which was finally squeezed out of the joint by ultrasonic squeeze action. In addition, the mechanical properties of the joints were investigated. 4Interfacial Structure and Formation Mechanism of Ultrasonic-assisted Brazed Joint of SiC Ceramics with Al—12Si Filler Metals in Air显示文摘Ultrasonic-assisted brazing of SiC ceramics was performed by filling with an Al—12Si alloy at a low temperature of 620 °C in air. The interfacial characteristics and formation mechanism were investigated. The joint shear strength reached 84–94 MPa using the ultrasonic time of 2–16 s. The fracture morphology showed that the fracture path initiated and propagated in the joint alloy. The thin film of amorphous SiO 2 that formed on the SiC surface was non-uniformly decomposed and diffused into the liquid Al—12Si alloy under the cavitation erosion effect of ultrasound. Abnormal isolated blocks of Al_2 SiO_5 compounds formed at the interface between Al—12Si and a thicker SiO_2 layer formed during the thermal oxidation treatment of the Si C ceramic. 5Thermal comfort models and their developments:A review显示文摘In the past several years,thermal comfort,especially development and application of thermal comfort model,has been a research focus of building environment.Since the 1970s,a series of thermal comfort models based on people’s thermal sensation to environment have been established,and gradually became an important part of the field of thermal comfort research.In this review,the existing thermal comfort models are summarized from various perspectives,such as models applied in different environments like sleeping environment and outdoor environment.Besides,models used for different groups people,such as elderly and different races are discussed.In the part,adaptive models are mentioned.In additions,data-driven models were reviewed.This paper introduced the advantages and disadvantages of each model.Based on the above review,future research work of thermal comfort model is proposed.Qiantao Zhao Zhiwei Lian Dayi Lai 2021Energy and Built Environment2021,2,1:2

18Research on full-period acquisition method for diesel engine based on self-adaptive correlation analysis显示文摘Full-period signal acquisition of vibration signal plays a vital role in the health monitoring and fault diagnosis of modern industrial equipment group. The traditional full-period signal acquisition methods usually need not only a reference signal generated from special key phase device but also a reserved position, which is only suitable for a small number of particular equipment. A novel full-period signal acquisition method without key phase is proposed to construct the time-frequency method with strong energy concentration called the synchrosqueezing generalized S-Transform(SGST), combining together the Teager energy operator(TEO) and self-adaptive correlation analysis(SACA) based on the vibration signals of both gear and cylinder head. Actual vibration signals of diesel engine are employed to verify the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method by comparing with traditional method with special key phase device. 20Application of statistical analysis of sample size:How many occupant responses are required for an indoor environmental quality(IEQ)field study显示文摘Determining required sample size is one of the critical pathways to reproducible,reliable and robust results in human-related studies.This paper aims to answer a fundamental but often overlooked question:what sample size is required in surveys of occupant responses to indoor environmental quality(IEQ).The statistical models are introduced in order to promote determining required sample size for various types of data analysis methods commonly used in IEQ field studies.The Monte Carlo simulations are performed to verify the statistical methods and to illustrate the impact of sample size on the study accuracy and reliability.Several examples are presented to illustrate how to determine the value of the parameters in the statistical models based on previous similar research or existing databases.The required sample size including“worst”and“optimal”cases in each condition is obtained by this method and references.It is indicated that 385 is a“worst case”sample size to be adequate for a subgroup analysis,while if the researcher has an estimate of the study design and outcome,the“optimal case”sample size can potentially be reduced.When the required sample size is not achievable,the uncertainty in the result can properly interpret via a confidence interval.It is hoped that this paper would fill in the gap between statistical analysis of sample size and IEQ field research,and it can provide a useful reference for researchers when planning their own studies.Heng Du Zhiwei Lian Li Lan Dayi Lai 2023Building Simulation2023,16,4:0
