2Exploring single atom catalysts of transition-metal doped phosphorus carbide monolayer for HER:A first-principles study显示文摘Hydrogen has been identified as one of the most promising sustainable and clean energy. Developing hydrogen evolution reaction(HER) catalyst with high activity is essential for satisfying the future requirements. Considering novel advantages of two-dimensional materials and high catalytic activity of atomic transition metal, in this study, using density functional theory calculation, the HER on single transitionmetal(23 different TM atoms) doped phosphorus carbide monolayer(α-PC) has been investigated. The Volmer–Tafel and Volmer–Heyrovsky reaction mechanisms, and the stability of the most promising HER catalyst are also included. The results show that Ir-αPC with high physical and thermal stability has the most optimal value of Gibbs free adsorption energy for H atom. The relationship of d band center and the HER activity shows a volcano-like curve. 3Catch bond-inspired hydrogels with repeatable and loading rate-sensitive specific adhesion显示文摘Biological receptor-ligand adhesion governed by mammalian cells involves a series of mechanochemical pro-cesses that can realize reversible,loading rate-dependent specific interfacial bonding,and even exhibit a counterintuitive behavior called catch bonds that tend to have much longer lifetimes when larger pulling forces are applied.Inspired by these catch bonds,we designed a hydrogen bonding-meditated hydrogel made from acrylic acid-N-acryloyl glycinamide(AA-NAGA)copolymers and tannic acids(TA),which formed repeatable specific adhesion to polar surfaces in an ultra-fast and robust way,but hardly adhered to nonpolar materials.It demonstrated up to five-fold increase in shear adhesive strength and interfacial adhesive toughness with external loading rates varying from 5 to 500 mm min^(-1).With a mechanochemical coupling model based on Monte Carlo simulations,we quantitatively revealed the nonlinear dependence of rate-sensitive interfacial adhesion on external loading,which was in good agreement with the experimental data.Likewise,the developed hydrogels were biocompatible,possessed antioxidant and antibacterial properties and promoted wound healing.This work not only reports a stimuli-responsive hydrogel adhesive suitable for multiple biomedical applications,but also offers an innovative strategy for bionic designs of smart hydrogels with loading rate-sensitive specific adhesion for various emerging areas including flexible electronics and soft robotics.Zuoying Yuan Xiaocen Duan Xing Su Zhuoling Tian Anqi Jiang Zhuo Wan Hao Wang Pengfei Wei Bo Zhao Xiaozhi Liu Jianyong Huang 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,3:1

9Monitoring of Avian Influenza Virus and Newcastle Disease Virus in Suichuan Region of Jiangxi Province显示文摘[Objective] The research aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of Avian influenza virus( AIV) and Newcastle disease virus( NDV)of wild Ardeid birds in Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province. [Method] A total of 110 nasopharyngeal swabs and 110 cloacal swabs of Ardeid birds were collected from Suichuan region of Jiangxi Province in October of 2014. The swabs were conducted the virus isolation using SPF chicken embryos,suspected positive samples were screened by hemagglutination( HA) test and identified by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction( RT-PCR). [Results] HA titre of all 110 test samples was 0 except four samples. Detection on AIV and NDV of the test samples by RT-PCR showed that all the samples were negative,which indicated that the infection risk of avian influenza( AI) and newcastle disease( ND) of Ardeid birds in Suichuan region in Jiangxi Province in the summer of 2014 was low. 10Application of Serum Apelin and MMP-9 in Evaluation of Silicosis and Their Correlation with Lung Function显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to explore the combination of serum Apelin and MMP-9 in the assessment of silicosis and their correlation with lung function. [Methods] From January 2020 to January 2021, eight patients with silicosis(including 3, 2 and 3 patients with silicosis in stages I, II and III respectively) were selected as the observation group, and eight persons frees of silicosis were selected as the control group during the same period. All patients were detected for serum APJ endogenous ligand(Apelin) of G protein-coupled receptor, matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) and pulmonary function indexes. The levels of serum Apelin and MMP-9 and lung function in the two groups were compared, and the correlation between serum Apelin and MMP-9 indexes and lung function was analyzed. [Results] The serum Apelin and lung function in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the level of MMP-9 in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The MMP-9 index in patients with silicosis in stage III was higher than those in patients with silicosis in stage II and stage I, and the MMP-9 index in patients with silicosis in stage II was higher than that in patients with silicosis in stage I, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The serum Apelin and lung function indexes of patients with silicosis in stage III were lower than those of patients with silicosis in stage II and stage I, and the serum Apelin and lung function indexes of patients with silicosis in stage II were lower than those of patients with silicosis in stage I, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). The correlation analysis showed a positive correlation between serum Apelin and lung function indexes, and a negative correlation between MMP-9 and lung function indexes. [Conclusions] A lower serum Apelin and a higher MMP-9 value in patients with silicosis indicate severer lung function impairment, and the combined detection of serum Apelin and MMP-9 is conducive to effective evaluation of the disease of silicosis. 11Owner-dominated building information modeling and lean construction in a megaproject显示文摘The integration of building information modeling(BIM)and lean construction(LC)provides a solution for the management of megaprojects.Previous studies have generally focused on the theoretical or empirical adoption of BIM and LC.Moreover,only a few studies have examined the approach of simultaneously using BIM and LC in megaprojects.Therefore,an intensive study on the application of BIM and LC in megaprojects,particularly to explore considerably effective integrated application modes of BIM and LC in megaprojects,will substantially promote the management efficiency of megaprojects.The current study describes a method that integrates owner-dominated BIM and LC that was developed in a case study.The proposed method provides a framework for all stakeholders to use BIM and LC in a megaproject dominated by the owner.The interactional relations among the owner,BIM,and LC were analyzed and positive interactions were identified.These positive interactions served as a basis for the implementation of this integrated approach in a case study and could be applied to other megaprojects.The megaproject(i.e.,airport construction project)was examined to verify the performance of the developed method.Results showed that the integration of BIM and LC dominated by the owner can improve management performance and achieve high quality standard.Mingyue LI Zhuoling MA Xi TANG 2021Frontiers of Engineering Management2021,8,1:0

13Symmetry-driven half-integer conductance quantization in Cobalt–fulvalene sandwich nanowire显示文摘Precise manipulation and monitoring spin transport in one-dimensional (1D) systems is a long-sought goal in the field of nano-spintronics. Based on first-principles calculations, we report the observation of half-integer conductance quantization in the Cobalt-fulvalene sandwich nanowire. Compared with a pure monatomic Cobalt wire, the introduction of fulvalene molecules leads to threeimportant features: Firstly, the strong coupling between the fulvalene and the Cobalt prevents the contamination of the ambientair, ensuring both chemical and physical stabilities;Secondly, the fulvalene symmetry-selectively filters out most of the d-typeorbitals of the Cobalt while leaving a single d-type orbital to form an open spin channel around the Fermi level, which offers amechanism to achieve the observed half-integer conductance;Thirdly, it maintains a superexchange coupling between adjacent Coatoms to achieve a high Curie temperature.
