| 7 | Step kinematic calibration of a 3-DOF planar parallel kinematic machine tool显示文摘This paper presents a novel step kinematic calibration method for a 3 degree-of-freedom(DOF) planar parallel kinematic machine tool,based on the minimal linear combinations(MLCs) of error parameters.The method using mapping of linear combinations of parameters in error transfer multi-parameters coupling system changes the modeling,identification and error compensation of geometric parameters in the general kinematic calibration into those of linear combinations of parameters.By using the four theorems of the MLCs,the sets of the MLCs that are respectively related to the relative precision and absolute precision are determined.All simple and feasible measurement methods in practice are given,and identification analysis of the set of the MLCs for each measurement is carried out.According to the identification analysis results,a step calibration including step measurement,step identification and step error compensation is determined by taking into account both measurement costs and observability.The experiment shows that the proposed method has the following merits:(1) the parameter errors that cannot influence precision are completely avoided;(2) it reflects the mapping of linear combinations of parameters more accurately and enhances the precision of identification;and(3) the method is robust,efficient and effective,so that the errors in position and orientation are kept at the same order of the measurement noise.Due to these merits,the present method is attractive for the 3-DOF planar parallel kinematic machine tool and can be also applied to other parallel kinematic machine tools with weakly nonlinear kinematics. | CHANG Peng,WANG JinSong,LI TieMin,LIU XinJun & GUAN LiWen Department of Precision Instruments and Mechanology,Tsinghua University,Beijing 100084,China | 2008 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2008,51,12: | 9 |

| 9 | Grey Markov chain and its application in drift prediction model of FOGs显示文摘A novel grey Markov chain predictive model is discussed to reduce drift influence on the output of fiber optical gyroscopes (FOGs) and to improve FOGs’ measurement precision. The proposed method possesses advantages of grey model and Markov chain. It makes good use of dynamic modeling idea of the grey model to predict general trend of original data. Then according to the trend, states are divided so that it can overcome the disadvantage of high computational cost of state transition probability matrix in Markov chain. Moreover, the presented approach expands the applied scope of the grey model and makes it be fit for prediction of random data with bigger fluctuation. The numerical results of real drift data from a certain type FOG verify the effectiveness of the proposed grey Markov chain model powerfully. The Markov chain is also investigated to provide a comparison with the grey Markov chain model. | 11 | Effect of ^(60)Co-gamma radiation on the random walk error of interferometric fiber optic gyroscopes显示文摘Two ^(60)Co-gamma radiation experiments were launched to explore the radiation effect on optical components and interferometric fiber optic gyroscope (IFOG). In optical components radiation experiment, the result showed that polarization-maintaining (PM) fiber coil loss was the most affected parameter in all the RWC (random walk coefficient) related parameters, compared with the weak sensitivity of other components parameters. In the IFOG radiation experiment, the RWC performance degradation was found to be almost due to an increase of the PM fiber attenuation. Based on the experiment result, a RWC prediction model in radiation, which is obtained by embedding PM fiber loss expression into the RWC model, was built following a power law of dose and dose rate. An IFOG RWC in space radiation environment was predicted from radiation dose and dose rate by the RWC prediction model. | 13 | Solving the input data in error correc-tion of optical fabrication by finite Fourier coefficient algorithm显示文摘A free-form lens (FFL) is a special surface that is difficult to be fabricated. FFL are usually fabricated by computer-controlled optical surfacing (CCOS) technique. During CCOS, the material removal amount is determined by the unit removal function (URF) convoluting with the input data――the dwell time. When the removal amount and the URF are known, how to solve the input data involves the special algorithm――deconvolution. Usually, the input data are solved by virtue of low pass filter or iterative methods. However, an approximation solution would destroy the machining stability nec-essary to perform precisely CCOS. In this paper, to solve the input data, a new method that is based on the finite Fourier coefficient is put forward. It can give a continuous and accurate solution for fabricating choice. Several parameters are simulated, which influ-ence the process of CCOS, and evaluating on the effect of the method is also carried out. | 18 | Color 3D Reverse Engineering显示文摘This paper presents a principle and a method of col or 3D laser scanning measurement. Based on the fundamental monochrome 3D measureme nt study, color information capture, color texture mapping, coordinate computati on and other techniques are performed to achieve color 3D measurement. The syste m is designed and composed of a line laser light emitter, one color CCD camera, a motor-driven rotary filter, a circuit card and a computer. Two steps in captu ring object’s images in the measurement process: First, the color CCD camera ta kes the color picture of the object to be used for texture mapping in post proce ssing. Secondly, the monochrome data of the object is taken. The laser light emi tter is started; the light plane and the surface of the object intersect to form an undulate line, which forms an image on the CCD sensor. After the optic- electronics transformation, the electronic signals are captured and send to the computer. A new color 3D measurement model was derived, and a rapid calibra ting method to measure the system parameters was proposed--optical plane equat ion calibrating method. A calibrating drone was designed and built. 3D color sca nning system not only provides an object’s individual point information in the 3D coordinate, in the mean time, it provides the color information of each indiv idual point. This paper also advances a multi-frame auto-merging method, i.e. several frames of color 3D digital images measured are merged quickly according to their curvature characteristics and RGB information. Initial matching and fin e tune of the registration are completely performed by the computer; initial mat ching is via user interface in helping computer to find the transformation matri x. The transformation matrix is found according to the geometric characteristics chosen by hand. After the initial transformation matrix is found, fine tune of the registration is preformed to do the optimum adjustment to achieve a complete color textured 3D model. | 20 | Experimental study on filtering,transporting, concentrating and focusing of microparticles based on optically induced dielectrophoresis显示文摘The key problem to be solved for the dielectrophoresis (DEP) application is to provide dynamically reconfigurable microelectrodes and low-cost methodology for bioparticle manipulation.The emergence of optically induced DEP (ODEP) based on photoconductive effect provides a potential solution for the above problem.In this paper,an ODEP chip is designed and fabricated,and the corresponding experimental platform was established,whereupon four types of particle manipulation regimes–filtering,transporting,concentrating and focusing based on ODEP are experimentally demonstrated and the operating performances are quantitatively analyzed.The experiment results show that the functions and performances of ODEP manipulation are heavily dependent on the geometrical shape,scales and speed of optical patterns,actuating signal frequency and the electric conductivity of the solution.The manipulation efficiency can increase by more than 50% via increasing the optical line width.Moreover,the efficiency is obviously affected by the inclination angle of the optical oblique lines in the manipulation of particle focusing.Additionally,the maximum velocity of particles increases with the increment of the inside radius and the thickness of the optical trapping ring.Particle manipulation efficiency is always related to signal frequency and solution conductivity,and empirically,satisfactory performance and high efficiency are obtained when the solution electric conductivity ranges from 5×10-4 S/m to 5×10-3 S/m. | ZHU XiaoLu,YIN ZhiFeng,GAO ZhiQiang & NI ZhongHua Jiangsu Key Laboratory for Design and Manufacture of Micro-Nano Biomedical Instruments,Southeast University,Nanjing 211189,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,9: | 3 |
