Production of A356 aluminum alloy wheels by thixo-forging combined with a low superheat casting process显示文摘The A356 aluminum alloy wheels were produced by thixo-forging combined with a low superheat casting process. The as-cast microstructure, microstructure evolution during reheating and the mechanical properties of thixo-forged wheels made from the A356 aluminum alloy were studied. The results show that the A356 aluminum alloy round billet with fine, uniform and non-dendritic grains can be obtained when the melt is cast at 635 oC.When the round billet is reheated at 600 oC for 60 min,the non-dendritic grains are changed into spherical ones and the round billet can be easily thixo-forged into wheels. The tensile strength, yield strength and elongation of the thixo-forged wheels with T6 heat treatment are 327.6 MPa,228.3 MPa and7.8%,respectively,which are higher than those of a cast wheel. It is suggested that the thixo-forging combined with the low superheat casting process is an effective technique to produce aluminum alloy wheels with high mechanical properties. | Wang Shuncheng Cai Chang Zheng Kaihong Qi Wenjun | 2013 | China Foundry2013,10,5: | 5

Preparation, structure and properties of Mg/Al laminated metal composites fabricated by roll-bonding, a review显示文摘Laminated metal composites(LMCs) are a unique composite material and have great application prospects in automobiles, ships, aircraft, and other manufacturing industries. As lightweight materials, the Mg/Al LMCs are expected to combine the advantages of both Mg and Al alloys to broaden their application prospects. Roll-bonding is the most popular process for the fabrication of Mg/Al LMCs due to high production efficiency and good product quality stability. The roll-bonding process involves the deformation of the substrates and the formation of the interfacial diffusion layer. The latter will directly determine the interface bonding strength of Mg/Al LMCs. Bonding strength is very sensitive to the thickness of the reaction layer in the diffusion layer. When the thickness of the reaction layer exceeds 5 μm, the bonding strength decreases sharply. Therefore, controlling the thickness of the reaction layer is very important for the design of rolling parameters. The latest research also showed that the addition of intermediate layer metal and the construction of three-dimensional interfaces can further improve the interface bonding strength. How to apply these methods to roll-bonding is the focus of future research. Recently, a new rolling technique, corrugated roll/plat roll rolling+flat roll/flat roll rolling has been developed to fabricate Mg/Al LMCs. It can effectively promote the deformation of the hard layer and generate a wavy interface, resulting in the enhancement of the bonding quality and rolling quality. In the current review, the effects of rolling parameters and subsequent annealing on the interface structure of Mg/Al LMCs were elaborated in detail. The application of some special rolling techniques in the preparation of Mg/Al LMCs was also summarized. The latest research results on the relationship between interface structure and mechanical properties of Mg/Al LMCs were reviewed. Finally, further research directions in this field were proposed. | Tingting Liu Bo Song Guangsheng Huang Xianquan Jiang Shengfeng Guo Kaihong Zheng Fusheng Pan | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,8: | 4
Detection of CYP2E1,a Genetic Biomarker of Susceptibility to Benzene Metabolism Toxicity in Immortal Human Lymphocytes Derived from the Han Chinese Population显示文摘Objective Cytochrome P450 2E1 (CYP2E1) is an important metabolizing enzyme involved in oxidative stress responses to benzene,a chemical associated with bone marrow toxicity and leukemia. We aimed to identify the CYP2E1 genetic biomarkers of susceptibility to benzene toxicity in support of environmental and occupational exposure prevention, and to test whether a model using immortal human lymphocytes might be an efficient tool for detecting genetic biomarkers. Methods Immortalized human lymphocyte cell lines with independent genotypes on four CYP2E1 SNP sites were induced with 0.01% phenol,a metabolite of benzene.CYP2E1 gene function was evaluated by mRNA expression and enzyme activity.DNA damage was measured by Single‐Cell Gel Electrophoresis (SCGE).Results Among the four SNPs,cells with rs2070673TT and rs2030920CC showed higher levels of CYP2E1 transcription and enzymatic activity than the other genotypes in the same SNP site.Cells with higher gene expression genotypes also showed higher comet rates compared with lower gene expression genotypes. Conclusion These results suggest that CYP2E1 rs2070673 and rs2030920 might be the genetic biomarkers of susceptibility to benzene toxicity and that the immortalized human lymphocytes model might be an efficient tool for the detection of genetic biomarkers of susceptibility to chemicals. | ZHANG Juan YIN LiHong LIANG GeYu LIU Ran FAN KaiHong PU YuePu | 2011 | Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2011,24,3: | 4
Hierarchical control of a class of uncertain linear systems显示文摘Hierarchical control method which is based on a hierarchical architecture has been developed to be mainly aimed at large-scale complex systems. In order to analyse and control this kind of systems,we construct first an appropriate and low-dimensional abstract system, then synthesise and lift the control law from the obtained abstraction to the original system. As far as the linear systems with uncertain terms are concerned, this paper studies the robust control problem of high-dimensional uncertain linear systems and derives the results by employing hierarchical controlmethod.Furthermore, the LMI toolbox is allowed to be used for the computation of interface functions. Finally, our method framework is illustrated on a five-dimensional uncertain linear system. | Kaihong Yang Haibo Ji | 2016 | Journal of Control and Decision2016,3,2: | 3
Microstructures and mechanical properties of titanium-reinforced magnesium matrix composites: Review and perspective显示文摘Currently, many gratifying signs of progress have been made in magnesium(Mg) matrix composites(MMCs) by virtue of their high mechanical properties both at room and elevated temperatures. Although the commonly used reinforcements in MMCs are ceramic particles, they often provide improved yield and ultimate stresses by a significant loss in ductility. Therefore, hard metallic phases were introduced as alternative candidates for the manufacturing of MMCs, especially titanium(Ti). It has a high melting point, high Young’s modulus, high plasticity, low level of mutual solubility with Mg matrix, and closer thermal expansion coefficient to that of Mg metal than that of ceramic particles. It is highly preferable to provide both high ultimate stress and ductility in Mg matrix. However, many critical challenges for the fabrication of Ti-reinforced MMCs remain, such as Ti’s homogeneity, low recovery rate, and the optimization of interfacial bonding strength between Mg and Ti, etc. Meanwhile, different fabrication methods have various effects on the microstructures, mechanical properties, and the interfacial strength of Ti-reinforced MMCs. Hence, this review placed emphasis on the microstructural characteristics and mechanical properties of Ti-reinforced MMCs fabricated by different techniques. The influencing factors that govern the strengthening mechanisms were systematically compared and discussed. Future research trends, key issues, and prospects were also proposed to develop Ti-reinforced MMCs. | Hong Yang Xianhua Chen Guangsheng Huang Jiangfeng Song Jia She Jun Tan Kaihong Zheng Yiming Jin Bin Jiang Fusheng Pan | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,9: | 2

Atomistic simulation on the generation of defects in Cu/SiC composites during cooling显示文摘The coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)mismatch between the reinforcement and the matrix results in thermal residual stresses and defects within metal-matrix composites(MMCs)upon cooling from the processing temperature to ambient temperature. The residual stresses and thermally induced defects play an important role in the mechanical properties of MMCs,it is critical to understand the mechanism of defect formation and evolution. This study provides atomistic simulations to reveal the generation of thermal residual stresses, dislocation and incomplete stacking fault tetrahedron(ISFT)during cooling in the idealized Cu/SiC composites. We found that dislocations are generated explosively in a certain temperature range during cooling, which results in a non-linear relationship between dislocation density and temperature. The combined effect of the stresses induced by CTE mismatch and the thermodynamic state of the metal leads to the rapid generation of dislocations. The Shockley partial and the highly stable stair rod are the two dominant dislocation structures. The immobile stair-rod dislocations and the highly stable ISFTs formed in the initial high temperature stage inhibit further development of plastic deformation. The present results provide new insights into the defect formation mechanism and the dislocation strengthening mechanism of MMCs caused by thermal mismatch between constituents. | Yongnan Xiong Wangyu Hu Yao Shu Xing Luo Zhibo Zhang Jiazhen He Cuicui Yin Kaihong Zheng | 2022 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,28: | 1
