1Recent advances in mass spectrometry analysis of low molecular weight heparins显示文摘Carbohydrates are important biomolecules and promising novel drug candidates, but their structural complexity and heterogeneity hinder their study and application. Low molecular weight heparins(LMWHs) are widely used as anticoagulants in the clinic and are considered the most successful carbohydrate-based drugs. They consist of both natural structures inherited from parent heparin and modified structures derived from depolymerization reactions. Sophisticated analytical methods are in great demand to elucidate the fine structure of LMWHs. This review summarizes recent progress in mass spectrometry(MS) that facilitates the in-depth structural characterization of LMWHs. The strategies can be sorted into top-down approaches and bottom-up approaches. In top-down approaches, the intact oligosaccharides are analyzed directly by hyphenated MS techniques to reveal their distribution and composition. Bottom-up approaches provide complementary structural information by analyzing partially enzymatically digested fragments or exhaustively degraded disaccharide building blocks of LMWHs. Advances in the MS/MS sequencing of short oligosaccharides and bioinformatics tools are also reviewed. Multidimensional analysis by MS offers a rigorous inspection of LMWHs, which is indispensable for ensuring drug quality and expanding their applications.Zhangjie Wang Lianli Chi 2018Chinese Chemical Letters2018,29,1:4
2MOF-Derived ZnS Nanodots/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene Hybrids Boosting Superior Lithium Storage Performance显示文摘ZnS has great potentials as an anode for lithium storage because of its high theoretical capacity and resource abundance;however,the large volume expansion accompanied with structural collapse and low conductivity of ZnS cause severe capacity fading and inferior rate capability during lithium storage. Herein,0D-2 D ZnS nanodots/Ti_(3)C_(2)T_x MXene hybrids are prepared by anchoring ZnS nanodots on Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene nanosheets through coordination modulation between MXene and MOF precursor(ZIF-8) followed with sulfidation. The MXene substratecoupled with the ZnS nanodots can synergistically accommodate volume variation of ZnS over charge–discharge to realize stable cyclability. As revealed by XPS characterizations and DFT calculations,the strong interfacial interaction between ZnS nanodots and MXene nanosheets can boost fast electron/lithium-ion transfer to achieve excellent electrochemical activity and kinetics for lithium storage. Thereby,the as-prepared ZnS nanodots/MXene hybrid exhibits a high capacity of 726.8 mAh g^(-1) at 30 mA g^(-1),superior cyclic stability(462.8 mAh g^(-1) after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1)),and excellent rate performance. 3Preparation of pH-responsive ceramic composite membranes by grafting acrylic acid onto α-alumina membranes显示文摘A pH-responsive ceramic composite membrane was prepared by chemical graft polymerization of acrylic acid (AA) onto the KH-570 modified α-alumina membrane. The influence of monomer concentration on the gating characteristics of the pH-responsive membrane was investigated. The FT-IR spectrum, contact angle and water filtration rate of the membrane were measured. The monomer concentration was found to have a remarkable effect on the pH-response coefficient and the water filtration rate. 12Effect of vasoactive intestinal peptide on pulmonary surfactants phospholipid synthesis in lung explants显示文摘AIM: To investigate the effect of vasoactive intestinal peptide (VIP) on pulmonary surfactants (PS) phospholipid synthesis in cultured lung explants. METHODS: Lung explants were cultured with serum-free medium, [methyl- 3H]choline incorporation, total phospholipid, phosphatidylcholine, activity of choline-phosphate cytidylyltransferase (CCT) and CCTα mRNA level in lung explants were determined. RESULTS: (1) VIP (10-10-10-7mol/L) for 16 h promoted [methyl-3H]choline incorporation in dose dependence and VIP (10-8mol/L) for 2 h-16 h promoted [methyl- 3H]choline incorporation in time dependence. (2) VIP (10-8 mol/L) enhanced the contents of total phospholipids and phosphatidylcholine in lung explants. (3) VIP (10-10-10-7mol/L) elevated microsomal CCT activity of lung explants in dose dependence. (4) VIP (10-8 mol/L) increased expression of CCTα mRNA in lung explants and alveolar type II cells (ATII). (5) [D-P-Cl-Phe(6)-Leu(17)]-VIP (10-6 mol/L), a VIP receptors antagonist, abolished the increase of [3H]choline incorporation, microsomal CCT activity and CCTα mRNA level induced by VIP (10-8 mol/L) in lung explants. 14Dopant-vacancy activated tetragonal transition metal selenide for hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis显示文摘Hydrogen production from water electrolysis using renewable electricity is a highly promising route to solve the energy crisis of human society. The tetragonal 3d-transition metal selenide with metallic feature has been discovered to efficiently catalyze the hydrogen evolution electrocatalysis;however, its performance is still unsatisfactory and further improvement is necessary. Herein, the hydrogen evolution reaction of the functional tetragonal 3d-transition metal selenide with the heteroatom-dopant as well as cationic vacancy is fully investigated by means of density functional theory calculations. Our results identify 53 promising candidates endowed with good activity due to the absolute free energy of hydrogen adsorption |ΔGH| ≤ 0.30 eV wherein 15 candidates with |ΔG_H| ≤ 0.09 eV possess compelling performance in comparison with the benchmark Pt material. Interestingly, the functional CuSe systems account for 29out of 53 candidates, being high attractive for experimental synthesis. According to the analysis of electronic structure, the enhanced performance stems from the upshift of the sp orbitals, which benefits for the improved affinity toward hydrogen capture. 15HOXB8 contributed to oxaliplatin chemo-resistance in colon cancercells by activating STAT3显示文摘Background:Homeobox B8(HOXB8),a member of HOX family,plays a key role in the development of colorectal cancer(CRC).However,the function of HOXB8 in oxaliplatin(OXA)resistance in CRC is still unclear.This study investigated the role and precise molecular mechanism of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC cells.Methods:The cell viability was measured by the 3-[4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl]-2,5 diphenyl tetrazolium bromide(MTT)assay,and the colony forming ability was determined by colony formation assay.The silencing RNA(siRNA)approach was used to knockdown HOXB8 in CRC cells while the lentiviral transfection system was used to establish stable HOXB8 overexpressing CRC cells.The protein and mRNA levels were evaluated by western blot and real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction.Results:HOXB8 expression was upregulated in OXA-resistant HCT116 cells(HCT116/OXA)compared to its level in the parent HCT116 cells.Knockdown of HOXB8 significantly inhibited CRC cell growth by suppressing the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)pathway.HOXB8 knockdown also potentiated cytotoxicity of OXA in CRC cells.Inversely,HOXB8 overexpression attenuated OXAinduced growth inhibition of HCT116 cells and RKO cells by activating STAT3 signaling.HOXB8 knockdown effectively inhibited HCT116/OXA cell viability regardless of OXA treatment by suppressing STAT3 signaling.Conclusions:These results shed light on the important functions of HOXB8 in OXA-resistant CRC and suggested that targeting HOXB8 might be an effective therapeutic strategy for select OXA-resistant CRC patients.LIANLI NI YUN YU HAN LIN WEISHAN ZHUGE LU TAO YIWEI SHEN RI CUI SHAOTANG LI 2023BIOCELL2023,47,10:0
16One-Step Synthesis of Ultrathin Carbon Nanoribbons from Metal–Organic Framework Nanorods for Oxygen Reduction and Zinc–Air Batteries显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)carbon nanostructures play a critical role in energy-related applications,but developing facile and efficient strategies to synthesize these kinds of nanostructures is extremely rare.Herein,ultrathin carbon nanoribbons(CNRibs),with a thickness of 2–6 nm and length over 100 nm,have been strategically fabricated via a one-step pyrolysis of one-dimensional(1D)metal–organic framework nanorods(MOF NRods).Manipulating the diameters of MOF NRods will result in the formation of porous carbon nanostructures in 1D or 2D morphologies.Functional CNRibs with N doping or metal active site immobilization have also been studied.The CNRibs decorated with iron nanoclusters and single atoms have been used as excellent catalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction under both alkaline and acidic conditions,as well as zinc–air batteries.This work gives deep insights into the structural evolution from 1D to 2D morphology,providing an efficient approach to fabricate low-dimensional nanomaterials with controllable morphologies and functionalities for electrochemical applications.Lianli Zou Yong-Sheng Wei Chun-Chao Hou Miao Wang Yu Wang Hao-Fan Wang Zheng Liu Qiang Xu 2022CCS Chemistry2022,4,1:0
17Single-phase formation mechanism and dielectric properties of sol-gel-derived Ba(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Sn_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Ce_(0.2))O_(3) high-entropy ceramics显示文摘Single-phase Ba(Ti_(0.2)Zr_(0.2)Sn_(0.2)Hf_(0.2)Ce_(0.2))O_(3)(BTZSHC) high-entropy ceramics(HECs) with the perovskite structure were successfully prepared via the sol-gel method.The results reveal that the as-prepared ceramics exhibit a single cubic phase belonging to the Pm3 m space group.The high entropy is the driving force of the formation of single-phase ceramics.A larger entropy(ΔS_(mix)) and a negative enthalpy(ΔH_(mix)) are conducive to the formation of single-phase compounds.Herein,ΔS_(mix)=0.323 R mole-1andΔH_(mix)=43.88 kJ/mol.The sluggish-diffusion effect ensures the thermal stability of high-entropy systems.Dielectric measurements reveal that the as-prepared BTZSHC high-entropy ceramics are relaxor ferroelectrics,and the degree of relaxor(γ) is 1.9.The relaxor behavior of the as-prepared ceramics can be ascribed to the relaxation and thermal evolution of their polar units(PUs).The findings of this work provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the preparation of single-phase high-entropy ceramics.Jia Liu Cuiying Ma Lianli Wang Ke Ren Hongpei Ran Danni Feng Huiling Du Yiguang Wang 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,35:0
