Structural modal parameter identifi cation and damage diagnosis based on Hilbert-Huang transform显示文摘Traditional modal parameter identifi cation methods have many disadvantages, especially when used for processing nonlinear and non-stationary signals. In addition, they are usually not able to accurately identify the damping ratio and damage. In this study, methods based on the Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT) are investigated for structural modal parameter identifi cation and damage diagnosis.First, mirror extension and prediction via a radial basis function(RBF) neural network are used to restrain the troublesome end-effect issue in empirical mode decomposition(EMD),which is a crucial part of HHT.Then, the approaches based on HHT combined with other techniques, such as the random decrement technique(RDT),natural excitation technique(NExT) and stochastic subspace identifi cation(SSI),are proposed to identify modal parameters of structures.Furthermore,a damage diagnosis method based on the HHT is also proposed.Time-varying instantaneous frequency and instantaneous energy are used to identify the damage evolution of the structure. The relative amplitude of the Hilbert marginal spectrum is used to identify the damage location of the structure. Finally, acceleration records at gauge points from shaking table testing of a 12-story reinforced concrete frame model are taken to validate the proposed approaches. The results show that the proposed approaches based on HHT for modal parameter identifi cation and damage diagnosis are reliable and practical.Han Jianping Zheng Peijuan Wang Hongtao 2014Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2014,13,1:11
Monovalent cation perm-selective membranes(MCPMs)'New developments and perspectives显示文摘As one of the most typical and promising membrane processes, electrodialysis(ED) technique plays a more and more significant role in industrial separation. Especially, the separation of monovalent cations and multivalent cations is currently a hot topic, which is not only desirable for many industries but also challenging for academic explorations. The main aim of the present contribution is to view the advances of a wide variety of monovalent cation perm-selective membranes(MCPMs) and their preparation technologies including(1) covalent crosslinking,(2) surface modification,(3) polymer blending,(4) electrospinning,(5) nanofiltration alike membrane,and(6) organic–inorganic hybrid. The relevant advantages and disadvantages with respect to some specific cases have been discussed and compared in detail. Furthermore, we elaborately discuss the opportunities and challenges of MCPMs, the fabricating strategies to take and the future perspectives.Liang Ge Bin Wu Dongbo Yu Abhishek N.Mondal Linxiao Hou Noor U1 Afsar Qiuhua Li Tingting Xu Jibin Miao Tongwen Xu 2017Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,11:8
Mechanism and kinetics study on removal of Iron from phosphoric acid by cation exchange resin显示文摘Iron element is one of the main impurities in wet-process phosphoric acid and it has a significant impact on the subsequent phosphorus chemical products. This paper studied the feasibility of using Sinco-430 cation exchange resin for iron removal from phosphoric acid. The specific surface area and the total exchange capacity of resin were 8.91 m2·g-1 and 5.18 mmol·g-1, respectively. The sorption mechanism was determined by FTIR and XPS and the results indicated that iron was combined with-SO3 H in resin. The removal process was studied as a function of temperature, H3 PO4 content and mass ratio between resin and solution. The unit mass of resin to remove iron was 0.058 g·g-1 resin when the operating parameters were T = 50 ℃, H3 PO4 content = 27.61 wt%and S/L = 0.1, respectively. Kinetics study demonstrated that pseudo-second-order reaction model fits this study best and the calculated activation energy of overall reaction is 29.10 kJ·mol-1. The overall reaction process was mainly controlled by pore diffusion.Xinke Leng Yanjun Zhong Dehua Xu Xinlong Wang Lin Yang 2019Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2019,27,5:7
A new boundary element solution to evaluate the geometric effects of the canyon site on the displacement response spectrum显示文摘This paper presents a step-by-step procedure using the three-dimensional boundary element approach to study the behavior of semi-circular canyons under seismic shear waves. The boundary element code TDASC allows utilization for various canyon geometries, evaluation of concurrent seismic waves and calculation of the ground motions on canyons due to an excitation at any arbitrary point of the incident field. Considering the widening ratio of the canyon(including prismatic, semi-prismatic and non-prismatic canyons), wave characteristics(wavelength, dimensionless period, direction) and maximum amplification pattern, the solution was applied to carry out a series of parametric studies. It was shown that canyon form can significantly affect the displacement amplification, especially at the points located on its edges. By increasing the wave dimensionless frequency(η > 1), the amplification pattern becomes more complex. On the basis of the results from a variety of considered cases, a new expression has been presented for the limiting wavelength beyond which the widening of the canyon will not have a major effect on the displacement amplification. To verify the reliability of the proposed approach, the obtained results, expressed in terms of displacement amplitude, were compared with those from the available published literature and a reasonably good agreement was observed.Reza Tarinejad Mohsen Isari Abbasali Taghavi Ghalesari 2019Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,2:6
Evaluation of D113 cation exchange resin for the removal of Eu(Ⅲ) from aqueous solution显示文摘Batch adsorption experiments were conducted for the adsorption of Eu(Ⅲ) ions from aqueous solution by D113 resin. The results indicated that D113 resin could adsorb Eu(Ⅲ) ion effectively from aqueous solution. The adsorption was strongly dependent on pH of the medium with enhanced adsorption as the pH turned from 3.50 to 7.00 and the optimal adsorption condition was in HAc-NaAc medium with pH value of 6.50. The maximum uptake capacity of Eu(Ⅲ) ions was 290.9 mg/g D113 at 298 K, at an initial pH value of 6.50. The overall adsorption process was best described by Lagergren-first-order kinetics. When Freundlich and Langmuir isotherms were tested, the latter had a better fit with the experimental data. The thermodynamic parameters such as free energy (G) which were all negative, indicated that the adsorption of Eu(Ⅲ) ions onto D113 resin was spontaneous and the positive value of enthalpy (H) showed that the adsorption was endothermic in nature. Thomas model was applied to experimental column data to determine the characteristic parameters of column useful for process design. Furthermore, Eu(Ⅲ) could be eluted by using 3.0 mol/L HCl solution and the D113 resin could be regenerated and reused.熊春华 郑展望 2010Journal of Rare Earths2010,28,6:6
ON THE USE OF A SYSTEM-SCALE ASCENT/DESCENT DIAGNOSTIC FOR SHORT-TERM FORECASTING OF TROPICAL CYCLONE DEVELOPMENT,INTENSIFICATION AND DECAY显示文摘The Brisbane Tropical Cyclone Warning Centre has used two forms of a thermal advection diagnostic to identify relatively large areas of isentropic ascent and descent for many years. When the thermodynamic conditions are favourable the ascent regions are correlated with significant outbreaks of convection that produce heavy rainfall. The diagnostic is based on the relationship between geostrophic winds that turn with height and flow perpendicular to thickness contours. As the relationship is also valid for the more general case of gradient winds, the diagnostic, in theory, should be useful for most heavy-rain-bearing tropical systems. A climatology of rainfall rate with one form of the diagnostic is presented at two Queensland locations(one tropical and one subtropical) that demonstrates a clear relationship between the isentropic ascent wind distribution and heavy to extreme rainfall. The diagnostics applied to numerical weather prediction models are valuable forecast tools as they identify heavy rainfall threat regions within which the extreme rain is likely to fall, whereas the rainfall from the same models is often under predicted or has large location errors. Applied to tropical lows and tropical cyclones the diagnostics have been used successfully to forecast tropical cyclone formation and rapid intensification and decay. Examples of such intensification and decay from around the world are presented, as well as a climatology of the diagnostic applied to intensifying tropical cyclones in the Australian region.JEFF CALLAGHAN KEVIN TORY 2014Tropical Cyclone Research and Review2014,3,2:5
Recent development in NMDA receptors显示文摘Purpose To identify the structure and the function of NMDA receptors, to understand the modulatory mechanism of some endogenous and exogenous compounds on NMDA receptors, and to provide theoretical basis for developing new drugs that modulate NMDA receptors Data sources A total of 24 originally identified articles were selected Study selection A total of 24 articles were selected from several hundred original articles or reviews. The content of selected articles are in accordance with our purpose and the authors are authorized scientists in the study on NMDA receptors.Data extraction After careful review of the selected papers, the meaningful results and conclusions were extracted using scientific criteria and our experience in the research of NMDA receptors. Results NMDA receptor contains at least five subunits. They were designated as the NR1 (ζ1), NR2A (ε1), NR2B (ε2), NR2C (ε3), and NR2D (ε4). A unique feature of NMDA receptor is the requirement for both glutamate and the co agnist glycine for the efficient gating. NMDA receptor is modulated by a number of endogenous and exogenous compounds. Mg 2+ not only blocks the NMDA channel in a voltage dependent manner but also potentiates NMDA induced responses at positive membrane potentials. Na +, K + and Ca 2+ not only pass through the NMDA receptor channel but also modulate the activity of NMDA receptors. Zn 2+ blocks the NMDA current in a noncompetitive and a voltage independent manner. It has been demonstrated that polyamines do not directly activate NMDA receptors, but instead act to potentiate or inhibit glutamate mediated responses. The activity of NMDA receptors is also strikingly sensitive to the changes in H + concentration, and partially inhibited by the ambient concentration of H + under physiological conditions. Conclusions NMDA receptors are glutamate regulated by ion channels that are permeable to Ca 2+ , Na +, K + and are sensitive to voltage dependent Mg 2+ block This channel complex contributes to excitatory synaptic transmission at sites throughout the brain and the spinal cord, and is modulated by a number of endogenous and exogenous compounds NMDA receptors play a key role in wide range of physiologic and pathologic processes Five NMDA receptor subunits have now been characterized in both rat and mouse刘云 张均田 2000Chinese Medical Journal2000,,10:4
Versatile synthesis of yolk/shell hybrid nanocrystals via ion-exchange reactions for novel metal/semiconductor and semiconductor/semiconductor conformations显示文摘Yolk/shell (Y-S) hybrid nanoarchitectures, owing to the interior voids createdfor individualized catalyst applications, have emerged as new candidates foreffectively isolating catalytic species. However, the well-defined hollow interiorswith flexible core and shell compositions--such as noble-metal cores, metal-oxidecores, and widespread semiconductor shells--and a flexible anisotropic shapeare far from the requirements. In particular, the introduction of catalytic noblemetals or metal-oxide nanocrystals (NCs) with isotropic or anisotropic shapesinto various hollow semiconductor structures with well-defined morphologieshas been rarely reported but is urgently needed. Herein, we propose a strategyinvolving the careful sulfuration of as-prepared cavity-free core/shell NCs ormetal-oxide NCs followed by phosphine-initialized cation-exchange reactionsfor preparing metal@semiconductor and metal oxide@semiconductor (II-VI) Y-SNCs. The geometry, size, and conformations of the core and shell are fully andindependently considered. New and unprecendented metal@semiconductorand metal oxide@semiconductor (II-VI) Y-S NCs are prepared via widespreadDhosDhine-initialized cation-exchange reactions.Muwei Ji Xinyuan Li Hongzhi Wang Liu Huang Meng Xu Jia Liu Jiajia Liu Jin Wang Jiatao Zhang 2017Nano Research2017,10,9:4
Effect of site amplification on inelastic seismic response显示文摘The available models for eff ective periods of site and structure are reviewed in context of frequency tuning in the inelastic seismic response of soil-structure system. The eff ect of seismic intensity and ductility demand, on the eff ective periods, is investigated, and inelastic site amplifi cation is shown to be strongly correlated to the normalized eff ective period. Two non-dimensional parameters, analogous to the conventional site amplifi cation factors in codes, are defi ned to quantify the inelastic site amplifi cation. It is shown that the inelastic site amplifi cation factor (i.e. ratio of constant ductility spectral ordinates at soil site to those at rock outcrop) is able to represent the site eff ects more clearly, as compared to the inelastic site amplifi cation ratio (i.e. ratio of inelastic spectral ordinates at soil site to the corresponding elastic spectral ordinates at rock outcrop). Further, the peak in the amplifi cation factor corresponding to the eff ective site period diminishes rapidly with increasing ductility demand.Adhikary S Singh Y 2019Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,3:4
Intestinal OCTN2-and MCT1-targeted drug delivery to improve oral bioavailability显示文摘Various drug transporters are widely expressed throughout the intestine and play important roles in absorbing nutrients and drugs, thus providing high quality targets for the design of prodrugs or nanoparticles to facilitate oral drug delivery. In particular, intestinal carnitine/organic cation transporter 2(OCTN2)and mono-carboxylate transporter protein 1(MCT1)possess high transport capacities and complementary distributions. Therefore,we outline recent developments in transporter-targeted oral drug delivery with regard to the OCTN2 and MCT1 proteins in this review.First, basic information of the two transporters is reviewed, including their topological structures, characteristics and functions, expression and key features of their substrates.Furthermore, progress in transporter-targeting prodrugs and nanoparticles to increase oral drug delivery is discussed, including improvements in the oral absorption of anti-inflammatory drugs, antiepileptic drugs and anticancer drugs. Finally, the potential of a dual transporter-targeting strategy is discussed.Gang Wang Lichun Zhao Qikun jiang Yixin Sun Dongyang Zhao Mengchi Sun Zhonggui He Jin sun Yang Wang 2020Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2020,15,2:3
Cation Selectivity of Channels Formed at Planar Lipid Bilayer by Pinellia ternata Lectin显示文摘By means of the two-compartment system. PTL-channels, the first lectin channels formed on planar lipid bilayers by Pinellia ternata lectin (PTL) have been studied. The results show (i) PTL-channels are voltage-independent and have apparent subunits; (ii) in 50 mmol/L KC1 and 25 mmol/L BaCl2 solutions, a single channel has unit conductance of 21 pS and 42 pS, respectively; (iii) the channel exhibits a slightly higher permeability to divalent than monovalent cation (PBa/PK=4.1), and (iv) the selectivity among divalent or monovalent cations is poor. The cation selectivity sequence for the channel will follow PBa(7. 0)-Psr (6. 4)~PMg(6. 4)>PK(1. 7)>PN.(1. 0)~PLi(l. 0).Moreover, these data also give explanation to the facilitatory action of PTL on the release of acetyl-choline from motor nerve terminals.张辉 施玉醻 1994Science China Chemistry1994,37,5:3
OPERATIONAL TROPICAL CYCLONE FORECAST VERIFICATION PRACTICE IN THE WESTERN NORTH PACIFIC REGION显示文摘This paper summarizes results of a survey of the operational status of tropical cyclone(TC) forecast verifi-cation in the western North Pacific region, covering the Members of the ESCAP/WMO Typhoon Committee, RSMC Tokyo-Typhoon Center, and JTWC. Results of the survey indicate that significant efforts have been focused on the verification of TC forecast guidance by operational forecast agencies in the region, either individually or through international cooperation. A variety of TC forecast verification products are available to the forecasters in either real time or in post-season through multiple means, with the main focus on the deterministic track and intensity forecasts. Only a few verification products are available for probabilistic forecasts. Verification of TC precipitation and high wind forecasts are also lacking sufficient attention in the region. It would be helpful in the future to focus more attention toward these aspects and incorporate methods that will provide a greater depth of information regarding the TC forecast performance.HUI YU SAI TICK CHAN BARBARA BROWN MASASHI KUNITSUGU EDWARD FUKADA SANGWOOK PARK WOOJEONG LEE YINGLONG XU PEOU PHALLA BOUNTEUMSYSOUPHANTHAVONG SAU WA CHANG CHE GAYAH ISMAIL RENITO BPACIENTE PATRICIA EE CHAMNONG KAEOCHADA HOA VO VAN 2012Tropical Cyclone Research and Review2012,1,3:3
Highly efficient luminescent Ⅰ-Ⅲ-Ⅵ semiconductor nanoprobes based on template-synthesized CuInS2 nanocrystals显示文摘CuInS2 semiconductor nanocrystals (NCs) exhibit large absorption coefficient, size-dependent photoluminescence and low toxicity, making them excellent candidates in a variety of bioapplications. However, precise control of both their composition and morphology to improve the luminescent efficiency remains a great challenge via conventional direct synthesis. Herein, we present a novel low-temperature template synthesis of highly efficient luminescent CuInS2 nanoprobes from In2S3 NCs via a facile cation exchange strategy. The proposed strategy enables synthesis of a series of CuInS2 NCs with broad size tunability from 2.2 to 29.6 nm. Through rationally manipulating the stoichiometry of Cu/In, highly efficient luminescence of CuInS2 with the maximum quantum yield of 28.6% has been achieved, which is about one order of magnitude improvement relative to that of directly synthesized NCs. By virtue of the intense emission of CuInS2 nanoprobes, we exemplify their application in sensitive homogeneous biodetection for an important biomolecule of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) with the limit of detection down to 49.3 nM. Moreover, the CuInS2 nanoprobes are explored for ATP-targeted cancer cell imaging, thus revealing their great potentials in the field of cancer diagnosis and prognosis.Xian Li Datao Tu Shaohua Yu Xiaorong Song Wei Lian Jiaojiao Wei Xiaoying Shang Renfu Li Xueyuan Chen 2019Nano Research2019,12,8:3
Separation of Clay Minerals from Host Sediments Using Cation Exchange Resins显示文摘Classic physical and chemical treatments applied to separating clay minerals from the host sediments are often difficult or aggressive for clay minerals. A technique using cation exchange resins (amberlite IRC\|50H and amberlite IR\|120) is used to separate clay minerals from the host sediments. The technique is based on the exchange of cations in the minerals that may be associated clay minerals in sediments, such as Ca and Mg from dolomite; Ca from calcite, gypsum and francolite with cations carried by resin radicals. The associated minerals such as gypsum, calcite, dolomite and francolite are removed in descending order. Separation of clay minerals using cation exchange resins is less aggressive than that by other classic treatments. The efficiency of amberlite IRC\|50H in the removal of associated minerals is greater than that of amberlite IR\|120.I.S.Ismael H.M.Baioumy 2003Chinese Journal Of Geochemistry2003,22,4:2
THE STIMULATORY EFFECT OF HEAVY METAL CATIONS ON PROLIFERATION OF AORTIC SMOOTH MUSCLE CELLS显示文摘Heavy metal cations Cd2+, Pb2+, and Hg2+were added to substitute for Ca2+in culture media to study their effect on the relationship between CaM and the proliferation of cultured rabbit aortic smooth muscle cells (ASMC). It was found that all the heavy metal cations studied stimulated the proliferation of ASMC in varying degrees, increased the CaM content in cells at late G1 stage and decreased the activity of cAMP PDE. These results suggest that the adverse effect of heavy metals may be related to the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis and hypertensive disease.卢坤平 赵升酷 王道生 1990Science China Chemistry1990,33,3:2
Synthesis of a new salt containing polyoxometallate anion and M-Cu-S cluster cation [MS_4Cu_4(γ-MePy)_8][M_6O_19] (M = Mo,W).Crystal structure of [WS_4Cu_4(γ-MePy)_8][W_6O_19]显示文摘Reactions of (NH4)2MS4, AgBr and CuBr in r-methylpyridine produced one new compound, [MS4Cu4(r-MePy)8]M6O19] (1, M = W; 2, M = Mo), of which 1 was characterized by single crystal X-ray analysis. The crystal data: orthorhombic, Pbcn, a = 15.434(4),b= 16.732(2), c = 28.657(7) A, V = 7400.8(8) A3, Z = 4, R = 0.072 for 3121 independent data. The compound is the first example which contains both polyoxotnngstate anion and heteropolynuclear cluster cation. In the structure of the cation four edges of the tetrahedral WS42- core are coordinated by four copper atoms, giving a WS4Cu4 aggregate of approximate D2h symmetry. The differences between the reaction of Cu+ with MS42- and that of Ag+ with MS42- in pyridine and its derivatives are discussed.POPE, Michael T. 17Hydration Characteristics of Sodium Sulfate Slag Cement System显示文摘The hydration characteristics by thermal analysis ( DTA ) were determined, and an isothermal calorimeter (IC) was used to study the pastes . The experimental results indicate: (1) The main hydration products of SSC are C-S-H( I ) gel with a low Ca/Si ratio, crystalline Thomsonite-type and AFt-type phases containing certain alkali cations; (2) No phases of the AFm-type and high alkaline Ca( OH)2 in SSC system could benefit the hydrated cements to improve its strength and durability; (3) Crystalline Thomsonite-type and AFt-type phases containing Na+ will greatly reduce free alkali and alleviate the harmness of alkali aggregate reaction ( AAR) in SSC system; (4) Similar to ordinary Portland cement( OPC), the hydration process of SSC could be classified into five stages : initial, induction, acceleration, deceleration and decay; (5) Regardless of the activator used, the apparent activation energy is higher with the increased slag in cement system, and the rising temperature could promote the hydration of SSC.陈友治 2001Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2001,16,4:2
Spectroscopic study of conformation changes of bovine serum albumin in aqueous environment显示文摘The secondary structural changes of bovine serum albumin (BSA) aqueous solutions with and without calcium cations were investigated by attenuated total reflection-Fourier transform infrared (ATR-FTIR) technology. The spectra of BSA solution and BSA dry powder were mainly reflected the formation of hydrogen bonds between water and BSA. Further investigation indicated that the concentrations of calcium cations in BSA aqueous solution also affected the secondary structural change of the protein. Amide I band was red shifted and amide II band was blue shifted in aqueous environment compared with the dry BSA powder, and the addition of calcium cations further changed the amide bands position, which led to the change of the secondary structure. The result was coinciding with the Raman spectroscopy.Chune Guo Xiaomi Guo Wubo Chu Nan Jiang He Li 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,6:2
Assessment of seismic amplification factor of excavation with support system显示文摘Retaining walls have been used in many construction projects such as for road and inclined surfaces protection. The damage caused by an earthquake depends on the fundamental frequency, amplitude and the duration of the seismic motion. These parameters strongly depend on the seismic properties of the layers that are near the surface. In the study of retaining walls, in addition to the infl uence of soil, the infl uence of topography is also important. In the present study, site response analysis is performed by using fi nite element software PLAXIS to obtain the eff ect of various factors such as embedded length of the sheet pile, underground water table, length and angle of the nail, shear wave velocity of soil on site eff ect and dynamic response. Moreover, for better understanding of the eff ect of the above parameters, the stability analysis was performed by using shear reduction method. The results show that an increase in the embedded length of the sheet pile and the length of nailing causes an increase in the amplifi cation factor. Moreover, for shear-wave velocity in the range of 200- 600 m/s, the amplifi cation factor increases with increase of the shear-wave velocity due to the decrease of nonlinear behavior.Hamidreza Tavakoli Saman Soleimani Kutanaei Seyed Hossein Hosseini 2019Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2019,18,3:2
Amphiphilic sodium alginate-vinyl acetate microparticles for drug delivery显示文摘To overcome the fast or burst release of hydrophilic drugs from hydrophilic alginate-based carriers, hydrophobic molecule(vinyl acetate,VAc)was grafted on alginate(Alg),which was further used to prepare drug carriers.Amphiphilic Alg-g-PVAc hydrogel beads were firstly prepared by emulsification/internal gelation technique for the loading of bovine serum albumin(BSA).Then, chitosan was coated on the surface of beads to form novel amphiphilic Alg-g-PVAc/chitosan(Alg-g-PVAc/CS)microcapsules.The BSA-loading amphiphilic Alg-g-PVAc/chitosan(Alg-g-PVAc/CS)microcapsules display similar morphology and size to the hydrophilic alginate/chitosan(AC)microcapsules.However,the drug loading and loading efficiency of BSA in Alg-g-PVAc/CS microcapsules are higher, and the release rate of BSA from Alg-g-PVAc/CS microcapsules is slower. The results demonstrate that the introduction of hydrophobic PVAc on alginate can effectively help retard the release of BSA,and the higher degree of substitution is,the slower the release rate is.In addition, the complex membrane can also be adjusted to delay the release of BSA.As a whole, amphiphilic sodium alginate-vinyl acetate/CS microparticles could be developed for macromolecular drug delivery.YU Weiting ZHANG Demeng LIU Xiudong WANG Yunhong TONG Jun ZHANG Mengxue MA Xiaojun 2019Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,3:2
