| 3 | A shallow aftershock sequence in the north-eastern end of the Wenchuan earthquake aftershock zone显示文摘Previous studies show that mature faults are filled with fault gouge in the shallow part and thus cannot accumulate enough strain energy for earthquakes. Therefore most earthquakes are deeper than 5 km, except those events occurring on new faults or in intact rocks. From field observation, Wenchuan earthquake is found to rupture the free surface about 200 km, but the rupture may extend underground much further from teleseismic body waves inversion and aftershocks distribution. In the northeastern end of the rupture zone, deep rupture may induce stress increase near the free surface, and trigger shallow earthquakes. An Ms 5.7 aftershock occurred at Qingchuan, northeast end of Wenchuan earthquake fault on July 24, 2008, featuring thrust mechanism with a 3 km source centroid depth. The shallow focal depth is confirmed with the sPL phase recorded at station L0205. As Rayleigh wave is well only developed for source depth less than 1/5 of epicentral distance, the observed large amplitude of Rg at a distance of 15 km implied depth of 3 km or less. Dozens of aftershocks' sPL waveforms are also analyzed to confirm the source depths less than 3 km. On the other hand, no surface ruptures are found by geological survey or InSAR studies. | 5 | 金川铜镍矿床隐伏富铜矿体成因研究及其深部找矿意义显示文摘金川矿床赋存于富橄榄石超镁铁质岩中,是目前世界第三大在采铜镍硫化物矿床。经过多年开采,如何在深、边部找到新的替代资源问题显得越来越重要。通过对金川矿床富铜隐伏矿体的矿体特征、矿石特征和矿石特殊地球化学特性等方面进行分析研究,特别是从空间立体对其矿化规律进行总结,并与其附近Ⅱ1#主矿体进行对比,指出该类型矿体既有岩浆熔离作用的特点,又有后期改造作用的特征,其形成经历了三个阶段:富含Cu、PGE岩浆深部熔离-脉动贯入、构造活化富集和后期热液叠加。同时探讨了来源于地幔深部的高镁玄武质岩浆,在深部岩浆房和阶段岩浆房熔离分异过程中,富镍岩浆和矿浆之间存在富铜岩浆。此外,Pb同位素表明,该隐伏富铜矿体形成时间为8亿年左右,早于块状特富矿;Pb、S同位素表明,该矿体主要来源于地幔,但曾被少量地壳物质混入。最后指出铜镍硫化矿床的成因是复杂多样的,在金川矿床深边部寻找新型矿体,尤其是富铜矿体的前景很大,而F_6断层可能是富铜隐伏矿体岩浆通道和Ⅱ1#主矿体岩浆的深部侵位通道之一。 | 高亚林 汤中立 宋谢炎 田毓龙 孟远志 | 2009 | 岩石学报2009,25,12: | 23 |

| 7 | 为早食道、胃的癌症的诊断的内视镜的超声使用超声探针显示文摘 Endoscopic ultrasound(EUS) devices were first designed and manufactured more than 30 years ago,and since then investigators have reported EUS is effective for determining both the staging and the depth of invasion of esophageal and gastric cancers.We review the present status,the methods,and the findings of EUS when used to diagnose and stage early esophageal and gastric cancer.EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes is more accurate than conventional EUS for the evaluation of the depth of invasion of superficial esophageal carcinoma.The rates of accurate evaluation of the depth of invasion by EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes were 70%-88% for intramucosal cancer,and 83%-94% for submucosal invasive cancer.But the sensitivity of EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes for the diagnosis of submucosal invasive cancer was relatively low,making it difficult to confirm minute submucosal invasion.The accuracy of EUS using highfrequency ultrasound probes for early gastric tumor classification can be up to 80% compared with 63% for conventional EUS,although the accuracy of EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes relatively decreases for those patients with depressed-type lesions,undifferentiated cancer,concomitant ulceration,expanded indications,type 0-Ⅰ lesions,and lesions located in the upper-third of the stomach.A 92% overall accuracy rate was achieved when both the endoscopic appearance and the findings from EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes were considered together for tumor classification.Although EUS using high-frequency ultrasound probes has limitations,it has a high depth of invasion accuracy and is a useful procedure to distinguish lesions in the esophagus and stomach that are indicated for endoscopic resection. | Shigetaka Yoshinaga Ichiro Oda Satoru Nonaka Ryoji Kushima Yutaka Saito | 2012 | World Journal of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy2012,4,6: | 21 |

| 9 | Cavity length below chute aerators显示文摘It is proved that air entrainment is one of the efficient measures dealing with cavi-tation control for the release works of hydropower projects. There are many factors to be considered in designing a chute aerator. One of the most important factors concerns the cavity length below the aerator,which has outstanding effects on air entrainment against cavitation damage. It is crucial to determine reasonable emergence angle for the calculation of the cavity length. In the present paper the overall effects of structural and hydraulic parameters on the emergence angle of the flow from the aerator were analyzed. Four improved expressions of the emer-gence angle with weight coefficient were investigated through experimental data of 68 points observed from 12 aerators of 6 hydropower projects,of both model and prototype,on the basis of error theory. A method to calculate the cavity length be-low aerators was suggested,which considers overall effects of the above men-tioned parameters. | 10 | Investigation on optimization design of equivalent water depth truncated mooring system显示文摘The oil industry is now increasingly concentrating their efforts and activities in connection with de- veloping fields in deeper waters, ranging typically from 500 m to 3000 m worldwide. However, the modeling of a full-depth system has become difficult presently; no tank facility is sufficiently large to perform the testing of a complete FPS with compliant mooring in 1000 m to 3000 m depth, within rea- sonable limits of model scale. Until recently, the most feasible procedure to meet this challenge seems to be the so-called 'hybrid model testing technique'. To implement this technique, the first and im- portant step is to design the equivalent water depth truncated mooring system. In this work, the opti- mization design of the equivalent water depth truncated mooring system in hybrid model testing for deep sea platforms is investigated. During the research, the similarity of static characteristics between the truncated and full depth system is mainly considered. The optimization mathematical model for the equivalent water depth truncated system design is set up by using the similarity in numerical value of the static characteristics between the truncated system and the full depth one as the objective function. The dynamic characteristic difference between the truncated and full depth mooring system can be minished by selecting proper design rule. To calculate the static characteristics of the mooring system, the fourth order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the static equilibrium equation of the single mooring line. After the static characteristic of the single mooring line is calculated, the static charac- teristic of the whole mooring system is calculated with Lagrange numerical interpolation method. The mooring line material database is established and the standard material name and the diameter of the mooring line are selected as the primary key. The improved simulated annealing algorithm for continual & discrete variables and the improved complex algorithm for discrete variables are employed to per- form the optimization calculation. The C++ programming language is used to develop the computer program according to the object-oriented programming idea. To perform the optimization calculation with the two algorithms mentioned above respectively and the better result is selected as the final one. To examine the developed program, an example of equivalent water depth truncated mooring system optimum design calculation on a 100,000-t, turret mooring FPSO in water depth of 320 m are performed to obtain the conformation parameters of the truncated mooring system, in which the truncated water depth is 160 m. The model test under some typical environment conditions are performed for both the truncated and the full depth system with model scale factor λ=80. | 13 | Predicting excavation damage zone depths in brittle rocks显示文摘During the construction of an underground excavation, damage occurs in the surrounding rock mass due in large part to stress changes. While the predicted damage extent impacts profile selection and support design, the depth of damage is a critical aspect for the design of permeability sensitive excavations, such as a deep geological repository(DGR) for nuclear waste. Review of literature regarding the depth of excavation damage zones(EDZs) indicates three zones are common and typically related to stress induced damage. Based on past developments related to brittle damage prediction using continuum modelling, the depth of the EDZs has been examined numerically. One method to capture stress induced damage in conventional engineering software is the damage initiation and spalling limit(DISL) approach. The variability of depths predicted using the DISL approach has been evaluated and guidelines are suggested for determining the depth of the EDZs around circular excavations in brittle rock masses. Of the inputs evaluated, it was found that the tensile strength produces the greatest variation in the depth of the EDZs. The results were evaluated statistically to determine the best fit relation between the model inputs and the depth of the EDZs. The best correlation and least variation were found for the outer EDZ and the highly damaged zone(HDZ) showed the greatest variation. Predictive equations for different EDZs have been suggested and the maximum numerical EDZ depths, represented by the 68% prediction interval, agreed well with the empirical evidence. | 14 | Numerical Analysis of Moisture Influential Depth in Concrete and Its Application in Durability Design显示文摘Determining the moisture influential depth in concrete under drying-wetting cycles is of great interest for investigation of chloride ion transport and thus the initiation of reinforcement corrosion. In this paper, the moisture transport processes during drying and wetting are modeled by diffusion and absorption. A predictor-corrector implicit scheme of finite difference method is used to solve the partial differential equations. The stability of moisture influential depth is then analyzed with the available numerical tool for both initially saturate and unsaturated concretes. The concept of equilibrium time ratio is proposed for drying-wetting cycles by the balance between water loss and intake during drying and wetting. According to this time ratio, drying-wetting cycles are classified into drying-dominated, wetting-dominated, and equilibrium ones. For drying-dominated cycles, the drying front will penetrate gradually into material while the influential depth is determined by wetting; for wetting-dominated cycles, the wetting front will progress into material while the influential depth is determined by drying. This classification has strong engineering implication and can give a more rational division of convection and diffusion zones of chloride ion transport. | 15 | The formation depth of coesite-bearing eclogite,Dabie UHPM zone,China,modified by tectono-original additional hydrostatic pressure显示文摘The knowledge that hydrostatic pressure is equal to the gravity value of the overlying rocks in studying a dynamic state of certain underground site is argued. It is suggested that the stress field T in the crust is a combination or superposition of total hydrostatic pressure P with differential stress σ,and the total hydrostatic pressure P at any point in the crust comprises two parts: one is spherical stress tensor PG caused by the gravity, and the other is spherical stress tensor Ps caused by tectonic stress; therefore P could not be attributed to the gravity of overlying rocks only. | 17 | Buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth and its implication for unconventional resource prediction显示文摘The discovery of unconventional hydrocarbon resources since the late 20th century changed geologists’understanding of hydrocarbon migration and accumulations and provides a solution to energy shortage.In 2016,unconventional oil production in the USA accounted for 41%of the total oil production;and unconventional natural gas production in China accounted for 35%of total gas production,showing strong growth momentum of unconventional hydrocarbons explorations.Unconventional hydrocarbons generally coexist with conventional petroleum resources;they sometimes distribute in a separate system,not coexisting with a conventional system.Identification and prediction of unconventional resources and their potentials are prominent challenges for geologists.This study analyzed the results of 12,237 drilling wells in six representative petroliferous basins in China and studied the correlations and differences between conventional and unconventional hydrocarbons by comparing their geological features.Migration and accumulation of conventional hydrocarbon are caused dominantly by buoyance.Wepropose a concept of buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth to describe the deepest hydrocarbon accumulation depth driven dominantly by buoyance;beyond this depth the buoyance becomes unimportant for hydrocarbon accumulation.We found that the buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth in petroliferous basins controls the different oil/gas reservoirs distribution and resource potentials.Hydrocarbon migration and accumulations above this depth is dominated by buoyancy,forming conventional reservoirs in traps with high porosity and permeability,while hydrocarbon migration and accumulation below this depth is dominated by non-buoyancy forces(mainly refers to capillary force,hydrocarbon volumeexpansion force,etc.),forming unconventional reservoirs in tight layers.The buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depths in six basins in China range from 1200mto 4200 m,which become shallowerwith increasing geothermal gradient,decreasing particle size of sandstone reservoir layers,or an uplift in the whole petroliferous basin.The predicted unconventional resource potential belowthe buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth in six basins in China is more than 15.71×10^(9) t oil equivalent,among them 4.71×10^(9) t reserves have been proved.Worldwide,94%of 52,926 oil and gas reservoirs in 1186 basins are conventional reservoirs and only 6%of them are unconventional reservoirs.These 94%conventional reservoirs show promising exploration prospects in the deep area below buoyance-driven hydrocarbon accumulation depth. | Xiongqi Pang Chengzao Jia Wenyang Wang Zhangxin Chen Maowen Li Fujie Jiang Tao Hu Ke Wang Yingxun Wang | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021,12,4: | 9 |
| 18 | Influence of groundwater depth on species composition and community structure in the transition zone of Cele oasis显示文摘The paper analyzes the hypothesis that the distribution of dominant plant species and characteristics of plant communities are related to groundwater depth. The results showed that variations of groundwater depth impacted distributions and characteristics of dominant plant communities. However, besides groundwater depth, the community composition and species diversity were also influenced by physiognomy of the habitat. Based on the similarity coefficient, the differences between dominant plant communities were significant at different groundwater depths. Compared with other results relating to desert vegetation and groundwater depth, variations of community distribution were similar at the large spatial scale. However, in this extremely arid region, there were significant differences in community type and community succession when compared with other arid regions, especially in relationship to deep groundwater depth. With groundwater depth from deep to shallow, communities transformed with the sequence of Alhagi communities, Tamarix spp. communities, Populus communities, Phragmites communities, and Sophora communities. At groundwater depth of less than 6.0 m, the community type and composition changed, and the species diversity increased. Among these dominant species, Tamarix exhibited the biggest efficiency in resource utilization according to niche breadth, which means it possessed the best adaptability to environmental conditions at the oasis margins. | Frank M. | 20 | What types of early gastric cancer are indicated for endoscopic ultrasonography staging of invasion depth?显示文摘AIM To clarify the diagnostic efficacy and limitations of endoscopic ultrasonography(EUS) and the characteristics of early gastric cancers(EGCs) that are indications for EUS-based assessment of cancer invasion depth.METHODS We retrospectively investigated the cases of 153 EGC patients who underwent conventional endoscopy(CE) and EUS(20 MHz) before treatment.RESULTS We found that 13.7% were 'inconclusive' cases with low-quality EUS images, including all nine of the cases with protruded(0-I)-type EGCs. There was no significant difference in the diagnostic accuracybetween CE and EUS. Two significant independent risk factors for misdiagnosis by EUS were identified-ulcer scarring [UL(+); odds ratio(OR) = 4.49, P = 0.003] and non-indication criteria for endoscopic resection(ER)(OR = 3.02, P = 0.03).
