| 1 | K-bentonite beds and high-resolution integrated strati- graphy of the uppermost Ordovician Wufeng and the lowest Silurian Longmaxi formations in South China显示文摘More than 20 K-bentonite beds were discovered from the Wufeng Formation and the lowest Longmaxi Formation in two sections, both adjacent to the Ordovician-Silurian (O-S) bound-ary and located in Tongzi, Guizhou Province and Yichang, Hubei Province, some 500 km apart from each other in South China. This indicates that many volcanic eruptions occurred near the southeast margin of the Yangtze Platform between the latest Ordovician and the earliest Silurian. Mainly through biostratigraphic and sequence stratigraphic studies, it was found that almost all these far-apart K-bentonite beds may be correlated with each other. This is the first time that a succession of volcanic ash deposits with high potential of correlation was discovered within a strata interval on the main platforms of China. | 2 | Coordinated optimal dispatch and market equilibrium of integrated electric power and natural gas networks with P2G embedded显示文摘As power to gas(P2 G) technology gradually matures, the coupling between electricity networks and natural gas networks should ideally evolve synergistically.With the intent of characterizing market behaviors of integrated electric power and natural gas networks(IPGNs)with P2 G facilities, this paper establishes a steady-state model of P2 G and constructs optimal dispatch models of an electricity network and a natural gas network separately. In addition, a concept of slack energy flow(SEF) is proposed as a tool for coordinated optimal dispatch between the two networks. To study how the market pricing mechanism affects coordinated optimal dispatch in an IPGN, a market equilibrium-solving model for an IPGN is constructed according to game theory, with a solution based on the Nikaido-Isoda function. | 3 | Optimal operation of electricity, natural gas and heat systems considering integrated demand responses and diversified storage devices显示文摘In recent years, the increasing penetration level of renewable generation and combined heat and power(CHP) technology in power systems is leading to significant changes in energy production and consumption patterns. As a result, the integrated planning and optimal operation of a multi-carrier energy(MCE) system have aroused widespread concern for reasonable utilization of multiple energy resources and efficient accommodation of renewable energy sources. In this context, an integrated demand response(IDR) scheme is designed to coordinate the operation of power to gas(P2 G) devices, heat pumps,diversified storage devices and flexible loads within an extended modeling framework of energy hubs. Subsequently, the optimal dispatch of interconnected electricity,natural gas and heat systems is implemented considering the interactions among multiple energy carriers by utilizing the bi-level optimization method. | 5 | Resilient PNT Concept Frame显示文摘The concept of resilient positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) is described. The definition of resilient PNT is given, the relationship between integrated (or comprehensive) PNT and resilient PNT is analyzed, and it is pointed out that the integrated PNT is the foundation of resilient PNT. Resilient PNT should be divided into resilient sensor integration, resilient functional model and resilient stochastic model. The strategy and principles of resilient integration of sensors are discussed. The resilient integration of sensors should be designed following the optimal, available, compatible and interoperable principles. The concepts of resilient functional model and possible modification strategies of the different functional models are also described. Several possible optimal routes for resilient stochastic model improvements are also set forth. It is pointed out that the optimal improvements of stochastic models for multi PNT sources should follow the same variance scale. | 9 | Robust optimization for improving resilience of integrated energy systems with electricity and natural gas infrastructures显示文摘The integration of natural gas in electricity network requires a more reliable operating plan for increasing uncertainties in the whole system. In this paper, a threestage robust optimization model is proposed for resilient operation of energy system which integrates electricity and natural gas transmission networks with the objective of minimizing load curtailments caused by attacks. Nonconvex constrains are linearized in order to formulate the dual problem of optimal energy flow. Then, the proposed three-stage problem can be reformulated into a two-stage mixed integer linear program(MILP) and solved by Benders decomposition algorithm. Numerical studies on IEEE30-bus power system with 7-node natural gas network and IEEE 118-bus power system with 14-node natural gas network validate the feasibility of the proposed model for improving resilience of integrated energy system. | 11 | Advanced technology of high-resolution radar: target detection, tracking, imaging, and recognition显示文摘In recent years, the performances of radar resolution, coverage, and detection accuracy have been significantly improved through the use of ultra-wideband, synthetic aperture and digital signal processing technologies. High-resolution radars(HRRs) utilize wideband signals and synthetic apertures to enhance the range and angular resolutions of tracking, respectively. They also generate one-, two-, and even threedimensional high-resolution images containing the feature information of targets, from which the targets can be precisely classified and identified. Advanced signal processing algorithms in HRRs obtain important information such as range-Doppler imaging, phase-derived ranging, and micro-motion features. However, the advantages and applications of HRRs are restricted by factors such as the reduced signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)of multi-scatter point targets, decreased tracking accuracy of multi-scatter point targets, high demands of motion compensation, and low sensitivity of the target attitude. Focusing on these problems, this paper systematically introduces the novel technologies of HRRs and discusses the issues and solutions relevant to detection, tracking, imaging, and recognition. | 12 | Long-term system load forecasting based on data-driven linear clustering method显示文摘In this paper, a data-driven linear clustering(DLC) method is proposed to solve the long-term system load forecasting problem caused by load fluctuation in some developed cities. A large substation load dataset with annual interval is utilized and firstly preprocessed by the proposed linear clustering method to prepare for modelling.Then optimal autoregressive integrated moving average(ARIMA) models are constructed for the sum series of each obtained cluster to forecast their respective future load. Finally, the system load forecasting result is obtained by summing up all the ARIMA forecasts. | 15 | Spatial heterogeneity of the driving forces of cropland change in China显示文摘By using digital satellite remote sensing data acquired in 1987―1989 and 1999―2000 and GIS combined with the natural and socio-economic data, this paper drew an integrated zonation of the cropland change and its driving forces in China. The results indicated that the cropland change in the study period was constrained by geographical factors and driven by cli-mate change as well as socio-economic system. Moreover, the regional differences of the drivers for cropland change were significant. In the midwest of China, natural condition changes and geographical background were the main constraints and drivers, while in Eastern China, social and economic changes and economic policies were the main driving forces. The cropland loss was nationwide. The dominant factors to cause this decrease included buildup of developing area to attract foreign capital and technologies, changes of industry structure due to urban in-fluence, the change of employment notions thanks to living standard improvement, rapid ur-banization due to the expansion of cities and towns, the diminished farming net income partly because of the global warming effects, and the rapid economic growth stimulated by the con-venient transportation system. These factors interact and interdepend with each other to cause the cropland loss in China recently. The reasons for the increase of cropland were primarily the cultivation and deforestation by the farmers who want to increase income. | 20 | Treatment of irritable bowel syndrome in China:A review显示文摘Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)is a common,chronic,functional gastrointestinal disorder with a high incidence rate in the general population,and it is common among the Chinese population.The pathophysiology,etiology and pathogenesis of IBS are poorly understood,with no evidence of inflammatory,anatomic,metabolic,or neoplastic factors to explain the symptoms.Treatment approaches are mainly focused on symptommanagement to maintain everyday functioning and to improve quality of life for patients with IBS.However,prescribed medications often result in significant side effects,and many IBS sufferers(particularly Chinese)do not improve.Instead of taking a variety of conventional medications,many have turned to taking traditional Chinese medicine or integrated Chinese and Western medicine for remedy.A number of clinical trials have shown that Chinese herbal,acupuncture or integrative therapies presented improved treatment outcomes and reduced side effects in IBS patients.The purpose of this review article is to examine the treatment approaches of IBS that have been published in recent years,especially in China,to assess the possible differences in treating IBS between China and other countries.This would provide some useful information of unique treatment approach in clinical practice for physicians in the management of IBS in China,thus offering more treatment options for IBS patients with potentially better treatment outcomes while reducing the medical cost burden. | Chun-Yan Li Shu-Chuen Li | 2015 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,8: | 12 |
