1Biochar for Sustainable Soil Health:A Review of Prospects and Concerns显示文摘Biochar as a soil amendment is confronted with the challenge that it must benefit soil health as it can be by no means separated from soils once it is added. The available literature even though sparse and mostly based on short-term studies has been encouraging and the trend obtained so far has raised many hopes. Biochar has been reported to positively impact an array of soil processes ranging from benefiting soil biology, controlling soil-borne pathogens, enhancing nitrogen fixation, improving soil physical and chemical properties,decreasing nitrate(NO-3) leaching and nitrous oxide(N2O) emission to remediation of contaminated soils. However, very little biochar is still utilized as soil amendment mainly because these benefits are yet to be quantified, and also the mechanisms by which the soil health is improved are poorly understood. Due to the infancy of research regarding this subject, there are still more questions than answers. 2玫烟色棒束孢对多种刺吸式口器害虫防治潜力的室内评测显示文摘刺吸式口器昆虫常发生严重且抗药性强。本文室内测定了玫烟色棒束孢Isaria fumosorosea Ifu13a对梨冠网蝽、小绿叶蝉和温室白粉虱等多种刺吸式口器害虫的控制潜力。在1.0×10~8、1.0×10~7和1.0×10~6孢子/mL接种浓度下,在处理后初始2 d保持RH(95±5)%,随后8 d保持RH(78±5)%的条件下,小绿叶蝉和温室白粉虱成虫的累积死亡率均达到100%,其致死中时LT50分别为4.12、4.11、5.43和4.77、5.55、5.32 d,而梨冠网蝽的致死中时为7.32、8.22、9.79 d。在1.0×10~8和1.0×10~7孢子/mL浓度下,小绿叶蝉和温室白粉虱累计死亡率均在5 d内即达到100%,2种害虫的致死中浓度LC_(50)分别为3.90×10~3和3.03×10~4孢子/mL;而梨冠网蝽第10 d在2种浓度下的累计死亡率分别达到了81.25%、77.5%,其LC_(50)为6.88×10~5孢子/mL。菌株Ifu13a显示出一定的寄主专化性,菌株Ifu13a显现了对多种刺吸式口器害虫的高控制潜力。王滨 曹娜 GHULAM Ali Bugti 2018中国生物防治学报2018,34,1:8
3球孢白僵菌不同施用方式对玉米促生作用的研究显示文摘采用土壤施用和叶面喷施2种方式将球孢白僵菌(Beauveria bassiana)菌株Bb202接种至玉米,研究不同接种方式及处理浓度对玉米生长的影响。结果表明,2种喷施方式对玉米苗均存在促生作用,且这种促生作用与孢子接种浓度密切相关。在叶面喷施处理中,白僵菌仅对玉米地上部分生长指标有促进作用,而对玉米苗的根长无显著影响;其中1.0×10~4孢子/m L处理组对玉米苗的促生效果最佳,其株高、叶长、叶宽、鲜重指标比蒸馏水对照组分别高出7.47%、15.42%、25.70%和16.85%。在土壤喷施处理中,白僵菌对玉米苗地上与地下部分均有显著促生作用;其中1.0×106孢子/m L和1.0×10~8孢子/m L处理组,玉米株高、叶长、根长、生物量指标较蒸馏水对照组分别提高了28.66%和29.59%、30.66%和37.85%、43.08%和33.60%、28.35%和32.55%。从对玉米苗的促生作用来看,用1.0×106孢子/m L的白僵菌悬浮液处理土壤,可以取得最经济、最显著的促生效果。崔雨虹 白云 曹娜 刘亦豪 Ghulam Ali Bugti 王滨 2017热带作物学报2017,38,2:6
4球孢白僵菌对东亚飞蝗和梨冠网蝽侵染的温湿度效应显示文摘环境的温湿度变化对昆虫病原真菌侵染害虫造成直接的影响。本文研究了在不同温湿度变化下,球孢白僵菌Bb2352对梨网蝽和东亚飞蝗侵染率的变化动态与趋势。结果表明,在1.0×107孢子/m L悬浮液接种、25℃饲养条件下,2种不同昆虫的死亡率均随着湿度的增加而增加。经检验湿度效应对死亡率的数量影响吻合时间-剂量-死亡率模型(TDM模型),拟合得到的新的时间-湿度-死亡率(THM)模型能准确地描述球孢白僵菌Bb2352侵染的湿度效应。THM模型显示,当相对湿度达到85%以上时,梨冠网蝽的死亡率增速明显快于蝗虫;梨冠网蝽死亡率随湿度变化的时间效应参数γ在第8 d(γ8)达到最大,而东亚飞蝗死亡率随湿度变化的时间效应参数γ在第11 d(γ11)达到最大,显示出球孢白僵菌Bb2352侵染不同昆虫的湿度效应有所差异。在温度效应研究中,当环境相对湿度>95%时,菌株Bb2352侵染2种目标昆虫的累计死亡率均在25℃达到最大,增加或降低温度均会降低菌株Bb2352的侵染效率。Logistic模型拟合显示该模型能准确反映球孢白僵菌Bb2352侵染目标害虫的温度效应。本文中湿度THM模型和温度Logistic模型的构建是数学描述昆虫病原真菌对害虫侵染温湿度效应的有益尝试。白云 崔雨虹 曹娜 刘义豪 GHULAM Ali Bugti 王滨 2016中国生物防治学报2016,32,6:5
5Genome-wide identification of Gossypium INDETERMINATE DOMAIN genes and their expression profiles in ovule development and abiotic stress responses显示文摘Background:INDETERMINATE DOMAIN(IDD)transcription factors form one of the largest and most conserved gene families in plant kingdom and play important roles in various processes of plant growth and development,such as flower induction in term of flowering control.Till date,systematic and functional analysis of IDD genes remained infancy in cotton.Results:In this study,we identified total of 162 IDD genes from eight different plant species including 65 IDD genes in Gossypium hirsutum.Phylogenetic analysis divided IDDs genes into seven well distinct groups.The gene structures and conserved motifs of GhIDD genes depicted highly conserved exon-intron and protein motif distribution patterns.Gene duplication analysis revealed that among 142 orthologous gene pairs,54 pairs have been derived by segmental duplication events and four pairs by tandem duplication events.Further,Ka/Ks values of most of orthologous/paralogous gene pairs were less than one suggested the purifying selection pressure during evolution.Spatiotemporal expression pattern by qRT-PCR revealed that most of the investigated GhIDD genes showed higher transcript levels in ovule of seven days post anthesis,and upregulated response under the treatments of multiple abiotic stresses.Conclusions:Evolutionary analysis revealed that IDD gene family was highly conserved in plant during the rapid phase of evolution.Whole genome duplication,segmental as well as tandem duplication significantly contributed to the expansion of IDD gene family in upland cotton.Some distinct genes evolved into special subfamily and indicated potential role in the allotetraploidy Gossypium hisutum evolution and development High transcript levels of GhIDD genes in ovules illustrated their potential roles in seed and fiber development Further,upregulated responses of GhIDD genes under the treatments of various abiotic stresses suggested them as important genetic regulators to improve stress resistance in cotton breeding.ALI Faiza QANMBER Ghulam LI Yonghui MA Shuya LU Lili YANG Zuoren WANG Zhi LI Fuguang 2019Journal of Cotton Research2019,2,1:5

7Metabolic investigations in patients with hepatitis B and C显示文摘AIM:To investigate the similarities and dissimilarities in patients with hepatitis B and hepatitis C,clinically and metabolically. METHODS:Fifty patients with hepatitis B virus and hepatitis C virus infection were included in this study, along with fifty healthy controls for comparison purposes.Intravenous blood(10 mL)samples from patients and healthy subjects were collected and made to clot before serum was separated and immediately levels of the enzymes,alkaline phosphatase(ALK),creatinine phosphokinase(CPK),lactate dehydrogenase (LDH),serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase(sGOT)and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase(sGPT)were determined by a kit method.For total con-tent of each metal the serum samples were analyzed using atomic absorption spectrophotometry.Levels of cholesterol,triglycerides,urea,creatinine and uric acid were determined using a kit method on Microlab 300. RESULTS:Serum magnesium and copper levels remained unchanged,whereas the concentration of zinc decreased and iron increased significantly in both groups of patients.Total antioxidant activity was significantly decreased in both hepatitis B and C.Among the enzymes analyzed,ALK,s-GPT,LDH and s-GOT were all significantly increased in both patients with hepatitis B and C whereas CPK was significantly decreased in patients with hepatitis B and remained unchanged in patients with hepatitis C. 8Morphometry of leaf and shoot variables to assess aboveground biomass structure and carbon sequestration by different varieties of white mulberry(Morus alba L.)显示文摘Mulberry is economically important and can also play a pivotal role in mitigating greenhouse gases.Leaf and shoot traits were measured for Morus alba var.Kanmasi,M.alba var.Karyansuban,M.alba var.Latifolia,and M.alba var.PFI-1 to assess aboveground biomass(AGB)and carbon sequestration.Variety-specific and multivariety allometric AGB models were developed using the equivalent diameter at breast height(EDBH)and plant height(H).The completeharvest method was used to measure leaf and shoot traits and biomass,and the ash method was used to measure organic carbon content.The results showed significant(p<0.01)varietal differences in leaf and shoot traits,AGB and carbon sequestration.PFI-1 variety had the greatest leaf density(mean±SE:1828.3±0.3 leaves tree^(-1)),Karyansuban had the largest mean leaf area(185.94±8.95 cm^(2)).A diminishing return was found between leaf area and leaf density.Latifolia had the highest shoot density per tree(46.6±1.83 shoots tree^(-1)),total shoot length(264.1±2.32 m),dry biomass(16.69±0.58 kg tree^(-1)),carbon sequestration(9.99±0.32 kg tree^(-1))and CO_(2) mitigation(36.67±1.16 kg).The variety-specific AGB models b(EDBH)and b(EDBH)2 showed good fit and reasonable accuracy with a coefficient of determination(R^(2))=0.98-0.99,standard error of estimates(SEE)=0.1125-0.3130 and root mean square error(RMSE)=0.1084-0.3017.The multivariety models bln(EDBH)and(EDBH)0.756 showed good-fitness and accuracy with R^(2)=0.85-0.86,SEE=1.6231-1.6445 and RMSE=1.609-1.630.On the basis of these findings,variety Latifolia has good potential for biomass production,and allometric equations based on EDBH can be used to estimate AGB with a reasonable accuracy.Ghulam Ali Bajwa Muhammad Umair Yasir Nawab Zahid Rizwan 2021Journal of Forestry Research2021,32,6:2

10Darcy-Forchheimer relation in Casson type MHD nanofluid flow over non-linear stretching surface显示文摘Present article aims to discuss the characteristics of Casson type nanofluid maintained to flow through porous medium over non-linear stretching surface in the perspective of heat and mass transfer developments.A Casson type incompressible viscous nanofluid passes through the given porous medium via Darcy-Forchheimer relation.Slip boundary conditions are used for velocity,temperature and concentration of the nanoparticles.Brownian diffusion and thermophoresis is attended.An induced magnetic field effect is involved to accentuate the thermo-physical characteristics of the nanofluid.The model incorporates boundary layer formulations and small magnetic Reynolds for practical validity.A fourth order Runge-Kutta(RK)scheme is enforced to solve the system numerically.Graphs are prepared for various progressive values of non-dimensionalized parameters whereas;variation in wall drag factor,heat and mass transfer rates is analyzed through numerical data.Results indicate that momentum boundary layer reduces for stronger inertial impact and the resistance offered by the porous media to the fluid flow.Temperature is found as a progressive function for the Brownianmotion factor and thermophoresis.The magnitude of wall drag factor,heat transfer and masstransfer rates shows reduction for progressive values of slip parameters.Ghulam Rasool Ali J.Chamkha Taseer Muhammad Anum Shafiq Ilyas Khan 2020Propulsion and Power Research2020,9,2:2

20Real-Time Multiple Guava Leaf Disease Detection from a Single Leaf Using Hybrid Deep Learning Technique显示文摘The guava plant has achieved viable significance in subtropics and tropics owing to its flexibility to climatic environments,soil conditions and higher human consumption.It is cultivated in vast areas of Asian and Non-Asian countries,including Pakistan.The guava plant is vulnerable to diseases,specifically the leaves and fruit,which result in massive crop and profitability losses.The existing plant leaf disease detection techniques can detect only one disease from a leaf.However,a single leaf may contain symptoms of multiple diseases.This study has proposed a hybrid deep learning-based framework for the real-time detection of multiple diseases from a single guava leaf in several steps.Firstly,Guava Infected Patches Modified MobileNetV2 and U-Net(GIP-MU-NET)has been proposed to segment the infected guava patches.The proposed model consists of modified MobileNetv2 as an encoder,and the U-Net model’s up-sampling layers are used as a decoder part.Secondly,the Guava Leaf SegmentationModel(GLSM)is proposed to segment the healthy and infected leaves.In the final step,the Guava Multiple Leaf Diseases Detection(GMLDD)model based on the YOLOv5 model detects various diseases from a guava leaf.Two self-collected datasets(the Guava Patches Dataset and the Guava Leaf Diseases Dataset)are used for training and validation.The proposed method detected the various defects,including five distinct classes,i.e.,anthracnose,insect attack,nutrition deficiency,wilt,and healthy.On average,the GIP-MU-Net model achieved 92.41%accuracy,the GLSM gained 83.40%accuracy,whereas the proposed GMLDD technique achieved 73.3%precision,73.1%recall,71.0%mAP@0.5 and 50.3 mAP@0.5:0.95 scores for all the aforesaid classes.Javed Rashid Imran Khan Ghulam Ali Shafiq ur Rehman Fahad Alturise Tamim Alkhalifah 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,1:1
