| 2 | Phosphorus speciation in the sediment profile of Lake Erhai, southwestern China: Fractionation and ^(31)P NMR显示文摘The distribution characteristics of phosphorus(P) forms in the sediment profile of Lake Erhai,in southwestern China has been investigated by sequential extraction and 31P nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy(NMR) of NaOH extracts to understand P dynamics and its potential contribution to lake eutrophication.Contents of P fractions varied in the order of NH4Cl extracted P(NH4ClP) < bicarbonate-dithionite extracted P(BD-P) < HCl-P,Residual-P < NaOH extracted P(NaOH-P).The highly available NH4Cl-P represented less than 1% of total P(TP).BD-P and NaOH extracted reactive P(NaOH-rP) averaged 39%,while the ratio of Fe/P was higher than 15,indicating low P release from the sediments under permanent oxic condition.The less bio-available HCl-P,NaOH extracted nonreactive P(NaOH-nrP) and residual-P contributed 61% of TP.Regression analysis revealed that BD-P,NaOH-rP and HCl-P were positively correlated with the contents of Fe and Mn,Al and Fe,and Ca,respectively.The investigation of P compound groups in NaOH extracts by 31 P NMR showed that ortho-P and monoester-P were the largest two constituents of the P pool,followed by diester-P,phosphonate and pyro-P.A comparison of vertical variations of P groups in the sediment profile suggested that these compounds were involved in the P recycling to different extents in Lake Erhai.In particular,the lake exhibits high potential for labile P release from the surface sediments,which should be taken into consideration even after the outsourced P runoff ceased. | Runyu Zhang Liying Wang Fengchang Wu Baoan Song | 2013 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,6: | 7 |
| 3 | Remaining useful life estimation for deteriorating systems with time-varying operational conditions and condition-specific failure zones显示文摘Dynamic time-varying operational conditions pose great challenge to the estimation of system remaining useful life(RUL) for the deteriorating systems.This paper presents a method based on probabilistic and stochastic approaches to estimate system RUL for periodically monitored degradation processes with dynamic time-varying operational conditions and conditionspecific failure zones.The method assumes that the degradation rate is influenced by specific operational condition and moreover,the transition between different operational conditions plays the most important role in affecting the degradation process.These operational conditions are assumed to evolve as a discrete-time Markov chain(DTMC).The failure thresholds are also determined by specific operational conditions and described as different failure zones.The 2008 PHM Conference Challenge Data is utilized to illustrate our method,which contains mass sensory signals related to the degradation process of a commercial turbofan engine.The RUL estimation method using the sensor measurements of a single sensor was first developed,and then multiple vital sensors were selected through a particular optimization procedure in order to increase the prediction accuracy.The effectiveness and advantages of the proposed method are presented in a comparison with existing methods for the same dataset. | Li Qi Gao Zhanbao Tang Diyin Li Baoan | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2016,29,3: | 6 |

| 5 | The cellular labeling and pH-sensitive responsive-drug release of celastrol in cancer cells based on Cys-CdTe QDs显示文摘As one of the active compounds derived from Traditional Chinese Medicine,Celastrol(CSL)had cytotoxicity for human leukemia cancer cells K562 and its multidrug-resistant cell line K562/A02.Here,we introduced cysteamine-modified CdTe QDs as the labeling and drug carrier into CSL research and found that the self-assembly and conjugation of anticancer molecular CSL with the Cys-CdTe QDs could significantly increase the drug’s cytotoxicity for K562 cells.More important,these CSL-Cys-CdTe nanocomposites could overcome the multidrug resistance of K562/A02 cells and efficiently inhibit the cancer cell proliferation by realizing the pH-sensitive responsive release of CSL to cancer cells.The enhanced cytotoxicity was caused by the increase of the G2/M phase arrest for K562/A02 cells as well as for K562 cells.Cys-CdTe QDs can readily bind on the cell plasma membranes and be internalized into cancer cells to trace and detect human leukemia cancer cells in real time.In addition,these Cys-CdTe QDs can facilitate the inhibition of the multidrug resistance of K562/A02 cells and readily induce apoptosis.As a good photosensitizer for the therapy,labeling,and tracing of cancer cells,the combination of CSL with Cys-CdTe QDs can optimize the use of and a new potential therapy method for CSL and yield new tools to explore the mechanisms of active compounds from Traditional Chinese Medicine. | LI JingYuan SHI LiXin SHAO YiXiang SELKE Matthias CHEN BaoAn JIANG Hui WANG XueMei | 2014 | Science China Chemistry2014,57,6: | 6 |

| 8 | Effects of antioxidants on homocysteine thiolactone-induced apoptosis in human umbilical vein endothelial cells显示文摘Background and objectives Hyperhomocysteinemia is an independent risk factor for cardiovascular disease. Homocysteine thiolactone (HcyT), one of the homocysteine metabolites in vivo, is toxic both in vivo and in vitro. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of HcyT on apoptotic damage in human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) and the role of antioxidants in the reduction of HcyT-induced apoptosis. Methods HUVECs were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 20% heat inactivated fetal bovine serum cell cultures were maintained in a humidified 5% CO2 atmosphere at 37 ℃. Cytotoxicity was determined by MTT assay,which consists of hypodiploid cells with propidium iodide labeling and intracellular reactive oxygen species levels using 2',7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate as the probe by flow cytometry. Results HcyT (250-2000μM) induced HUVECs apoptosis in a time- and concentration-dependent manner. Reactive oxygen species levels rose in response to increasing HcyT concentrations at 24-h incubation.The reduction of cell apoptosis by N-acetylcysteine, vitamin E, or pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate, occurred simultaneously with a significant decrease in intracellular reactive oxygen species levels. Conclusion HcyT exerts its cytotoxic effects on endothelial cells through an apoptotic mechanism involving cellular reactive oxygen species production. The capacity of N-acetylcysteine, vitamin E, and pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate to scavenge HcyT-induced cellular reactive oxygen species correlates well with their efficiency to protect against HcyT-promoted apoptotic damage. | 11 | Nitrogen removal performance of municipal reverse osmosis concentrate with low C/N ratio by membrane-aerated biofilm reactor显示文摘A membrane-aerated biofilm reactor was employed to investigate the nitrogen removal of one typical municioal reverse osmosis(RO)concentrate with a high total nitrogen (TN)concentration and a low C/N ratio.The effects of operational conditions,including the aeration pressure,the hydraulic retention time and the C/N ratio,on the systematic performance were evaluated.The nitrogen removal mechanism was evaluated by monitoring the effluent concentrations of nitrogen contents.Furthermore,the microbial tolerance with elevated salinity was identified.The results indicated that the optimal TN removal efficiency of 79.2%was achieved of the aeration pressure of 0.02MPa, hydraulic retention time of 24h,and the C/N ratio of 5.8,respectively.It is essential to supplement the carbon source for the targeted RO concentrate to promote the denitrification process.The inhibitory effect of salinity on denitrifying bacteria and nitrite oxidizing bacteria was significant,revealing the limited TN removal capacity of the conditions in this work.The TN removal efficiency remained more than 70%with the addition of salt (NaCl)amount below 20g/L.This work preliminarily demonstrated the MABR feasibility for the nitrogen removal of municipal RO concentrate with low C/N ratio and provided technical guidance for further scale-up application. | Xiao Quan Kai Huang Mei Li Meichao Lan Baoan Li | 2018 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2018,12,6: | 2 |

| 17 | Feasibility Study of Aluminum Hydroxide Sol as Adjuvant to Prepare Stable Vaccine Using Newcastle Disease Virus as a Model显示文摘Aluminum hydroxide sol (consisting of aluminum hydroxide nano-particles) prepared by a hydrothermal method was used as nano-aluminum adjuvant adsorbed the inactived Newcastle disease virus (NDV). The zeta potential of aluminum hydroxide colloidal particles,the inactivated NDV and the nano-aluminum adjuvant NDV are +48.16 mV,?13.8 mV and +39.97 mV,respec-tively. The nano-aluminum adjuvant vaccine was transparent and stable without precipitate,whereas the conventional aluminum ad-juvant vaccine was turbid and a white precipitate was visible soon. The hemagglutination inhibition (HI) titers of the nano-aluminum adjuvant group were generally higher than those of the conventional aluminum group except the titer on day 29.
