1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 3Multi-block SSD based on small object detection for UAV railway scene surveillance显示文摘A method of multi-block Single Shot Multi Box Detector(SSD)based on small object detection is proposed to the railway scene of unmanned aerial vehicle surveillance.To address the limitation of small object detection,a multi-block SSD mechanism,which consists of three steps,is designed.First,the original input images are segmented into several overlapped patches.Second,each patch is separately fed into an SSD to detect the objects.Third,the patches are merged together through two stages.In the first stage,the truncated object of the sub-layer detection result is spliced.In the second stage,a sub-layer suppression and filtering algorithm applying the concept of non-maximum suppression is utilized to remove the overlapped boxes of sub-layers.The boxes that are not detected in the main-layer are retained.In addition,no sufficient labeled training samples of railway circumstance are available,thereby hindering the deployment of SSD.A two-stage training strategy leveraging to transfer learning is adopted to solve this issue.The deep learning model is preliminarily trained using labeled data of numerous auxiliaries,and then it is refined using only a few samples of railway scene.A railway spot in China,which is easily damaged by landslides,is investigated as a case study.Experimental results show that the proposed multi-block SSD method produces an overall accuracy of 96.6%and obtains an improvement of up to 9.2%compared with the traditional SSD.Yundong LI Han DONG Hongguang LI Xueyan ZHANG Baochang ZHANG Zhifeng XIAO 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,6:19

6Effects of sediment physical properties on the phosphorus release in aquatic environment显示文摘Particle size, porosity, and the initial phosphorus concentration in sediments are the main factors affecting phosphorus release flux through the sediment-water interface. Sediments can be physically divided to muddy and sandy matters, and the adsorption-desorption capacity of sediment with phosphorus depends on particle size. According to phosphorus adsorption-desorption experiments, phosphorus sorption capacity of the sediment decreases with the increase of particle dimension. But among the size-similar particles, sediment with a bigger particle size has the larger initial phosphorus release rate. In terms of muddy and sandy sediments, there are inversely proportional relationships between the release rate and the flux. Due to the contact of surface sediment and the overlying water, the release flux from the sediment is either from direct desorption of surface sediment layer or from the diffusion of pore water in the sediment layer, which is mainly determined by sediment particle size and porosity. Generally, static phosphorus release process may include two stages: the first is the initial release. As for coarse particles, phosphorus is desorbed from surface sediment. And for fine particles, phosphorus concentration in water often decreases, mainly from pore water by the molecular diffusion. During the second stage, pore water flows faster in coarse sediment, and phosphorus is easy to desorb from the surface of the particles as diffusion dominates. 7Overall scheme and on-orbit images of Chang’E-2 lunar satellite CCD stereo camera显示文摘The goals of engineering and scientific missions for Chang’E-2 lunar satellite require high detection sensitivity and large im-aging dynamic range for the onboard CCD cameras.The TDI CCD image sensor was adopted for the two linear CCD stereo cameras for the first time in the lunar reconnaissance of the world.The design argumentation is described in this paper.The analysis shows that the imagers meet the mission requirements.The satellite was launched on 1 October 2010 at zero window.The cameras obtained images of 7 m resolution on the 100 km orbit for the first time on 24 October 2010,and operated once again on 27 October 2010 to take stereo images of the Sinus Iridum with the resolution better than 1.5 m.On the near-moon-arc of 15 km×100 km elliptical orbit,the images are very clear and rich of grey scales,indicating successful com-pletion of the Chang’E-2 engineering mission.At the present the cameras are acquiring the full lunar surface stereo images with 7 m resolution on the 100 km circular orbit to complete their scientific mission.ZHAO BaoChang YANG JianFeng WEN DeSheng GAO Wei CHANG LingYing SONG ZongXi XUE Bin ZHAO Wei 2011Science China(Technological Sciences)2011,54,9:7

10Polycrystalline diamond compact with enhanced thermal stability显示文摘Polycrystalline diamond compacts(PDC), which are composed of diamond and WC/Co substrate, and synthesized at high pressure and high temperature(HPHT), are widely applied as the tooth of drilling bit. However, the thermal stability of PDC will be reduced when diamond transforms into graphite due to cobalt in PDC acting as a catalyst during the drilling work. In this study, a new three-layer structured PDC with enhanced thermal stability has been successfully synthesized at pressures of 5.5–7.0 GPa and temperatures of 1650–1750?C. In this structure, the diamond-Si C composite acts as the working layer,and the diamond-Si C-Co composite and WC/Co cements are as the intermediate layer and substrate,respectively. 11Application of digital pattern-less molding technology to produce art casting显示文摘Compared with the conventional casting process, digital pattern-less casting technology has many advantages such as good machining accuracy, a short processing cycle, and low production cost. It is a new rapid manufacturing technology for castings, integrated with CAD/CAM, casting, CNC machining and many other advanced technologies. With this digital casting technology, no pattern is needed for making molds; it is precise, f lexible, and green. Usually, art castings have complex structures and are made in small batches or even made in a single-piece, especially for large-sized art castings. So it has the shortcomings of high cost, low eff iciency and long time for making a pattern to produce art castings with the conventional casting processes. However, the digital pattern-less casting technology can be applied to fabricate art castings, since it can greatly shorten the manufacturing cycle and lower the production cost, thus having a very good prospect. 13The mechanisms of contaminants release due to incipient motion at sediment-water interface显示文摘Sediments in many rivers and lakes are subjected to resuspension due to a combination of hydrodynamics.However,the roles of contaminant-contained dissolved and particulate sediments during the resuspension release are rarely studied.This study focuses on the release quantity of contaminants in both water phase and solid phase.Conservative tracer(NaCl)and reactive tracer(Phosphorus)were respectively added to cohesive fine-grained sediments and non-cohesive coarse-grained sediments.A range of typical shear stress was conducted to characterize the time-depended release of contaminants in a laboratory flume.When the sediment started to move,the concentration of contaminant in the overlying water increased with the bed shear stress,but the dissolved contaminants responded faster than the particulate ones.The observed contaminant release process can be divided into three main stages:the initial two hours fast mixing:the release contribution of pore water could reach up to 75%;the middle 4–6 h adsorption:the partitioning coefficient of contaminant between water phase and solid phase decreased over the time,and the adsorption of contaminates from resuspended sediment dominated the negative release;the last equilibrium stage:the desorption and adsorption reached equilibrium,and the reactive contaminant made an impact on the water quality in the solid phase.The existing formulas to evaluate the release flux are far from practice meaning as the sediment contaminants undergo a very complex release process.ZHU HongWei CHENG PengDa ZHONG BaoChang WANG DaoZeng 2014Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,8:4

16Identification and differentiation of major components in three different “Sheng-ma” crude drug species by UPLC/Q-TOF-MS显示文摘Cimicifugae Rhizoma(Sheng ma) is a Ranunculaceae herb belonging to a composite family and well known in China,has been widely used in traditional Chinese medicine.The Pharmacopoeia of the People's Republic of China contains three varieties(Cimicifuga dahurica(Turcz.),Cimicifuga foetida L.and Cimicifuga heracleifolia Kom.) which have been used clinically as 'Sheng-ma'.However,the chemical constituents of three components of 'Sheng-ma' have never been documented.In this study,a rapid method for the analysis of the main components of 'Sheng-ma' was developed using ultra-high performance liquid chromatography with quadrupole-time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC/Q-TOF-MS).The present study reveals the major common and distinct chemical constituents of C.dahurica,C.foetida and C.heracleifolia and also reports principal component and statistical analyses of these results.The components were identified by comparing the retention time,accurate mass,mass spectrometric fragmentation characteristic ions and matching empirical molecular formula with that of the published compounds.A total of 32 common components and 8 markers for different 'Sheng-ma' components were identified.These findings provide an important basis for the further study and clinical utilities of the three 'Sheng-ma' varieties.Mengxue Fan Kunming Qin Fei Ding Yuting Huang Xiaoli Wang Baochang Cai 2017Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2017,7,2:4
17Transport mechanisms of contaminants released from fine sediment in rivers显示文摘Contaminants released from sediment into rivers are one of the main problems to study in environmental hydrodynamics. For contaminants released into the overlying water under different hydrodynamic conditions, the mechanical mechanisms involved can be roughly divided into convective diffusion, molecular diffusion, and adsorption/desorption. Because of the obvious environmental influence of fine sediment( D90 = 0.06 mm), non-cohesive fine sediment, and cohesive fine sediment are researched in this paper, and phosphorus is chosen for a typical adsorption of a contaminant. Through theoretical analysis of the contaminant release process, according to different hydraulic conditions, the contaminant release coupling mathematical model can be established by the N–S equation, the Darcy equation,the solute transport equation, and the adsorption/desorption equation. Then, the experiments are completed in an open water flume. The simulation results and experimental results show that convective diffusion dominates the contaminant release both in non-cohesive and cohesive fine sediment after their suspension, and that they contribute more than 90 % of the total release. Molecular diffusion and desorption have more of a contribution for contaminant release from unsuspended sediment. In unsuspension sediment, convective diffusion is about 10–50 times larger than molecular diffusion during the initial stages under high velocity; it is close to molecular diffusion in the later stages. Convective diffusion is about 6 times larger than molecular diffusion during theinitial stages under low velocity, it is about a quarter of molecular diffusion in later stages, and has a similar level with desorption/adsorption. In unsuspended sediment, a seepage boundary layer exists below the water–sediment interface,and various release mechanisms in that layer mostly dominate the contaminant release process. In non-cohesive fine sediment, the depth of that layer increases linearly with shear stress. 19Simultaneous chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitative analysis of flavonoids in Pollen Typhae by high-performance capillary electrophoresis显示文摘To evaluate the quality of Pollen Typhae as used in traditional Chinese medicine,a high-performance capillary electrophoresis(HPCE)method has been developed,validated and applied to chromatographic fingerprinting and quantitation of its eight main bioactive flavonoids(naringenin,isorhamnetin 3-0-(2^(G)-α-L-rhamnosy)-rutinoside,rhamnetin 3-0-neohesperidoside,isorhamnetin,quercetin 3-0-(2^(G)-α-L-rhamnosyl)-rutinoside,quercetin 3-O-neohesperidoside,kaempferol and quer-cetin).Fingerprinting was based on the selection of nine characteristic chromatographic peaks.In quantitative analysis,the recovery of all eight compounds was in the range 98.5-102.2% with good linearity(r^(2)>0.9919)over a relatively wide concentration range.The assay was successfully applied to the analysis of the eight bioactive flavonoids in 14 different samples.The results indicate that the assay is reproducible and precise and can be used for convenient quality assessment of Pollen Typhae.Le Han Xunhong Liu Nianyun Yang Junsong Li Baochang Cai Shi Cheng 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,6:3
20A novel incompressible finite-difference lattice Boltzmann equation for particle-laden flow显示文摘In this paper, we propose a novel incompressible finite-difference lattice Boltzmann Equation (FDLBE). Because source terms that reflect the interaction between phases can be accurately described, the new model is suitable for simulating two-way coupling incompressible multiphase flow.The 2-D particle-laden flow over a backward-facing step is chosen as a test case to validate the present method.
