1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 2Spatial Distribution of Traditional Villages and Influence Factors in Hunan Province显示文摘To develop and protect traditional villages reasonably, this paper applied Arc GIS Spatial Analyst Tools to analyze spatial distribution and infl uence factors of 101 traditional villages in Hunan Province. The research showed the agglomerate distribution of traditional villages in Hunan; from the city scale, distribution of traditional villages was concentrated mainly in West Hunan Tujia Nationality Autonomous Prefecture, Chenzhou, Yongzhou, Huaihua and Shaoyang; concentrated distribution of traditional villages in the fi ve major geographic regions showed poor equilibrium, West Hunan had the most concentrated traditional villages, and South Hunan has the second most; relatively closed regional environment, perilous hills, inconvenient transportation, and underdeveloped social economy contributed to the protection of traditional villages, and they were all signifi cant infl uence factors for the distribution of traditional villages in Hunan.LI Bohua YIN Sha LIU Peilin DOU Yindi 2016Journal of Landscape Research2016,8,2:4
3Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine plus narrow-band medium-wave ultraviolet B radiation on moderate-to-severe psoriasis vulgaris in a case series显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the efficacy and safety of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) therapy combined with ultraviolet B light therapy in the treatment of moderate-to-severe psoriasis. METHODS: Patients with moderate-to-severe psoriasis (skin lesion area > 10% of the body surface area) for 2 consecutive years were treated with TCM (oral and external use of herbal medicines, acupuncture, and herbal bathing) and narrow-band medium-wave ultraviolet B light treatment for 12 weeks. The treatment effect was evaluated based on the Psoriasis Area Severity Index (PASI), the achievement of a 50% reduction in the PASI (PASI50), the achievement of a 75% reduction in the PASI (PASI75), pruritus score, Dermatology Life Quality Index, and safety. RESULTS: A total of 95 outpatients were enrolled, and 92 subjects (96.8%) completed the 12-week treatment course. At baseline, the average proportion of the body surface area covered by skin lesions was 12.4%, and the average PASI was 17.7. All patients had previously been treated with conventional medicine (89.1% of patients received ultraviolet light treatment, 50.0% received glucocorticoids, and 21.7% received acitretin). After the 12-week treatment course, 22 patients (23.9%) achieved PASI75, and 43 (46.7%) achieved PASI50. The post-treatment pruritus score and Dermatology Life Quality Index of all treated patients were significantly lower than the respective baseline values (P < 0.0001). 4Bismuth oxide nanoflake@carbon film: A free-standing battery-type electrode for aqueous sodium ion hybrid supercapacitors显示文摘Aqueous hybrid supercapacitors are promising due to their low cost and high safety. Herein, a freestanding battery-type electrode of Bi_2O_3 nanoflake@C on carbon cloth is designed for aqueous sodium ion hybrid supercapacitors. Due to the integration of nanoarray architecture and the conductive carbon,the Bi_2O_3@C electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 207 mAh/g at 2 A/g(6C), good rate capability and cycling stability(133 m Ah/g after 1000 cycles). With the activated carbon as the capacitive electrode and neutral sodium salts as the electrolyte, a 1.9 V hybrid supercapacitor is assembled,delivering a high energy density of 18.94 Wh/kg. The device can still maintain 72.3% of initial capacity after 650 cycles. 5Effect of constant compressive stress induced by imitating tuina stimulation with various durations on the cell cycle,cellular secretion,apoptosis,and expression of myogenic differentiation and myogenic factor 5 of rat skeletal muscle cells in vitro显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate the effect of constant compressive stress induced by imitating Tuina stimulation with various durations on the cell cycle,cellular secretion,apoptosis,and expression of myogenic regulatory factors(MRFs),myogenic factor 5(Myf5)and myogenic differentiation(MyoD)of rat skeletal muscle cells(RSkMCs)in vitro.METHODS:Third passage RSkMCs were subjected to constant compressive stresses with various durations at 2000μstrain for 15,30,60,90,and 120 min via a four-point bending system.The control group(CG)was cultured in the absence of mechanical loading.Alterations of the cell cycle and apoptosis rate were detected by flow cytometry(FCM).The concentrations of interleukin 6(IL-6)/prostaglandin E2(PGE2)and nitric oxide(NO)in supernatants were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays and the nitrate reductase method,respectively.Expression of Myf5 and MyoD was detected by immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:Compared with the CG,a significant alteration was observed in the synthesis phase fraction(SPF)(P<0.01).The SPF and proliferation index(PI)were reduced from 15 to 90 min,but reached levels similar to those at 120 min.Apoptosis was increased significantly at 30 min(P<0.05)and especially at 90 and 120 min(P<0.01).Expression of MyoD and Myf5 was increased significantly at 15,30,and 90 min(P<0.01).Compared with 15 and 30 min,MyoD and Myf5 expression at 60 and 120 min was decreased significantly(P<0.01).Compared with 60 min,M yoD expression at 90 min was increased significantly(P<0.05),whereas MyoD and Myf5 expression at 120 min was significantly lower(P<0.05).The IL-6 concentration was increased at 60 min compared with the CG and 15 min(P<0.05),whereas the concentrations of PGE2 and NO were the highest at 15 and 30 min,respectively,compared with the CG and other time points(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The cell cycle,secretion,apoptosis,and Myf5 and MyoD expression of RSkMCs were regulated by compressive stress in a time-dependent manner.SPF and PI were inhibited at short durations(<90 min),but NO and PGE2 secretion was the highest at shorter durations(<30 min).With the prolongation of stimulation time,SPF,PI,and apoptosis were increased,but Myf5 and MyoD expression was decreased gradually at 15-30 min.Lu Qunwen Su Chengguo Liu Huahui Luo Caigui Yan Bohua 2020Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2020,40,4:1

9An Investigation on Efficient Acoustic Energy Reflection of Flexible Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators显示文摘This paper investigates the issues on acoustic energy reflection of flexible film bulk acoustic resonators(FBARs). The flexible FBAR was fabricated with an air cavity in the polymer substrate, which endowed the resonator with efficient acoustic reflection and high electrical performance. The acoustic wave propagation and reflection in FBAR were first analyzed by Mason model, and then flexible FBARs of 2.66 GHz series resonance in different configurations were fabricated. To validate efficient acoustic reflection of flexible resonators, FBARs were transferred onto different polymer substrates without air cavities. Experimental results indicate that efficient acoustic reflection can be efficiently predicted by Mason model. Flexible FBARs with air cavities exhibit a higher figure of merit(FOM). 10Capillary electroosmosis properties of water lubricants with different electroosmotic additives under a steel-on-steel sliding interface显示文摘The process of lubricant penetration into frictional interfaces has not been fully established,hence compromising their tribological performance.In this study,the penetration characteristics of deionized water(DI water)containing an electroosmotic suppressant(cetyltrimethylammonium bromide(CTAB))and an electroosmotic promoter(sodium lauriminodipropionate(SLI)),were investigated using steel-onsteel friction pairs.The results indicated that the lubricant with electroosmotic promoter reduced the coefficient of friction and wear scar diameter,whereas that with an electroosmotic suppressant exhibited an opposite behavior compared with DI water.The addition of SLI promoted the penetration of the DI water solution,thus resulting in the formation of a thick lubricating film of iron oxide at the sliding surface.This effectively reduced the abrasion damage,leading to a lower coefficient of friction and wear loss.Bohua FENG Zhiqiang LUAN Tao ZHANG Jiawei LIU Xiaodong HU Jiju GUAN Xuefeng XU 2022Friction2022,10,7:1
11Hybrid architecture design enhances the areal capacity and cycling life of low-overpotential nanoarray oxygen electrode for lithium–oxygen batteries显示文摘Transition metal oxide(TMO)nanoarrays are promising architecture designs for self-supporting oxygen electrodes to achieve high catalytic activities in lithium-oxygen(Li-O2)batteries.However,the poor conductive nature of TMOs and the confined growth of nanostructures on the limited surfaces of electrode substrates result in the low areal capacities of TMO nanoarray electrodes,which seriously deteriorates the intrinsically high energy densities of Li-O2 batteries.Herein,we propose a hybrid nanoarray architecture design that integrates the high electronic conductivity of carbon nanoflakes(CNFs)and the high catalytic activity of Co3 O4 nanosheets on carbon cloth(CC).Due to the synergistic effect of two differently featured components,the hybrid nanoarrays(Co3 O4-CNF@CC)achieve a high reversible capacity of3.14 mA h cm-2 that cannot be achieved by only single components.Further,CNFs grown on CC induce the three-dimensionally distributed growth of ultrafine Co3 O4 nanosheets to enable the efficient utilization of catalysts.Thus,with the high catalytic efficiency,hybrid Co3 O4-CNF@CC also achieves a more prolonged cycling life than pristine TMO nanoarrays.The present work provides a new strategy for improving the performance of nanoarray oxygen electrodes via the hybrid architecture design that integrates the intrinsic properties of each component and induces the three-dimensional distribution of catalysts.Liang Xiao Duo Wang Ming Li Bohua Deng Jinping Liu 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,7:1

13Regulating ethane and ethylene synthesis by proton corridor microenvironment for CO_(2) electrolysis显示文摘Electrocatalytic reduction of carbon dioxide is one of the most effective strategies to achieve carbon neutrality and energy sustainability.Although high-value multi-carbon products have been widely studied,limited electrocatalysts have been reported for the selective conversion of ethane.More importantly,the factors tuning the selectivity between ethane and ethylene have not been clarified.Here,Zn@Cu nanowire arrays(Zn@Cu-NWAs) catalyst is proposed to stimulate the maintenance of efficient CO_(2)-to-C_(2)H_(6) conversion at high current densities.Meanwhile,in order to investigate the factors affecting the interconversion between ethane and ethylene,the counterpart catalyst that facilitates C–C coupling to ethylene was also synthesized.Time-of-flight secondary-ion mass spectroscopy(TOF-SIMS),in-situ Raman spectroscopy,and simulation results show that Zn@Cu-NWAs can provide a localized proton corridor environment for the formation of ethane,accelerating the further proton-coupled CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)kinetics.Hence,this catalyst delivered an ethane Faraday efficiency of over 65% at-1.14 V vs.RHE with a total current density of 142.3 mA/cm^(2).This work provides a new perspective on regulating the local microenvironment to modify the selectivity of multi-carbon products.Xiaowen Zhang Bohua Ren Hao Li Shuxuan Liu Haoyang Xiong Silong Dong Yifan Li Dan Luo Yi Cui Guobin Wen Xin Wang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,12:0
14Electrode design for multimode suppression of aluminum nitride tuning fork resonators显示文摘This paper is focused on electrode design for piezoelectric tuning fork resonators.The relationship between the performance and electrode pattern of aluminum nitride piezoelectric tuning fork resonators vibrating in the in-plane flexural mode is investigated based on a set of resonators with different electrode lengths,widths,and ratios.Experimental and simulation results show that the electrode design impacts greatly the multimode effect induced from torsional modes but has little influence on other loss mechanisms.Optimizing the electrode design suppresses the torsional mode successfully,thereby increasing the ratio of impedance at parallel and series resonant frequencies(R_(p)/R_(s))by more than 80%and achieving a quality factor(Q)of 7753,an effective electromechanical coupling coefficient(kt_(eff)^(2))of 0.066%,and an impedance at series resonant frequency(R_(m))of 23.6 kΩ.The proposed approach shows great potential for high-performance piezoelectric resonators,which are likely to be fundamental building blocks for sensors with high sensitivity and low noise and power consumption.Yi Yuan Qingrui Yang Haolin Li Shuai Shi Pengfei Niu Chongling Sun Bohua Liu Menglun Zhang Wei Pang 2023Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2023,6,4:0
15Surface carboxyl groups enhance the capacities of carbonaceous oxygen electrodes for aprotic lithiumoxygen batteries: A direct observation on binder-free electrodes显示文摘In order to achieve the high capacities of carbonaceous oxygen diffusion electrodes for aprotic lithiumoxygen batteries(Li-O2 batteries),most efforts currently focus on the design of rational porous architectures.Only few works study the surface chemistry effect that might be a critical factor influencing the capacities of carbonaceous electrodes.In addition,the surface chemistry effect is very difficult to be studied in composite electrodes due to the influences of binders and additives.Herein,we propose chemically activated carbon cloth(CACC) as an ideal model to investigate the effect of surface functional groups on the discharge capacities of carbonaceous oxygen electrodes for Li-O2 batteries.The intrinsic surface chemistry effect on the performance of carbonaceous cathode is directly observed for the first time without the influences of binders and additives.Results indicate that the surface carboxyl groups introduced by the chemical treatment not only function as the appropriate nucleation sites for Li2 O2 but also induce the formation of toroid-like Li2 O2.Thus,the surface carboxyl modification enhances the discharge capacities from 0.48 mAh/cm^2 of pristine carbon cloth to 1.23 mAh/cm^2 of CACC.This work presents an effective way to further optimize the carbonaceous oxygen electrodes via surface functional group engineering.Ming Li Liang Xiao Duo Wang Haoyang Dong Bohua Deng Jinping Liu 2019Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,12:0
16Ethical framework on risk governance of synthetic biology显示文摘Synthetic biology is an emerging multidisciplinary field that aims to design and construct new biological systems not found in nature.Whereas synthetic biology may yield tremendous benefits,it may also pose substantial risks to human health and the environment that must be addressed.In this paper,we examined the environmental risks associated with synthetic biology,including changes to or depletion of the environment,competition with native species,horizontal gene transfer,pathogenicity or toxicity,bioterrorism,and laboratory biosecurity.We highlight three approaches for assessing environmental risks in synthetic biology:solution-focused risk assessment,Bayesian networks,and network of networks for sustainable capacity building.An ethical governance framework is proposed to facilitate innovation while minimising risks.This framework emphasises the precautionary principle and balancing stakeholder interests prior to project development and commercialisation.Overall,we underscore the importance and urgency of assessing and managing the environmental risks of synthetic biology to ensure its safe and ethical development and application.Liao Bohua Wang Yuexin Ou Yakun Zuo Kunlan Liu Huan Lei Ruipeng 2023Journal of Biosafety and Biosecurity2023,5,2:0
17Surface-assembled highly flexible Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F nanocube cathode for high-rate binder-free Na-ion batteries显示文摘Flexible Na-ion storage cathodes are still very few due to the challenge in achieving both reliable mechanical flexibility and excellent electrochemical performances.Herein,a new type of flexible Na_(3)(VOPO_(4))_(2)F cathode with nanocubes tightly assembled on carbon cloth is fabricated by a facile solvothe rmal method for the first time.The cathode is able to exhibit superior rate capability and stable cycling performa nce up to 1000 cycles,due to the surface-assembling of crystalline nanocubes on carbon fibers.In addition,it shows good mechanical flexibility,nearly no capacity decay is observed after continuous bending of 500 times.With this novel cathode and a directly-grown Na_(2)Ti_(2)O_(5) anode,a fully binde r-free Na-ion battery is assembled.It can deliver a high wo rking voltage and increased gravimetric energy/power densities(maximum values:220.2 Wh/kg;5674,7 W/kg),and can power a LED indicator at bending angles fro m 0° to 180°.Bohua Deng Ning Yue Haoyang Dong Qiuyue Gui Liang Xiao Jinping Liu 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,2:0

19A study of virtual land trade between China and ASEAN based on material flow analysis model显示文摘In this paper,based on the material flux analysis model(MFA) and its corresponding theories and algo-rithms of 'virtual land',virtual land contents of f ive primary agricultural products are calculated and 'virtual land trade' hidden in those imported and exported products are also obtained through analyzing the primary agricultural product trade between China and ASEAN.In the process of calculation,following the thought of changing agricul-tural products to 'virtual land trade',land content,trade condition and spatial distribution of agricultural products were integratedly considered.The results indicate that China exported 73,057 km2 of virtual land area to ASEAN by tea,vegetables,maize and grain,while ASEAN exported 57,332 km2 to China by natural rubber from 2002 to 2005.It is obvious that China has lost 15,725 km2 arable land through agricultural product trade.Additionally,in order to describe the specif ic process of calculation on virtual land trade,Thailand was taken as an example to analyze its international trade of rice and wheat from 1991 to 2005 and calculate their 'virtual land trade' 2001 through 2005.According to the analysis and calculation,it is not diff icult to conclude that 'virtual land trade' is very important and could be used for China to guide agricultural export or import structure and maintain sustainable use of land resources.Zhao Jinling Liu Chuang Yang Aqiang Yu Bohua 2008Ecological Economy2008,4,4:0
