| 1 | A scientometric review of biochar research in the past 20 years(1998-2018)显示文摘Biochar is the carbon-rich product obtained from the thermochemical conversion of biomass under oxygen-limited conditions.Biochar has attained extensive attention due to its agronomical and environmental benefits in agro-ecosystems.This work adopts the scientometric analysis method to assess the development trends of biochar research based on the literature data retrieved from the Web of Science over the period of 1998-2018.By analysing the basic characteristics of 6934 publications,we found that the number of publications grew rapidly since 2010.Based on a keyword analysis,it is concluded that scholars have had a fundamental recognition of biochar and preliminarily found that biochar application had agronomic and environmental benefits during the period of 1998-2010.The clustering results of keywords in documents published during 2011-2015 showed that the main research hotspots were“biochar production”,“biochar and global climate change”,“soil quality and plant growth”,“organic pollutants removal”,and“heavy metals immobilization”.While in 2016-2018,beside these five main research hotspots,“biochar and composting”topic had also received greater attention, indicating that biochar utilization in organic solid waste composting is the current research hotspot. Moreover, updated reactors(e.g.,microwave reactor,fixed-bed reactor,screw-feeding reactor, bubbling fluidized bed reactor, etc.)or technologies(e.g.,solar pyrolysis,Thermo-Catalytic Reforming process, liquefaction technology, etc.)applied for efficient energy production and modified biochar for environmental remediation have been extensively studied recently. The findings may help the new researchers to seize the research frontier in the biochar field. | Ping Wu Syed Tahir Ata-Ul-Karim Bhupinder Pal Singh Hailong Wang Tongliang Wu Cun Liu Guodong Fang Dongmei Zhou Yujun Wang Wenfu Chen | 2019 | Biochar2019,1,1: | 36 |

| 5 | Interactions between lead(Ⅱ) ions and dissolved organic matter derived from organic fertilizers incubated in the field显示文摘This work was to study composition characteristics and the subsequent effect on the lead(Pb) binding properties of dissolved organic matter(DOM) derived from seaweed-based(SWOF) and chicken manure organic fertilizers(CMOF) during a one-year field incubation experiment using the excitation-emission matrix-parallel factor(EEM-PARAFAC) and twodimensional correlation spectroscopy(2DCOS) analysis. Results showed that high aromatic and hydrophobic fluorescent substances were enriched in CMOF-derived DOM and SWOFderived DOM and enhanced over time. And phenolic groups in the fulvic-like substances for SWOF-derived DOM and carboxyl groups in the humic-like substances for CMOF-derived DOM had the fastest responses over time, respectively. Moreover, both non-fluorescent polysaccharides and fluorescent humic-like substances or fulvic-like substances with aromatic(C=C) groups first participated in the binding process of Pb to SWOF-derived DOM on day 0 and 180 during the lead binding process. In contrast, humic-like substances associated with aromatic(C=C) and phenolic groups gave a faster response to Pb binding on day 360. Regarding CMOF-derived DOM, the fulvic-like substances associated with aromatic(C=C) and carboxylic groups displayed a faster response to Pb ions on day 0. Nonetheless, polysaccharides and humic-like associated with phenolic groups had a faster response on days 180 and 360. It is noteworthy that the polysaccharides, which participated in Pb binding to CMOF-derived DOM, posed a higher risk of Pb in the environment after 360 days. Therefore, these findings gave new insights into the long-term applications of commercial organic fertilizers for the amendment of soil. | Long Chen Boling Li Zhipeng Wu Qingjie Zhao Qiuyue Wang Hailong Wang Bhupinder Pal Singh Weidong Wu Chuanliang Fu | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,11: | 1 |
| 6 | Towards the Association of Voluntary Disclosures and Value of Firms:Evidence Revisited in India显示文摘The information disclosed by the companies in their annual reports reveals much about company’s performance and prospects. Investors take the information as base for decision for investment. Under such circumstance, companies choose to disclose beyond what is mandatorily required. Theories like agency theory, capital need theory and signaling theory support the need of voluntary disclosure. This study is about the relationship between voluntary disclosure and value of Indian pharmaceutical companies listed on World’s oldest stock exchange, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE). Objectives: Twofold : First, to investigate the extent of voluntary disclosure practices prevailing in pharma sector of India, Second, to study the impact of voluntary disclosure on Value of companies (value as measured by Weighted Average Cost of Capital, Stock Volatility and Price to Book Ratio) for the year 2010-2011 to 2017-2018. Research Methodology: To understand the extent of disclosure, a disclosure checklist is constructed and descriptive statistics are carved to reach the results. To understand the impact, Panel data regression (Fixed effect model, Random effect model, Hausman test) are run. Observation: Voluntary disclosure does not affect WACC but are negatively related to stock volatility and Price to Book Ratio in Indian scenario. | Rupali Khanna Bhupinder Pal Singh Chahal | 2019 | Journal of Modern Accounting and Auditing2019,15,3: | 0 |
| 7 | Compatible package-based agriculture systems:an urgent need for agro-ecological balance and climate change adaptation显示文摘Besides contributing majorly in the growth of a country, agriculture is one of the severely affected sectors at present.Several modifications and adaptations are being made in agricultural practices to cope-up with the declining soil fertility and changing climate scenarios across the world. However, the development and adoption of a single agricultural practice may not help in the holistic mitigation of the impacts of climate change and may result in economic vulnerability to farmers. Therefore,it is high time to develop and recommend a group of agricultural practices i.e.,package-based agriculture system having some compatibility for one another in the long term.In this article,a viewpoint has been given on some emergent agronomic practices adopted in the tropical agroecosystems which have potential to be developed as compatible agricultural package in combination. Moreover,we also emphasized on exploring some key indicators/environmental factors to assess the compatibility of different agronomic practices. For identifying the research transition from single to combined agricultural practices,a bibliometric analysis was performed by using conservation agriculture(CA),the system of rice intensification(SRI),organic agriculture and soil(biochar)amendment as the major agronomic practices being used for improving agroecological services such as improving nutrient cycling, soil fertility and crop productivity as well as climate change mitigation. The results revealed that scientific communities are now paying attention to exploring the role of combined agricultural practices for agro-ecological balance and climate change adaptation. Moreover, the limitations of the adoption of agronomic packages under different agro-climatic zones have also been highlighted. The recommendations of the study would further help the environmental decision-makers to develop potential measures for climate change mitigation without compromising the agro-ecological balance. | Rishikesh Singh Tanu Kumari Pramit Verma Bhupinder Pal Singh Akhilesh Singh Raghubanshi | 2022 | Soil Ecology Letters2022,4,3: | 0 |
