| 1 | 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents显示文摘Syncope belongs to the transient loss of consciousness(TLOC), characterized by a rapid onset, short duration, and spontaneous complete recovery. It is common in children and adolescents, accounting for 1% to 2% of emergency department visits.Recurrent syncope can seriously affect children's physical and mental health, learning ability and quality of life and sometimes cardiac syncope even poses a risk of sudden death. The present guideline for the diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was developed for guiding a better clinical management of pediatric syncope. Based on the globally recent development and the evidence-based data in China, 2018 Chinese Pediatric Cardiology Society(CPCS) guideline for diagnosis and treatment of syncope in children and adolescents was jointly prepared by the Pediatric Cardiology Society, Chinese Pediatric Society, Chinese Medical Association(CMA)/Committee on Pediatric Syncope, Pediatricians Branch, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Committee on Pediatric Cardiology, Chinese College of Cardiovascular Physicians, Chinese Medical Doctor Association(CMDA)/Pediatric Cardiology Society, Beijing Pediatric Society, Beijing Medical Association(BMA). | 2 | Notch signaling mediated by TGF-β/Smad pathway in concanavalin A-induced liver fibrosis in rats显示文摘AIM To explore the exact interaction between Notch and transforming growth factor(TGF)-β signaling in liver fibrosis. METHODS We established a rat model of liver fibrosis induced by concanavalin A. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMCs) were isolated from the modeled rats, and cultured with γ-secretase inhibitor DAPT and TGF-β inhibitor for 24 h. The m RNA levels of Notch and TGF-β signaling were detected by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Expression of Notch and TGF-β proteins was analyzed by western blotting.RESULTS Compared to control rats, Notch and TGF-β signaling was activated in PBMCs of model rats. Administration of DAPT and TGF-β inhibitor suppressed Notch and TGF-β signal transducer in PBMCs of model rats. DAPT reduced m RNA and protein expression of TGF-β signaling, such as TGF-β1 and Smad3. TGF-β inhibitor also downregulated Notch1, Hes1 and Hes5, and m RNA and protein expression of the Notch signaling pathway.CONCLUSION Notch and TGF-β signaling play a role in liver fibrosis. | 3 | Nedaplatin concurrent with three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy for treatment of locally advanced esophageal carcinoma显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of nedaplatin(NDP)concurrent with radiotherapy in the treatment of locally advanced esophageal carcinoma.METHODS:Sixty-eight patients with locally advanced esophageal carcinoma were randomized into either a NDP group(n=34)or a cisplatin(DDP)group(n=34).The NDP group received NDP 80-100 mg/m2iv on day 1+leucovorin(CF)100 mg/m2iv on days 1-5+5-fluorouracil(5-FU)500 mg/m2iv on days 1-5.The DDP group received DDP 30 mg/m2iv on days 1-3+CF 100 mg/m2on days 1-5+5-FU 500 mg/m2iv on days 1-5.The treatment was repeated every 4 wk in both groups.Concurrent radiotherapy[60-66 Gy/(30-33f)/(6-7 wk)]was given during chemotherapy.RESULTS:There was no significant difference in the short-term response rate between the NDP group and DDP group(90.9%vs 81.3%,P=0.528).Although the 1-and 2-year survival rates were higher in the NDP group than in the DDP group(75.8%vs 68.8%,57.6%vs 50.0%),the difference in the overall survival rate was not statistically significant between the two groups(P=0.540).The incidences of nausea,vomiting and nephrotoxicity were significantly lower in the NDP group than in the DDP group(17.6%vs 50.0%,P=0.031;11.8%vs 47.1%,P=0.016;8.8%vs 38.2%,P=0.039).There was no significant difference in the incidence of myelosuppression,radiation-induced esophagitis or radiation-induced pneumonia between the two groups.CONCLUSION:NDP-based concurrent chemoradiotherapy is effective and well-tolerated in patients with locally advanced esophageal carcinoma.NDP-based regimen has comparable efficacy to DDP-based regimen but is associated with lower incidences of gastrointestinal and renal toxicity. | Ze-Tian Shen Xin-Hu Wu Bing Li Jun-Shu Shen Zhen Wang Jing Li Xi-Xu Zhu | 2013 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,48: | 23 |

Big Personal Data has enormous commercial value; it is a new kind of data asset. An urgent problem has thus arisen in the data market: How to price Big Personal Data fairly and reasonably. This paper proposes a pricing model for Big Personal Data based on tuple granularity, with the help of comparative analysis of existing data pricing models and strategies. This model is put forward to implement positive rating and reverse pricing for Big Personal Data by investigating data attributes that affect data value, and analyzing how the value of data tuples varies with information entropy, weight value, data reference index, cost, and other factors. The model can be adjusted dynamically according to these parameters. | 7 | Review grain yield and nitrogen use efficiency in rice production regions in China显示文摘As one of the staple food crops, rice(Oryza sativa L.) is widely cultivated across China, which plays a critical role in guaranteeing national food security. Most previous studies on grain yield or/and nitrogen use efficiency(NUE) of rice in China often involved site-specific field experiments, or small regions with insufficient data, which limited the representation for the current rice production regions. In this study, a database covering a wide range of climate conditions, soil types and field managements across China, was developed to estimate rice grain yield and NUE in various rice production regions in China and to evaluate the relationships between N rates and grain yield, NUE. According to the database for rice, the values of grain yield, plant N accumulation, N harvest index(HIN), indigenous N supply(INS), internal N efficiency(IE_N), reciprocal internal N efficiency(RIE_N), agronomic N use efficiency(AE_N), partial N factor productivity(PEPN), physiological N efficiency(PE_N), and recover efficiency of applied N(RE_N) averaged 7.69 t ha^(–1), 152 kg ha^(–1), 0.64 kg kg^(–1), 94.1 kg kg^(–1), 53.9 kg kg^(–1), 1.98 kg kg^(–1), 12.6 kg kg^(–1), 48.6 kg kg^(–1), 33.8 kg kg^(–1), and 39.3%, respectively. However, the corresponding values all varied tremendously with large variation. Rice planting regions and N rates had significant influence on grain yield, N uptake and NUE values. Considering all observations, N rates of 200 to 250 kg ha^(–1) commonly achieved higher rice grain yield compared to less than 200 kg N ha^(–1) and more than 250 kg N ha^(–1) at most rice planting regions. At N rates of 200 to 250 kg ha^(–1), significant positive linear relationships were observed between rice grain yield and AE_N, PE_N, RE_N, IE_N, and PFPN, and 46.49, 24.64, 7.94, 17.84, and 88.24% of the variation in AE_N, PE_N, RE_N, IE_N, and PFPN could be explained by grain yield, respectively. | 11 | Inhibition of pancreatic carcinoma cell growth in vitro by DPC4 gene transfection显示文摘AIM: To detect the expression of DPC4 in malignant and non-malignant specimens of human pancreas,and observe the inhibition of retroviral pLXSN containing DPC4 on pancreatic carcinoma cells in vitro.METHODS: The expression of DPC4 was determined in 40 pancreatic adenocarcinoma and 36 non-malignant pancreatic specimens by reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and immunohisto-chemistry.Furthermore,we constructed retroviral vectors containing DPC4,which then infected the pancreatic carcinoma cell line BxPC-3.Cell growth in vitro after being infected was observed,and the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) mRNA level in the daughter cells was determined by semi-quantitative PCR assay.RESULTS: The RT-PCR assay showed a positive rate of DPC4 mRNA in 100% (36/36) of normal specimens,compared to 40% (16/40) in adenocarcinoma specimens.The regional and intense positive cases of DPC4 expression in adenocarcinoma detected by immunohistochemistry were 10 and four,whereas it was all positive expression in normal tissues.There was a significant difference of DPC4 expression between them.The stable expression of DPC4 in the pancreatic carcinoma cells BxPC-3 could be resumed by retroviral vector pLXSN transfection,and could inhibit cell growth in vitro.Rather,DPC4 could decrease VEGF mRNA transcription levels.CONCLUSION: The deletion of DPC4 expression in pancreatic carcinoma suggests that loss of DPC4 may be involved in the development of pancreatic carcinoma.The retroviral vector pLXSN containing DPC4 can inhibit the proliferation of pancreatic carcinoma cells,and down-regulate the level of VEGF. | Wei Shen Guo-Qing Tao Bing Cai De-Chun Li Xing-Guo Zhu Xia Bai | 2008 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2008,14,40: | 11 |

After coating modification, the specific surface area of catalysts is improved obviously.Among the catalysts, the Ce_(0.75)Zr_(0.25)O_2 coating modified NiMnO_3 catalyst exhibits the best catalytic activity for VOCs combustion with 95.6% conversion at 275 ℃ and has stable activity when catalyst is embalmed at 800 ℃. In addition, the catalyst also presents the excellent water-resistant and conversion stability over time-on-stream condition. In this study, we have measured Re-Os isochron ages of Ni-Mo polymetallic layers(Songlin, Niuchang, Sancha, Chuanpengwan), V-rich black shales(Bahuang), and non-metalliferous black shales(Shuidong) in the basal Niutitang Formation in Guizhou and Hunan province, South China. The Ni-Mo polymetallic layers and V-enriched black shales have similar Re-Os isochron ages, suggesting concurrent deposition of these two types of metalliferous ores. This suggestion is consistent with the traditional stratigraphic correlation by using the nodular phosphorite bed directly underlying these metalliferous layers as a stratigraphic marker. Furthermore, the metalliferous ores and non-metalliferous black shales have similar initial ^(187)Os/^(188) Os ratios of 0.8–0.9, arguing for a dominant seawater origin with minor contribution of hydrothermal activity. Furthermore, Re-Os isotopic data also imply that Ni-Mo and V ore might have derived from the same source. We suggest that the spatial distribution of metalliferous ores can be explained by the development of non-sulfidic anoxic-suboxic wedge(NSASW) in the slope-basin and sulfidic wedge in the previous platform margin. Upwelling of deep water first transects the mildly reduced, organic rich NSASW, in which V(V) is reduced to V(IV), and is preferentially removed from seawater by organometallic complex formation. As a result, V-rich black shale deposits in the slope-basin of Yangtze Platform.
