1Role of Co Content on Densification and Microstructure of WC–Co Cemented Carbides Prepared by Selective Laser Melting显示文摘WC–Co cemented carbides, well-known as the conventional tooling materials, have not been successfully produced by one step additive manufacturing processes such as selective laser melting(SLM) yet. The microstructure evolution as well as WC grain growth behavior has rarely been investigated in detail during SLM process. In this study, the WC–Co cemented carbides with different Co contents(12–32 wt%) were prepared by optimized SLM processes for comparative investigation of densification behavior, microstructure characterization and mechanical property. The increase in Co content in feedstock carbide granules can improve the densification behavior during SLM process. The SLM processed WC-12 Co shows larger average WC grain size and higher percentage of coarser WC grains as compared with both WC-20 Co and WC-32 Co. The microstructure characterization, combined with finite element simulation, shows the WC grain growth mechanisms include agglomeration and dissolution-deposition of WC during SLM process and agglomeration of WC is an important mechanism especially for WC–Co cemented carbides with Co content as low as 12 wt%. 23D star-like atypical hybrid MOF derived single-atom catalyst boosts oxygen reduction catalysis显示文摘Developing high-efficiency,stable and non-precious electrocatalysts for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)is highly important for energy conversion and storage.Single atom catalysts(SACs)show good potential in enhancing ORR,however,the specifical control over the coordination surroundings around single metal center to intrinsically modify the electron structure is still a great challenge.Herein,we demonstrate that a 3 D hybrid MOF composed of cobalt doped ZIF-L and ZIF-8,featuring star morphology with six equal branches,can be used as an advanced precursor for making the Co SACs for greatly boosted ORR.The as-synthesized Co_(SA)-N-C exhibits excellent ORR activity with E_(1/2) of 0.891 V in alkaline medium,outperforming the commercial Pt/C by 39 m V.Moreover,the E_(1/2) of Co_(SA)-N-C(0.790 V)is merely 15 m V,less than that of Pt/C(0.805 V)in acid medium,which is among the best in the reported state-of-the-art SACs.DFT calculations demonstrate that the enhanced ORR performance is assigned to the formation of atomically isolated cobalt atom coordinated three N atoms and one C atom,which is easier to decrease the free energy of rate determining step and accelerate the ORR process than that of traditional cobalt atom coordinated four N atoms.In addition,a primary Zn-air battery with Co_(SA)-N-C cathode reveals a maximum power density of 92.2 m W cm^(-2) at 120.0 m A cm^(-2),far higher than that of commercial catalysts(74.2 m W cm^(-2) at 110.0 m A cm^(-2)).Lei Zhou Peng Zhou Yelong Zhang Bingyao Liu Peng Gao Shaojun Guo 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,4:4
3Graphene-driving strain engineering to enable strain-free epitaxy of AlN film for deep ultraviolet light-emitting diode显示文摘The energy-efficient deep ultraviolet(DUV)optoelectronic devices suffer from critical issues associated with the poor quality and large strain of nitride material system caused by the inherent mismatch of heteroepitaxy.In this work,we have prepared the strain-free AlN film with low dislocation density(DD)by graphene(Gr)-driving strain-pre-store engineering and a unique mechanism of strain-relaxation in quasi-van der Waals(QvdW)epitaxy is presented.The DD in AlN epilayer with Gr exhibits an anomalous sawtooth-like evolution during the whole epitaxy process.Gr can help to enable the annihilation of the dislocations originated from the interface between AlN and Gr/sapphire by impelling a lateral two-dimensional growth mode.Remarkably,it can induce AlN epilayer to pre-store sufficient tensile strain during the early growth stage and thus compensate the compressive strain caused by hetero-mismatch.Therefore,the low-strain state of the DUV light-emitting diode(DUV-LED)epitaxial structure is realized on the strain-free AlN template with Gr.Furthermore,the DUV-LED with Gr demonstrate 2.1 times enhancement of light output power and a better stability of luminous wavelength compared to that on bare sapphire.An in-depth understanding of this work reveals diverse beneficial impacts of Gr on nitride growth and provides a novel strategy of relaxing the vital requirements of hetero-mismatch in conventional heteroepitaxy.Hongliang Chang Zhetong Liu Shenyuan Yang Yaqi Gao Jingyuan Shan Bingyao Liu Jingyu Sun Zhaolong Chen Jianchang Yan Zhiqiang Liu Junxi Wang Peng Gao Jinmin Li Zhongfan Liu Tongbo Wei 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:1

6Two-dimensional material-assisted remote epitaxy and van der Waals epitaxy: a review显示文摘Heteroepitaxy can reduce the cost and widen the application range of semiconductor film synthesis and device fabrication.However,the lattice and thermal expansion coefficient mismatches between epilayers and substrates limit the improvement of crystal quality and device performance.Two-dimensional(2D)material-assisted heteroepitaxy offers an effective solution to these challenges.The weak interaction at the interface between films and substrates facilitates the subsequent exfoliation and transfer of epilayer for the fabrication of flexible or high-power electronics.Herein,we summarize the modes of 2D material-assisted epitaxy,which can be classified into remote epitaxy,pinhole epitaxy and van der Waals epitaxy based on the interfacial interaction between the epilayers and substrates.Furthermore,we discuss in detail the improved crystal quality and functional applications,such as flexible devices,wavelength-modulated optoelectronic devices,and thermal management in high-power devices.Moreover,we highlight the challenges and prospects of 2D material-assisted epitaxy,providing roadmaps for lateral research and semiconductor production.Zhetong Liu Bingyao Liu Zhaolong Chen Shenyuan Yang Zhiqiang Liu Tongbo Wei Peng Gao Zhongfan Liu 2023National Science Open2023,2,4:0
7Polarized imaging dynamic light scattering for simultaneous measurement of nanoparticle size and morphology显示文摘The performance of nanoparticles is often affected by particle size and morphology.Currently,electron microscopy or atomic force microscopy is typically utilized to determine the size and morphology of nanoparticles.However,there are issues such as difficult sample preparation,long processing times,and challenges in quantitative characterization.Therefore,it is of great significance to develop a fast,accu-rate,and statistical method to measure the size and morphology of nanoparticles.In this study,a new method,called polarized imaging dynamic light scattering(PIDLS),is proposed.The nanoparticles are irradiated with a vertical linearly polarized laser beam,and a polarization camera collected the dynamic light scattering images of particles at four different polarization directions(0°,45°,90°,and 135°)at a scattering angle of 90°.The average particle size and distribution are obtained using the imaging dy-namic light scattering method at 0°polarization direction,and the morphology of the particles is ob-tained based on the depolarization patterns of the scattered light.The optical sphericityΦis defined based on the degree of linear polarization(DoLP).It is also implemented for the quantitative evaluation of the sphericity of the nanoparticles,including spherical,octahedral,nanoplate,nanorod,and linear ones.Together with the Poincarésphere parameterψ,the morphology of the nanoparticles can be roughly identified.In addition,PIDLS enables the measurement of particle size and morphology distributions simultaneously for evaluating the uniformity of particles.The effectiveness of PIDLS is verified by the measurement of five kinds of industrial titanium dioxide as well.Bingyao Wang Tianyi Cai Xiaoshu Cai Wu Zhou Zeqi Liu 2024Particuology2024,85,2:0
8A Privacy-Preserving TPA-aided Remote Data Integrity Auditing Scheme in Clouds显示文摘The remote data integrity auditing technology can guarantee the integrity of outsourced data in clouds. Users can periodically run an integrity auditing protocol by interacting with cloud server, to verify the latest status of outsourced data. Integrity auditing requires user to take massive time-consuming computations, which would not be affordable by weak devices. In this paper, we propose a privacy-preserving TPA-aided remote data integrity auditing scheme based on Li et al.’s data integrity auditing scheme without bilinear pairings, where a third party auditor (TPA) is employed to perform integrity auditing on outsourced data for users. The privacy of outsourced data can be guaranteed against TPA in the sense that TPA could not infer its contents from the returned proofs in the integrity auditing phase. 9Additives enhancing supported amines performance in CO_(2)capture fromair显示文摘The utilization of supported amines as adsorbents in direct air capture(DAC)has been demonstrated to be a promising strategy for the reduction of CO_(2)emissions.To improve the performance of amine-based adsorbents,the incorporation of additives has been widely adopted.In the present study,we conduct a comprehensive comparison of seven additives on tetraethylenepentamine-impregnated mesoporous silica as a representative amine-based adsorbent.The results indicate thatminor molecularweight additiveswith hydroxyl groups show improved adsorption-desorption performance and increase oxidative stability.A proposed mechanism for these improvements is the combined physical and chemical promotion effects of hydroxyl groups.Through a comprehensive review of existing literature,it is found that the effects of additives on amine-based adsorbents are dependent on factors,such as additive type,pristine adsorbent properties,incorporation method,and testing conditions.Based on these findings,it is recommended that future DAC systems prioritize the use of hydroxyl-containing additives,whereas higher CO_(2)concentration and temperature capture may benefit from the incorporation of additives without hydroxyl groups.These conclusions are expected to contribute to the design of efficient adsorbents for CO_(2)capture.Yaozu Wang Yihe Miao Bingyao Ge Zhijun He Xuancan Zhu Shanke Liu Jia Li Lijun Yu 2023SusMat2023,3,3:0
10Okara Cellulose Nanofibrils Produced by Pretreatment with Sustainable Deep Eutectic Solvent Coupled with Various Mechanical Treatments显示文摘In this study,a green,environmentally friendly method for rapid cellulose nanofribril(CNF)preparation with a significant cost advantage was developed.Pretreatment with a deep eutectic solvent(DES)synthesized from oxalic acid dihydrate and choline chloride(ChCl-O)was combined with various mechanical treatment methods to produce okara CNFs from agricultural waste,with different diameter distributions.The results showed that high-speed stirring produced CNFs with an average diameter of 27 nm.This method was advantageous because it consumed about 94%less energy than traditional high-pressure homogenization method.The DES recovery rate was more than 90%,and DES served as a highly effective treatment,indicating that DES pretreatment is an economical,convenient,and effective strategy for okara CNF preparation.Peiyi Li Haozhe Lei Boxing Jian Ruiyan Liu Miaomiao Zhou Yumeng Wang Hezhen Liu Yun Wang Bingyao Zhou 2022Paper And Biomaterials2022,7,2:0
11The role of Cu crystallographic orientations towards growing superclean graphene on meter-sized scale显示文摘Chemical vapor deposition(CVD)-grown graphene films on Cu foils,exhibiting fine scalability and high quality,are still suffering from the adverse impact of surface contamination,i.e.,amorphous carbon.Despite the recent successful preparation of superclean graphene through Cu-vapor-assisted reactions,the formation mechanism of amorphous carbon remains unclear,especially with regard to the functions of substrates.Herein,we have found that the crystallographic orientations of underlying metal substrates would determine the cleanness of graphene in such a way that slower diffusion of active carbon species on asformed graphene-Cu(100)surface is the key factor that suppresses the formation of contamination.The facile synthesis of clean graphene is achieved on the meter-sized Cu(100)that is transformed from the polycrystalline Cu foils.Furthermore,a clean surface of graphene on Cu(100)ensures the reduction of transfer-related polymer residues,and enhanced optical and electrical performance,which allows for versatile applications of graphene in biosensors,functioning as flexible transparent electrodes.This work would offer a promising material platform for the fundamental investigation and create new opportunities for the advanced applications of high-quality graphene films.Xiaoting Liu Jincan Zhang Wendong Wang Wei Zhao Heng Chen Bingyao Liu Mengqi Zhang Fushun Liang Lijuan Zhang Rui Zhang Ning Li Yuexin Zhang Yuchen Liu Kaicheng Jia Luzhao Sun Yixuan Zhao Peng Gao Qinghong Yuan Li Lin Hailin Peng Zhongfan Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:0
